RP - PROJECT MX

It is undeniable that the past peace the world has enjoyed has slowly but steadily been chipped away by the hard work of insurgents, terrorists and violent criminals, in such uncertain times, it may soon fall upon Vesperia and the VU to handle affairs abroad.

Facing unusual circumstances in the modern naval scene, it may be in order for the navies of Vesperia to develop some form of proven deterrent against any malevolent foreign adversaries.
Starting off as an initial idea from the RA, a purposal would soon arrive at the Volksparlament, in order to cooperate with the VU in order to manufacture some form of Missile cruiser, though with more capabilities and larger in size, essentially just a scaled up cruiser, or battlecruiser maybe.

As the nation's Auverns Class Missile cruiser seems to grow more outdated by the day, it soon may be time for a adequate replacement. An invitation would be sent outwards towards Eldamar in order to cooperate on the creation of a new type of ship for Vesperia, with greater capabilities, defense systems and range compared to a frigate or destroyer. The project, lacking an official name, would simply be nicknamed, MX.

RP - Operation Südwind

(Roughly somewhere back in Early 2017)
It is inevitable that Neuerstaater involvement in Laurentiea would grow. With other nations in the VU throwing their hat into the ring, a joint operation would be carried out with the aid of units from the Republic of Gora.
Targeting the Southeast pocket, which began in Aarau and Winterthur and gradually spread outwards like a infection, the invasion would come to surround Apehwvijk. Though the swift action of Arnolle units would be able to secure and prevent Verzig and Ebreichfurt's fall to the greyshirts.

Before the operation would begin, Neuerstaater units would gather in the northern front (of the southeast pocket), while Goran units would approach from the south (as in, the sea), with the northern units heading southwards and seizing the major cities while naval units would conduct naval landings outside of major populated areas in order to meet up with them too in the cities, conducting a sort of pincer movement.

Operation Südwind is a partial success. Though with rebel forces in the region severely weakened with major advances, it is expected they would be unable to carry out any significant operations until much later on. It is most likely further campaigns will be carried out to ensure the destruction of the pocket.

RP - Operation Hravalapattë

(Set in June 2017)
With Eldamar's involvement into the Laurentiean Spring, a large amount of units have amassed at the southern border with Laurentiea.
Another operation would soon be carried out, led primarily by the Eldamaris, due to their significantly larger troop numbers. Named Hravalapattë, the attack will feature several (Classified) Eldamari units, striking from the North (Kanchester, Biringham) against the Rebel holdout in the north (Lancaster, Foxhampton, Vonerlin), while Neuerstaater units (also classified) would strike from the south (Aarlecht, Neunich), another pincer movement in order to stretch the limited supplies present in rebel hands in the holdout to ensure a successful operation.

Another partially successful operation, though many gains were seen, especially in the north, with it's extreme proximity to the July elections, the outcome of this operation is certain to effect election results.

RP - RLW Strikes again

Recently, it has become evident that the Commonwealth of Sodor and Seljaryssk has taken the opportunity within Vesperia and the VU's temporary inability to act decisively to obtain leverage and influence within the continent.
With Sodor's Missa-Dei attempting a acquisition of crucial instruments within Neuerstaat's military-industrial complex, the nation's RLW (Regelungsausschuss für Lautere Wirtschaftspraktiken or Regulatory Committee for Fair Economic Practice) has decisively stepped in to bar further talks of acquisitions, preventing corporations like Kuda Industries and Mauerstahl from falling under foreign control and interests, as these industries manufacture crucial components the nation's military branches require to operate. Though Hatheny AG's acquisition by Arcelor would not be blocked due to it operating in a entirely different field, allowing for it's acquisition by Sodor(ish? idk) corporations.
(OOC: also to specify, Wächterstadt's waterfront is mainly along it's river, since the city lies slightly inland, any waterfront would be within Amden or Gavle instead of Wächterstadt itself, though im running under the assumption the building is being built within Stadtzentrum where skyscrapers are common, instead of anywhere surrounding the city where regulations are stricter on highrises over a specific height)
With Sodor's KTTTS also buying up percentages in crucial fossil fuel extractors like Aubel or Fascal, the RLW would see it's workload grow significantly as the nation's economic activities may soon come under fire from foreign interests.

