You do not have to pay for mods. At all. There is a short list of "mods" created by both Bethesda and select participating creators that are only accessible by being paid for, effectively rendering them as community created DLC rather than "mods". I do not consider them mods because of the nature of how it works, they truly should be considered community created DLC. There is no problem with this because:
A) You do not have to buy them, just like any other DLC. It's not forced in any way and there are very few of them.
B) There are still infinitely more mods available 100% for free. Some of which do the same things the paid ones do, often times better.
C) If you do chose to do a paid mod, created by a modder and not Bethesda, a portion of those proceeds DO go to the original creator. So you are supporting them and their work. It won't be much, but if even a few people buy their mod/DLC that's one meal for them right there.
D) It's still optional.
OOC: So interesting tidbit of information I just randomly decided to do for no real reason- Lets assume for a moment that a vampire killed one person a day, every day, without fail. The reason and means are irrelevant. Now lets assume that vampire is 7223 years old, the same age a Sam, a number chosen to reflect a theoretical minimum number of people that Sam has killed during his life time. Well, assuming they only killed one person every day AND we also take into consideration that of those 7223 years 1805 of them would be leap years with an additional day to them, then the vampire in question would end up killing 2,638,200 people over the course of those 7223 years.
Now, taking into consideration that in his lifetime Sam has:
- Participated in the Blood Wars and with the help of Saria and Jet, managed to kill enough vampires in just five years that they forced the 30 year long war to an indecisive end. The three of them also worked together to kill their entire kingdom's army for their betrayal. Just, a whole Kingdom's army. Slaughtered like cattle in a fit of rage by two angry boi's and a woman scorned.
- Rather actively been killing any and all werewolves, vampires, and humans who were proven a threat to innocent life throughout all that time.
- Helped deal with bringing an end to the Psykee back in the OG TGC, which yes is a canon thing, and was an entire race where most of their planet was military forces.
- Wiped out an entire plane of Perdition by himself after it, by coincidence, kidnapped him to fight in a Colosseum. He found the portal by total accident.
- Shut down a budding vampire organization attempting to reintroduce the Blood Wars to bring about vampiric superiority, then later tracked down the escaped leader and killed what remained of the small army.
- Was a pirate for several decades, actively hunting down other pirate crews that terrorized citizens, and went after the Marines as well. Just another vacation really.
- Was a key member of the Golden Age of Aura noted as being among the most powerful of those who lived at the time which, while it may have been prime time for the aural arts, can't exactly be called a "blood-free" era. *Thinks back to an age old RP where 17 year old Colton casually impaled a man's face and torso with a massive halberd made of ice*
Basically what I'm getting at is, upon late night reflection, Sam has actually killed a LOT of things. Almost certainly more than that theoretical 2.6 million because this just covers the things that have actually been covered in RP. There's seven thousand years of history that I've never properly fleshed out for the guy. A lot of wars happened in that time, for sure he participated in at least a few of them, and considering this is Sam we're talking about he would've produced results through body count. While he may not have kept up with the 1 per day quota, I'd say things like killing a small army worth of vampires would technically let him go two years without killing anything at all and still be ahead of the game...so. Yeah. And this number wouldn't just apply to Sam. It helps put into perspective just how many things ANY immortal character has potentially slain, assuming killing has been a central part of their life as it has proven to be for Sam's.
Dunno why I went into this, but the thought popped into my head and I had to. Time for bed. Good night.
Space, the final frontier.
These will be the following voyages of the starship Wabacha.
Boldly going were every sci-fi franchise has gone before!
To clarify my next one after John's response will be in space, this isn't a two parter.
The sudden surprise of Kohlra grappling Demigra from behind, even being able to hold the demon god back in a form that none of them had ever seen before. Regular super saiyan but... There was something else to it, an undertone of absolute pressure that they couldn't detect at all.
