FCN 2019 Presidential Debate
-

(Note: CP candidate Helpfull people was not in attendance.)

Q1: What inspired you to stand up to the challenge of being the Leader of our great Federation?

Creeperopolis wrote:Ever since I became Head Journalist dead position, I enjoyed participating in the politics and government of the FCN. The nature of our government (how bipartisan and welcoming it is) really motivated me to start being more active around all together. Overall the community of the FCN inspired me to be one of the FCN's leaders.

Vens verbum wrote:What inspired you to stand up to the challenge of being the Leader of our great Federation?
Firstly, I want to say thank you Gagium for hosting this debate and good luck to my competitor Creeperopolis. In regards to your question, this decision is better told through my story of how I came to be apart of this great region. As some of you might know, I originally came from the region of Europe, but was unfairly removed after expressing my conservative views and distaste of the regional delegate IA. I knew that the only safe place for me was to find a region that shared my ideals. After sometime, I received a recruitment telegram asking me to join the Union of Conservative States, a place I thought would be perfect as a new home. I was estatic to be apart of such a great region, but is was curious short. Unbenounced to me, the UCS and the FCN were in the midst of a civil war. After the UCS coup, I migrated to our region and quickly began to try and be involved. I saw where the UCS went wrong and how much this region was doing right. I knew I wanted to make it bigger and better. To truly build a Oasis for exiled conservatives such as myself. After forming the Sons of Adam I only felt it natural to run. I may not be as flashy as my former, but I assure my passion for our region rivals the very founders of it.

Q2: Which individuals do you think best inspired you to get to where you are in the FCN?

I would have to say our President! He has only supported and encouraged my various activities within the region.

Q3: What members of your cabinet (For now, Secretary of Internal Affairs & Secretary of War) have you chosen (if you have), and why have you picked them?

Creeperopolis wrote:I have chosen Gran argreriana for Secretary of Internal Affairs and Doge Republics for Secretary of War.

Gran Argreriana has shown excellent RPing skills ever since he applied to join. I am certain that he will be able to revive the FCN 1910 Blood and Iron RP once again, as the RP really began to pick up action when he joined. I believe Gran Argreriana will do an excellent job on working hard on reviving the FCN RP and will manage the position well.

Good Boy (Doge Republics) has actively participated on FCN military operations in the past, and I am confident that he will continue to work hard on defending the FCN and on leading the FCN on raids and operations in the future.

I look forward to both Gran Argreriana and Good Boy being excellent members of Cabinet and great servants for the FCN.

Do you and Gran Argreriana believe in simply attempting to restart the ongoing roleplay, or do either of you wish for a new roleplay or roleplay reform?
And for your Secretary of War choice: Plenty of others have actively participated on military operations in the past. What makes him stand out?

Creeperopolis wrote:Well, for the first question, we'll most likely have the RPers vote on the matter wether to revive the current RP or start a new one. Whatever the majority want is what we'll do.

For the second question, Good Boy and you have insisted that I join an operation. (I promise I will, regardless wether I win or not) His determination for making me join an operation pushed me to give him a chance at SecWar, along with his supply of puppets. It was a difficult choice to choose between him and Furbish islands, who is my back up option.

Vens verbum wrote:As one might assume, I have chosen my cabinet largely from people within my party. my Secretary of Internal Affairs will be my current party Secretary New Gandor. He has done tremendous work while being in the party and has proven his capability in such a task. He has been loyal, dedicated, and only shown concern for the well-being of our Federation. My Secretary of War, however, is another situation entirely. Part of my stance as being the Chairman of the Sons of Adam is that Crusades against our communist and leftist enemies is essential to our survival as a region. As a party, we have conducted small raids in the past. I wanted my pick to be someone who is both dedicated and shows zeal for our cause. That is why is why I actually desire to base my decision upon who our brave war dogs feel is the best to lead them. I have served on several raids, but not as many as some of our more experienced brothers. Parties are important, I am the founder of one, but it is centrifical that we build a region that is not bound by the boundaries of parties. That is why I do not care to a pick a member within my party, but simply the one who our soldiers feel that is best to lead them. If that is say is you Gagium or even my competitor Creeperopolis I would happily appoint them as I would anyone one of my party members.

