Ah, I was once staunchly anti-WA myself. It certainly has it's benefits, depending on the region and their set up, but whatever works, region to region I suppose.

Alternatively, after I reported you on suspicion of WA multying, NationStates moderators likely told you to resign one of your WA nations from the WA as is standard practice for multying when it's a first time offense.

I think that's the more plausible explanation, don't you?

When and if you have a WA nation to disclose to me by telegram, you can rejoin the region -- and not a moment sooner.

I don't like the WA, mostly because its function is to legislate the world and I dislike legislation. Also too much stuff is proposed and passed. Its whole structure is also fundamentally broken, as a majority can essentially oppress a minority. What's that, 40% of the vote was against? Oh well, screw that 40% of the WORLD.

In addition, it works on a massively influential snowball vote. Intelligent voters aside, the large majority of voters base their vote off of whatever vote is most popular. As such, if a bunch of people vote in favor of a proposal as soon as it enters referendum, then that would likely result in that proposal having a majority in favor over time.

Then, there’s also the problem of botting and puppeting. I’m sure that there are some people who bot tons of puppets into the WA with separate emails.

It’s just a vulnerable system overall and I don’t believe that it serves its purpose well.

It could use an overhaul, vote wise. I like it more for its applications outside of voting, in terms of regional security.

How about simply don't show vote distribution untill after voting and keep showing delagate vote. If that isn't working to stop the skew then remove delagate vote as well.
Happy to trade endorsements since we are in a new reigion.

That would probably work in eliminating that problem, but it could come with mixed results. One key thing to consider is that most of the time, the majority is right, so letting voters see what the current vote is can give them a sense of direction. The problem comes when they take that majority as an answer to every proposal and don’t use it correctly - as a base opinion to consider while reading the full proposal or looking at discussion threads.

It’s really just an overall lack of education in voters that makes the WA such a stupid system. The simplest way to solve that would be by having only some nations vote, in the form of a sort of council. However, that’s never really gonna happen.