For Flaz this was the first time he had met his adopted son's real mother, sure he heard all the stories that he told him after he took the young Saiyan under his wing and became the planets defender. And he could see now just where he got his heart from. Thrusting his hand out, filling it with red energy as his mouth guard pulled away back into his armour he just smiled "I would have liked to get to know my son's real mother. But now I know where he got his pure heart from." Flaz condenses the ball in his palm down as it crackled again, winding it up and throwing it with all the might he had left in his body "ATOM BOMBER"
Saph looked awestruck for a moment before they prepared their Lance or Terra again. Though what was going through their head was stuff like: Would that make her an aunty or a stepmom then? Since Dyph is technically Aylote's brother...? Like an unofficial stepmom? ...I'm sad that we won't get to know her. She seems nice. With that thought running through their mind they didn't hold back, waiting on everyone's que as they attacked together. "LANCE OF TERRA!"
The Inquisitor was very unsure of why he still functioned, perhaps the mortal had other plans in mind for his termination. Or perhaps he was going to do something else, like try to find where his AI was stored to kill him for good. But he just watched as the soldiers disperse into small groups down the numerous corridors to aid the other defenders. The numerous groups would find themselves, after wandering down corridors littered with broken robot bodies and the dead genetic abominations that were prevalent in the earlier rooms, they would find themselves in rooms like the AI suite, where the 'souls' of the facilities cybernetic defenders would come to enter new bodies after their platform would be destroyed, the robotics lab and fabricator, and what looked like a lounge area. A rather large one at that, likely for people to use after getting out of stasis to help them cope with just how long they were in suspended animation. The fighting there was rather room to room, since the entire area was comprised of a large atrium with lots of rooms connected to its three floors.
Thons, using his imaging system would see the corridor stretching out for more than at least 20 metres before there was another pried open door. Though after that it seems the room is just static... Whatever was on the other side must be jamming them. Jier just prepares his turrets and his arm mounted blade as they press forward to the door.
Within, they would be able to see the pod in the centre of a large spherical platform, lots of displays with lifesign readouts and alien characters lining them. Unlike the other pods this one appeared to be a large tank of green fluid with someone in the centre in the fetal position... From the looks of it they were very much alive... But they have to be millenias old to not be in stasis like the rest. Who could just stay like that for so long?
Back at the beach Pearle remains with Iris for a time, stroking her hair, before finally deciding to pick her up and carry her to their ship. There she takes Iris to her quarters and just stays by her side to await her waking up. There's...really not much more for me to do with this at the moment :P
Kali seeing that her grandma was giving her life away to protect them was quite sad that they had to finish off Demigra like this, but she'll have to respect her grandma's wishes as she began charging up her ki attack.
"Super Karko Blast!" Kali said as she fired her ki attack towards Demigra.
Future Saph just like Kid Saph was wondering the same thing too, but they didn't focus on it too much and saw respect for Kohlra as they fired their ki attack.
"Full Force Emeralde Kamehameha!" Future Saph shouted.
The Aylote side of Aylokin hesitated he was only a baby when his mother died fighting against Okora and only saw pictures of her. In this moment the fusion looked at Kohlra with her looking at them her eyes telling her fused son.
Everything will be fine my son...
Aylokin soon fired his ki attack towards Demigra.
"Saiyan Spirit Blast!" The fusion shouted as their ki attack merged with the others.
With the combine forces of each of their ki attack both Demigra and Kohlra were hit by the big attack.
"I-mpossible!!!!" Demigra shouted as he was vaporized by the combined ki attacks with Kohlra also getting vaporized with a smile on her face.
Finally Demigra was gone and the Demon Realm shall remain locked away in this timeline.
OOC: And that's fine, just means that there can be some personal development while the sisters recover. Or we can just skip to when everything is settled down and fill in the gap in time.
In terms of personal development, these sisters had that a long time ago in the backstory I'm still fleshing out behind the scenes. Ultimately I only have cliff notes and vague ideas for it though cause I haven't actually sat down to think/type it out. Interpersonal development with Jacob, however, has growing to do.
