Thalassia's Embassy Policy

Any region interested in opening an embassy with Thalassia must meet these requirements:

1. It must contain at least thirty nations, with at least ten of them being World Assembly members.

2. It must have an active regional government, with regular, democratic elections.

3. It must align with Thalassia’s core values, which are: democratism, liberalism, equality, liberty, security, and the freedoms of expression, speech, assembly, and press.

4. It must not be a fascist region or have embassies/relations with fascist regions.

5. It must not be allied with any regions proscribed in Thalassia. (List)

6. It must not be an embassy collector region.

Regions that meet these requirements, and are interested in opening embassies with Thalassia, should contact the current Minister of Foreign Affairs (Veaetmar) on Discord or through telegrams, to schedule talks.

Talks about opening embassies shall occur between the Thalassian Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Thalassian Prime Minister, and the applying region's delegation. Should the talks be successful, opening of embassies shall occur should a vote within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs result in favor of opening embassies (a 51% majority of Thalassian ambassadors), and after the applying region's foreign ministry agrees to do so.

All embassies will be assigned an ambassador. They will be expected to check in with the region's Minister of Foreign Affairs counterpart and continue to check on the region's RMB. All ambassadors assigned to Thalassia will be expected to check in the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Embassy regions are expected to maintain foreign relations with Thalassia.

Violating the embassy policy will result in termination of the embassy. Other grounds for termination may be used, and they will be provided and recorded.
