A 34-kilometer-long bridge will link Mzeusia and Snoodum

Designed with state-of-the-art engineering, this bridge is built to last. Heavy transports such as trucks or trains will be able to go on it, and there will be several pavements to accomodate for many means of transportation, including bicycles. Climatic risks have already been assessed, and weather events should not be a problem. The 34 kilometer long construction is located in the Strait of Kalron, an area where geological risks are limited. Mike Azeo, geological expert teaching in Turnal University has confirmed that there shouldn't be any major problem. The only issue would be unexpected violent earthquake, but the probability in this part of the sea is so low that it won't happen in a million years. The bridge will nevertheless use building techniques able to withstand aftershocks and small tsunamis.

George Hayib, member of the Assembly from the Anarchist Federation (AF) has expressed a few comments on the matter. While he noted that the willingness to open Snoodum a bit more is welcomed, this country is still a "Fascist dictatorship lead by an egocentric tyrant". In this light, it is a bit unsettling to see that a democratic country such as Mzeusia is still so close to Snoodum. The two countries have indeed been in many partnership together for decades and even centuries, but this is always troubling. We can only hope that this relation will make Snoodum more open, and not Mzeusia less friendly.

More cooperation between the two countries may be expected. The Emperor Snudgskooge seemed very pleased with the current plans, and personnally said that although no other project was currently planned, he was willing to pursue the cooperation. Such a press conference underline greatly the importance of such a project for Mzeusia, Snoodum, and Lazarus as a whole.

The matter of transport ships passing under the bridge has also been evoked. A toll for boats passing underneath will be instaured. Sydney Dvořák, from the North-Eastern Voter Union (NEVU) has expressed concerns about it, as it will have a cost on free trade and movement. The exact price is not yet known, so it is hard to assess the real impacts currently. As Fluffiness doesn't do much trade in the area, is is likely that it won't affect Fluffiness' exports and imports. However, humanitarian aid may be affected. We can only hope Mzeusia, or Snoodum will accept to lift the tax if there is an international need.
