The united kingdom of high rock

Alright, allow me then. Ahem...

The Lion's Repose, First Edition
High Rock's Premier Source of News

All the King's Men
Yesterday, the streets of Wayrest hosted a most magnificent event commemorating the 10th year of High King Layne's reign of the United Kingdom of High Rock. In a stunning show, the entire main street of the city was closed down and lined with cheering citizens for the High King and his famous royal bodyguards, the Lion Guard, who made their way through the city to begin his kingdom-wide procession. Flowers of every color were tossed at the king's feet and an evening of feasting was enjoyed by all after his departure from the capital. It was truly a spectacular event full of splendor.
Over the coming months, High King Layne intends to visit the greatest cities of High Rock from Daggerfall to Jehanna. The entirety of the Royal Court moves with his majesty. Even the chambermaids. See our extra edition for details of when the High King may pass through your region.

Trouble in Wrothgar
Recent townships in the Wrothgarian Mountains have reported seeing more and more instances of organized, tribal Orcs. Given that the Orcs have been forbidden in the kingdom since the edicts of High King Cymric the Able centuries ago, this is a strange occurrence. These tribal Orcs have taken to the highways of Wrothgar as bandits. To combat the issue and enforce royal authority, the High King has issued sizable bounties for every pair of Orc ears turned in to a local constable. A small forward battalion of the Royal Army has been sent to ensure no major towns or villages become subject to organized looting or raiding. Time will tell how these beastly Orcs got here and how they will end up. It is the belief of the writers here at The Lion's Repose that the situation will be handled swiftly.

The Border Fortification Edict
Before the departure of his majesty from Wayrest, a royal edict was issued to fortify the borders with Skyrim and Hammerfell. As part of this edict, the city of Evermor is undergoing extensive renovations and construction efforts. Travel in and out of High Rock continues to be forbidden to Orcs and Khajiit as it has been since the edicts of King Cymric the Able at the end of the third era. The crown assured us that it "has no plans for hostilities with the Redguards or Nords," but wishes to "ensure the safety and domestic tranquility of the kingdom."

Hail the United Kingdom of High Rock.

Can people post the locations of their nations in Tamriel (if it's not obvious) so I can reference your nation in my factbook and/or region posts?

Not a nation per say. Rather a group of characters around Bruma and northwest-Cyrodiil.

South-West Morrowind, not far from (although not on) the border with Cyrodiil.

Imperial Province of CYRODIIL – BRUMA
28th Last Seed, 4E 203

Aelia Draconis closed the tavern door behind him as he walked out onto the streets of Bruma. The cold air enveloped him and froze his breath. Feeling his whole body shivering he tucked his hands into his pocket and started walking. Though he was a Bruma native, he’d spent most of his life in warmer climates. He never really got used to the cold, much to his dear mothers’ disappointment. He continued down the freshly snow-covered road past the various guild halls onto the main square. A crowd was beginning to assemble in front of the great chapel, towering over most buildings in the city. As everyone liked to point out, it had previously been dedicated to Talos, before the great war, though that was already long ago. Now it was more undetermined, though officially it was now called the great chapel of Saint Martin. Aelia thought that downgrading from a god to a saint was rather lacklustre solution, though because he wasn’t much of a religious man, he didn’t give it much thought. Neither did the population of Bruma either apparently, for as far as he could tell the chapel wasn’t frequently used. With that in mind the large crowd in front of it became much more interesting and he decided to get closer look to see what was going on.

As he approached, he saw that in front of the main entrance a snobbish imperial messenger stood in colourful garbs, waiting impatiently for his assistant to get the correct document from a large backpack. Aelia wandered closer to get a better look, but suddenly found himself bumping into a familiar face.

“Varius, so good to see you here. I see you haven’t gone to the camp yet?” Varius looked back in a mixture of surprise and delight.

“Aelia, damned good to see you. You’re correct, I was on my way there, but this imperial messenger turned up and clogged the damn square. Thought I’d stick around and hear what he had to say.”

Stopping beside him, Aelia motioned towards the messenger. “So, he’s said anything yet?”

Varius shook his head. “Damned idiot’s been waiting for this poor boy to find the correct speech. Been several minutes already.”

