Prescott Real Estate to build new tower in New York's Billionaire Row
Prescott Real Estate CEO and owner, James Prescott, announced today that he has been given building permits to build another new tower tower in New York's famous Billionaire Row and that it will have a commanding view of Central Park. The tower, called Central Park Tower due to its location, would be a megatall tower, topping out at 1,522 , beating out Chicago Willis Tower. Other projects being done by Prescott Real Estate include such projects as 9 DeKalb Avenue, topping out at over 1,000 feet, 111 West 57th Street, which will top out at 1400 feet and in a nod to New York's art deco past, the facade will be clad in terra cotta and wrapped in ribbons of bronze. Over at 53 West 53rd Street is another 1,000 footer but besides being a residential area, it will be expansion of the Museum of Modern Art next door. Prescott Real Estate, which is one of the more well known designers and construction companies in the Union is building at least ten new towers around NYC, with one in Grand Central, the One Vanderbilt Building, which will exceed the height of the nearby Chrysler Building, The Spiral Tower, being built near the Hudson Yards project, Tribeca Tower being built at 111 Murray Street, a 88 story luxury residence at 125 Greenwich Street and 2 World Trade Center, which will be unique with it being an ascending set of boxes set slightly off-center and will feature sky gardens among other amenities. All projects, which Mr. Prescott has reported cost in the billions of dollars (over 200 Billion) will revamp the city's skyline and make it the envy of the world and also highlight the clean nature of the city due to new building techniques and green technology. As all the buildings at at varying stages of work, several of the latter buildings will be completed within 4 years or so, with the former ones being completed within 5 years or more. International investors are more than welcome to rent out spaces and lots in the new towers as New York gears up to become an even greater player in the business world.

Zuo Zizhangba has held a press conference today in which he clearly outlined that any actions undertaken by The great joseon to antagonize 
Imperial Eagle were taken unilaterally. The Axis has no intentions of violating or threatening its agreements as outlined in the Kure Accords and PMTP (Pact of Mutual Trade Protection).
The Cantonese Director of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Duan Yazhu, joined the conference via video link, and urged the Koreans to pursue a path to normalized relations with the Americans.
Should the situation continue to escalate, Director Zizhangba has iterated clearly that he intend to permit America to 'temporarily protect its citizens where Canton cannot'.
In a large change of subject, the Director then turned his attention to the Qiandan question, and stated the Korean Empire has his entire support in maintaining their territorial sovereignty against Qiandan aggression.

Premier Makes Speech Before Departing to Ball in Vashnal!
In a speech made today, Premier Kang denounced the Korean seizure of American diplomats and called it a shocking injustice, further stating that Korea was the main instigator of recently rising tensions in Asia. He then officially addressed the issue of the Qiandan fighter shot down over Korea, stating that there were no aggressive intentions, and any statement otherwise was Korean propaganda, also firmly denying any American involvement in recent events as further propaganda. He then authorized the Telecommunications Bureau to release the in-flight comms recordings to prove that the reason for the breach of Korean airspace was purely accidental and destruction of the fighter was completely unjustified. He then ended the speech by calling for a tripartite conference between representatives of The great joseon, Imperial Eagle, and Qianda over the issue of the captives from both nations currently held by Korea. Kang expressed his belief that this would expedite the process and quickly solve the crisis, also calling for America to stand in solidarity with Qianda against aggression from Korea, and criticized 
Southwest China for not attempting to restrain their wayward ally, calling them and the Axis of Canton as a whole a barrier to peace and a construct of aggression in the region. Kang concluded the speech by inviting representatives from the nations of Hai jin lao, Sotriuvania, Nationalist asian states, and (secretly) Imperial Eagle to a conference which will be held in Beijing in the very near future on the topic of national relations, international relations, and possible cooperation between the aforementioned nations for the benefit of all citizens in these nations.
Conclusion of Port Moresby Conference
The Qiandan government is pleased to announce the fruits of the socialist conference in Port Moresby, where representatives from Qianda, Hai jin lao, and Furstia broke ground and agreed on the vast majority of socialist policies between their respective nations, and discussed the possible founding of another Comintern dedicated to economic and possibly political cooperation between socialist and communist nations. Qianda and Papua also made preliminary agreements involving confirmation of future Qiandan investment in Papua, surely coming before even more economic cooperation between these two nations. The DoD has agreed to construct a GR-15 OTH (Over The Horizon) radar array in southwest Magaly
At a cost of $35mn, this will give the Magalan government unprecedented capabilities in monitoring airspace out to 4,800km from the array.
Construction will begin almost immediately, and completion is expected in six-months time. As Magaly is a member of the Axis of Canton, the Directory of Defense has decided to absorb half the costs of the equipment, thus leaving the Magalan government to foot the remaining $17.5mn. bill.

The DoD has announced it will be expanding considerably the radar detection capabilities on Jeju Island, giving it unprecedented ability to monitor its sea and airspace.
Two GR-15 OTH radar arrays will be installed, one facing NW and the other ENE. In addition, each array will also be accompanied by a YY-2 Low Frequency Radar System, allowing stealth air and seacraft to be detected out to a range of 500km.
The total bill for these developments will be just shy of $100mn, and they are expected to be fully operational in 6-8 months.

The Government of the Socialist Republic of Furstia has decided to withdraw its diplomatic mission from Seoul, Korea (The great joseon). Our nation cannot tolerate the inconsiderate and hostile actions that the Korean Government has taken against the sovereignty of other countries.
The Ministry has notified the Korean Embassy in Puerto Deseado. All staff working at the site will have 72 hours (3 days) to leave the Socialist Republic of Furstia.

Though the Union thanks the Government of Qianda for the offer of hosting a conference, a meeting has already been planned in a neutral nation (Eraus) and the meeting will place likely in Berlin. The Union hopes that this meeting will resolve the current crisis between Korea and the Union and help to avoid any kind of conflict. Though the Koreans may see the Union as weak, we can assure the world that just like 1941, the Eagle is merely sleeping and if angered enough, it will awaken. On a lighter note, President Roosevelt has arrived in Vashnal for the ball and is now on his way to the palace (or where ever the ball is being held) and he has high hopes for a relaxing evening away from current issues.
Department of Defense Memo: Top Secret
Task Force Thor is to make it's way through the Panama Canal and head towards JOSH-A, Nome Alaska and await further orders. In the event that limited fighting breaks out with Korea, Task Force Thor is to conduct limited strikes against military targets only. This includes vessels, depots, and air bases that could be a threat to future strikes in the event of a war. Cart Blanche has been given on a limited scope given recent indictations from Canton but under no circumstances is civilan vessels to be targeted. When possible, avoid Cantonese flagged vessels so as to prevent a wider conflict. Possible reinforcements in the form of the soon to be completed Liberty Class may be sent in the coming weeks. Until then, await further orders.
Vashnallian Ball
The Kaiser himself decided to attend, of course it shocked many within his staff as well as the Foreign Minister, who was originally set to attend by himself instead now Alec Baum would attend alongside the Kaiser himself.
Friedrich kept to himself as the Vashnallian spoke, of course he'd had issues with the nation but the new 'Emperor' as he called himself had shown he'd try to smooth it over. However the Erayii people weren't known for being able to easily forgive, at least not without ensuring those who crossed them paid dearly.
When the Emperor spoke of the olden days, it reminded the Kaiser of what the Erayii tribesmen would have done if they were in the same situation. Of course while it did put a smile on his face, the Kaiser had slowly become a kinder man with age, and even then he'd still have been considered cruel by nearly all in this room.
