Amberleaf had been secretly observing the events unfolding in Solingarch for some time. With its collectivist and egalitarian culture, it truly did not look fondly upon the local monarchist regime. There seemed to be now sparking flames in southern Solingarch, Prolekult. The Vanguardists, with their ideals of forming a communist republic, were much closer to Amberlevian values. [...] In secret contact was made with certain few individuals from the Vanguardists. A promise was made. A promise of support. A promise of shattering crowns. . .

    RP: Escalating the Class War

Two months after the murder of Nieve Lem-Ristović, the social and political landscape in Southern Solingarch had escalated to a critical point of no return. Among the most radical segments of the country’s left wing, the Vanguardists included, the prospect of revolution was more tangible than ever– a sentiment which reverberated through all of Solingarch’s lower class, the situation now appearing to even the most disenfranchised of the Federation that anything was possible. The government, all too aware of the prevailing zeitgeist that threatened to wash it away, rallied its forces to suppress dissension and restore public confidence.

Nieve’s targeting had been the first step in bringing about a new age of counterinsurgency, signaling a campaign being undertaken by police and military forces to decisively decapitate the communist movement, understanding that eliminating their figureheads was an existential matter of the state’s survival. Learning that explicit executions would only worsen mass unrest, precincts were given the greenlight to carry out a series of arrests against known Vanguardists across Mansk, Darjatt, and Kirsport, who would be held indefinitely until they could be covertly assassinated or charged as Kulkkistani agents and terrorists. Despite a number of council members and organizers facing repression, the movement’s leaders largely evaded capture for the time being by disappearing into the underground. Among them was Abram Van-Melikov, a strongly supported revolutionary who Imperial Domestic Authority intelligence suggested had inherited a key leadership position from Nieve. One of his final actions before going into hiding was meeting with representatives of various communist tendencies to propose a new theoretical approach to the struggle, making the case that any possibility of a peaceful revolution had evaporated. Delivering a speech to a motley of radicals from nearby cities, he declared that “the only truly revolutionary course remaining is to prepare for an armed uprising. The movement will adapt, or be crushed under the weight of counterrevolution; the factory-shop councils must become insurrectionary organs, with the tenant-municipal councils just as ready and willing to support rebellion. Our present conditions prove the demand for a workers state can only be fulfilled if it is built atop the shattered corpse of the imperial state!” These ideas were ultimately approved in a fiercely debated 15-9 vote, after which Abram disappeared.

This darker attitude was mirrored among the general working masses, who grew hungrier and more frustrated by the day. Unions, being granted little in the way of concessions, had begun to use all possible forms of labor organization to extend their power— cooperatives, factory councils, strike committees, boycotts, and now even in industries whose workers had previously played little part in political unrest, Green Guard workers’ militias. These irregular paramilitary units were formed all across Southern cities and were well equipped with modern Amberlevian-supplied arms and ammunition, especially the Vanguardist-aligned ones. Quickly they put themselves in the way of police efforts to crack down on socialist and communist members of their own organizations, leading to difficult standoffs. In Mansk, security concerns became paramount; snipers became permanent fixtures atop the Aydarovich family’s properties, barbed wire and riot fences were rolled out over government districts, and a curfew was imposed. At the urging of an incensed Lord-Marshal Fahim and the order of Archduke Leones Orme Lem-Aydarovich, Landsknechte forces made repeated attempts to disarm Manskan Green Guards through weapon confiscations which were not often obeyed. It was clear few would surrender them peacefully; government troops consequently raided factories, workers quarters, and the offices of leftist groups at even the slightest suggestion of guns being hidden there. This chain of expeditions strained relations with innocent workers just as much as it turned up small amounts of weapons which seemed to be replaced by the crate-load as quickly as they were taken, courtesy of the revolutionaries' secretive ant allies.

The man trusted with direct oversight of this operation was General Zinov Noulens, whose staff was so plagued with other matters of counterinsurgency and disruptions in the chain of command caused by internal auditing that overzealous second-level officials were effectively given a blank check to take their own initiatives without higher approval, contributing to the frenzied nature of the raids. The Landsknechte were also stretched thin and not often reinforced by the First Lands’ Army, which had come under the eye of the most dangerous circles in the IDA’s secret police network. Officers were subjected to heavy scrutiny and pressured to make their loyalty apparent. With orders directly from the top, military police and enigmatic anonymous men from the capital summoned the army’s leadership for interrogations while detaining those suspected of harboring unpatriotic sympathies, a process which caused troops in officership positions to shift between posts like cards in a deck while their comrades were either intensely audited or made to disappear altogether. This had the effect of locking regiments in place due to administrative confusion and gaps in the chain of command at a critical time when orders had been issued to neutralize the risk of mass troop defection by, among other measures, transferring radicalized units out of Mansk to Solingarch’s far reaches, where they would pose no threat to Federation authority. Three regiments with Vanguardist footholds were disarmed, and some personnel were on a small scale deployed elsewhere, but it was simply impossible to transfer and liquidate the number of units that high command had demanded while disruptive investigations were still ongoing.

RP: Empire Population Grant

The Empire has issued a new law giving a G$2 per year grant to any and all parents per child until the child reaches the age of 18. This effort is to promote population growth. This grant also has no upper limit for the number of children. To continue qualification, all parents must be able to maintain custody and/or guardianship of his or her children. The Empire has also declared that unwanted children may be given to orphanages and such parents would be eligible for a G$1 one-time payment.

The Distanic Confederacy

The Ivery Conference, hosted in the city of the same name, was altogether fairly productive. Discussion on the topic of a Northern Alliance and a Northern Union would have its hiccups, but overall would go fairly smoothly and easily.

The Conference would end after about a week, with delegations hosted for a second week in top-tier hotels in the city before being dismissed.

From the Conference, a draft for a proper “Northern Alliance” Charter would be made - titled the Ivery Charter as a very creative name. This charter, while not yet formalized or signed, would outline a number of terms and conditions for the Alliance at large.

A copy of the Ivery Charter would be sent to each nation which had shown up at the Ivery Conference, to be signed if agreeable or disregarded if not.

|The Northern Alliance|

With the fall of the Radiant entente and the loss of the previous trade that it allowed, The Northern alliance would reach the ears of the Prime Director quicker than most news outside of the nation due to the advantages it could provide. However the charter itself while mostly acceptable there were some areas that couldnt be accepted. Already the entirety of article 6 was looked at unfavourably as it was seen as overly centralised for what was meant to be an alliance, in addition article 4 point III alongside parts of article 3 (I, II, IV) due to the nations hesitancy for foreign military bases and the change of currency as well as the nation being ill suited for differing species due to the infrastructure being built for larger species however the open economic area and the joint military would be viewed as positives.

After a vote within the the Binterât Parliament and the populous, The confederacy would sign the majority of the charters points, becoming a founding state with some of the points were not signed either due to the nation or the parliament disagreeing with the point, Those being Article 6 and parts of Article 3. To amend these points the Florin would be kept at a fixed exchange rate of 1 yen:1.5 florin to allow for a seamless conversion of currencies and the planned construction of a city for smaller species to allow them to live within the confederacy.

The lack of advanced weaponry became the weak link between the defensive and armed neutrality. Their natural defenses reigned supreme, but their overall military capabilities faltered. Defenses against ballistic missiles and the ability to return the same long-range attacks were serious assets the Confederacy needed to protect their national security, especially against increasing chaos between great alliances which only exacerbated their dilemma. The new presidential administration with different cabinet ministers convened with the council and their generals regarding the situation. Despite the nearly one million bunker systems and stockpiles located all over the Cantons of the Swiss Confederacy, the entire military force needed to punch more above its weight, especially against larger alliances. Their intense defensive doctrines were still at play, but the Army and Air Force needed more equipment to uphold their so-called “field of bear traps” stratagem.

Long-range covered their short-range assets, while short-range assets covered their long-ranged counterparts. One of the Generals exclaimed. The Swiss air force had amassed numbers of their latest LSB-100 SCORPIO MULTI-ROLE FIGHTER JETS (BASED ON THE TYPHOON EUROFIGHTER), but lacked more advanced missile technologies to counter air and ground units. The Swiss Army produced their locally designed and locally made main battle tanks, the M190A8M (BASED ON THE LEOPARD 2A5 MBT), but they lacked sufficient preemptive deterrents using long-range missile strikes to prevent belligerents from crossing Swiss borders. Nor did the Army have capable defenses to intercept and destroy enemy ballistic missile strikes. The need for such weapons was a necessity for survival, the survival of the Confederacy, its citizens, and their way of life.

The JOINT Chief of Staff met with the new Swiss president Orlan, reviewing their meeting once more and the concerns their tacticians brought up. As the newly appointed leader of the country, these decisions shook him to his core. He'd not wanted such pursuits for violence and destruction, but the Confederacy had no choice in the matter. Considering again the deterioration between both Phoenix Blossom (Amberleaf, Baltocarpathia) (And to some extent, The Distanic Confederacy, and Rykensvik, as associates of PB) and Vesperian Union (Sodor and Seljaryssk, Nonadia, Empire of Gora, Neuerstaat, Fiercewood, and Laurentiea) against the technate, their armed neutrality would be severely tested. After these matters were taken care of, he would begin his work to increase the steady economic and social growth of his motherland. The council convened once more to ratify their new arms deal and any other possible weapons programs that might come to fruition in the coming future. The first stage was set.

Secret and highly encrypted back channels between the GCS and Honalulu (Kemonomica) were used again to contact the whole technate alliance in regards to their weapon technologies. Requests were secretly sent to Otyken technate, along with additional backchannels sent to the Republic of Brennus. These two nations were known to be one of the most influential in the creation of advanced weaponry, and with their neutral stance on the current status quo, GCS officials hoped to procure more air-to-air, air-to-ground, anti-ship, hypersonic cruise, and ballistic missiles from the Brennians.

The Minister of Defence and the General Commander of the Swiss army convened together to commence the maintenance, storage, and production of old and new small arms. This was another of the Swiss’ plans to reinforce and prepare themselves for potential conflicts between the three major alliances. Stockpiles of weapons and ammunition needed to be maintained and replenished with both advanced battle rifles while having old, yet reliable rifles, from the 19th century and beyond, as backups.