Just as he’d finished his sentence the assistant finally found the right document and handed it over to the messenger. His jubilant face soon turned sour when he saw the messenger’s angry expression. After clearing his throat, the messenger finally started speaking.

“Loyal citizens of our the empire, it is with great joy that the High Chancellor with the blessing of our great Emperor, announce that in light of the deteriorating security in the border regions, several Imperial Legion units will be transferred north to a new division and reform the Eighth Legion, also called the Pale Legion. To lead this heroic force will be the beloved Imperial Princess Clivia Mede. Fear no longer, for our great Empire protects all its citizens. Praise be Akatosh and all the divines and praise the Empire!”

The assembled crowd reacted with a mixture of cheering and disinterest. Aelia and Varius on the other hand hurried away towards the eastern gate.

“Damn, so this is why we were transferred up to this hellscape.”

Aelia bumped him in the shoulder. “Hey now, you do know this is where I was born?”

Varius shrugged and continued walking. “Still doesn’t mean I’m wrong.”

After the two men passed through the gate, they continued past the stables and down the road towards the provisional Legion camp that had been set up just outside the city. Varius though continued mumbling to himself. “And under some imperial twat as well. Damnit all.”

Aelia gripped Varius’s shoulder hard to stop him. “Shut it now! Have you gone mad? Continue spewing such crap and it’ll be the gallows in no time. Now continue walking before we’re late for roll call.”

Varius forcefully pulled himself free and continued walking to the camp. Grumbling as he tried desperately to warm his hands. Aelia could only shake his head in disappointment and follow behind. It looked like the weeks ahead would be quite eventful.

Trollz and Alofstead

The united kingdom of high rock

All of High Rock proper plus some contested land with Hammerfell in the Dragontail Mountains, capital in Wayrest, but royal court is on the Isle of Balfiera.

Trollz and Alofstead

(I am also basically a group of characters that wanders throughout Tamriel. The main character is of course the eponymous Trollz, while the other characters come and go at the whim of the story.

For the sake of interest, as well as some fun since I haven't done a Character List for a while, here is a list of the major Trollz characters as well as a little bio about them:

The Third Trollz Saga Characters:

Trollz - Frost Troll - Currently in northern Cyrodil between Bruma and Cheydinhal. Trollz is the eponymous hero of the Trollz Sagas. With limited powers of speech he was cursed by Hircine early on to become a weretroll. The First Trollz Saga deals with Trollz and his companions seeking out the Wolfsbane Petals to cure the disease of lycanthropy. The Second Trollz Saga opens up with Maerwyn cured, but Trollz still afflicted by the curse of Hircine. At the conclusion of the Second Trollz Saga the Curse of Hircine is lifted from Trollz after Madai removed the Savior's Hide which was grafted to his back. Using his ability to transform one last time permanently, Trollz opted to change from a regular troll into a frost troll. Falling from great heights in his fight with Madai, the Third Trollz Saga deals with Trollz' adventures with Madai.

Madai - Nordic Male - Currently in northern Cyrodil between Bruma and Cheydinhal. Madai is a Nordic werewolf and former Companion. The father of Medea, in the First Trollz Saga Madai is alluded to a few times and first seen in a vision of Maerwyn's past as the werewolf that infected Maerwyn. At the end of the Second Trollz Saga Madai crashes the wedding of Maerwyn and Medea, severely injuring much of the party and killing Asher and a high priestess of Kynareth. In a mad attempt to gain the favor of Hircine and become a beast forever, he attempts to sacrifice Medea and Cassandra to the Daedra, but is stopped by the intervention of Trollz. Distraught over losing the favor of Hircine, the Third Trollz Saga deals mainly with Madai's flight from Skyrim where he is a wanted criminal.

Ajax - Argonian Male - Currently in northern Cyrodil between Bruma and Cheydinhal. Ajax began in the First Trollz Saga as a slave trader located in Suran in the employ of King Eros when the Argonians invaded and enslaved much of Morrowind. Nearly dying in a blight storm, Trollz spared his life and he joined the party to help them find the Wolfsbane flower. Afterwards Ajax returned to Argonia only to find his native province in political disorder following the fall of the two royal factions Goodnamesarealltakenvania and South federalist that dominated Argonia. Ajax became an assassin for the Dark Brotherhood, and in his hunt for Madai, reconnected with Trollz in the Third Trollz Saga.