RP - 2017 Elections

Finally arriving in July, the nation's formal elections would now begin.
With the commonwealth now accepting online voting (the system is complicated but ensures there wont be fraudulent activity, so some decide to vote in person), anticipation and predictions for this year's election have gone on as usual, with an expected SDP (Sozialdemokratische Partei) majority victory as seen before in 2012.

After two rounds of elections, with the results tabulated and confirmed, the results would be as follows :

Neuerstaat Marschieren Vorwärts - 39.5% (341 seats)
Konservative Liga von Neuerstaat - 19.7%(170 seats)

With the change of majority in the Volksparlament, the NMV has now come to power, though their influence on the past administration was definitely not negligible, it may be soon that some minor changes to Neuerstaat's internal and foreign policy be seen, though since the SDP and NMV still see rather eye to eye on a large amount of issues, it is unlikely any significant change would be seen soon.
Though with the KLN rising in popularity, as seen before in the 2012 elections, and minor growth in popularity of extremist factions like the VdA and AW, analysts have been slightly worried with the rise in popularity of such extremist ideologies, though, admittedly, it seems the media has cared for such issues as not much of a big deal has been made of it.

No major issues seem to have arisen as a result of the electronic voting system either, it's bureaucratic nature was certainly slightly annoying but many seemed to not mind it if it ensured democratic processes be upheld. With this election's rather standard turnout, it seems stability in Neuerstaat has not been impacted much by the world's increasing instability, nor has it been impacted by nearby civil wars.

RP - Reassignment of Duties Bill

(2016)
Submitted earlier in the year, the 2016 Vesperian Union Reassignment of Duties bill has been officially passed with a 75% approval rate in the Vesperian parliament, and is expected to be fully implemented by 2020.
The bill will significantly empower the Vesperian Union and it's instruments of power and agencies in order to ensure democracy and liberty within Vesperia, with significant challenges facing the union, such a bill has undoubtedly firmly ensured the union's stability and security in such uncertain times.
By empowering existing agencies and institutions and creating several new ones, the VU would now be far more powerful in it's legislative and diplomatic activity, allowing for it to act as a pillar of stability in Vesperia in order to maintain civility and accountability for actions of the various governments in Vesperia.

RP: The Departed

Toliara wasn't exactly the kind of place one would expect to launch a military conflict without reason. The city, if not prosperous, at the least existed in its own little microcosm. But, as the Revolutionary People's Front advanced, that was exactly what happened. Columns of refugees advanced ahead of the advancing red forces, and the city slowed to a halt, even as civilian and soldier alike braced for the impenetrable struggle.

A struggle which, for better or for worse, ended on the Cape of Masiaka, the headland south of the city, where the citizens of Toliara gathered, those who remained. Those who could fight had been dragged south, where fighting raged. But tonight, tonight is the time for remembrance.

As for the rest, everyone who could reach the shoreline was there. Some are old men and women, faces lined and grey. Children in groups, wreaths of seaweed and paper flowers woven. Some stand with canes, crutches, arms in slings, bandages wrapped. All that's left, if also many injured and caretakers unable to make the trip down the beach.

The rest, dead. Dead lying on the stacked pyres, driftwood, bedding, anything else that can stand. Braided ropes hanging between, dripping the oil they were soaked in, decorated with glass. The dead lie, wrapped in cloth or not, surrounded by possessions to take their last voyage.

Flaming torches in hand, as the varied men and women, boys and girls, turn as one to look at the old man behind them, hand still grasping a flaming torch as his cane taps a rhythm. Stepping forth to pick each pyre and light it, let the fire lap up.