Very true, Jacob still has a long way to go with this. Especially with his new ability. Though that he can develop in his own time, he still needs to get his normal powers down pat
The Chaos Realm
Tucked away beyond the world, in the realm of Chaos where the being by the same name tinkered away with their endless experimentation and planning, the Tyrant prince watches the fated rematch between a man and a monster. Watching their back and forth fighting as the monster's energy seemed to scale more and more, even gaining his godling form before the man that would be his saving grace unlocks a power lost to the world. William watched from a rocky landscape, the very same one he and Duncan had fight in after he taught the corrupted knight his lesson. "A Mentat hmm? Mantra certainly seem like a rather overwhelming power to wield... Something that can directly interfere with magic. Capable of creating specialised techniques on the fly with frightening efficiency and creating clones... Aspects? Whatever they are they are indistinguishable to real living things... Truly a power that emulates true godhood."
Chaos peers over the Prince's shoulder and into the green hues orb that let them watch everything that was happening in the rematch "My my, Salem's pet project is getting the snot beaten out of him." William just looked back over his shoulder to Chaos after they managed to sneak up on him to comment. "That forgotten annoyance is the Forgotten god's pet project? How?"
Under the hood, William could make out a faint smile before it settles down on the rock beside him with a tail to weave. "Weell, you may not want to hear this. Buuuuut, Salem wants to harness the power hidden in Duncan's bloodline. Their family dates back to the original rulers of Zocom. Or should I say Ruler. He was hoping, if he could have a modified Forgotten possess duncan and take over his body, he could have direct access to the truly OLD magic that lays within. Try to access something that not even he can have access to. A magic that the gods themselves are quite wary about given that it made Zocom a 'No afterlife zone'. Thanks to the ancient power that dwelled their 6000ish years ago the entire continent, when it was still whole and now have 4/5th of the nation swallowed by the oceans, not a demon, angel or god could set foot on Zocom without asking the King."
William's face while listening to this just scrunches up, almost looking in disdain as he remembers the legends well. "Oh yes... The legend of the Crossed King and his crystal throne linked to some legendary place known as 'The Grave'... So they aren't just stories then?" Chaos shook their head as they smirked to the Prince "Afraid not. While your family is lawfully right to rule since they have taken care of Zocom for so long after the 'Great cataclysm' that sunk most of Zocom into the ocean, Duncan's family is related to the original ruler. They possessed great powers...In their bloodline there exists a magic capable of banishing, destroying and temporarily severing divine power. Perhaps even powers that alter reality itself. Though such powers haven't been seen since the Crossed King's direct sons. Respectively, the eldest son could control, create and manipulate pathways into other realms and dimensions without the need for sigils or permission, even being able to erase pathways so they fall into the expanse outside of reality if he was being pursued, even being able to separate himself from reality to reside in two different planes at once to render himself immune to all forms of damage and aging. A rather trivial power when comparing him to a powerful planeswalker, but still immeasurable when comparing him to a normal mage. And the youngest son could manipulate heat to rather immeasurable degrees... Controlling it to the point of being able to manipulate the flow of time by controlling the heat given off by the creation of the universe. An absolutely terrifying power in compared to his brother and father. But, there are no mention to either of them after or even during the event you people call 'The Great Cataclysm', in any known record or book written on Zocom."
William looked incredibly sceptical about all of this, especially since these powers sounded outright outlandish and impossible "The power to control time through manipulating the heat of the universe and the power control his position in reality? These sound like idealistic powers from a fairytale. They can't exist..."
Chaos just casually shrugs as they are now viewing the Moon beast bride part of the fight. "It doesn't matter, it was just under 6000 years ago. They'd be long dead now. And even if they were still alive I would know, you don't have powers like that and fly under the radar. At best, Zoconian's have a lifespan of 200 to 2000 years if they are like you and absorb their second soul, becoming true Terrazoconian. Though none of your people are aware of that little fact. I only got to know that after some... Experimentation with you and another I have around here." William raises an eyebrow as he does remember the man it mentioned "Oh, you mean that reborn Templar you have training up in the tundra hellscape?" Chaos nods all to happily as he gestures to the viewing orb "Ohho yes~ A nice trail I'm preparing for the Mentat there. Though it looks like I'll have to alter him more now given that he has abilities of actual divinity. I need the trail to be compelling and challenging, we can't the human just making clones and walking off, thus learning nothing in the fight."
William just stares to his patron out of the corner of his eye "You have such a weird hobby... Reviving dead heroes and villains to fight their nemesis's again." As Chaos just rolls their eyes they are now up to the part in the fight where Vengeance starts to fuel his suicidal last chance. William had come far from the civil war, he had gained a new self respect for himself and pride in his race. In the past he would have seen such a petty desire for revenge as justified. But now, in seeing that he was defiling such strong Zoconian genes and threatened to blow it, his nation and his people to dust all for the sake of revenge just angered him beyond belief. His hands clench heavily to the point of blood seeping through his fingers. He could care less about the templars of the rest of the sector however, as long as his people survived "That vile spineless creature... I'll kill him myself" He say going to stand before Chaos takes hold of his arm, the pair of them witnessing Heimrich reveal his last trump card and Vengeance falling to his knees. Chaos's golden eyes were filled with such glee in seeing such power "He was never in any danger whatsoever... The real Heimrich was beyond all attacks ever since he achieved that form... Oh this is truly is absolute godly might handled by a human mind. It's extraordinary, I bet even the gods themselves would fear fighting Heimrich at this stage."
William however just watched in disgust as Vengeance bent his head down in defeat, with a smile on his face. He just clenched his teeth more as he grunted and murmured under his breath "Such an annoying creature... When it's master brings it back... I'm going to murder it for good." He says as Chaos looked up to William for a moment as they started to hatch a rather delicious plan. "Very well...~" They say before looking back to the orb, to witness the fate of the creature and the devoured soul of Duncan.
Once the dust settled and the fighting was undeniably over, Flaz fell to one knee as he powered down. Taking deep breaths as he had no more power to give, Saph quickly moved over to him to lend him a hand standing, not their fusion would last too much longer with how much power they used. "We did it.... We actually beat the demon realm!" The fusion said as they smiled ear to ear.
With Demigra defeated Future Saph's fusion time ran out due to the amount of power their SSJ4G transformation drained. With the two of them now unfused Future Sabi couldn't help, but form a smile on her face as she looked up at the sky.
"We did it mom... We beat Demigra and his minions this timeline's future is now secured." Future Sabi said.
Aylokin's fusion time also ran out with Aylote going down on one knee almost speechless that his mother gave her life away. Erkin seeing his friend in this state walks over to him to pat him on the back.
"You do understand why your mother did what she....Right?" Erkin asked.
"Yes, I understand I just wish I got to talk to her once again." Aylote said.
"I'm sure your mother felt the same way Aylote, but even then she saw the danger Demigra posed to Earth and the entire universe." Erkin said.
"And I'm going to be honest with you, no other Saiyan parent back on Planet Vegeta would this kinda of thing. She was a pure hearted Saiyan much like Bardock when he fought Frieza."
I have a terrible habit of transfering our nations into other games' designs. Right now I'm working on turning our nations into Total War factions.
While this won't really be too usefull (for now) it's a good way to see how certain people stack up against each other in skills and niches. Once I get basic troops out and some other factions I'll share them, since they're on google sheets. Or I might sooner for feedback, I dunno. Really it's an attempt to get my creative juices rolling again.
Kinda strange that Super Saiyan Blue drains your ki in Xenoverse 2. You would think it wouldn't with the whole ki control thing.
Well, they needed to find some way to make it fair. Can't have it drain stamina, no one uses a stamina based moveset. So its easier to have it like Xenoverse 1 super saiyan, where it drained ki overtime. Basically everyone runs a ki recovery move and a Z-soul that has some kind of auto ki recovery or at least super armour. From my experiences anyways
Well I get that the Devs have to put a limit on it since SSB is pretty OP from my view playing as the transformation. Though I might just have to look for the right Z-Soul or just unlock Jiren's meditation move since I heard that helps.
I'm a human, so.... XD
I want my 4 minutes and 30 seconds of my life back Papa
What you really want is this sacred ointment.

I'll have to do 2 week timeskip for John soon. Likely around the same time of the rematch where he nopes out of the mess he can sense over there and spring it for Arcion before he ends up with more baggage completely unaware that my daughter is in f*ckin hell of all places
With that timeframe we're past his level up at Old Life and into the stage where he and Piper are texting back and forth, and me no longer having that edgy phase and needless eye I gave myself for some reason. Though I am smelling Vacation part 3 on the horizon