Sandy - Sabre Cat Female - Died in the Blackreach. Sandy was a sabre cat that Trollz took pity on, giving her some food. Madai, fond of animals named her Sandy after the color of her fur. The sabre cat accompanied them throughout the latter half of the Third Trollz Saga. In the Blackreach the sabre cat sacrificed herself to fight off the Falmer before they could kill both Trollz and Madai, allowing them to escape from the subterranean dungeon.

Other Trollz Characters:

Maerwyn - Wood Elf Male - Currently in Whiterun, Skyrim. Maerwyn is Trollz first companion, whom stumbled across eachother outside of Bravil in the First Trollz Saga. Due to his inherent ability to speak the tongue of beasts, Maerwyn has increased Trollz vocabulary and is the character most close to Trollz. Made a werewolf by the infection of Madai, the First Trollz Saga deals with Maerwyn seeking, and finding, a cure for the disease in the form of the Wolfsbane flower. In the Second Trollz Saga Maerwyn finally marries his love, Medea, only to be horrifically injured by Madai. Close to dying, Maerwyn offers Trollz the chance to turn into him and become a human, but Trollz instead opted to become a frost troll in order to have the strength needed to deliver Maerwyn to the healers in time to save his life.

Medea - Nordic Female - Currently in Whiterun, Skyrim. Medea is the daughter of Madai, and later the wife of Maerwyn. She was originally a Mage, unusually talented in magic for her race. After her father mauled and infected Maerwyn she accompanied the wood elf out of remorse for her father's actions, and turned briefly to daedric worship to try to find a cure. After the cruelty of Hircine to Trollz, she forsook Daedra worship and decides to try to find the Wolfsbane Petals as a cure instead. In the course of the First Trollz Saga she also becomes one of the few wielders of the powerful spell Finger of the Mountain, though she is unable to cast it until the Second Trollz Saga. In the Second Trollz Saga Medea and Maerwyn finally get married, but their wedding is crashed by her father Madai. She is nearly sacrificed to Hircine by her father, but the timely intervention of Trollz saves her.

Sir Mazog - Orc Male - Currently travelling through Tamriel. Sir Mazog is an orc that originally was a bandit in the pass between Morrowind and Cyrodil. Spared by Maerwyn, he joins the group for the rest of the First Trollz Saga. The Second Trollz Saga opens up with Sir Mazog and his associates, now a member of the Imperial Legion, enlisting the aid of Maerwyn, Medea, and Trollz to combat the small Akaviri invasion of Tamriel. After defeating the Akaviri at the lengthy Battle of Baan Malur, he accompanied his friends to Skyrim and the wedding of Medea and Maerwyn. Sir Mazog helped Trollz save Medea and Cassandra from Madai. As a point of interest Sir Mazog traces his lineage back to the female orc knight of Leyawin, Sir Mazoga of the third era.

Sir Plutarch - Imperial Male - Currently travelling through Tamriel. A member of the Imperial Legion, Sir Plutarch is first introduced in the Second Trollz Saga as an associate of Sir Mazog and Sir Jaquavis. Large and boisterous Sir Plutarch wields heavy two handed hammers and performed valiantly in the Battle of Baan Malur. Despite his size, Plutarch is very skilled in Restoration magic, which he uses to augment his speed despite wearing cumbersome armor and being a big guy himself. Surviving Madai's attack on the wedding of Maerwyn and Medea, Sir Plutarch and Sir Mazog rescue Cassandra and Medea from being sacrificed by Madai at the end of the Second Trollz Saga.

Sir Jaquavis - Redguard Male - Currently travelling through Tamriel. Sir Jaquavis is a Redguard member of the Imperial Legion and the associate of Sir Mazog and Sir Plutarch. Skilled in dual wielding blades, he performed valiantly in the Battle of Baan Malur. Accompanying the adventurers to the wedding of Maerwyn and Medea he was terribly injured by Madai and lost his left arm.

