OK, Israelite's your thoughts on the 11 day war with Hamas.

Flor-Fina wrote:OK, Israelite's your thoughts on the 11 day war with Hamas.

What else is new? LOL. Another round in a never-ending cycle of murderous-rage, hate and antisemitism ended with the a$$holes' defeat.
OK, some more thoughts:
1. From the military perspective, this one was clearly better-managed than previous rounds. Hamas and PIJ haven't succeeded in any of their planned "surprises." Drones, automated submarines, attack tunnels - all were destroyed before launch. Furthermore, their strategic assets (namely, their underground facilities and rockets R&D factories) - were destroyed. The heads of their operational class were eliminated. All - with painful but tolerable price on our side.
The reasons are three: 1. Perfect intelligence. 2. IDF's current chief of staff is a military genius: he completely changed the paradigm: in previous rounds, we started low and raised the levels of attack as the operation continued. This time, we started high and maintained the level throughout the round. 3. Of course, Iron Dome proved successful against thousands of rockets, sometimes hundreds at once.
2. These points are of strategic importance, since it sends a clear message to Hezbollah: your plans for the next round from the north worth absolutely nothing, so you better stay quiet.
3. While we could have used some more 3-4 days, 10-15 day rounds are more or less best for us.
4. Israel had unprecedented legitimacy during this round. Israel's flag was flown over official places in Vienna, Berlin, London, Prague, the Balkans, and more. (a bit disappointed that the US haven't joined, but I guess the veto at the UN security council worths more...:) so thank you President Biden for that.)
5. It's just a matter of time until the next round. As long as Hamas rules Gaza, they will continue their attempts to kill us all - and continue to fail. That's the reality, that's the core of the Palestinian tragedy.

Now for the most important part:
6. It is damn time that we start some kind of a diplomatic process with the Palestinians. Not Hamas, not PIJ, not Gaza (until they throw out Hamas) - but the PA. But first, there must be elections in the PA, so we know if there's a chance (if Abu Mazen wins) or not (if Hamas wins). In the meanwhile, unfortunately, Abu Mazen has no legitimacy to sign any whatsoever peace deal with Israel. In 2006 He was voted for for 5 years, and by force stays president for 15 years. There's no way we can sign anything with this man.

For all of those Home at Israel, what has the past two weeks been like for you all? I hope that everyone is well.

This is nothing but a formality at this point, but I've removed the old references in my nation to me being a foreign ambassador. I have been a resident of this region for about a decade now (maybe more than a decade? I've lost track), and worked to maintain its independence in the past, going so far as to be the executive delegate for a short period. It was little more than a running joke to pretend to still be a diplomatic observer during all that time.

My loyalty is to Israel.

I loved Bibi's work as PM but I know look forward to Bennet's leadership in Israel. I am sure he is a great candidate.

Israel thanks you IA! You've been a loyal and trusting part of this region. You are to be commended for your honorable time here.

I think a good question is, will this coalition hold? Bibi is committed for it to fail. There will be some more uneasiness in store in Israel.

Okay everyone - I've set a banner for the region. Let me know what you think.

Due to the game's sizing constraints, it was a bit difficult to get decent quality and the correct fit. This was about the best I could do.

Thank you to Israel Ambassador, for our new banner for the region! A terrific choice, to have Jerusalem as our banner. Much appreciated and well done IA!

Beautiful Jerusalem.

I have voted against this.
There can be only one IA.

True, you are the real and only IA to us! Lol.

Had another dream involving the members of NS Israel the other night.
This time H wasn't in it at all as far as I can remember. Instead SDL and FF were the main characters.
The premise was that apparently there was a zombie apocalypse and the IDF decided to start a multinational team to fight the zombies. I, of course, was the first non-Israeli to sign up. SDL and FF were apparently both NCOs in their late 20s and for some reason weren't too happy about the decision to recruit foreign team members.
We ambushed a group of fast-moving zombies in a warehouse, all made it out alive, and then I woke up.
Not sure what sort of hardware we were using, but I think it was a mix of German and Israeli firearms. We wore olive drab uniforms and resembled a team from that old show Stargate SG-1.

IA, I think I know why your having zombie apocalypse dreams. Before retiring for the night, discontinue your habit of eating strong cheese. Maybe switch to a milder one, such as cream cheese. Sweet dreams.

You know, I did recently switch to strawberry-flavored cream cheese. I suppose the flavoring is too strong for me though, time to go back to plain cream cheese.

LOL, IA. You lost me at

Thanks, though.

But don't you love that feeling of waking up from these kind of dreams to find that you live in THIS world? Maybe it says something about my twisted mind, but I do love that feeling of catharsis. I'm pretty far (to say the least) from Catholicism (no offense!), but if there's something I believe they somewhat got right - it's the notion of the purgatory. I can only imagine that this feeling of catharsis is a small fraction of the feeling after one's soul has been purged of its sins and returns to G-d's grace.

Apologies to all who may have been offended by that. (I guess I have more or less offended every possible one LOL. Sorry)

I thought you guys might get a kick out of that.. :P

I'm not offended at least, and I don't think talking about one's own thoughts and beliefs while just using a certain set as a benchmark would be offensive to most.
But, that's just me, and to be fair - I'm not a Roman Catholic (even though I have family who are).

What you have succeeded in doing, however, is creating an image in my head of you as this madman who does everything he can to mess up his sleep and induce nightmares, just so that he can experience the feeling of waking up from them. LOL.

Hello there!

I know I don’t talk much, if ever actually, but I really wanted to say how much I appreciate the very intelligent, yet also interestingly strange banter from Israel Ambassador, Sea Dolphin Lovers, & Flor-Fina. I have almost never seen conversation between, and from, three very intelligent and thoughtful individuals on my time here in the game since 2016. I’m used to terrible grammar and barely legible English, so this was and is a great pleasure to read.

Also, I started out here at first as simply as a fitting place to put my puppet, but ever since the founder left us and we locked down, I now see this puppet as both a physical representation of my presence in this region, but also as an important and necessary presence to help defend Israel at all costs if we were ever invaded. My WA is currently located with Yodle, but if this place were to be invaded, know that I would drop my two-year delegacy streak to keep this place defended.

I’ll try to stop by and chat more often and actually use this nation as something more than just a card farm. This is such a unique and rare community, that I’m glad to defend it if needed and keep an active presence within.

Thank you Judaism, for your kind words and outward expression of loyalty. I'm looking forward to you joining the regional banter and hearing your insights.

There really is nowhere like Israel, is there? :)

Shanah Tova (a happy Hebrew year) to all here.
