The Abyssilan race is usually very peaceful with regards to international affairs, but every few years, an extreme rage of nationalistic pride surges among all ethnic citizens. This affects all the people in important spots too, including our leader, chancellor, and judges. This pride is so extreme that we usually end up going to war just to satisfy our surge, which usually has negative outcomes.

This surge also somehow increases our military thinking abilities, and makes us quite dangerous due to our advanced strategies.

The reason for this surge is unknown, and a cure has not yet been discovered. Even if one does come eventually, it will probably be impossible to stop this epidemic, since if just one person demonstrates this contagious feeling, all other people around that person will feel it, so it spreads insanely quickly. (By demonstrate, I mean catch it, so even if the person doesn't look or interact at you, you can still catch it.) This only works irl however, so you do not catch anything through screens. It is a separate feeling from extreme nationalism, since that isn't contagious with us. This disease is contagious, however, and the reason why is not known.

Ꮦklᓰչ𝒻chkienshchal usually happens once every 7 years, and can last for a few months (it varies with each person).

I have very little interest in those games though, people don't get how much their nostalgia draws them to Zelda and Mario games.
I am not a big plat former so I have very little desire to play Mario.

If I want to play games I do it on PC.

Think of it like extreme matter and energy manipulation along with telekinesis and rift/portal creation. But within a limited time frame that leaves the user incapacitated for half an hour when the use time is up or they deactivate it.