Cassandra - Breton Female - Currently travelling through Tamriel. Cassandra is a Breton skilled in the lost magical school of Mysticism that the group encounters near Dagon Fel in the First Trollz Saga. She often cryptically foretells the future and has the power to induce visions, such as when she shows the group a vision of Maerwyn's past. In the Second Trollz Saga she arrives at Baan Malur as a diplomat from the former kingdom of Ardoland representing High Rock. Reconnecting with her friends at Baan Malur she is granted leave from the High Rock nation to join them after the battle in their adventures to Skyrim. She is abducted during the wedding of Maerwyn and Medea, and nearly sacrificed by Madai before being saved by Trollz.

Soregh - Dunmer Male - Currently the chieftain of an Ashlander tribe on a reservation in Morrowind. Soregh starts off in the First Trollz Saga as a warrior of the Ashlanders. He accompanies the adventurers to find the Wolfsbane Petals and returned to Morrowind following the adventure. He married Felicity, his longtime love, and together the two have a son. During the Second Trollz Saga he fights with the Ashlanders at the Battle of Baan Malur against the Akaviri. Following his father-in-law Asher's decision to join Trollz and company, Soregh has become the chieftain of his Ashland tribe.

Felicity - Dunmer Female - Currently on an Ashlander reservation in Morrowind. Felicity is the daughter of Asher and the wife of Soregh. In the First Trollz Saga she is found to be an enslaved stripper in Suran. She helps Maerwyn and Sir Mazog escape from Suran and goes on the run with them. Highly xenophobic like many Ashlanders, she particularly disdains the Argonians that enslaved her and her people. Felicity reconnects with her love Soregh, and the two are married. After the events of the First Trollz Saga Felicity returns with Soregh to Morrowind where they have a son together.

Asher - Dunmer Male - Killed by Madai in Skyrim. Asher is the father of Felicity. The raspy voiced Dunmer chieftain of a tribe of Ashlanders, he first meets Trollz and company when they bring his daughter Felicity back to him, freed from Argonian slavery in the brothels of Suran. In the Second Trollz Saga, Asher and Soregh along with many warriors of the Ashlander tribes rally to the defense of their Dunmer brothers against the Akaviri at the Battle of Baan Malur. Following the battle, Asher decides to accompany Trollz and company to Skyrim for Maerwyn and Medea's marriage in order to repay them for bringing his daughter back to him and enabling her marriage to Soregh. Asher is killed by Madai at the wedding when, despite his valiant fight, Madai breaks his back. )

Nadd, Argonia and black marsh, and Alofstead

Cheers, guys! When I have some more spare time, I'm going to start creating embassies between my nation and others and will update my factbook with the outcomes (in a RP fashion!).

Trollz

The Burgrave has, with the blessing of Lord Jyggalag, decided to open Embassies to further the prosperity of Alofstead and it's allies.

In no particular order, the following embassies have been created:

1. Tribune Arminius Orientius has negotiated a trade agreeement with The united kingdom of high rock. This agreement allows the trade of Alofsteader pearls for Breton silver.

2. Tribune Areobindus Orientius was sent to Argonia and black marsh to negotiate a military alliance. It was successful and Alofstead have promised to defend Argonia and black marsh's independence and they have agreed to the vice versa.

3. The Fellowship of Trollz are now honoured guests in Alofstead. They are to be provided with their own houses in exchange for their many fine tales of their travels.

4. The same courtesy has been extended to Nadd in exchange for mercenary service.

5. Tribune Carolus Rivetus is currently at court in Dreughia negotiating a trade deal where Alofsteader saltrice will be traded for the Dreugh's slaughterfish meat.

Trollz and Dreughia

The united kingdom of high rock

The United Kingdom of High Rock of course agrees to trade with Alofstead and hopes to build good will based on this and both nation's heritage as half-elven peoples. A Breton diplomat named Sir Eldric Llewel is sent to the court of Alofstead to cement diplomatic relations.

The Empire of Tamriel: Betrayed and Enslaved 27th Last Seed, 4E 203

Nearing Cheydinhal some Imperial Legion soldiers bearing insignia of Nadd pass by the trio on the highway, going the opposite direction to Bruma. The party just quietly continues walking until the soldiers are out of ear shot.