The entire small arms of the Swiss, affected by their ambitious plans, included bolt actions (K-31, Kar98K, and many more), trapdoors (Winchester Trapdoors, and many more), and breechloaders (MHG34 Swiss design and others). The entire initiative involved using any guns they could use with the traditional modern metal-cased bullets, which the older trapdoor, breechloading, and straight-pull were redesigned and easily mass-produced. They were then reintroduced and delegated to other important marksman roles for the hard-trained Swiss mountain divisions. These divisions also included the Swiss sprites from the Candainian Gullblat Enclave, serving their mandatory military services. Their weapons were potent poisonous darts shot by their rifles, known to cause incredible disorientation to their belligerents. Their roles in the army were primarily scouting and ambushes mixed with infantry, artillery, mechanized infantry, or everything. THE AMOUNT OF SPRITE RIFLES AMOUNTED TO 90 MILLION UNITS, AND THE POISON DART CARTRIDGES WITHOUT THE POISON BULLET AMOUNTED TO 22 BILLION. Orders from the Swiss military were sent out to the Enclave in hopes of procuring more of their weapons and ammunition and increasing their stockpiles drastically.

Mortars and ATGM launchers were subjected to similar care and attention as well, citing more than 12K ATGM launchers from local design to international, and 2K mortars. Lightweight and heavy mortars were used for different combat doctrines, tasked specifically for varying situations and strategic locations. The army would go on to procure and maintain mortars with varying calibers from 55mm up to 200mm, adding to their arsenal of artilleries, primed and ready to batter and destroy any invasions. Most were carried by soldiers, up within the hilltops and valleys, while the heavier calibers were towed to safe and hidden positions within the blanket of Mother Earth. Coupled with high explosive traps, the artillery divisions doubled as their second wave of shock and awe against enemy troops and vehicles. Howitzer still played crucial roles in heavy, long-range bombardments as some artillery brigades within the Swiss army held key roles in manning highly maneuverable forces and defensive artillery lines inside bunkers. The newly formed 34th and 78th Swiss Heavy Artillery Brigades were their new additions. More undisclosed plans and projects were still in the works and are yet to be announced. The stockpiling process was expected to take 8 years to finish, slowly taking months to replenish ammunition stock and guns to their designated barracks, bunkers, and many other military facilities.

The parliament quickly and earnestly responded to the advancements in nuclear development. They poured the available resources they could muster into the development of their nuclear technologies, and most importantly, their nuclear deterrent. As a result, they called back their nine great war research divisions into active service, primarily, to improve national security, regional security, and clean energy development. Those research divisions were the National Scientific Research Divisions (THE NINE EXPRES DIVISIONS). AND TOGETHER WITH THE JOINT ALPINE TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS ADVANCEMENTS ASSOCIATION (THE JOINT ALPINE TABAA), THE PROJECTS WERE SHARED WITH THE CANDAIN GULLBLAT ENCLAVE, SECURING THEIR POSITION FOR CLEAN AND RELIABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY. Their expertise and knowledge were expected to be of great help to the Ministry of Energy, and the Ministry of the Military, which were helping to achieve national and regional security. THEIR SOLE FOCUSES WERE ENERGY POWER PLANT DEVELOPMENT, NUCLEAR WARHEAD DEVELOPMENT, AND ADVANCING THEIR TECHNOLOGIES.

The first step was to focus their manpower on the research of BETTER INTEGRATED CIRCUITS, SEISMOLOGY SYSTEMS, TSUNAMI INTEGRATED WARNING NETWORKS, NUCLEAR FUEL, AND EFFICIENT COMPUTERISED SYSTEMS, to name a few. THE SWISS SPRITES, SWISS HUMANS, AND Candain GULLBLAT SPRITES WERE EXPERTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS WITHIN THOSE IMPORTANT PROTECTION SYSTEMS. As such, those protection systems needed to be drawn and finalized to prevent nuclear meltdowns, which would undoubtedly lead to nuclear disasters. Civilian research firms and laboratories reached out to both Ministries to further break through their shared goal of a safer nuclear power plant. They dubbed it the SAHENR REACTORS, which were the aforementioned molten salt versions of the venerated nuclear power plant design. They utilized small pellets of nuclear fuel instead of the traditional rods. And they were able to be designed in various shapes with less need for intense structural reinforcements. They were able to hold out against earthquakes on their own. The system was also designed with an integrated water containment system to cool the pellets off in case of serious emergencies. Networks of pipes were to send them off into their containment units to prevent meltdowns. THE ENERGY COMPANY, OGLOV, SENT THEIR DESIGN PROPOSALS CALLING IT THE Safer Alternative Higher Efficiency Nuclear Reactor (SAHENR). THUS THEIR NEW SAHENR, SAHENR MoD 124G6, was presented to the Bureau head of the nuclear advancement program.

Such reactors would not only replace regular uranium rods which are less safe and easier for disasters to occur, but also give the ability to an easier integration of other technologies, once again if the changes are needed. The so-called SAHENR (Safer Alternative Higher Efficiency Nuclear Reactor) would use fuel pebbles, coated with a thick layer of composite materials that could withstand higher temperatures and pressures, which also acts as a sort of shock absorption. The leading company, OGLOV Insignia Energy Corp, is the brilliant mind that created the method of encasing nuclear fuel inside a composite ball. If a meltdown were to occur, the balls would immediately be sent to a Containment unit and safely stored with tons of water inside. Many designs were presented to the table of the meeting with the Minister of Energy, each having its distinct advantages over the older and conventional designs.

Much like the Nine Experimental Divisions, they were highly dedicated to the idea of advanced nuclear power plants with enhanced protection systems to keep them from collapsing. Nuclear energy was another needed primary energy source after the Confederation’s prominent and growing thermal energy and use of hydrocarbons, but they needed to make the first jump. Safety was their utmost priority, especially with the concerns of waste spillage into the ocean. For this reason, Underwater Research Divisions began their ways to capture and contain contaminants within the shallow and deeper waters. Filtration, through tiny slits within nets, was among the many ideas chosen from their design bureaus, but it had yet to prove its effectiveness. Currently, they were only useful for capturing and disposing of industrial muck, displaced from the river basins, which originated from major industrial centers and vast farmlands upstream. At best, they were used to cleaning up thicker substances of oil from spills and bilge dumping. But new systems, inspired by underwater zones of netting, were in progress.

As previously mentioned, the parliament secretly agreed to help develop nuclear weapons, creating their capabilities to dissuade other nuclear powers with the threat of mutually assured destruction. Ever since the nuclear proliferation from multiple superstates, conducted by all major powers, the momentum to gain equal footing was not only required but was the greatest necessity for defense and diplomatic leverage. To maintain peace, we must prepare for war, after all. But in public, they stated their commitment to the path of peace with the strategic resource, which was the development of clean energy production. A facade was created, showing their superficial layers, while they hid their darker secret.

Call from Eleutheria

Deeming reestablishment of trade ties not only necessary, but also beneficial for the diplomatic influence over southern Ardentia, the Foreign Ministry has decided to send out an envoy to Ceolan, along with a number of business representatives, in particular the ones from Hiramika Corp (precise machinery, robotics), Prodacorp (grain and dairy) and Pomyaril Inc. (photoelectric elements).

Call from Rykensvik

Arriving to the Aquitaan Sea, the captain of the "Failsafe" would notice that the coast belongs to Aquitinia, not Rykensvik, and thus a safe passage for the delegation had to be established. After short negotiations with the port authority in one of the cities, the envoy and his aide would continue their journey, now certainly arriving to Rykensvik's border.

Call from Dzeia

Recalling prior involvement in development of the nation, the Finance Ministry authorised Midribbonian companies to invest into Dzeia. The Foreign Ministry proposed a grant for the best investment proposal, amounting to 100 million crosets. Curiously enough, the Foreign Ministry is yet to renew any agreements with the Dze, despite already drafting plans for cooperation.

RP: Proliferation [SECRET GO KICK ROCKS, EXCEPT DZE]
A successful deal made for the sale of several air force and naval aircraft models made many a company happy. Despite the small, preliminary nature of the requested batch it was a gateway into further cooperation with the nation. Brennus had few friends and few enemies, their widespread pseudo-neutrality was and would continue to remain a cornerstone of foreign policy, the Republic would much rather continue to maintain a circle of primary allies rather than continue to become entangled in the diplomatic mire of major alliances like the Technate, Phoenix Blossom, or Vesperian Union. While perhaps to some the circle was too small, continued cooperation with the Swiss and Dze had turned into a profitable endeavor. So, while expansions into foreign policy were being considered, the current circle the nation found itself in was deemed sufficient, for now at least. The order of aircraft would be delivered in mixed batches. This was due not only to training and familiarization efforts but also the sheer cost of the nearly 3 billion Branc deal. It was a colossal amount of money, with a significant share of that due to make it into the pockets of the government thanks to their continued socialist-typical grip on massive private enterprises. A few expenses needed to be paid here and a few departments needed money there, overall a win-win situation.

- 5x M-27J
- 5x F-20NG

Batch one consisted of the first 10 machines, 5 medium airlift and 5 multirole fighter aircraft. While the F-20NG was the more expensive of the two economical fighter options the Brennians sold, it was a fast, reliable and hard hitting machine that was a more than worthy successor to the old F-10 and F-20 fighter models. A total overhaul of the F-20 the NG features a new part for anything you could think of, from the airframe all the way down to the AC system. Semi-Stealth capability and monstrous engines that have become a typical design principle in Brennian aircraft design provide a high top speed and a high acceleration to match. Built for the new age of BVR but keeping that delta wing maneuverability makes it a match even for the most overdesigned thoroughbred fighters in the world. Men and Women of the 61st Fighter Squadron, the "Vanguard" are assigned to training and familiarization of Dze pilots.

On a different note, the M-27J is one of the pride and joys of the Brennian Logistics Network. While the C-20, in all her glory, may be the largest cargo aircraft in inventory and made famous by the post Balto Civil War relief efforts the M-27J is a robust medium lift aircraft that is made to do the things the C-20 just cant. A shorter takeoff length, excellent cargo capacity and much tougher frame allow it to land and lift off from far more rugged areas than the C-20 could dream of. Easy to maintain but tough to break, its constantly reliable operation makes it a perfect fit for the unforgiving lands of the Dze, ordered aircraft will be fitted with standard Owl-Edge props for decreased noise pollution. Airlift squadron pilots and loadmasters will make the journey with the finished products to conduct training.