Could you further detail on what you mean by your Secretary of War choice? Would you plan on having a vote for Secretary of War; Something that hasn't been done in awhile now? Or would you simply pick who you feel is what our soldiers want?

Vens verbum wrote:Excuse me for my broadness, what I mean is this; I would hold a vote for only those who hold a position within our military for who should be Secretary of War. No one knows who can lead our soldiers best better than themselves.

Q4: What is your stance on how to promote regional growth and inter-regional presence/diplomacy?

Creeperopolis wrote:I believe that creating treaties with the The League of Conservative Nations and the Republic of Free Nations will further the growth and security of all three regions, and I, with the consent and aid of the Senate, will attempt to negotiate terms for such treaties.

I also believe that reopening embassies with The LCRUA will be in the best interests of both regions.

A monthly or bi-monthly wave of recruitment telegrams would also promote our region's growth.

I am interested in your stance on the LCRUA, and I would like to ask you; How would a relationship with them advance conservatism, or promote regional growth or contribute to your eventual goals regarding the FCN?

Creeperopolis wrote:The LCRUA is called the Left Center Right Unification Alliance, and they used to be former important allies. Conservative nations still do exist within the LCRUA, and a, not necessarily a treaty, but just allies, would benefit both nations. Larnion has said he would be open to reestablishing embassies, so a chance to mend relations.

Vens verbum wrote:I believe the key to growth starts with an active forum and ends with strong alliances between other regions. It is no doubt our forums have seen less activity lately, and the holidays are surely to blame for most of it. Yet, I think our region has great potential. I believe the answer to this is by creating and promoting more activities such as the RP. The fact is, people get bored and when they get bored they leave. We must keep creating new and exciting ways to entice our citizens. I think one simple example to this is restructuring the RP. By creating not just one, but multiple RP genres we can really begin to pull people in and start more excitement within the region. In terms of alliances, it is unspeakable how important the relations we established with RTL is, but we must not stop there. I think we should really begin sealing out notable conservative regions whom we can align ourselves with and establish agreements with them. I will even go as far to say that a need for a multi-regional pact is in order to ensure the safety of our region and other like minded ones.

Q5: What will be your policies on internal development, and how will you achieve them to ensure that all citizens and residents have an enjoyable experience in our Federation?

Creeperopolis wrote:As I stated earlier, I believe Gran argreriana will be able to revive the current RP or allow the citizens to vote on a new RP for the region to bring back a feeling of community and allow the FCN's residents to express their creativity, such as that expressed by Eldrado, Vens verbum, and Gran argreriana (good RPing guys, hope we can revive it).

Promotion of more Senate activity is also a must, as the Senate has essentially died recently. A spike in activity has occurred although, which is a good sign. I'll promote the Senate and the responsibility of passing FCN laws both on the FCN RMB, Discord, and WFE.

I will also promote the AoF, as we constantly carry our operations which residents of the FCN can have enjoyment in participating in. I promise to recreate the AoF Factbook and promote the opportunities of service to the Federation through the RMB. (yes, this is internal, as for internal defense, should that ever happen)

Sadly I must leave now, but I will return in 2 hours (approx). I'll respond to any more questions Gagium leaves.

Good luck to Vens verbum and Rivine! God bless.

Vens verbum wrote:I believe this is really a challenge we will begin to see more and more as we grow in population. Now, I mean this, our current rules regarding senators, citizenship, etc. Will all need to be analyzed this coming year. We are much larger than before and therefore have much more challenges to face. Is there a need to having a cap in the Senate? Should we vote for Senators? Do we need to look at the citizenship process? What are our threats domestically? These are all things I don't believe we have answers for, but I believe the job of President is to rally the region together to find them.
As Creeperopolis has said I think the RP is in dire need of reorganizing. As he noted, it is a particular passion of mine as I love to write and develop a cool story. That sort of RP is essential and really pulls together a region. I also would like to see community events that encourage talk between citizens. I'll be honest, a lot of this will be me trying to gather the ideas from our citizens, especially through polls. While I have several ideas of my own I would really like to see our citizens haveore interaction with their government in this coming year.