"It seems a lot of Legion have passed us by, moving to the North lately. Perhaps the Elder Council the locals spoke about shall come to pass." Madai wonders aloud.

"Perhapsss. Or perhaps they are looking for a wanted fugitive from Sssskyrim" Ajax hisses dismissing the thought. "An associate of the Brotherhood shall meet us sssoon. He is a Bosmer in the employ Argonia and black marsh, the nation that seems to be rising in the land of the Hist. It is he who we will have to convince to revoke your contact."

Madai steels his face looking head more vigilantly and picks up his pace with no reply, while Ajax continues his regular pace in silence. Trollz frolics some distance through the brush off the roads so as to not be confused by the numerous travelers of the highway for a hostile beast. Some deer run past at his movement, an imp flies absentmindedly in the distance. Trollz stops and pauses to watch them go by for a moment. Even though Trollz was born and from the southern parts of Cyrodil, near Bravil, he can sense something familiar about the climate here as they leave the mountainous and cold Skyrim-like climate around Bruma.

It has been over a year since Trollz left Cyrodil with Maerwyn and Medea. It has been a year exactly since Trollz and all the friends he came across found the Wolfsbane flower in Solstheim and then they all seemingly broke apart into quiet happy retirement. It has been months since Trollz has seen them when he fell off the Throat of the World with Madai. Trollz' animal brain and sense of the climate around him knows the area around Cheydinhal is not the same, but he can sense his original homeland is not far also. Though he can't fully understand it, Trollz instinctually feels a sort of tie to the land where he began and knows within himself that he is nearing his comfy little trollhole from whence he began.

---------------------------------------------

As the evening nears sunset the trio can see Cheydinhal's walls in the distance over the massive forest. Madai strains looking around in the gloom. Trollz joins the other two on the road walking between them and acting as a pet, though they do not see anymore passersby as the day draws near a close. Ajax goes to turn around to announce the set up of camp for Madai to transform, but a black feathered arrow whizzes past his face and strikes a tree. Madai in a fast motion draws his axe and turns to face the other side of the road from where the arrow came from while Ajax reaches for his crossbow. Trollz pounds the ground and points in front of them smelling someone. Suddenly in front of them a hooded wood elf in jet black light armor appears and holds up his hand.

"Hold your fire it is I, Rangal." The Bosmer Dark Brotherhood Listener states looking calmly at Ajax, though in his right hand behind his back the glow of a spell charges up.

"Rangal, you are late." Ajax sneers and relaxes his hand from his crossbow's trigger.

"Yes, I had to wait for the weather to cloud up before I could leave." The Bosmer's pale face gives a twisted smile, his eyes unusually yellow seem to glow from under the shadow of the late day cast by his hood.

"I trust you received the message I sent from Riften last month." Ajax replies somewhat cryptically while Madai looks between the two clutching his axe a little more firmly.

"Yes I did, an unusual request to let him live...… So, you're the mad werewolf that we have heard so much about. My my, murdering a priestess of Kynareth, getting several Companions killed and expelled from their guild, and even escaping your execution in Falkreath! You might be one of Skyrim's most wanted criminals ever." Rangal turns to Madai and laughs darkly.

"Yea, I'm Madai Thundermoon. So can you call off your Dark Brotherhood's little flunkies from trying to kill me or should I just kill you now?" Madai growls back gritting his teeth and stances himself ready it seems for the latter option he gives the assassin.

"My my, what an attitude! You're in luck werewolf, though there is a sizeable bounty on your head, the Brotherhood sees some merit in leaving you alive and annulling the contract upon you. That is of course if you are willing to comply with us." Rangal nods his head and lets his hand relax and the spell he was charging fade.

"Comply how?" Madai on the other hand tenses up still more and breathes out from his teeth.

"Well to start it would probably be smart if we got into Cheydinhal before you turn into a werewolf. Here take my blade and my bow if you don't trust me." Rangal pulls out a small glowing enchanted daggers with such speed that the blade gleams unsheathed in less than the blink of an eye. He throws it at Madai's feet, the point sticking out of the ground just an inch from his foot with a grin before more slowly laying his bow down on the ground and stepping away for Madai to consider it.