- 1x MM-27J
- 1x EM-27J

Both variants of the vaunted M-27J, these specialized mission variants provide a reliable, cheap, and easy to hand platform for special operations support and electronic warfare operations. Equipped with the same ruggedness as their medium lift sister variant both of these planes provide extreme flexibility in terms of landing strip conditions required for landing and lift off. The MM-27J is a dedicated special operations support aircraft. While not a gunship, perhaps to the disappointment of some, it provides critical operations support in many different ways. Equipped with dedicated C4ISR and SIGNT capability along with EO/IR Fusion sensors, ESM and an AESA search radar, little can escape its view. In addition, a store management system mounted in what used to be the cargo bay is capable of housing a variety of Precision Guided Munitions such as bombs, missiles, and loitering munitions. Four wing pylons allow for the mounting of further weapons, support equipment or fuel drop tanks.

Similarly, the EM-27J forgoes its capacity to carry cargo and replaces it with a varied suite of electronic warfare and cyber warfare equipment. While much of its capability is highly classified, it is more than capable of completely disrupting radio communications, even those used in remote detonators for IEDs and other such explosive devices. Cyber warfare capability expands this missions set and allows the EM-27J to attack and neutralize targets few other similar aircraft in the world can.

- 2x RS-235
- 5x AO-10C

Emerging threats in the modern Kalranian world often take the form of irregular rebel or terrorist groups engaging in low intensity conflict where the use of advanced equipment may result in unnecessarily high cost for even the most basic of strike missions, much less the cost of potentially losing one of these assets to the enemy. To this end, Brennus has put forth a low cost, highly effaceable strike aircraft for use in low intensity zones that cost pennies next to platforms like the F-20NG or even the Mako. A twin turboprop aircraft able to take off and land from even the most austere of landing strips, the AO-10C combines simplicity with firepower. Featuring an advanced radar and camera system pilots enjoy high situational awareness as compared to contemporaries of its type. A varied list of armaments provides further mission flexibility to the machine, capable of carrying advanced munitions on a platform a fraction of the price of fighter or attack jets. Survivability in the form of advanced countermeasures ensures sufficient defense against threats like MANPADS, pilots will be provided for training of the SC air wing.

Yet another variant of a ubiquitous cargo aircraft the Ocean Sentry provides a similarly cheap SAR capability to whatever navy or air force makes the choice to acquire it. While not a floatplane like its RM-27J counterpart, it makes up for it by providing advanced search and command and control capability for rescue efforts. Able to locate and relay locations of those in need while serving as a command node for wider operations, one could locate a victim, relay its location to retrieval assets, and guide in said assets all in a short span of time. With how rough the coasts of the Confederation are, SAR assets will be critical for maintaining coastal safety of foreigners and nationals alike.

Another Day in Congress
As the country adjusts to a more global presence, its laws and congress must also adjust accordingly. On the floor was the discussion of immigration laws and dealing with both legal, unregistered with expired presence visas, and illegals. The current laws regarding immigration and residency applications were considered draconic and “built on top of itself repeatedly” by the Liberty’s Pride Party (LPp). The LPp has been trying for several years to revise and solidify a new method for dealing with foreigners as most of the policies regarding immigration were written in the 1950s and 1960s, which were very anti-immigrant due to the issues of the period.

Dual citizenship was outlawed, however residency wasn’t citizenship. This meant that immigrants who applied for residency could still retain their homeland’s citizenship. The Vikinggarden brought this to the floor and requested of the bill’s drafter that there be an addendum to nullify any foreign citizenships if an immigrant becomes a resident. The LPp pushed back saying that this would discourage foreigners from becoming residents, thus shrinking the population.

The Libertarian Front Party (LFp) added that the country was experiencing a food price spike due to the shrinking farmland domestically. Foreign imports had to be brought in via air travel and while news of the Det Norske Luftfartselskap’s “Cargo Airship” was most reassuring due to its carrying capacity, it was still many years away from service. Current cargo aircraft were stretching their travel distances with the current trade network that Rykensvik had established and would require multiple aircraft/trips to import the foodstuffs needed to feed the country.

A heated debate broke out on the floor that importing more residents would spike food demand and prices thus worsening the cost of living situation. For reference, over the past ten years, 2000-2010, the cost of eggs has increased by 10 Kroner, milk by 12 Kroner, and bread by 9 Kroner. The cost of fuel however has decreased from 4 Kroner a gallon to 4 Kroner per gallon as a result of expanding oil drilling operations, the cost of a barrel of crude oil however has remained largely unchanged, 870 Kroner per barrel (81 USD). It would also require city expansions to provide more housing opportunities, the current monthly rent nationally is approximately 12,000 Kr (1200 USD), an average 4 bedroom, 2 bath house in an average quality neighborhood sits around 3.2 million Kr (280,000 USD).

Some members of the LFp were speculating that an annual increase of about 20 to 50 thousand residents would see the cost of housing increase 30%, most single-family houses are resident owned, most renting properties are corporate-owned or single-building small business. Most rental properties are not profitable and the larger corporate owned properties are just one bad year from bankruptcy. This means a substantial subsidy would be required to see housing expansion. Current birth/death rates would keep the country at a stable growth, seeing an annual increase of population around 5,000 to 10,000 residents.

The LPp laid claim that by increasing the population, Rykensvik would have more people to operate low-grade jobs that many native-born Vikans don’t want to do, largely due to low pay or labor intensity. A counterpoint was made by another member of the LPp that increasing the minimum wage would push the wages of these low-end high labor jobs upwards to compete better with other low-end jobs.

Vikinggarden (VG) protested both ideas heavily, laying claims that it would hurt many smaller businesses that have less than a hundred employees and often only one or two sites of operation. Increasing foreigner presence would require more funding being thrown into the education system, furthermore requiring the creation of a dedicated “Foreigner assimilation school” to bring immigrants who become new residents up to intellectual speed with the rest of Vikan society. This would divert funding away from national defense and infrastructure budgets, both of which were being heavily utilized for the country’s technological improvement.

The LFp made a statement that Rykensvik currently has no major adversary. There are some running rumors as to the questionable state of some of the neighboring territories, but there is no major threat to Rykensvik’s sovereignty. The military doesn’t need to bloat its budget, rather it needs to decrease its overall spending to sustain current capabilities instead of expanding. The LPp agreed. There were some members of the VG who did agree but did not speak up.

The debates continued for months with little progress being made due to the VG’s majority within congress. Any attempts at lessening military spending in favor of increasing population or subsidies for financial safety nets were blocked. Immigration into the country was at a standstill, relying on a half century old collection of laws and bureaucracy. That is until one of the members of the VG, a known moderate of the party, proposed a plan that got enough congressmen on board to pass it through.

The bill would overhaul and simplify the immigration and residency application process, allowing the whole process to take approximately 6 months to 1 year, increasing the visa expiration date to 2 years while a residency application is under review. It would also increase the minimum wage from 70Kr to 110 Kroner (7-11USD). It would pull the budget not from the military but rather from the national R&D subsidies to increase funding for welfare nets and to fund the new immigration methodology. It would also separate border security from the military and create its own branch of service with more lax requirements for service duty. It would also allow residents to gain citizenship through public service, serving as police, firefighters, paramedics, and search-and-rescue. The proposer estimated this would increase the citizen population from 15% as it is now, to 20-25% of the population. This would create a larger and more diverse voting base, allowing for less brute-force governmental policy. It created a stir within the VG but achieved the ⅔ majority vote to pass it up to the presidency.

The bill sat on the president’s desk for about a month as Valka Jorgenson reviewed it meticulously, with a small team of lawyers who had no presence during the debates or knowledge of the bill itself prior. In August of 2011, the bill, known as “Immigration Citizenship Pathway”, ICP, was passed into law with the presidential seal of approval.

Those marauders at the checkpoint had been quite thoroughly shocked; the situation had gone from robbing vehicles as a highwayman to an open shootout against a state actor. The snipers in the mountains couldn't see much of anything as long as the Brennians stayed out of the light and with goggles; that was more than easy. The blockade had been blown to bits by the armoured vehicle fire; the machine gun emplacements had got off a few glancing shots which clanged against armour, but the heavy guns were lost from this, and so was the machine gun crew; there was ample of yelling and shouting as the Brennian soldiers engaged the enemy in the dark, the enemy floodlights being the first things to be shot out, the civilians nearby caught on and turned the lights off on their vehicles and got to cover which was abundant enough from random boulders and the ditches. The Marauders in cover dialled their IEDs to no avail; they thought maybe the mountain was blocking cell service, and their greatest weapon against the vehicles was the shaped charges, which were out of commission a devastating blow. Several of those with RPGs moved into firing positions only to get torn up by rounds. However, one of them got a shot off, sending it into an armored vehicle, resulting in quite the fireball, a thermobaric round; soon, he too was dispatched. The highwaymen didn't have any sophisticated ATGM equipment, and when they realized that there were no rockets left, the marauders started to flee, now running down the road, not willing to die for this cause with the odds shifting so rapidly.

A successful engagement. With the blockade down the mountain pass will be liberated.

MAWE MGUMU QUARRY Update: Much of the equipment remained in the same place with only some small shipments going in, but word of the engagement at the highway pass had spread quickly, and they realized that they weren't against the local security forces and may very well need to open the containers of their precious equipment if they are to continue operations.

Your objective Awaits, the primary road to Kivuli Emerald Mine was now passable;

INT: Kivuli Emerald Mine
The road to the mine was dotted with land mines; they had several checkpoints, and images were captured of some mortar pits, an artillery gun, machine gun emplacements and stashes of ATGM and MANPAD weaponry. Kuvuli symbolized the emerald king's power; according to local lore, his ancestors once became wealthy from its riches. The equipment is stored at the bottom because it is an open-pit mine. The mine went down in rings and connected to several other pits with tunnels they created; the tunnels have storehouses with even more gear. The supplies here were different than those kept at the Quarry, it seemed to have extensive artillery equipment that could be used to overthrow a government, but only one gun was set up on the surface. Old mining vehicles were also lying around, and some trailers that had been set up near the end of the mine's life cycle existed and were armoured up as makeshift bunkers, likely with guns inside. They were powered by a few generators kept inside a fenced area; about 100 of the marauders occupy the area at all times, but the numbers surge to ~300 during the weekends with several groups of labourers arriving and troops.

