The State of Lozac is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by the Governor with a fair hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, anti-smoking policies, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 30.888 billion Lozacians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small, pro-business, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Education, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital Heights. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.1%.

The thriving Lozacian economy, worth 909 trillion betales a year, is quite specialized and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Basket Weaving, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 29,454 betales, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 171,945 per year while the poor average 2,373, a ratio of 72.4 to 1.

An underground movement of cigarette smokers has sprung up in response to a government ban, Lozac has designated Capital Heights as its capital city, the Governor has just been declared ruler of Lozac in an international press conference, and a major religion has been named as Lozac's national religion. Crime is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Lozac's national animal is the deer, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Lozac is ranked 214,001st in the world and 8th in Solomon Islands for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 26,774.01 Standard Monetary Units.
