Domino domination

There's a fairly usable mobile version.

However, there is a relatively comprehensive app for ProBoards. Highly recommended.

Also, welcome everyone! Holy crap.

I know, who would have thought I could do any recruiting?

Is the ProBoards app free? I thought I checked it out a while ago and it was $10, but I'm quite possibly wrong about that.

Welcome back to the RIA, Tierra de madre!

How i make my country better

Joining the World Assembly might be a good start. It gives you a couple more ways to interact with other nations.

You might also want set your issues to "Twice per day" in your settings page. It's not a lot, but each issue will change something about your country.

Liking the miniscule-to-medium upgrade.

***First Draft of the New RIA Constitution Posted***
*******************************************

The formation of our regional government has taken a huge step forward. A proposal constitution has been drafted and posted to the forum. It can be found at this address:

renegadeislands.proboards.com/post/64883

I highly recommend that everybody become involved in the conversation. This is the best chance anybody will have to influence the laws that will govern our region.

The proposal draft will be available for viewing and discussion for 3 days, with the debate closing on Friday, October 13 at 11:59 PM EST. An extension may be considered if there is still a considerable amount of debate over the content of the constitution.

After the debate period has ended, the constitution will officially be put to a vote. I will send a mass telegram of the proposal to everybody, so you will all get an opportunity to vote.

The voting period will be 5 days, and opens once I send the proposal telegram.

Election cycles will begin immediately following the ratification of the constitution. According to the current proposal, elected positions are as follows:

World Assembly Delegate - Responsible for representing our region to the World Assembly. Appoints the Officer of Foreign Affairs and helps oversee foreign relations.
- 6 month term

Internal Affairs - Responsible for areas such as education and entertainment, with the goals of retaining new recruits and maintaining high levels of activity on both this Regional Message Board and the forums. Works closely with Immigration Officer.
-6 month term

Senators - 3 elected officials that serve as representatives to the citizens in the Grand Council. Their primary duties include discussing and voting on regional procedures. Secondary duties will be introduced as the region grows.
- 3 month terms

*******************************************

The best way to be a part of this is to join the forums!. It will be a requirement for citizenship (along with World Assembly membership), and citizenship will be a requirement to taking any of these positions.

I'm looking forward to working with all of you to build our region!

I've made a large section of the forum publicly open for viewing. Previously, you could only view our welcome center. This didn't show much of what we were about. It also added steps to be able to view our constitution.

You can now follow the link in the Factbook Entry to go straight to the proposed constitution. You can also preview a lot of forum, like the Libary and the Lounge to learn about the history and culture of the region.

**CONSTITUTION RATIFICATION VOTE NOW OPEN**
*****************************************

You can vote on the constitution by registering on the forum, or by sending a telegram to Shizensky.

Voting ends on September 18th, at 11:59 PM, EST

Welcome to the RIA, Modern antartica and The greased up deaf guy!

Has anyone ever thought of making a Facebook/Twitter page for a region.
We could be the first!

I've seen them used for various purposes. If someone wanted to get one going that might not be a bad idea.

I think we might find a problem with getting people to follow us though. Interacting with social media pages puts a lot of personal information out there that most NS players probably aren't willing to part with.

Didnt think of that. I was just bored and thinking..
