Hey y'all, as you guys have known, I have disappeared for like 4 days or maybe more, the reason is pretty simple, my laptop died, pretty reasonable because it's somewhere around 7 years old and was given to me by my aunt (thanks for the laptop!), it can still be fixed by reformatting it but as we all can see *pulls curtains to show what's outside* we can't go out because of you know... corona... Now I'm using a desktop, problem is that the network adapter is broken, but luckily enough we have a pocket wifi and a usb thingy to connect it to the computer! Now I'm able to go to the Googles to type this message, I don't have enough time to make a full post covering the entire 160 messages I missed out on... so just know that I read them and liked them :) Goodbye and hope y'all have a lovely day!

WW2 RP, January 1, 1946 - Unexpected Gift

The Yugoslavian rebel forces marched north to the Eastern front in broad daylight, while Sakirian fighter planes guarded them from above from any air assaults. The treacherous and tiring march was nicknamed the 'March of Slavery' by the leader of the force, General Roberto Dyalinov, who was fullfilling an order from President Lyudmila reluctantly. As soon as they linked up with the Sakirian army divisions, an Allouxian scout spotted them and reported back to his superior. "Sir! Reinforcements marching north!" Private Ben Atzenfür said. "Reinforcements? How many?" Lieutenant Alfred Weninger asked. "5,000 men, sir." The scout responded. "An infantry division will be at your position soon." Alfred replied. He then started ordering one of his subordinate officers to change direction of said infantry division. Meanwhile, the battle of Voronezh continued. The 5,000 Yugoslavians were quite the help for Sakiria. They took out officers, laid out traps, and ambushed camps in the middle of the night of spring. Although, at the beginning of their arrival, they weren't really able to fight, due to the long march, only being replenished by surrounding helpful villages. But as time went on, they became more effective. Meanwhile on the sky, the Sakiriam fighters cleared the trenches clean of enemy soldiers a few times and intercepted Allouxian air support. Now known as the 'New Year' squadrons, the air regiment would instrumental in the battle for Sakiria. While Sakiria had an advantage in the sky, Allouxia had quite the advantage on land. In fact, Allouxia became known for using 'gun wall' tactics, where tanks move as a line and open fire. Allouxia decided to put this tactic to use, again. The 13th Panzer Division, formed a line, made a steady advance, and opened a barrage of fire. Anti-tank mines were placed, and anti-tank rifles and heavy artillery were fired. A few tanks toppled, but the line was still advancing. The Yugoslavs opened fire with their new anti-tank rifles and manage to wreak chaos in the line. But the tanks were still a nuisance. Nearly impenetrable armour, and a butt ton of guns. Then, Sakiria's own tank divisions rolled out, the 4th and 2nd division. The siege went days on, buildings were aflame, the snow crimson from blood, and morale plummeting. But the 13th division gained morale for the Allouxian soldiers. But why? Their incredible luck. Dodging anti-tank mines by an inch, anti-tank shells flying dangerously close to them, and Sakirian bomber planes not noticing them. But despite the enemy 'Lucky 13' division, Sakiria was not going to give up. Sakirian pilots were trained to be more attentive, more effective anti-tank weapons were produced, and officers started to adapt new strategies. It was time to bring an end to the luck, of the Lucky 13.

If you plan on abolishing it, good luck with that. I've been trying to abolish my "no prisons" policy for months now, but I haven't had any luck. NationStates just doesn't want to give me an issue that allows the option.

I’m voting AGAINST for several reasons.
I first want to say that I’m not against abortion by any means. I believe that it is up to the choice of the person in question whether they want to get an abortion or not. My problems are not with the resolution itself, but the way it is written.
1. From the get-go, it is clear that this resolution, despite what it seems, is not written from the opinion of a government body. The use of the word “anti-choice”, Without giving any background to the word itself, is dangerous because it allows member nations to interpret that their own ways.
2. Clause two, funding, is strangely vague as to what the words “speedily” mean. Unlike other definitions (which in my opinion some have been needlessly defined), It is up to the member nation question to determine what speedily means. What is speedily means never? What if speedily means an inordinate amount of time due to bureaucratic red tape? These definitions, or rather, lack of them, undermine the purpose of the resolution question.
3. Clause 3 also undermine the ability of member nations to place tariffs on other nations who produce the goods in question. If a member nation places a tariff on another nation with regards to abortifacients (another definition that should’ve been defined but wasn’t), they should be allowed to do that because tariffs are a method in diplomatic negotiation. This clause undermines the abilities of member nations to be able to control imports and exports to other nations, which is a direct breach of national sovereignty.
4. Clause 4 does not provide an explanation of how WA Choice Plus is going to be paid for. All it says is that the GAO is going to assess the funds needed. Are these funds going to come out of thin air? Is it going to require an increase in fees and donations required by member nations? This is unfair to all nations voted against this resolution because their funds are being increased despite the fact that they didn’t want to create such a body in the first place.
5. Clause 8 is a needless clause due to the fact that if this resolution conflict with any older resolutions, then it would not have been approved in the first place.
Don’t get me wrong, the resolution had a good idea in mind, but the problem that I have with it is that it provides too many legal loopholes for member nations to get out of, as well as it not providing necessary definitions, or including unnecessary definitions that detract from the overall readability of the piece. I feel that a revision of this resolution would be a good idea.

