The Republic of Zops is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, renowned for its enforced nudity and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 23.098 billion Zopsians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small, pro-business, outspoken government is primarily concerned with Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.7%.

The strong Zopsian economy, worth a remarkable 1,078 trillion Dimes a year, is quite specialized and led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Automobile Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 46,698 Dimes, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 317,494 per year while the poor average 2,509, a ratio of 126 to 1.

Public nudity is compulsory, voting is voluntary, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, and young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables. Crime is a serious problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Zops's national animal is the monkey, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Zops is ranked 33,436th in the world and 1,293rd in Osiris for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring 4,962.2 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