FOREIGN MINISTRY OF THE UDONOVI REPUBLIC OF KULKKISTAN

وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اودونووی کولکستان

Statement on the Strengthening of Diplomatic Ties with Kemonomica

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Udonovi Republic of Kulkkistan is delighted to have received offers from the nation of Honalulu to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between both nations. Kulkkistan soon hopes to begin the construction of an embassy for Honalulu in Noshkant, and vice versa, in order to establish a communications channel between both of our countries. Alongside this, Kulkkistan will be loosening restrictions on travel visas, with the aim of promoting tourism between both nations.

The Ministry of Trade, alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be convening soon to discuss potential trade and economic offers that will be forwarded to the leadership of Kemonomica within due time. Kulkkistan hopes that the strengthening of ties will continue into the future, as Kulkkistan seeks to grow closer to other nations around the world, as the globalists and capitalists have purportedly been seeking to unsuccesfully force Kulkkistan into an era of isolation.

Statement on the Baseless Accusations Made by Authorities in Prolekult

The government of Kulkkistan categorically denies any of the appalling and baseless accusations made by imperialist authorities of southern Solingarch regarding our alleged involvement in the activities of Nieve Lem-Ristović. These allegations of Kulkkistani operatives operating within these developments are unfounded and fabricated. We categorically reject any insinuation that we would engage in covert operations to destabilize another sovereign state. Such claims are not only absurd but also malicious attempts by the imperialists to deflect attention from the real issues at hand. It is evident that the authorities in southern Solingarch are seeking to exploit this tragedy for their own political agenda. By fabricating connections to Kulkkistan, they aim to discredit legitimate revolutionaries and silence voices of the people within their own society.

However, the government of Kulkkistan would also like to express its vocal support for the people struggling against this imperialist regime. Nieve Lem-Ristović was a respected labor organizer and theorist within the local community. His untimely and brutal death has shaken us deeply, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Imperialists have continued to force their people into a state of silence, however soon enough this will fail, and revolutionaries globally will soon have their opportunity to rise up against the oppressive imperialists and capitalists.

The small village of Ail Anem, just a few kilometers away from the larger town of El Ghanater, had been borderline abandoned for years by this point. Larger infrastracture that had been in the process of being constructed was largely left abandoned, and the settlement's remaining population had instead hosen to back to their traditional housing styles. It had been over fourty years since the imperial government of Kulkkistan promised to directly fund the growing settlement, and turn it into Kulkkistan's "next Noshkant". As a result of money being poured directly into the city, tens of thousands found themselves willingly moving to the city, seeking job opportunities to help assist in building the small settlement into something greater. All seemed great for the once tiny settlement, and a bright future was ahead for them. However, 1980 came and went. Money soon stopped pouring into the city, and many of these workers who had once moved to the settlement in search of jobs, moved back out in the face of the revolution. Things grew worse when Kulkkistan straight up began to neglect the numerous infrastructure projects ongoing in the settlement, and by this point any remaining workers had also left for good. Those who were left were either the settlement's natives, or those who just couldn't afford to move back to urban Kulkkistan, and instead chose to adapt to the ways of the local.

Nonetheless, it would be this day that the forgotten settlement would become the birthplace of something greater than the town could ever dream of being. On the 3rd day of March, 2011, near three in the afternoon, locals would be working, as per usual. Even when all those intellectual and urban workers had left the settlement, working still remained a huge and instrumental part of the town's culture, with men, women, and even children working day and night to provide for their families. It had also just recetly rained for the first time in what felt like forever, meaning the ground was wet and the skies above the settlement were dark and cloudy. But to the average civilian, there was no difference between cloudy and sunny, as no matter what happened, the working must continue. Of course, their government had stopped providing them with basic necessities, so who else was going to do it for them? In fact, the area in and around the settlement was run by the locals, and no one else. Not even the militants, who were hellbent on casting as much influence over Kulkkistan as they could without angering Noshkant, couldn't even be bothered to keep a few men here and there. Unfortunately for Noshkant and the civilians, this fact would soon come back to bite them.

As the locals continued to work, the sound of vehicles approaching and tires treading through the muddy ground would force their interest, as many gathered near the entrance to the settlement. In the distance, they could see what was making those sounds: actual vehicles. For the first time in years, vehicles would be present within the city, something that meant a lot to the average local. As the vehicles got closer and closer, they could begin to make out the vehicles themselves. Four technicals armed with machine guns and rocket launchers, one larger, white van, and one black sedan, which, compared to the other vehicles, seemed completely spotless and untouched. The van drove in the front, while the sedan was in the back, and the four technicals surrounded the two vehicles as if they were forming a defensive shield around them. The vehicles would then speed up, approaching the settlement even faster, before stopping in front of the crowd of locals. Notably, all the vehicles, excluding the black sedan, all had flags positioned on the top of each vehicle, and this flag was completely black, except for some Phresian writing that was in white an a small symbol above the writing that none of the civilians could make out. Another thing many had noticed, was that the men on the back of the technicals controlling the weaponry were wearing a mix of traditional clothing alongside militant clothing, with traditional headwear being used as makeshift masks, as well as weaker bullet vests.

As soon as the vehicles stopped, more militants would begin to exit the vehicles, with at least twenty being present. Many of them were equipped with automatic rifles, and one was even carring a rocket launcher. They then walked towards the black sedan, and would open the back door. There, an older man who appeared to be in his late sixties would exit the car, wearing religious clothing, being escorted by the militants as he walked towards the crowd.

As he walked towards the crowd, the civilians within the crowd would begin kneeling at the sight of his presence, with many also cheering. He would direct the militants to enter the city as he began greeting the locals, using a traditional religious greeting to do so. Many would also begin cheering his name. "Ismail al-Usman!", some would proclaim.

By the end of the day, Ismail and his militants would finally leave the city. After a day of ferocious speeches in the city, many of the settlement's men, and even some children, would be given rifles and militant clothing, given the task to defend the settlement and export their movement outside of the area. As the vehicles began to leave, one by one, the locals-turned-militants would begin shouting one phrase over and over.

    "Long live the Akhist State!"

RP: Its a Long Way
Otyken

The sounds of gunfire ripped through the otherwise quiet day, the initial volley of machine guns replaced by the beastly thunk of the IFVs autocannon. 30mm rounds ripped apart the front barriers and scattered men across the ground in what resembled something like a chunky pasta sauce. With the front lines being cleared out almost immediately, infantry stormed what was left of the barricade, one Brennian marine hoisting his GPMG and blasting at a small group of hostiles as they tried to recover from the storm of cannon rounds. They never got the chance and they lay dead more or less where they fell as a high intensity gunfight kicked off. The fire supremacy doctrine was showing its good side, at least 5 machine guns pouring lead into whatever defensive positions remained for the Emerald King’s men. Dropping like flies and with their IEDs useless it was a hopeless battle, and while it looked to be going flawlessly, a lone AT gunner managed to slip the view of the Marines as a thermobaric round was loosed from its launcher. It was aimed at the IFV, but sailed high as he was still quite suppressed and soon after died on the ground. Normally a near miss would be nothing to worry about, but with the rest of the convoy stuck up behind the fighting element a stray RPG round could spell disaster.

Spell disaster it nearly did, as the bulbous projectile sailed over a few vehicles in the convoy and smashed into an APC. Had it been a perfect dead on hit from the angle it was coming from the driver would certainly have been doomed, though at the last second its slat armor package tripped up the RPG, throwing it off course and detonating it in a spectacular explosion. Thermobaric rounds were nothing to scoff at even given their inherently anti-personnel role. The explosions they could make were devastating, and civilian cars would be rendered hunks of scrap by a good hit. Given this, a chunk of the front Slat armor was turned into slag, tearing it off its mountings and tilting it to the ground on one side, a track caught a good portion of shrapnel, and helped by the pressure wave screwed it beyond easy repair. The driver popped his hatch shortly after, groaning and flailing about helplessly as he staggered and fell off the top of the APC. His ears were buzzing horribly and his vision was next to useless, he didn’t know where he was or what happened, reducing to writhing on the ground in confusion and pain as his commander and a corpsman from one of the dismounted squads rushed to his aid. Mercifully the rest of the vehicle and its living cargo were unharmed.

A recovery vehicle from the convoy would have to pick it up and move it, and with the stranded infantry having no other space to sit were relegated to guarding it and directing the traffic until they were picked up along with the APC. Succinctly the rest of the two companies' worth of men moved on, diverting around the wreck. Kivuli Mine was wide open, and the troops pressed on with determination.

Oddly enough, only a lightly defended checkpoint stood between us and our objective in the mine. This lends credence to the theory that we’ve taken them completely by surprise and it would be wise to carry this momentum forward as quickly as possible, the faster Kivuli is taken the easier Mawe Mgumu will fall. To this end the 1st and 4th Platoons from 1st Battalion, 11th MEU will advance on Kivuli at best possible speed. There can be no rest between our time engaging enemy forward elements and our putsch to Kivuli, we cannot allow them to be ready for us.

4th Platoon, the battalion's weapons platoon will be responsible for organic support and flank protection, and will be organized in a rough half circle around 1st Platoons engagement zone; any enemy elements that slip past the view of the 1st will be engaged by the 4th. 1st Platoon will engage their attack only after a preliminary bombardment consisting of guided mortars and loitering munitions has concluded. 4th Platoon’s mortar battery will then be on call after an obscuring smoke fire mission on likely/suspected hidden enemy positions. Loitering munitions have already been fed positioning data on mortar pits, and infantry elements have been given bunker position data, which will be marked on HUD and maps. We know for a fact mines have been deployed to cover the road approach, so we will simply not take the road. At earliest convenience the convoy will veer off and traverse cross country to objective area. Minefield perimeters have been confirmed and marked by drone work. IED jammers will stay on at all times, and a mine clearing engineering vehicle will be heading the convoy to hopefully avoid any surprise explosives.

We have them off guard, outnumbered 500 to 100 and with superior firepower and intelligence. If there was any such thing as a perfect opportunity it would be this, mop this up quick and clean. After your target is secured enemy munitions are to be disposed of and the tunnels are to be completely sealed, we will not waste the lives of our men for little reason. We don’t need them cleared, we just need them useless.

