To be honest, thing like this would happen from time to time anyway, just because there are always unknowledgeable people out there. But embassy policy would be nice, I guess. Sometimes I prefer to use my own judgment, there's no one-size fits all.

On an unrelated note, I'd like to urge citizens not to vote for Girada. Along with Corobia, he had been ejected from the WA for rule violations, which leads us to believe he may have had multiple WA nations, and multiple citizenships, thus essentially committing voting fraud. His case is currently on trial right now, and there is very strong evidence against him.

While I think it is important to point out the situation, I think it’s equally as important to let all of the facts come out so that voters can arrive at their own conclusion. I would urge Girada and Corobia to comply with the orders from The Supreme Court, as to resolve this issue as soon as possible. That way the voters can have the facts about what happened as soon as possible. Nobody should rush to judgement based on preliminary facts!

Agualia

Dear members of the Democratic Union.

I would like to introduce my self to this Union. My country is the Republic of Agualia and I am new to this website so I'm still finding my way around it! I understand that the Union is in the middle of an election so I don't want to disturb the various campaigns but I just want to state that I was attracted to this union for its values and democratic principles. I hope to work with all of you in the near future.

Thank You

I haven't yet seen any region in NS do something like you proposed, and I haven't seen any issues with anonymity in even the biggest regions, except in cases of people doing illegal things or leaking secret things. Criticism of the government and suggestions should be open, not hidden away.

East meranopirus, someone might feel too embarrassed or scared to ask a member of the government a question or scrutinize them. If someone feels too embarrassed or scared, they shouldn’t be prevented from asking or scrutinizing based on their thoughts. Instead, they’d do that through the ministry. As for oaths for all members of the government, I believe that there should be one.

Well how about embassy policy, we can override the policy if we get votes

That way we'll be more organized too

Ironblaster wrote:Well how about embassy policy, we can override the policy if we get votes

If we choose to pass an embassy policy in Parliament, then Parliament would be the only one able to repeal it. If it's done by the Executive, the I'm sure public opinion will be heard.

I'd like to think that wouldn't be the case, given how much we have tried to keep the government as open and transparent as possible.

Executive then

Don't worry about disturbing the election. The election is here for citizens to hold government officials accountable, ask them questions, and make suggestions. Though you should apply for citizenship so you'll be able to vote next time.

I'm glad you're interested in the GA! If you have any questions about that I'm the go-to person (since I've authored a resolution).

Ironblaster wrote:Executive then

I prefer it as a job for the Executive too. That way there is more flexibility in diplomatic outreach and in special cases.

I would really like to apply for citizenship but I don't know how, could you explain this to me. Thank You.

Agualia has been approved for citizenship. I encourage you to have a look at the Executive Staff, and possibly joining Discord. In fact, I encourage all the new citizens, including Belrusium and Volians, to look at it as well!

I'd also like to welcome the newest member of our region, Mr happiness!

And a reminder to citizens that election voting will close in just over 24 hours. Cast your vote now if you haven't done so!

Hey everyone, I've pinned a dispatch that I made a while ago for another region (and edited according to our needs), on how to use the RMB more effectively. Take a look if you can!

Tips on RMB etiquette

by East meranopirus

1. Use spoiler tags for long posts so they don't take up the entirety of someone's screen. Big announcements are fine when left in full, because presumably you wouldn't want people to miss it. For reference, posts that are 20 lines or above (including quotes and spaces) on a computer screen should definitely be spoilered, but keep in mind that many people use mobile, so you might want to spoiler shorter posts too.
Spoilers are coded like this:
Hidden text
Which will appear as this:
Hidden text

If you want a name for the spoiler, do this:
Hidden text
Which will appear as this:
Hidden text

2. Use the Quote function when replying to someone. On a computer, the button can be seen when you hover over a post; on a mobile phone, it can be found at the bottom of the post.
Some other tips on quoting posts:
 1. You can edit quotes to remove parts you're not responding to, to keep your post lengths shorter

 2. If you're responding to a post that's really long, edit it to something like "snip", and people can click on the quote's link to see what the post actually said

4. Keep conversations civil - You're allowed to criticize people, but keep it at that. There's no need to insult people, or use personal attacks.

5. Don't spam - People usually don't like it if you send multiple RMB messages in a row. Try to keep it at 1, or 2 at most. If you want to add to a previous post you can use the Edit function. The button is next to the Quote button on your own posts.

Lastly, follow the NS rules. Here's the One Stop Rules Shop, which tells you everything you can or can't say. These rules are enforced by NS moderation, and breaking them can result in official warnings, suppression of your post, or in serious cases, deletion of your nation.

A belated welcome to our newest member, Imperio lautiriano! If you have any questions about our region, feel free to ask.

Congratulations on joining the World Assembly also, I hope you'll endorse our democratically-elected Delegate Handal Ands. You can also apply for citizenship to participate more in the region.

After speaking, we’ve agreed it’s best that Kenis resign as ambassador to the ULN. On behalf of the region, I thank Kenis for his services as ambassador to the ULN. We will nonetheless continue to improve bilateral relations with them!
