Freedom of Marriage

Preamble
A resolution to define the allowance and recognition of marriage in Damanucus, including marriages conducted outside of Damanucus.

Legality of Marriage

1. Any two people above the age of majority, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, may be married by any party able to officiate the union of marriage, specifically:

   • any religious institution recognized by the state and the diocese in which they reside

   • any marriage celebrant recognized by the state

2. Any person between the age of consent and age of majority seeking to enter into marriage can only do so with the express, uncoerced permission of their parent or guardian.

3. Any marriage conducted within national borders that does not meet the aforementioned conditions may be annulled by the state.
   

Legality of Divorce

1. Any marriage conducted within state borders may be annulled by the state.

Recognition of International Marriage
(As constituted by GAR#200 Foreign Marriage Recognition)

1. Any marriage conducted outside of Damanucus shall be recognized as legal provided they are recognized as legal within the state in which they were conducted.

2. Any marriage conducted outside of Damanucus shall not be subject to annulment by the state unless it violates the above conditions regarding marriage.