The Emerald King’s forces are distracted, looking towards Kivuli and not enough to the land right in front of them. Though this will be a far less breezy engagement with the element of surprise it should be more than doable. We’ve had ample time to observe their compound, and several loitering munitions strikes have been queued onto the facilities power generation. The 13th MEU should arrive at its muster point shortly and will conduct foot reconnaissance with a strike no engagement policy as to avoid supplies being moved out in anticipation of an attack. Once holes in intelligence are patched, the 13th MEU will conduct an attack with the 2nd and 3rd Platoons of their 1st Battalion, both rifle platoons as a weapons platoon would be too damaging to the civilian presence. It’ll be a slow, inevitably close quarters fight with tight restrictions on support, casualties are expected and caution must be exercised.

ONE CENTURY SINCE THE END OF THE CALAMITY WAR

"Cast her into the indifferent Inferno of Calamity, and her being will all but be lost to the sorrowful lamentations of her sons and daughters. Yet her memories will return to the ancestral mantle, and we, the scions, must return. For in our return, she shall be born anew from the ashes and cinders..."
- excerpt from 'Arul Iraxa ain Sarvan', unknown author

All that was once known as the Sarvanti Ordant is gone to the eons. A nation torn apart by the sinful carnality of Man, finally burnt to ashes in the raging flames of the Calamity War. What remains of this civilization is inherited by its struggling remnants, the Scions. It is a time of respite beneath the weight of an uneasy peace forged by the silence of guns, yet man's nature threatens to reignite the dying embers of war into an all-consuming inferno. From the burgeoning domains of successor states brought about by the Great Revolution to the forgotten evils dormant in the exclusion zones, false peace is threatened in this Age of Cinders.

The political landscape of the region has remained extremely fragile, even during the calmest of times. Spurred by ancient rivalry and unforgotten grudges, the lion and the crow stand under opposing banners in carving out a foothold in the Heartlands. Oris and Haedus claim succession to the high throne of the Sarvanti Ordant, and it is through this clash that the sides are locked in a vicious cold war waged in hopes of salvaging lost technologies of the Calamity War to advance their causes. For now, the laws of the Rubicon remain upheld by the nations, and the blades of their warriors have yet to spill blood.

The martial republics of the Northern Star and the influence of the Federal Administration Council have begun to spill in from beyond the rocky peaks of the Saring. Though unrelated to the old feuds and the struggle in the south, Arctura has emerged as a new contender, a status that has upset the balance of power in the region. Another state remains to weigh in the complexity of the current political landscape and complete the four-way tug of war. Across the waters, Carrion remains isolated from the brewing storm to the west. Yet, its recent foray into the mainland with the reclamation of Langle has situated it to play a role in unfolding political situations.

Fledgling, lesser states around bare allegiance to these great powers, or cast the cloak of neutrality. Systems of alliances emerge, and back-alley political scheming is rampant. Yet, not all fall under the realm of order. The lawlessness of the exclusion zones has given birth to the Outcasts. Those who have given up what was left of civility, to adapt to the indifferent, cruelty of the world. Beyond them, whispers of an occultic society, bornt of the paranormal, in the shadows run rampant among the upper echelons of society...

Will the Scions be doomed to repeat the past mistakes of the Ancestors, or will a new age be forged by the blossoms of the victorious? Much remains uncertain in this Age of Cinders...

"Each drop of blood spilled is a drop of blood well-spent. Victory is everything before Carrion's future."
- Irians Varsich, Aisarn of the First Warhost of Carrion 'Arajan'

Before the Calamity War, the Mavony Isles were of little strategic value. During the years building up to the first shots of the war itself, a control hub for managing shipping traffic and flow of logistics between the west and east. Now, in the Age of Cinders, the Isles have come under the control of Carrion through one of its vassals on the mainland Arixa. Its purpose had shifted to securing control of the opening to the inland sea against the other scion states, and a bulwark of communication between the isolated Carrion and its western vassals south of the heartlands. A sizable military presence, elements of one of Carrion's detached leagues, are present on and around the island. Approaching Mavony Isles directly would be met with immediate and open hostility as deemed attempts to seize the isles from Carrion's control.

Peace on our own terms

Anarchical and violent nature of the current Savrani political landscape has long bothered Midribbonian military commanders and political leaders. While not a particularly popular topic among the general populace, instability of a neighbouring nation was a burden for both national security and economic ties. The new, right-leaning government, elected among the background of increasing crime rates and occult activity, saw military intervention as the only feasible solution. Project "Safety Net" has been adopted, in part, as a response to the increased activity of pirates in the international waters of Patima Sea.

Mavony Isles, as the first target of the Project, has been studied from afar, utilising aerial photography and scanning of radio frequencies in the proximity. With the ships in active construction phase, the Defence Ministry has ordered additional FPV drones of different variety from manufacturers within Midribbonia, and acquired a number of helicopters as a payment for military bases of Sodor and Seljaryssk. Additional 3 amphibious assault vehicles have also been ordered, fully employing all shipyards across the nation, which was supported by further military budget increases. While the militarisation has strained the welfare state and infrastructure, leading to high likelihood of the left coalition returning to power, the plan has already been set in motion - with everything ready by 2014, the military operation shall commence, a swift but deadly blow, all for sake of not just national, but international security.

RP Civil Rights Act of 2011
The following amendments to the constitution of Baltocarpathia and it’s incorporated nationstates seek to further policies in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ guaranteeing basic human rights and civil liberties to those harmed by the previous regime and to reconcile a new generation to the most holy way by means of seeking the truth and establishing a more perfect Union of Nations and cultures, we the people declare that ALL people are created equal, endowed by God with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Women will be allowed from this day onwards, to receive social security benefits from being a homemaker, will be allowed entry into any college or work environment, will receive full access to banking services and credit cards, will be able to open businesses in their own name, and will be given more bodily autonomy. This currently comes in the form of the Revised Modesty Acts of 1970, which will be updated from this day forward to allow men and women more opportunity to dress in a way that expresses themselves, while still holding to the principles of the people and church. Freedoms of expression and protest will also be expanded allowing the people to criticize the government openly without fear of penalties or imprisonment. This bill is signed by the senate and house of Baltocarpathia and will be sent to President Max Lorenzo for final approval into Law. God save the republic!

Addendum 1A Support of Mothers Act
With the passing of this bill, additional government welfare assistance will be created for the purposes of helping struggling families, single mothers, and pregnant women out of wedlock to take care of their children and themselves. Additionally, those who qualify will receive 200$ a month of money for any supplies not covered by government aid

Days passing by

Daughters of the wind

Bayarmaa would have her sash fastened around her waist, holding her overcoat in place, by her mother and exit the tent she called home, though it was not by the mother who birthed her. She was a Nxan, an adoptive daughter in a dze family, and her name was of the Tori language, though she had been given the name Moqłʻtuŋ, used as a secondary name. She was barely five, and she had been adopted by a dze soldier during the war as a mere baby, when her biological mother, a Karzynite, would hand her baby over to the convoy that was passing through the remains of what was her village with her last breath, burnt by the Karzyn for supposed cooperation with the Il-Saakan.

The little harpy knew none of this, for her father would only refer to her biological mother's sacrifice to save her in vague terms, both to not hand the mental burden he carried, and to not relive the days from the war. Her father, she would find, tending to the herds that made their family's livelihood, while her mother would spend a little free time staring at clouds and mountains before going to collect water for today's lunch. She would use her wings to get quicker to her father, though she did not know how to fly quite yet, so she would crash gently into him, knocking him over; sharing a laugh, she would then stay with her father and the herd, while her mother went for water.

She would ask him questions about her homeland and he would answer in detail, also teaching her about her home's customs and her language, which she did not know entirely, having spent most of her very young life in company of dzeoi and their complex tongues. She would also ask many questions of her new home, as she and her father had only arrived there barely a year before, with her having grown up with the soldiers in the barracks, safe from danger.

For many hours she would ask question, play with the animals or in the grass as her father watched over her, until her mother called them over for lunch, stew with wild herbs. Arriving with haste, for the little kid delighted in food, she would arrive to her mother serving them bowls, as well as preparing food for her baby sister, Namuunaa, called Tṡuńat by her mother and father. The baby tori, much like her, had been adopted by the soldier, though while Bayarmaa hailed from near Bagalgan, Namuunaa was from Khandor, though those names mattered not to either the toddler or the baby, both having known no parent but the dze couple caring for them.

Sometimes men just like her father, though in tidy, square uniforms, would visit the family, mostly friends of the soldier that were still serving or sometimes men who simply gave her father and mother a salute, handed them a paper letter with something called "money" and would leave. That was her father's pension, which was from three sources: his Paternity Leave, the medals he earned in the war and the salary of a soldier, for although her daughter did not know, his father was only going to be there every day until both tori were old enough to take care of the herd, then he would return to service and only be able to visit on weekends.

All of that she did not know either, and her parents were not going to explain such concepts to a child just yet, and so she remained untroubled, living a life privileged amongst those who survived the war. After lunch, she would take a nap by her baby sister's cradle, blissful in her situation, as her mother went outside to relax a bit while her father watched over the children. When she woke up an hour later, her father told her to wrap her sister so the two could accompany him collect some things that were needed in the house, mainly firewood for the brazier, though that work would be done only by him, as he was taking the children for a walk.

She would watch her father use a steel axe to cut several pieces of wood and placing them on the back of a Lequn, while she held her baby sister or gently placed her on a large boulder when her arms grew tired. On the way back, with dusk starting to set in, she would ponder as to how her brother was doing, with her father surprised that she knew that and revealing her mother had told her about it; "good", he answered, "he'll be with us in some time", then the child would ask "¿will he look like us, or like you?". Although unknowingly, the small harpy sometimes did realize her parents did not look like her, though it was expected, so her father would answer, "he'll look like me and your mother, but you are all Qixka (True Children) to us". Giddily happy with the answer, she would state her willingness to meet her brother when he arrived, saying that Namuunaa felt the same; smiling, her father would chuckle at his daughter's words, comforting him a little.

When arriving to the tent, the two tori would be served their respective dinner, before their parents sang lullabies to them as they fell asleep, with Bayarmaa excitedly awaiting the next day, so she could play with her sister and walk with her father, the stars and clouds her companion at night, the sun and wind at day.

Moss upon the Totem

Meta would wake up with the first rays of dawn, she of purple blaze, and would set towards a commonly treaded flight, across dense, guarded, woods and creeks, from hill to hill; as the sun rose from the mountains into the sky she would then arrive at a beautiful, yet nostalgic, site for her. It was Xanaaq̇ut's Garden, a grove hidden in the moors and slopes of the teeth of the earth.