"Sylvie Rasalama"

The woman in charge of the only state run orphanage in Toliara, in Marovoay. Her charges herded out the door, even as she stayed behind, old Allessian bolt action rifle in one hand and her trusted cast-iron pan in the other. She lasted an hour at the door before Marovoanise forces arrived, and another two days before slipping away.

Every one of her charges survived.

"Cyril Ratsifa"

The deputy commander of the base at Talassa, a man who'd been an outspoken leftist his entire life, had sided with the RPF until he hadn't. It was the massacre at Samba, on the outskirts of the city, that broke him. The forces he'd declared loyalty to doing all this, and for what? To threaten an isolated town.

So he'd made his play. Because 20 years at Talassa had allowed him to get around in the city. To date Hoavy's daughter for a time, and to eat local foods by the bucket, and joke and argue with the weavers and sailors and deckhands until his southern accent was barely audible beneath the local patois.

He'd gone to the Voavy household that night, with a list of two dozen soldiers, one watch detail, who could be counted to sit on their hands and let what would happen, happen.

It didn't save most of them. It didn't save Ratsifa. But it did allow them to retake the armoury two days into the battle of Toliara.

"Sue Fatah."

The list went on, noticeably smaller bodies stacked like piles of ill-located lumber. Those children who'd run messages, or carried ammunition, or just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Betsy Muller."

Allessian settlers, Marovoanise natives, the occasional other. Lying on the pyres. Hoavy's voice almost cracks as he goes down the lists, going down the names.

"Ony Randrianantoanina"

Up to those who'd fought, proper. Almost eight thousand here, stacked on pile after pile of tinder. Those who'd trained, and those who'd only fought because it was them under threat. They'd charged, with gun and club alike. They'd thrown rocks and staged traps. They'd won the city, block by block, road by road, tarmac inch at a time. Burned what they couldn't take. Killed so many of the enemy.

Those within had made the city a bar brawl, allied themselves with every freedom loving person in the city, and won. Truly won.

And now the tide runs up the beach further, and Hoavy has more names to read. Housewives and soldiers, beggars and shopkeepers, orphans and mechanics, children and the elderly.

On to his own family, and by now his voice, always low, was almost gone. His compatriots crowded in, lending strength for one final task.

They lie on pyres of their own, in order of birth.

"Baggio Voavy."

Baggio's eyes are closed, the older man now at rest. He'd fought in the house to protect his granddaughter, and killed two intruders before the RPF soldiers had shot him down. The blood is washed from his tangled beard, bristling with a final failure. Hoavy wished he could tell Baggio that Eliane was safe now, but the man lay unknowing.

"Hantan Ranaivo. Anicent Voavy."

Two sisters in law, they'd perished in the city itself, working together even as the RPF forces moved towards the city itself, staying at their posts moving out documents even as the reds had entered the Parliament, before giving their president, and several advisors, precious moments to escape. They were found holding hands where they lay, hands now bound together with a green thread even in death.

"Toavina Voavy."

His face was covered, a good decision in the circumstances. He'd been with Baggio, killing half a dozen, dying with curses on his lips. Stabbed three dozen times at the least, body desecrated and hung at the gates of the family compound. It'd been hoped to demoralize those nearby, instead it enraged them.

Hoavy takes a deep breath, pushes tears away from her eyes. There's one raft, the hardest. To him, at least, the most unfair.

He wishes that someone else could, but Severin and Eliane were away in the north, recovering, and Faneva was with his regiment fighting the RPF. No, for him this final task was more than duty, an honour.

"Marc-Leon Voavy."

Marc-Leon and Hoavy, brothers elected back to back. It wasn't supposed to be like this, but it was, and Hoavy is weeping now, tears dripping onto withered face, even as he leans down and kisses the cold brow.

