I will approach the Court and ask clarification of the Court. This will mean that the Seat will remain vacant, and I will not accept at this time a TPU (party based) proposal to fill in the vacant seat, until court has decided on the matter.
It's simple, the constitution is straightfoward, you resign there is a snap election. Party-based voting was introduced after the convention, while the "succession" section hasn't been changed since the start of the region, therefore it's illogical to assume the party can replace the vacant seat, the interpretation is incorrect.

It is appalling to me that UNI is contesting the idea that TPU can not keep our senate seat due to Titannes resignation. This is a complete power grab for them to remain far in control of the Senate by delaying an opposing party from appointing a Senator.

It's nothing of the sort. I support the right of a party to appoint a replacement when their member of Congress resigns, as I did when Korsinia and West Aldbund resigned.
Levantx, another UNI member of Congress has also expressed his support for this right.
Cerdenia's opposing view is his own opinion and has nothing to do with party politics, so don't try to get that involved when it needn't be.

My apologies for not being very active as of late, but with the start of senior year, collage applications, and an imminent sat retake, I've simply haven't had the time. But as for now, I've appointed Credenia to be my deputy. He'll be representing the government in the current case. Right now we're still hammering out the kinks of the JM, but we're excited to finally be able to start the ministry going.
Thanks Broustan for the opportunity (except for the fact he got my name wrong grrr xD). Either way another announcement to go along with this, I would like to announce I am hereby leaving the Unity Party of Thaecia. It has been great to watch the party I founded grow, however after the success on recent elections proved the party has managed to establish itself well, I have decided it's my time to go. I've told a few people I had grown tired of the party politics a while ago, which is the main reason I did not run for reelection for the Senate. Don't be fooled though, the Unity Party is definitely still my favourite party in the region, I must say the only problem I have is that we ended up having to moderate the party too much in order to make it's success possible, which is something that kind of bothers me, however I have confidence in the current Unity-controlled Senate and House of Commons, the party has some great people, however my time in it is over.