Madai looks down at the dagger before his feet. He steps over the glowing knife and approaches Rangal's bow. Ajax takes a step forward coming up behind Trollz, his hand glows for a moment and he touches it to Trollz back. Immediately Trollz minds goes clear and a strange sort of fogginess falls over his eyes. It is the same sensation he felt long a go when he encountered M'aiq the Liar.

Trollz gives out a trollshriek and charges Madai taking the Nord by surprise and knocking him over. Ajax pulls out his mace and Rangal runs up with incredible speed and retrieves his bow, all ready drawing the string back with a loaded arrow. Madai feels the wind knocked out of him as Trollz slams him off the road pummeling him with blows. He looks up puzzled into Trollz eyes and sees them out of focus and magically glowing. Realizing Trollz is under a Control Beast spell, Madai bucks a mighty kick sending Trollz reeling backwards.

Getting to his feet Madai ducks just in times to avoid an arrow that goes past his head. The next arrow however hits him in the chest and he gives out a yelp at the stinging poison in it as he throws himself into the underbrush. As he reels about three more arrows coming from different directions strike Madai in his back and his back and his arm. Three more dark shrouded figures appear surrounding Madai, their bows drawn back pointing at him as Rangal and Ajax come out of the treeline towards them.

Possessed Trollz charges in again at Madai but just as he goes to swing his fist Ajax casts a green light upon him. Trollz freezes paralyzed and awkwardly falls rigidly over. One of the hooded figured releases their arrow and it strikes Madai in the wrist causing him to drop his axe. The other two figures release their shafts as well and he takes an arrow in both knees! Madai cries out as he falls upon his shot knees, the arrows snapping, the metal arrowheads driving deeper into them.

"He is a handsome werewolf." Removing her hood to show a pale but beautiful brunette Imperial woman with long crazy curly hair she smiles with her pearly vampire fangs exposed. She walks up to Madai and runs her fingers across his blonde beard.

"Bella must you play with the food?" The hooded assassin to Bella's right scoffs with a tone of disapproval.

"I wasn't going to eat him, I was thinking he might make an interesting mate." Bella smirks seductively in front of Madai's face and she runs her hand across his heaving chest to the wound where Rangal's arrow pierced him. Madai gasps from the pain as Bella twists the arrow head embeded in his flesh. Sucking the blood off her fingers she grins. "Mmm then again, I've never tasted werewolf before, so many of our kind never has. An exotic delicacy."

"I wonder what happens if we turn him?" The assassin to Bella's left asks curiously and approaches, lowering her hood to reveal a Redguard woman, very lightskinned for her race by pallor approaches.

"Oh Olivia you just want him all to yourself." Bella pushes the Redguard woman back.

"Let me have a taste sissy!" Olivia the Redguard snarls baring her vampiric fangs and she lunges forward, but Bella pushes her to the side and the two vampiress bicker over Madai swooning from pain, licking at his wounds.

"How about a finder's fee." Rangal walks forward and grins widely flashing off his fangs in Madai's face showing that he was also a vampire. Madai just keeps breathing deeply and looks past his tormentors, the poison and the wounds coursing through him. He looks up to the sky ever blackening and can see the faint outlines of the Moons, their power will begin growing.

"Speaking on that." Ajax says softly looking trepidly between the three vampires as the sun dips below the horizon.

"Yes yes, Ajax. You'll have your money." Rangal stands up and casts a bag of coin at Ajax feet.

"This is only half!" Ajax protests.

"Well you didn't assassinate the prey, we did." Rangal laughs and waves his hand dismissively." Though I suppose you did well enough delivering the werewolf to us alive and fresh! That's worth a promotion within the Brotherhood. I suppose as an extra matter I could get you a way back to Argonia and black marsh with me too and you can come back to your homeland."

"And the troll?" Ajax asks narrowing his eyes, but a tone of ravenous eagerness in his voice.

"Whatever you want to do with the beast, the Arena's beastmaster is in Cheydinhal. I think we both know you arranged that. I suppose with your greed Ajax that you were going to sell it." Rangal laughs. "What do I care about a simple troll?"