She saw that some of the totems had gotten moss from her last visit, two days ago, and she would gently swipe it off from the stone, while staring solemnly at the totem at its center, overlooked by those one step above. Two and a half metres tall and richly ornated with platinum dust, the face engraved upon it being that of an elderly dze, of gentle but tired face, his hair below his elbows and holding both a sabre and a staff, the urn right in front of it un-touched by nature and with the inscription that read, in the script of his people:

Xanaaq̇ut Xanaaq. Ł̣oqʻł̣eeqi, Tx̣eńatxi. Nuwuqʻtsotʻaanq Dzenoq qʻuńi Dzetsʻał̣u. Sekanxujxuŋtaŋiiqu tṡuł̣ḳoqaxuˮit moł̣an, X̣ṭeḿł̣oqʻu.

She silently stared at he who was her father, in her eyes, and she felt not just the warmth of the sun treading over, but his shielding aura as well, for the soul of a dzeoi accompanies those who were dear to him, even as they feasted and talked to their ancestors in the celestial dark. The message had been engraved unto the urn by one whose totem now was placed at his right, closest to him, her expression proud and tall, her hands holding a shield and a lybris, her adoptive sister. The totems of those who had died more than a centuy and a half ago, when his family had been almost exterminated, adorned his and his wife's circle, while his own father, mother and brothers watched from the outer circle, standing over them.

Few visited this place recently, only offerings of incense, lit upon a small elongated tray, had been left by another adoptive daughter, seemingly three days ago, whilst a few of his grandchildren too had visited, as she noticed by the marks of boots, but those were slightly older as well. Barely anybody knew this place existed, at all, for those not close to her family were barred entry under penalty of death. She knew why most of them did not visit, but she still wished they did, those she called nephews and nieces.

She would remain there for the entire day, only making her way back to Alx̣tsʻan when dusk, of orange blaze, began to set in. She would clean the other totems, the urns and leave offerings of incense, though she could not light it, as she had no hands. Hearing faint footsteps, she would exit the grove to find her sister, Enko, arriving with a bag and with a hiking staff, cloaked by the fading sun. Lighting the incense for her, she would take up her post as Watcher of the Garden for the night, as she began to clean the area around the grove, planting the flowers most dear to those whose memory now laid in the totems.

Rules and Consequences

Eöl would quietly approach room 547 in the Armenelos Continental. It was not his room, that was 621, but he treated forward and would use a pick to unlock the door, unknowing of the camera watching him from the alley. He would take out a pistol with a silencer as he opened the door, his target sleeping soundly on his bed, a fellow assassin. He had been offered ₮20,000,000 for this hit, closed contract, and that was, in his mind, enough money to be worth committing such acts on Continental grounds. He saw his target, a human immigrant to Eldamar, from a mirror in the living room, before treading slowly to the sleeping quarters.

Hearing sudden movement, he hid behind a wall. His presence had been made known by an alarm in the bed, alerting his target of someone breaking in. Nevertheless, the sindarin moved on, before being tackled by the human, who would restrain the elf after a prolongued fight in the living room, having hit the elf with a lamp in a desperate attempt to stave him off, but as he was calling for the cleanup crew, the elf would break free from the restraints and kill him, though he would not enjoy his victory, nor his bounty, for a call would arrive at his phone, from a voice he knew all to well.

???: "Hîr Eöl, tolo na phand? listo"

He knew the consequences of not heeding such a call, even if the tone was that of a question or a favour. He would simply then exit the room, seeing the clean-up crew at the entrance of the hall, though he would simply take the elevator to the 13th floor, where the Courtyard of the Continental, where a water spring and gardens lay, and there he saw the Manager, a tall Dze of tourmaline eyes that shone with a starry glow, however wearing a modern, though quite fancy, coat for the cold night with the Continental pin on his heart: Qińux̣.

The Dze would approach him with a neutral face, hands on his coat's pockets, with a slow gait, for he was relaxed and uncaring at the moment, before speaking to him with a friendly tone at first, then slowly turning to a more formal voice.

Qińux̣: "Mister Eöl, your association to the Continental has been, by thine own hand, revoked"

As four figures then approached from behind the Manager, Eöl stood silently as he simply uttered the words:

Eöl: "Rules..."

Qińux̣: "Consequences"

Then, the faint sound of suppressed gunshots, and the body of the elf crashing on the ground, would be the only disturbances to the night ambience of Armenelos, capital of political intrigue in Eldamar. This was a typical, sorry, occurrence for the Continental he managed; the locals did not appear to appreciate the Continental's rules...yet. They had been, for the most part, a more passive agent in the squabbles of noble families of Eldamar, though, maybe, this could be set to change...if only they knew someone who had the power to force the nobles into a quiet, closed doors agreement, he thought to himself as he passed his payment to the clean-up crew, oh well, maybe for another time.

Results - Battle of Mitindo Mountains
The Security Forces of Agusha did not stand idle after the battle of Mitindo Mountains (Highway 223) concluded, the Emerald King had struck fear into the hearts of the citizens and law enforcement, but now he was given quite the shove. The Security forces deployed was the 5th Mountain Assault Brigade which cleared out any of the remaining snipers and burned the nests and supplies, much needed relief was able to flow to villages providing fuel and supplies as trucks could get by without being robbed. The 5th was posted to the region to hold Brennian gains and to provide overwatch for Brennian vehicles moving through this perilous passage of terrain. The citizens back near the port seemed just a little less disdainful, many of them had family on the other side of the pass.

Battle of Kivuli Mine
The roads here were once paved to accomodate heavy trucks, but now left to rot from the mine drying up and the damage of heavy vehicles crossing it in years passed. The roads had pot holes filled with muddy water. The weather was a overcast with a slight drizzle not uncommon for this region as it was practically Jungle. En route they passed by some cars on the various roads, a sense of unease setting in from each vehicle like they could be a terrorist or informant just waiting to get out of sight to call the movements in. Soon they would make a turn to the main road to the mine, having elected to go cross country to avoid some known mine areas this did slow then down as the terrain was rough, but not impassable the leader of the group a mine clearing vehicle whose GPR would occasionally find washed out mines, interesting enough it seems most of the known mine fields had placed the devices in pot holes which filled up with muddy water to hide them, pot holes that would surely do more than bend your tire rims. Some roadside bombs had been spotted, but not many they seemed confident the mine was out of reach for the security forces, it did require them to secure the mountain pass, bypass the check points, bypass a mine field, roadside bombs, and more. Soon the Brennian forces reached their destination and had some time to prepare as they hadn't been spotted yet, allowed to setup mortars and move the shells and zero them in and troopers getting into position. It seemed to be going too well, this was dispelled when a couple scooters and motor bikes could be heard heading down the road towards the mine they stopped when they seen armored vehicles nearby in the woods and started yelling then radioed it in, they disembarked grabbed their Type 56 rifles and went into the woods.

Soon the mine defenders had been alerted they grabbed their ATGMs, rifles, grenades and more. To fight the intruders, those from the scooters and bikes had become forward observers and ratted out several positions of the Brennians, down in the mortar pits shells would be launched and the large 155mm artillery gun would fire, the connection was spotty from the jammers leading to limited accuracy and slow updates from the forward observers. If course the brennians had their own mortars and loitering munitions, but the real terror was when the marauders would fire modern day ATGMs at the vehicles. Those down at the mine itself where in a frenzy not knowing what is happening.

Mawe Mgumu Quarry
Preliminary reconnaissance found that the quarry had quite a large number of enemy soldiers, but they were practically at a disadvantage in the low ground and an array of firing positions that drones couldn't see from an air angle had been marked out allowing them to fire down on the quarry with minimal exposure of return fire. The old generators had their long line of service cut short from loitering munitions and power across the quarry had gone out, the time was very early in the morning so the workers were in far less number at the quarry, but the Marauders were plenty with all their equipment ripe for the picking and were alerted immediately flooding out with rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers in hand to engage the attackers of their precious and expensive supply cache. More most certainly lurked in the tunnels, this was going to be a long engagement.

The island of Fargarden had not always been dominated by Amberleaf. When the Andegat colonizers first arrived at around 1760, it had been populated by a variety of Insect-Folk civilizations, who all had mixed relations with each other. Throughout the decades Amberleaf had fought a bloody campaign to establish itself. By 1850 Amberleaf had broken and killed off most native civilizations, the rest fled into the Deepwoods, the mountains, or other remote areas and last strongholds. Throughout 1850 to 1950 Amberleaf was more occupied with internal conflicts, and only occasionally conquered the last holdouts. The Deepwoods in southern Amberleaf had remained mostly unconquered, due to its unmanageable nature. It was a rather anomalous forest. There were always plans to finally clean up the area of the last enemies of Amberleaf, but internal political issues and separatist wars had always meant Amberleaf would procrastinate on that front. And suddenly it was 1950, things began to change. Social Progressives started coming along. And with forming relations overseas, genocide was slowly no longer be something prideful but scandalous. It was hoped the natives in the Deepwoods would just slowly succumb to themselves. They had mostly been forgotten about. Only an ghost of the past.

But in recent years, with Canton Greenside's slow expansion into the Deepwoods from the south, it was regularly met with a settlement of Amberleaf's old enemies. There was not really a protocol on how to deal with this. That is false. There was an archaic protocol, that detailed exactly on how to deal with this, and what to do with the corpses afterwards. But it wasn't something viable for modern Amberleaf. Luckily, Greenside was not a Canton with a liking for modernity. It had very much been clinging to the past as much as it could. Not wanting contend with these foreigners, Greenside went a compromise to just drive them out, forcing them further north, but keeping the affairs out of the public's attention. Now the communities were starting to spill out in the north of the Deepwoods, making it the problem of Canton Deepest.

Panicking the Ministry started contacting the rebellious Canton of Greenside, to perhaps stop trying to make everything worse again for a change. The Ministry really did not want this affair to become a public topic. They were uncertain to what it would have on today's Amberlevian societal landscape. In these modern times, it took not long for the affair to spread into the public view, and from it, it would spread to the international one. Operation Bury-the-Past seemed now on the path to disastrous failure.

The Naacal Islands
Previously: Members of the Senzo Isan landed on the Islands during a seemingly Supernatural Storm and encountered the paranormal. Later, utilizing the Tome of Cxurun near the point closest to the deepest planetary trench, they tried to raise a being from it. The being compelled the ritual leader, an operative from Project Stargate, to kill all the nearby SI members, and 2 MIBs, seven islanders, had also been sacrificed in the ritual. The shooting and grotesque sacrificial ritual were caught on camera, and noises from the creature had been recorded by hydrophones meant to listen for submarines.

The disappearance of 7 islanders had caused some animosity. Otyken dismissed it as them having been washed away in the storm or a mudslide, but the rain had continued to fall. Weather radar indicated a cyclone was brewing, and the sun had become a rare sight from the thick swirling clouds. The cursed tome of Cxurun was afflicting this spirituality-attuned place, casting a stark contrast between the Technate and the Naacali islands. The videos indicated that the SI had gotten close to raising a Star-Spawn from death-like slumber, and another far greater attempt would be made to succeed with proper security measures.

A village near the eastern coast was selected to harvest sacrifices; they knew this might end the peaceful relationship with the islanders. However, to them, the prospect of a Star-Spawn being raised far exceeded the islanders' feelings in importance. What they needed was an edge to destroy their adversary across the sea. A platoon of SI members equipped themselves with black ponchos and raincoats because the islanders didn't have NVG; the well-funded force had all NVG, Holographics, Lasers, Suppressors and equipment for abducting the islanders for the mission. A convoy of High mobility transporters and prisoner transports went through the jungle on a flooded, muddied road and then disembarked. It was late at night, down pouring, and the jungle was surprisingly silent other than the howling wind and patter of rain. The locals had no idea as the 50 soldiers approached the village, which was suffering from the rain; they estimated upwards of 300 people living here and were to gather at least a hundred of them alive to be taken to the ritual sight; the rest were disposable. The team would establish positions to cut off exits, and then squadrons would move in to secure the buildings, kicking down doors and dragging them out of bed, kicking and screaming with lots of yelling. To them, who had not seen such technology, it was like demons with glowing green eyes. Those who resisted or tried to bear weapons against the invaders received a trio of bullets to the chest or were brutally beaten. Those for sacrifice were zip ties and put at the center of town; as the raid continued, those that fled would be easily spotted by night vision-wielding troops and shot. Arrested subjects would be taken to the prisoner transport, which was to run laps to cages kept on the coast nearer to the ritual site with a few extras in case some tried to flee later or died. Once they had secured the one hundred sacrifices, the commander signalled, and the rest of them were gunned down and would be cleaned up tomorrow morning. The SI, after the last prisoner transport had concluded, would head back into the jungle; a few had been left behind to make sure none shot had gotten back up. The weight of the atrocities set in as an officer monitored them, stabbing half corpses with bayonets as there could be no witnesses, the officer holding a handgun with his rifle slung.

The ritual site this time was massive; the Stargate Operator that controlled the ritual no longer had a firearm; they wouldn't make that mistake again; they had a large group of SI members to assist and a MIB observer who would film the ordeal again all of which with oceanic occult masks and their ponchos stained with profane symbols. Their hands, already stained with the blood of hundreds, would prepare the ritual and the butchering implements; the water would become red, and the Star-Spawn shall awaken from death-like slumber compelled to the surface. The Stargate Operator had his work cut out for him and, with the Tome of Cxurun, would initiate the ritual with the incantations and essential salts and anoint the butchering altar partially submerged in the sea. The operator would chant and grab the butchering effects and call the first sacrifice who was dragged to the alter and butchered. This process would continue through hours of chants, invocation and blood-curdling screams. The water had become red, and upon the seventh sacrifice, the same beam of light shot up from the darkest depths of the oceanic trench. The shadow soon appeared in the water, once again illuminated by the occasional lighting strike; the Star-Spawn asked for more, and the butchering continued at an industrial pace; the soldiers had special training to resist the paranormal influence but were going hysterical and mad but kept bringing the sacrifices some had gone insane and opted to shoot their brains out the guilt of their atrocities meshing with the prospect of things unfathomable. Upon the last sacrifice being made and the final rites recited, the surface temperature of the water had broken, and the creature rose.

...

"Do not call up that which you cannot put down."

The Star-Spawn rose from the water near the cost It was monstrously large; it had rubbery flesh made of something 'other,' an octopoid face, taloned claws, wings like a dragon, and twelve golden eyes; it was at least nine and a half meters tall, some had been enthralled and walked into the blood water while others bowed down in praise. The conductor of the ritual stood upon the anointed altar whose glyphs glowed brightly now. The conductor compelled the unknowable creature to destroy their enemies; this was met with similar apocalyptic visions of a familiar city burning, the sky falling, and the citizenry gone mad, eating and defiling one another as the world ended. The creature outstretched its wings and flew across the ocean to someplace. They checked the radar, but the monstrosity did not appear on it, so they did not know its direction. The blue beam in the ocean had also disappeared. A second message was recorded on the hydrophones that could be overlayed with the previous one to become comprehensible. Now, they had hoped it was flying to attack Couvin, but Somehow, they believed this was unlikely; those that had wandered into the water were suspended into the air by an unseen force and eviscerated into a cloud of gore.

RP | A Ville, a Vilight, and a Vilification

At the current day, a total of 150’000 Amberlevian immigrants are living in Greater Confederation of Switzerland. Many have made their home in concentrated areas near the Amberlevian embassies, around which, like enclaves, they have built themselves villages and towns, the Ambervilles. The largest Amberville lies in Zürich and has been given the name Azzerie. With a population of 23’000 it has been given the size classification of Median Burg.

Azzerie was a curious place. It carried much of the Amberlevian-style architecture. Organic and asymmetric, but still with pattern behind it, just one that always established a certain irregularity. The construction was all interconnected; bridges, halls, walls; making it often impossible to classify the architecture into separate buildings. Different types of stone were a very popular choice of material, and also wooden constructions could occasionally be seen. The Burg wasn’t built for cars, a rarity in Amberleaf, but had been mindfully constructed to take trains into consideration.

With the youth of Azzerie and the ever-new waves of migrants, it was under constant construction and rebuilding. The unfinished look was an iconic design. Amberlevian architecture was meant to shift and grow over time. When viewing the Burg from a distance in a sped-up timeframe, it almost seemed alive, moving and growing. In certain areas a large stone wall has been partially erected around Azzerie, yet it was always mountable from both sides. The wall gave a good view over the buzzling underneath, and occasionally contained housings, restaurants, and on one occasion even served as a passage for a railroad.

Yet one would only witness the surface of Azzerie. The Andegat were notorious for their underground living space. It was still in its initial phase, but the Andegat had already started digging. A web of tunnels and caverns, with hearts and living spaces, very useful for the more wintery days.

Yet while Azzerie was a vessel for much of Amberlevian culture, it is important to note that Azzerie culture was very distinct from the Amberlevian mainland’s. As a conformist nation, Amberleaf could be a straining place for the more deviant folk. Emigration was a prospect that appealed more to the deviant, the individualistic, and the progressive, the ones who sought the new, to seek a place not under the omnipresent conformist gaze. In large parts were overrepresented were Drones, making 12% of emigrants, despite being only 3% of population.

-

Under the emigrants was also the current Vilight of Amberleaf, Feylar, ceremonial head of state, a role traditionally being held by a Drone. With his falling out with the Amber Ministry, he had been fading out of the spotlight. Taking more control over his live, he had been drawn to the outside world. He first made a small visit to Baltocarpathia, visiting the capital of the new republic, before travelling to Azzerie.

Feylar liked Azzerie. It carried all the homely vibes that kept him in his comfort zone. But this was, legally speaking, not their land. There was no Amberlevian authority. A strangely liberating thought.

Feylar spent his days visiting. Not visiting anything in particular, just visiting in general, both inside and outside Azzerie. He bought Swiss clock. He liked the way it ticked. He went to a restaurant on the Azzerie Western Wall, one that was frequented by local Swiss. It was hosted mainly by Drones. Their charismatic and competitive nature had enabled them to easier adapt to the capitalist system. The restaurant served a few Amberlevian options, but most of the menu was foreign to Feylar. There was a black drink that pierced the mouth when drunk. There was baked bread with cheese and tomatoes and some other stuff. It was likely not designed for Andegat mouths, given with the mess it made with Feylar’s mandibles, but it nonetheless seemed strangely popular with his kin.

What Feylar had noticed during his stay, was a rather less stuck-up way the Drones and Workers in Azzerie interacted with each other. Being a Drone seemed less weird here and being a Worker less normal. The idea that being female was the norm didn’t hold up in a nation that is 50% male, instead of 3%. Romance between Drones and Workers was not the controversy it was back home.

Adult Queens were absent, but Princesses were present. Feylar suspected many of them to be “Eternal Princesses”, ones that medically kept themselves from maturing, and so retained their flight. While not reaching their full, they still towered at 2 meters or more, and thus were easily discerned from the smaller and slimmer Drones.

While witnessing the construction of a new section in Azzerie, one intended for a large gardening space, Feylar had met Eriart, a Worker of the larger variety. She played a minor role in the coordination committee for the project, being responsible for the tiny waterways between the gardening plots. Feylar liked the idea of having a garden, he had never managed one. He often came back to the Azzerie Gardens to watch the progress of the construction. Whenever Feylar discovered a new food he liked, he would often bring it to the Gardens to excitingly present to Eriart.

-

When the rumors started reaching home that the Vilight had engaged in a relationship with a Worker, it did upset some sentiments. The Ministry had intentionally tried to shape the role of Vilight to be as inoffensive as possible. Many were of the opinion the Villight being the Amberlevian representative had a duty to keep dignity and ought not to indulge in controversial behavior.

The Conservatives were mad. The recent decades had marked a slow decline in their influence, and this event was just another step in the “Decline of Amberlevian Decency”. They were of the firm opinion that the Swiss had corrupted poor Feylar’s mind with their outright silly way to talk. The Social Progressives responded by throwing fondue at the Conservative speaker in the Parliament.

Amberleaf had entered a certain void of meaning. Faced with so many changes to the view of the world it very much lacked a direction. There was a growing discontent among a sizable chunk of the population who felt that Amberleaf had lost its meaning and values and purpose and general sense of existence. Pearl, the Isolationist Conservative party had long been the go-to for these people, but Pearl had failed to adapt and to deliver a renewed purpose.