Steps back, and tosses the torch, and the rest of the gathering follows, arching across the sky in tongues of flame. Some fall short or long, others find their targets. The row of pyres goes up in a roar of light, spirits flying up in sparks and rhythms of smoke, the majority staying to watch until nowt but embers remains.

RP: Peace

With the recent driving of the Revolutionary Popular Front back to Mahalidriamanitra, the war would see most of the surviving factions interested in no furthering of the conflict, in order to secure their own hold. As such, a peace conference would be called in the Dzeian city of Ngolto, in order to hopefully foster an end to the war.

As such, delegates from each of the groups still active in major capacity would come. The Razafimahaleo government, the Revolutionary Popular Front, the Red Right Hand, the Northern Union, an Anticonase separatist grouping in the south, and groupings of the Marovoanise National Army reformed in the east as an independent 'State of Marovoay' would attend, with peace negotiations to take place over the next couple of months at a Sodorhvtisi'i rented conference hall.

Sealing the deal

‘Talks’ between Burwai and the Federation at the airbase were nothing more than bribing and exchanging deals with one another, eventually Burwai’s officials accepted the deal to join the Federation. Though whether they would survive from the hoard of socialist and alt-right fighters is another question.

Though as tensions between the Federation and the Federal Socialist Republic increases. There have been more unrests within the camps of the Federation responsible for manufacturing their arms and goods.

A successful intergration between the 2nd SFRH & the 2nd FRH. Though with the road bump being Amberleaf’s concerns of leftist sympathies to Otyken and Otyken’s support to SFRH.

It is unclear what Amberleaf means by ‘sympathetic’. As the SFRH has try to keep itself at a distance from Otyken as Honulite Technate while it has capitulated due to the bombing runs from Otyken and the constant attack from the far-right on all sides. The SFRH at its best had apathetic views to Otyken. As currently Otyken occupies Otarange and Sauvaki. If they were to get it back they’d need to remain neutral to some degree so as to avoid a 2nd war and again another capitulation of Honalulu to Otykenese Forces.

Though in regards to Technocratic Idols, both Otyken and Distanic have their brands of Technocracy that rely mostly on a Unitary Government, just one more democratic and less totalitarian than the other. To Honalulu a Unitary Government under Otyken will not work out, as farmers on the mainland suffered under Honalulu’s increasingly unitary government due to Otyken’s consolidation of power of the Technate through the Honulite Board, while the Urbanates and Islanders enjoyed benefits from the Unitary Government.

Thus said that Honalulu would experiment with its own brand of a Federal Technocratic Government. One that gives autonomy to Provinces and Territories but also gives equal powers to the national government.

The 2nd SFRH would only need monetary support, resources, soldiers to keep the peace, as well as humanitarian aid as former technocratic governments spiral into a downward trend. The SFRH would also insist that Absukians fight for their right to self-preserve themselves rather than bend to the corruptions of corporations, Otyken and other Imperialist foreigners, as well as the hatred that fuels the HNRG to seek vengeance till Honalulu goes extinct.

As for Otyken, the 2nd SFRH would accept humanitarian aid and weapon. Though took offense to the offer of Penal Brigades, as seeing them as nothing more than just another form of slavery that they don’t wish to be associated with alike the Federation who enslaved their own kin to make a profit out of the Proletariat’s misery.

REVENGE REVENGE REVENGE

With the fall of Aiponii and officially the Honulite Technocracy. Leaders and sympathizers of Otyken and the Honulite Techocracy would be executed en masses, about ~70,000 executed and the number climbing.

A new Emperor of Honalulu would be declared, Keanu Hamakua, a scientist from the Absukian Genome Project who leached off of the SAI and the Project itself to grow his knowledge and bioengineer himself to be a beast, though self-describes himself as the new generation of Absukians who shall seek vengance against the Otykenese Hoard for degrading their culture, history, society, and its people.

With aid from Lilitia he graciously accepted. The HNRG & ARGH went ballistics with the Otykenese Forces after securing a NAP with the Federation as they feared a two front war between the Socialists and the Alt-Right.