The sun slides past the horizon within a the few seconds as Rangal's laugh dies away. In the sky the faint light of the moons glows. Madai's eyes widen and he heaves in a big breath and let's out an almost inhuman scream. In the blink of an eye just as he is about to transform into his werewolf form all the vampires pounce on him biting into his flesh and drinking his blood. The dark-haired vampire named Bela sucks upon his neck and rips his jugular as Olivia tears her head backward and takes her place in the vampiric feeding frenzy.

"Turn him!" Rangal commands breathlessly and opens a vein in Madai and begins gorging himself in blood from Madai's other wrist which was not struck with an arrow.

"Drink from me lover" Bella looks into Madai's wild eyes as he swoons and his eyes flicker, his body going pale from the loss of his blood. Bella bites down on her tongue and gives him a kiss as the darkness of the night overtakes the vision of the others in shadows briefly illuminated by the moons.

----------------------------------------------

Trollz wakes up groggily in a small iron cage the next bright sunny day. Immediately he begins to freak out looking around and banging on the bars trying to get out, putting a fair dent in one. He feels the blast of a spell and his mind goes clear, but not totally foggy, as a Calm spell hits him. Madai and the Dark Brotherhood assassins are all gone. Looking passively around Trollz sees some men flanking him, but under the influence of the spell's blissfully ignorant effects he happily gives it no thought and looks around slouched in the corner of the rolling carted cage. A small train of cages bearing various creatures from around Tamriel, and guards in Imperial Arena garb march down the wide highways.

Coming to a fork in the road Ajax the Argonian walks forward to Trollz cage with a strong Imperial Arena man, the beastmaster. Trollz lolls his head back and forth looking at Ajax, recognizing him, but the Calm spells effects start to interfere with his thoughts. Trollz' brow knits as the spells effects weaken somewhat as his heart fights with the muddled effects in his head. Trollz gives Ajax a confused sort of look.

"F-friend? Friend why?" Trollz stammers both from his weak ability to speak as well as the confusions in his mind and heart from the betrayal.

"Madai was a doomed man from the start........ I am sorry, but this is the only way I could let you live Trollz. Consider you sparing me in Morrowind repaid." The red scaled Argonian looks Trollz in the eye for a moment, hit with a pang of guilt, Ajax turns his head away. Taking a pouch of gold from the Arena beastmaster, Ajax departs at the fork in the road.

Emps hasn't been active here for several years, only visiting now and then. If you've got plans or ideas, don't expect his participation.

(I can see in my Dossier from where I added The Emperor of Tamriel that his last activity was 4 days a go, so perhaps be patient. Either way I been thinking with so few of us we can just RP in something of a mock council. My last posting is the conclusion of the Third Trollz Saga so I will take a little break I figure here before starting the Fourth Trollz Saga. Special thanks to Argonia and black marsh for letting me use Rangal in the last posting as well as his and Nadd following my storyline from at least the Third Saga I had seen in the likes, and hence the cameos of characters from their nations as a nod to them.

I would say anticipating our coming Elder Council whether it be official or just in the RP terms since there is so few of us, I will give a bit of the Region RP and related history summarized (merely flip through the pages here if you like instead: page=display_region_rmb/region=the_empire_of_tamriel?start=77650 ) to help for context.

It seems as if right now smaller factions like city states or small successor states are arising in some of the provinces while in other the power vacuum and fractious nature has had the provinces sort of stagnate in the shadow of the CTE-ing of the older nations and factions once present in them. The last time we had something like an Elder Council was around when I did the Second Trollz Saga. We did a minor timeskip to the year 203 4E due to the Region staying in 202 4E for a very very long time lol. However the calendar is still technically disjointed as I started accounting for the RP year when we reckoned the calendar last which was in the Autumn of 2019, though I have kept simply the date the same and the months are merely mismatched. I would propose we do another timeskip of a few months to bring us to the real time equivalent of the Elder Scrolls calendar system, about Rain's Hand (April) of the year 204 4E on whatever date, and if we all agree, to have a minor time skip and calendar reckoning ( for reference to the Elder Scrolls Calendar system; https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Calendar ).

