Equilism and The United Federation of Planets invite you to join us for an in-game RP event:

Star Trek Missions: "The Quest for the Celestial Nexus"
A seven-day mission of exploration and competition within the NationStates Star Trek Universe, with in-character role-playing as players explore the galaxy and interact with each other.

The Quest for the Celestial Nexus

Story Summary

In the far reaches of space, a mysterious anomaly known as The Celestial Nexus has appeared, emitting signals of vast, untapped energy and knowledge. Starfleet has mobilized its top captains to investigate, but they are not alone. The Klingons, Romulans, and other galactic powers are also converging on the Nexus, each seeking to control its immense power for their own ends. As one of Starfleet’s captains, you must lead your ships through a series of challenging missions across dangerous and uncharted regions of space. Along the way, you will face fierce opposition, navigate treacherous environments, and gather vital data as you race toward the Nexus.

Each mission will bring you closer to the Nexus and reveal a piece of the larger mystery surrounding its origins and purpose. As the journey progresses, the stakes will rise, leading to a final confrontation in the Nexus Core, where the future of the galaxy will be decided.

----------------------------------------------------------

Participation
Players create a new Star Trek-themed nation and move it to the Fleet Registration region (To Be Announced).
Players post the name of their Main Nation on the Regional Message Board (RMB) to Register.
Once players have registered on the RMB, they may proceed to the first Mission Region.
New nation creation will be allowed for two days, so players may start creating their nations a day in advance of Mission 1. During this registration phase, players can answer issues to help boost their objectives and interact with each other in-character on the RMB.
In-character role-playing is encouraged (but not required) on the RMB of each Mission Region throughout the event.

Game Play
Each day, after the Major Update and the daily points have been tallied, participants will be given instructions for the next mission.
Missions will involve moving to a new region and meeting a specific objective based on a NationStates census metric.
Players must move their nation to the designated region before the next Daily Major Update to remain eligible for that day's points.
Players that miss a day's mission may continue to play the next day's mission, but will not receive points for the mission(s) missed.
Attempt to answer the Daily Issues your nation receives (or not—it's up to you) to possibly help boost your ranking for the day's Mission Objective.
In-character role-playing is encouraged (but not required) on the RMB of each Mission Region, where players can interact as their Star Trek-themed nations.

Points System
For each Mission, points will be awarded based on the Daily Census Ranking, the Mission Objective Ranking, and Random Events.

Daily Census Rankings:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 7 points
3rd place: 5 points
Mission Participation: 2 points

Mission Objective Rankings:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 7 points
3rd place: 5 points

Random Events:

Positive Event: "Your Chief Engineer is a miracle worker and has increased your power output. Gain 1(or 2) point(s)."

Negative Event: "Deflector dish repairs delay your travel to the next mission. Lose 1(or 2) point(s)."

Tie-Breaker System
If nations are tied in points after the final mission:

First Tie-Breaker: Ranking in Mission 7 Objective (To Be Announced during Mission)
Second Tie-Breaker: Ranking in Health (Medical).
Third Tie-Breaker: Ranking in Safety (Security).
Fourth Tie-Breaker: Ranking in Intelligence (Tactical and Operations).

Final Awards Designations:
At the end of the event, after all points have been tallied, the following awards will be given:
