Claibornia, officially the Exiled Kingdom of Claibornia, is a nation located in North America, spanning from Louisiana to British Columbia. It borders the Kingdom of America to the East, the Central American Republic to the South, and the Tribal Federation of Canada to the north. It also holds colonies in the Caribbean and on the West African coast. Claibornia, being a predominately French nation, is a part of the Francophone International Alliance, as well as being the founder of NPTO. The official languages are, in order of use, French, Latin, Aurelian, and English. Latin is commonly used as the lingua Franca, and English is also widely taught as a second language.
Claibornia's official state religion is Gaian Catholicism, which is followed by 74% of the population, with a significant minority of Pinevillian Baptists. Claibornia is a free, capitalist economy and has a GDP of over 20.2 trillion Claibornian Francs. Private enterprise dominates the economy. Claibornia has a sizeable welfare system, but the population outside of welfare programs provides the most. The Pinevillian military is made of of 105 million personnel, with highly advanced equipment.
Unique to Claibornia is its strange, antique model. While the military remains highly advanced, most of the population lives like it's the 1940's. But not in the poverty sense, all Claibornians are quite wealthy. No, Claibornia lives in an enternal state of society reminiscent of 1940's New York: endless parties, old clothing, basically everything you would see in a wealthy country in that time period. Because of Claibornia's society and richness, it has become a tax haven, an eternally neutral and capitalist nation that acts as a tourist hotspot.

Etymology
The name "Pinevilla" did not come from the land that was settled by the Pinevillian French, rather their homeland in Normandy, which was heavily populated by pine trees. Germanistan is straightforward: Germany, but stan. Evanereich was named for Kaiser Evan the Terror when he took power, while reich referred to the fact that Evan planned to turn the nation into the 4th reich, ruled by his backwards totalitarian ideals. Claibornia was named for the native Clzkbrn people, but the name was changed to fit the French language.

August 14, 1968: In the City of Quetta, the local German majority in the region gains its independence form the British as the German Republic of Germanistan, establishing its capital in Quetta, renamed to Zunich.
June 19, 1971: Kuwait gains independence from the British empire.
June 21, 1971: The French majority in Kuwait take over, forming the Grand Republic of Pinevilla.
January 1, 1973: New Year's Invasion; Pakistan attempts to take Germanistan
February 16, 1973: Iranian involvement in Germano-Pakistani War, Iran decides to invade Germanistan

February 14, 1977: Iraq is invaded by the vengeful Iranians, seeking to retake Khuzestan. Saddam is taked aback and rushes troops to defend his border.
February 20, 1977: Pinevilla and Germanistan begin to advance in Iraq towards Basra to cut off Iraq from the world.
February 21, 1977: Pinevillian forces lay siege to Basra.
February 22, 1977: The New United Common-Lands invade to assist their Pinevillian and Germanic allies, to the detriment of Saddam.
February 28, 1977: Basra falls. Saddam retreats to his bunker in Baghdad. He will never be seen by the public again.
February-June, 1977: Iraqi forces fail on all fronts, the Iraqi government decides to ask Saddam for surrender. Saddam is found in a terrible state, unable to give a clear answer.
June 29, 1977: Iraq surrenders without Saddam's approval. In the peace deal, Pinevilla takes Basra and the rest of Iraq's coast, as well as occupying the Euphrates River to maintain free trade through Iraq. Iran takes back Khuzestan, occupying the Tigris River for the same reason as Pinevilla at the Euphrates. NUCL occupies Baghdad for a short period of time.
1977-2008: The years of peace, no conflict involving the nations happens, economic advancements begin to be made as the two nations move closer together.