Next to Pearl had been growing two different Conservative parties. Greenleaf was the xenophobic environmentalist druidic party who would like to go back to a better time where the modernity hadn’t corrupted the youth, who talked all weird slang now and were always on their phone. Candlewick was the party who retained all the spiritual and religious values who were very present in the past. Modern Amberleaf had left much of the spirituality in behind, and under the Technocrats had been moved under a more materialistic mindset. The dissolutioned had slowly been migrating to Candlewick, who had proven very good at adapting to modernity, and giving them back a sense of meaning. The party Candlewick seemed to be in a state of growth.

What all these three parties had in common was that they disliked the Vilight’s current affair, and they openly complained so. Candlewick had taken the opportunity to use this event to organize grand protests and strikes throughout the nation, with the purpose of demonstrating against the Technocrats in general.

The extent of the reaction took the Ministry off guard. The Amber Ministry was very much a rather technocratic institution, which appointed its own ministers and had strict conditions of education for ministerism. To avoid becoming themselves the target of ire, they made a declaration removing Feylar from the position of Vilight. It didn’t really do much in damage-control, as this was about something bigger than Feylar. He had just been a spark to ignite all the fuel which had been gathering for a while.

Under the ruling coalition, there had been massive changes in the areas of education and politics, all having taken on a Technocratic philosophy. Many had long been discontented with this seeming takeover of culture and democracy by a small minority of self-proclaimed intellectuals. The protests were very much the katharsis for many of these people. Universities and government buildings were heavily vandalized. In certain extreme cases there had been held demonstrative book-burnings of works of Technocratic rhetoric. It was done in the name of democracy and art and meaning and spirituality and anti-elitism.

She cleverly uses her abilities to create chaos and evade capture, but her freedom is short-lived. The town is locked down, communications are jammed, and she becomes the focus of an intense manhunt. N°5, now rapidly recovered from a gunshot wound inflicted by N°4, joins the search. N°4's fate is left uncertain as she vanishes into the night, with the town under strict surveillance and false information spread to the public to cover up the incident.

A Breach of Contract part II
Date: 2008

For weeks, N°4 had deftly evaded capture, her senses finely attuned to the drones and military presence that now blanketed the town. The ceaseless patrol of black vehicles and helicopters cast a shadow over her every move, as she navigated the desolate streets where trust was a currency few could afford. With the city locked down, her chances of escape dwindled with each passing day. One fateful night, a spotlight cut through the darkness, pinning her in an alleyway. From the belly of a black chopper, a sniper took aim, only to be yanked from his perch by an invisible force, his body meeting the ground with a sickening thud. The ensuing sirens shattered the night's calm, a grim herald of her compromised position.

The response was swift; cars barricaded the street, teams poured out, and the unmarked paramilitary forces took positions, their weapons drawn and floodlights blinding. Among them, N°5 approached, flanked by an MIB agent, demanding her surrender and accountability for the rift. But N°4 stood resolute, her will to fight undimmed. She summoned a surge of psychic energy, the force of which fractured the very concrete beneath her feet, sending soldiers sprawling. Gunfire erupted, bullets suspended mid-air or veering off course, but her mental fortitude began to wane. N°5 responded by extending a hand and smashing N°4 against a building despite her best resistance with bone crushing force but she was preparing to attack again.

N°5, granted lethal authority by a silent nod from the MIB, launched an assault. N°4's resistance was fierce, but the impact against the building's wall deminshed her ability to respond. As she lay broken, N°5's retaliation was swift and brutal. Despite her efforts to fend off the soldiers, the combined force of bullets and N°5's power was overwhelming. In a gruesome display N°5 levitated her up into the air with outstretched hands, her arm and leg torn off in a greusome display of psychic power, leaving her to collapse in a pool of her own lifeblood writhing in agony.

As consciousness faded, the last thing N°4 saw were the boots of her MIB executioner and the flash of a gun barrel. The shot rang out, and darkness claimed her.

The aftermath was a ruthless cover-up. Witnesses were shot, evidence destroyed. By dawn, the incident was erased from history, save for the scars etched into the asphalt and concrete a reminder to the night's horrors. People were left to pick up the pieces of their lives with their loved ones now dead from seeing something they shouldn't have.

It all falls down
Date: 2009

With no viable subjects left to seal the rift, Subject N°5's valiant effort fell short. The summer of 2009 witnessed an unprecedented acceleration in vine growth, breaching containment and invading adjacent spaces. These relentless vines carved extensive tunnels, their existence only revealed by GPR scans that uncovered their silent spread beyond the facility's confines, inciting widespread panic and necessitating a prolonged quarantine. Disaster struck when the rift room's surveillance failed, signaling an intrusion. The reinforced steel door, meant to withstand the unthinkable, was grotesquely twisted open by unseen force, its formidable strength no match for what lay beyond. Alarms blared as a deluge of creatures surged from the rift, carving a path through the vines and into the labyrinthine tunnels and the heart of the facility itself. Despite the guards' swift response, sealing off sections in a desperate bid for containment, the onslaught was relentless. With chilling precision and intent, the creatures decimated the defense line. In the aftermath, the facility stood abandoned, its perimeter reinforced, now under the vigilant watch of the national guard. Staff and subjects were swiftly evacuated by helicopter, leaving behind a facility overrun by the otherworldly. The rift had expanded monstrously, swallowing floors and leaving a gaping maw in its wake. Prior to the breach, there had been whispers of N°1's presence, but such murmurs were dismissed as mere superstition. Specialized kill teams were deployed, their mission: to eradicate the escaped horrors and maintain the wide array of trail cams. A barrage of bombs, flames, and toxic gases became the weapons of choice against the ceaseless incursion. Yet, the fall of the facility was nothing short of a massacre, claiming over 500 lives. What remained was a desolate husk, its skeletal frame of broken glass and fractured concrete a reminder of the chaos. Even the towering radio mast wasn't spared, now ensnared by the encroaching vines.

What Cannot be Undone: Epilogue
Date:2010
The grass had become a grey color from the 'radiation' and monsters became more prominent the national guard was forced to retreat from the facility grounds and Stange motes and spores floated around, creating an unsettling haze. The trees had become gnarled and blackened the vines had continued to spread and strange plants and flowers had bloomed in the region which was being terraformed by the rift. They feared that this would happen to the entire planet a mass terraforming from a realm unknown. Unless they could find a way to contain it and undo the devastation. More subjects for Stargate had been recruited and trained and a huge recruitment drive for the Senzo Isan was undertaken to bolster their numbers. Several square kilometers had already been terraformed and the rate at which is grows increases exponentially.

REPUBLIC OF NONADIA

    FEBRUARY 2012

      ~ [ BENEFITS OF INDUSTRY ] ~
      The Citizens Republic of Rykensvik

The meeting in Anslo between Nonadia and Rykensvik would be a very successful one, as the nations agreed to establish a free trade agreement and ease the process of travel. Nonadian agricultural companies have begun to export their technology and machinery in the hope of making the Vikans self-dependent for food and crops. Both governments found themselves having very similar international interests and President Furman has expressed an aspiration to continue working with the Vikans on a worldwide scale. Nonadian airports and air corporations have also begun to strike partnerships with the renowned air industry of Rykensvik to improve the sky travel capabilities of Nonadia.

The 🐜 Colony 🐜 of Amberleaf

The Nonadian government would soon later reach out to the Colony of Amberleaf in the far east, hoping to accomplish closer relations with the Phoenix Blossom and educate themselves on the politics of the Colony. Listening ears had told President Furman that Amberleaf was dealing with domestic issues and Nonadia wished to establish itself to the Amberlevians and hopefully, Nonadia could steer them in the 'right' direction. It also conveniently comes as Amberlevian relations with the Technate and specifically Honalulu had worsened. Nonadia was hoping to find a common interest that was linked with the interest of the Colony.

      ((1 Nonadian Valer = .35 USD))

The Nonadian parliament has announced an incredible 121.1 million Ꝟ will be spent on expanding high speed rail on the western seaboard of Nonadia, dubbed the "Nonarail' or officially the 'Nonadian High Speed Rail Act.' The Nonadian Transportation Agency has debuted the new routes that have undergone environmental checks and will begin construction shortly. The current routes would connect most of Metro Monrovia to Charlile and it would shorten a previously 6-7 hour trip to only 4 hours. Along with these new routes, the NTA has debuted new passenger trains that would be able to reach a top speed of 140 mph with pantographs that would deliver power to the train straight from the track's overhead. This project would also create hundreds of thousands of jobs for Nonadians and would alleviate pressure from the crumbling Nonadian highways.

The origins of the Nonadian High Speed Rail Act were great. It passed through Parliament with an astounding 364-36 vote in the Federal Chamber, with most opposition coming from conservatives concerned with rising inflation in Nonadia as the nation spends more and more on modernizing itself. The cost, according to Parliament, will be necessary, and that the high speed rail would pay for itself with new jobs and opportunities for citizens of Nonadia. Even with taxes rising and consumer products becoming more expensive, these issues will be pushed aside until Nonadia can bring itself and its economy onto the global stage. It is part of a greater debate on if the cost of modernization is too high, if the government should be taking the process slower and not rushing to become a rich and developed nation. Whether Parliament's expectations are realistic, what is known is that this monumental bill will provide a safer, faster, and much more reliable option for Nonadians to travel the nation.

The NTA also calls upon the neighboring nations of Sodor and Laurentiea to interconnect their rail lines with Nonadia's, and improve the economic bonds between themselves. With the Vesperian Union providing easier visa options and free travel between member states, it could potentially greatly increase the amount of tourism and inter-alliance business. Cargo rail lines would also be connected if this offer was accepted, allowing all types of train travel to be conducted between borders. It would also increase safety regulations and provide tax incentives for train corporations to follow these regulations

~ [ FURMAN WARNS LAURENTIEA TO TREAD CAREFULLY ] ~
      The Confederacy of Laurentiea
      The Commonwealth of Neuerstaat

The Nonadian government is disheartened by Laurentiea establishing an embassy and non-aggression pact with Honalulu, who's interests oppose greater Vesperian interests. President Furman has advocated to King Wilhelm to cease any attempts at improving relations with the Technate, saying that he has abused the trust of Nonadia and the SDC by going against the wishes of the alliance's government. The waters that Wilhelm is treading are very dangerous and he risks separating himself from Vesperia by alienating himself from other Vesperian leaders. Furman also contacts the Neuerstaater Volksparlament and requests that they join Nonadia in efforts to reel Laurentiea and Wilhelm in from the Technate's grasp.