At the last time the community had a Council the RP world was flourishing also. It was decided to have a sort of Regionwide RP event. A small invasion of the Akaviri which the various active nations at the time participated in to their will on the RP world. The Akaviri assaulted namely Morrowind at the major weeks long Battle of Baan Malur which Trollz, a now fallen faction named Great Redoran, and the former overlords of High Rock, Ardoland took part. While the Battle of Baan Malur was occurring there was also simultaneously a massive battle between the Akavir and the Nibenean Empire in Leyawin that had dire consequences for the city and the former faction that ruled it. The Nibenean Empire for a long time was the last real sizeable active state and over the course of a year had ruled over much of the cities and towns of southern Cyrodil. going back as far as my own start as Trollz. The Nibenean Empire though they did manage to repel the Akaviri, they were in-RP devastated by the Akavir fitting well OOC as their nation would become gradually more inactive after the brief war and would CTE. Following the Battle of Baan Malur and the Akaviri flight by sea.\ the Bretons of High Rock that had been loosely united under the banner of Ardoland managed to destroy the remnant of the Akaviri navy near the coasts of Skyrim. Afterwards Ardoland held High Rock in peace and made some trade deals but also would CTE, though I presume that in a way peacefully allowing for High Rock to reform peacefully under a new political faction similar to Argonia.

Though I am able to continue the Trollz Story from this point solo if needed; I can't help but wonder if it be fitting to bring back a second wave of the Akaviri invasion, and perhaps even turning it into a wider war? We don't necessarily have to continue the Akaviri War in particular, but I think it be fun to give a sort of Regionwide event both to mark this time era and also to have something that can be played upon from the multiple angles of the various nations, factions, and characters of The Empire of Tamriel. Either way just some thoughts and suggestions I guess that may be helpful while I go on an in-character trollbreak between Sagas briefly before throwing Trollz into the Arena lol.)

An Akaviri invasion could work well as we have a lot of nations in the East of Tamriel. Alternatively, we could have a second continent-wide Oblivion Crisis. I'm interested in any suggestions tbh.

Another Oblivion Crisis may be repetitive, but an Akaviri invasion could be realistic. Remember that Lloros Sarano in the Ald’ruhn Temple (TESIV Morrowind) said that “I’ve heard rumours that Akaviri is making preparations to invade us again. They are apparently only waiting for the Empire to collapse in Civil War or some other crisis.". So, an Akaviri invasion could take place in the year 204 4E.

(Indeed. On top of that in the Region's RP world we all ready had a first wave of the Akaviri Invasion, so in the sorta story setting we could play it off like that was the sort of scouting invasion attempt, moreso like them testing Tamriel's defenses, and that this second wave could be a lot more hardcore, a full blown invasion and occupation of some of the coastal parts making it more of a wider war.)

Wouldn't both be a bit repetitive? How about a hoard of Sload Necromancers who are attacking Tamriel's west coast. No-one would anticipate that and it would be fun to RP the scrambling to organise a defence force.

The problem for me is that my nation is somewhere between Tamriel's version of the 1940s or 50s! However, I'm happy to RP a historical version of my nation on this board :)

(Lol though that sounds like a hilarious idea the only problem I can see is as noted earlier almost all the active nations besides High Rock are located heavily in the east so they probably wouldn't be very effected by a sload onslaught.

I don't think an Akaviri Invasion would be too repetitive because we could make it much bigger in scope than before to make it more of a long term war. Also since we had the first wave of the invasion it wouldn't so much be repetitive as it would just be additive, building upon some plot that we all ready have. I imagine if there was another Akaviri Invasion, we could do it from a stance of being much more grim. It be easy to see how the inhabitants of Tamriel might have grown complacent and a little arrogant being able to defeat the last wave in a mere month. But we could play upon that, sort of like how the Allies underestimated Germany at the start of WW2 thinking they would hold them off in France similar to WW1 only to find the Maginot Line totally overwhelmed quickly by the blitz.)

(I don't quite understand what you mean. Though it does make me laugh thinking about making Trollz into a greaser. We don't necessarily have to do a timeskip, I just figured now is a good time for me to timeskip and it might be handy to align the real world calendar with TES calendar for the sake of easy organization.)