(If I find any more problems with it I will put it in a separate post)

You can’t physically invade a nation on this game. You are gonna have to do a pretend thing, sorta like and RP, with the nation you want to invade. Does this help you?

Thanks for your post. If it helps I wanted to respond to your concerns.

1. While the use of the word anti-choice in the resolution is I admit less than ideal, this word itself is not dangerous. This is because the word is in the preamble, not in an operative clause, so it doesn't contain any power. The sentence just says that "some rabidly anti-choice nations lack medical professionals willing to perform abortions", a statement recognizing that in some pro-life countries, there are few medical professionals willing to perform an abortion.

2. I'll refer you to this section from GA Resolution #2 Rights and Duties of WA States. "Every WA Member State has the duty to carry out in good faith its obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law, including this World Assembly, and it may not invoke provisions in its constitution or its laws as an excuse for failure to perform this duty."

No good faith interpretation of the word speedily can ever mean "an inordinate amount of time." A member state doing so would be an example of noncompliance.

3. Clause 3 of the at vote resolution does not undermine the ability to place tariffs on other nations. One thing to note is the clause prohibits "discriminatory tariffs or tax against section 7 compliant contraceptives or abortifacients," meaning that a member state could not place a tax or tariff solely because of contraceptives or abortion related drugs. It does not prohibit tariffs against other countries for non-discriminatory reasons, regardless of whether the country exports contraceptives or abortion related drugs.

4. Clause 4 seems to say that the clinics will use the "funds assessed by the General Accounting Office from members in which there does not exist, in the view of the WACC, adequate access to abortion." What this means is that these clinics will be funded by the member nations who already don't guarantee an adequate access to abortion. Meaning that if abortion services are adequate in your nation, you are fine. Note that funding abortion and contraceptives will be cheaper for nations in the long run, as this means that they would have to spend less on social services. Furthermore, clause 4 is not unfair to those opposing the resolution. By joining the WA, they agree to abide by all its resolutions. If they disagree with a resolution, they are always free to leave if they wish.

5. If I understand it right, I think this clause is a standard thing Imperium Anglorum does to ensure that their proposal isn't ruled illegal.

I hope this helped.

Hello! Welcome to Wintreath! As Uniopolis said, you can't physically invade another Nation. -Moscow, Sakiria-
Reichsarmee soldiers layed in the trenches dug outside the city, off in the distance brief flashes of orange followed by the sound of an explosion. Overhead ME-262s screeched by heading for the vicous dogfights over the city. "That's the Black Eight" said one of the soldiers. "You serious?" Asked another. "Ja, Oberkommando is sending it's best units to this front. Supposedly the Sakis have been more troublesome then expected. "Atleast we're not freezing to death here, good thing we came prepared". "Supposedly the 501st is being sent to this front, the Sakis had been driven out of Sweden" said another soldier. A stray artillery shell landed just outside there trench. "It's that bad that we need the 501st here?" Asked another. "I don't know what the situation is here, just that the I.G. is coming to this front and that the 501st will be leading the charge. "JAGER KOMPANY GEAR UP WE'RE GOING IN" shouted an officer. As the company of soldiers left there trenches in and marched in another company coming from front walked along side them going the opposite direction. Many of them wounded and filthy, absolute stoic expressions on their face. "That's Kilo Kompany, heard they got hit pretty bad. They were tasked with clearing the industrial sector, didn't go well." Whispered one of the soldiers. "The Sakis are fighting tooth and nail for this city, they aren't gonna give up so easily." Said another soldier.

-Yugoslavia-
"The 13th Panzer Division is currently engaging the enemy, have taken to naming themselves "the Lucky 13". They've made the most progress but are expecting a counter attack by the enemy. "Are any Infanry units avaliable?" Asked a Colonel. "Nein, the 4th and 12th Infanry Divisions are already in combat with the ememy." Replied another major. "Sir the Luftwaffe has a few Fallschirmjäger battalions avaliable, we can send them" replied a Luftwaffe Major. "Very well, have the Fallschirmjäger battalions drop behind the enemy and hit them from behind, we can use the chaos to buy us time to request some Infantry from Oberkommando to support the 13th Panzer Divsion.
