New American Dictatorship wrote:I mean, even during the time of Skyrim the Aldmeri Dominion grip is already slipping, especially in Hammerfell. Given time, the Empire would probably be able to push them out completely. That's why the AD wanted the civil war to continue, it prevented the Empire from rebuilding/consolidating its power

Maybe, but I doubt it. The Thalmor are extremely powerful I mean you saw what they did to the blades. Plus, there is no mages guild and no fighters guilds and cyrodiil has already been heavily destroyed (judging by Ciceros journals)

Because no genetic reaction and because you aren't the dragonborn, you can't light the dragon fires.

The dragonborn could.

New American Dictatorship wrote:1.) Not as far as I'm aware, no
2.) Even if you did then they'd have to add Cyrodil
3.) Ever play the dark brotherhood quest to completion?
I don't have the dlc either, playing singleplayer is fairly lackluster and the quests aren't amazing to be honest. My character is a short little bosmer with sun powers (he's a farmer), so that's worth it

I think it's totally possible. If Saint Alessia can, than so can I!

Well, without the amulet of kings ya can't really do that anyways

And guess what? The Blades come back. The Dragonborn is found and helps to end a war they needed to continue. Cicero's journals were mostly about the sanctuaries iirc, not necessarily the city. There's explicit mentions of how things are starting to turn against the Dominion throughout the game, their dominance is by no means permanent and clearly not there to stay.

Martin partially did. As long as you have the dragon blood you can partially do it but the amulet completes it.

TSP Olympics wrote:Well as of right now all you would need to do is tell me you want to sign up under the forum. Then (most likely tomorrow) I will create another forum where you post your Olympic athletes, the sports they play, and roleplay. Does it have to be all forty sports or just minimum ten? (I apologise if I get the minimum wrong)

Yeah you are right. I wonder if ES6 wil determine what happens

ok community poll: in my book, Im debating a new ending to it, or maybe a future book, because of fallout being so big now, to cash in on reader retention, should I end the book, or have another one pick up in, a post nuclear world. tell me your thoughts.

It'll be multiplayer and it'll look like it's from 2015 and be full of micro transactions! Woo!

New American Dictatorship wrote:My problem is that a lot of the storylines are anticlimactic. The civil war storyline was pretty boring to be honest, the main quest was fine and had some really cool set pieces, the thieves guild is amazing, and the dark brotherhood is cool during the main part, but I think going for the bonuses made it a lot less boring. A guard from solitude did try to arrest me on the [spoiler]'s ship, so that was funny at least.

The current que is Dawngaurd + Companions concurrently, Solstheim, and then maybe I'll do the Mage's college and bard's college (although I could save those for a new save)

Don't do the mages I remember deep regret because it's...idk.
However, the second most notable character is close, Septimus. Cicero and Septimus remind me of some people I know irl.
Idk if you played through yet but he makes you go to...Agartha pretty much. And it's huge it's like 1/4th the map.

New American Dictatorship wrote:I get that, but it forces you to make hard choices. You're the Dragonborn, at some point your actions should have consequences.
I might play oblivion at some point, I should probably play more ESO too

Dude Oblivion you have to play.
Go to the city of Braavil in Oblivion.
It's amazing what Tom Howard put in the game.

I was very excited for ES6 when I first heard that it was a thing, after playing through more of Skyrim myself rather than seeing my sister play it, I'm a little less excited but still optimistic. The big area of skepticism is that it's Bethesda, and I know they've stumbled a lot recently.
If I had to guess, ES6 might be set in the immediate or near aftermath of that conflict

Probably the aftermath. I heard the game won't release until sometime In 2026 or 2027 which is just another example on how much Bethesda has stumbled

I think Bethesda is dying. Star Field kinda meh.

As someone who wants to be an author myself, don't set it up for a sequel if you think that will take away from it. The best-of-both-worlds choice here would be leaving room for a continuation to the story, but having it still end in a complete and satisfying way

I changed the flag, slightly.

Sempi Archipelago changes flag

The Sempi Archipelago changed it's flag today, changing the blue to the pre-2020 French blue to now also represent the Sempi Archipelago's history as a colony of France. The original meanings of the blue still are represented.
One day later, The Sempi Archipelago changed it's orange on the flag. Original meanings still represented, unknown reason why changed.

I haven't gotten the chance to play all that many of their games, but I want to play some of the older, more beloved ones. Hopefully if Microsoft does actually decide to leave the console business they'll try to compete with Sony in the quality of their games rather than releasing trash and wasting IPs.

well uhh the end of the book as of now ends up in a world where nuclear weapons never progress past Hiroshima due to some unfortunate plane crash's, orchestrated by both sides, and the slow down of civil technology due to the suicide due to the death of his wife in a car crash. the microchip is still made, but by a German scientist working in London. and due to all of this, the world is a lot more open about the use of nuclear weapons, and war is seen as less painful then it is today.

So they're still using atomic bombs, and never got to the hydrogen type?

New American Dictatorship wrote:So they're still using atomic bombs, and never got to the hydrogen type?

yeah, so there is no great fear of global annihilation from just a few bombs, so people fell more free to go do what they want, because after all they would have to hit every city in the nation with a bomb to have a effect, yeah, the NKVD and CIA mix it up In a embassy, and they both end up with vendettas that are taken out randomly without government orders, and cause the hydrogen bomb to never be made, while jack kilby kills himself due to a car crash, in which a defecting KGB agent is hit in his car, by a semi truck, and his wife died in this incident.

Been re-reading Brave New World (again).
Every time I agree more and more with the position of Mustapha Mond. I don't think it was written with prior intent of being regarded as dystopian, especially since John at the end IS provided a choice of leaving to embrace freedom (and suffering which comes with it).