With weapon caches taken from the fallen Honulite Technate and stratifying the HNRG to different castes. The upper echelons enjoying powers and leverage over their subjects, the middle echelons being fed and supplied weapons by the bottom. And the bottom echelons having to produce little to themselves but give them to the top. A parasitic system that was driven through unwavering Ultranationalism, ethnocentrism, and vengeance against Otyken.

Rebels in Sauvaki would try to cross over to Otyken proper and attempt to massacre border villages as Otyken overstretched themselves. Child soldiers were on the table and brought them to the front to show their love for the mothers and fathers by shooting those Otyken Swines in the head and gutting their bodies up to make them barely human and show them on display on trails and roads. Ambushes became frequent and more ruthless. Civilian crafts full of bombs were driven to Otykenese warships to blow them to pieces, etc.

Otyken showed no mercy to their kin and so Honalulu will show none to theirs. No honor no mercy. If one bites back the other bites back harder and so the process repeats itself in a never ending cycle of hate and misery.

Federation-Republican War

Once a secret deal had been secured by the Federation between the HNRG & the Federation. The Federation struck first into the 2nd SFRH. trying to sink itself into the SFRH as deep as they can within the first week of January. Burwai joined in on the offensive by landing troops into Nuatarawa’s coasts and securing settlements there as well.

Though as January and February passed the advances became slower, the days hotter, and the soil wetter. Tanks got stuck in mud and soon frontline troops began to hear camps being raided by inside rebels of the SFRH breaking free workers from the harsh conditions of the labor camps they were put in by the Federation. Pockets of insurgents began to pop up in Federation proper and troops had to be diverted back to secure those areas. Burwai had similar issues with their vehicles and all especially in Mahaulu’s Territory. Soon a Major offensive by the 2nd SFRH would begin and the Federation would be have to make retreat after retreat. Burwai began trying to bring back its troops into the islands before they get encircled by the SFRH and preserve their forces as best as they can to fight on.

RP: Unlimited Victory for the Reds
Following the understandable dislike of Penal troops Otyken just changed the patches on the Penal brigades and sent them in anyways, their sentences waived and they were added to the Remnant 1st JCD Expeditionary Corps and they sent in plenty of regulars and equipment to make it plenty believable. The Otyken government kept shipping humanitarian aid and weapons to 2nd SFRH. The JCAF maintained their routine bombings, sorties and invasion of airspace across the country. The sea had become surprisingly intense with losses of Corvettes, Frigates, Gunboats and various other smaller vessels which had command furious because they were supposed to be slaughtering insurgents not being hit by cruise missiles, even with the GPS exploit and bombers it was a cost they simply couldn't bare with the war in Brennus ongoing and the economy in utter shambles, even lunatic suicide bombers had tried to attack the vessels, normally only to success against smaller craft which didn't have computerized 75mm guns.

Otarange & Marina
The Mountain Brigade had months of horror up there and conscripts were being funneled in to pad their numbers, often used as sacrificial lambs to reveal positions to pepper with airbursts and gunfire, progress was slow. Around the province they had bombed many targets and planted ludicrous quantities of landmines, even Otyken was concerned about the quantity of bombies laying around and the wildfires they had started. Meanwhile down south at Marina the Division was still converging on the city, the Airforce and Artillery barrages had basically levelled and burned out the city, but it refused to break and led to attentional engagements in the ruins as thet breached it. Absukians in huge quantities fled the destruction, the JCD had let them go but any caught with weapons were shot on sight. The sight was grim and violent and likely wouldn't stop, rumors had gotten out that they would be using what was left of Marina as a staging ground for Canbang and Rothenake, but at this point the ports were craters and everything was burnt out or highly damaged and roads flooded from blown up pipes.

The Embers Fade
While the Spirit Office had tried to snuff out the population in Sauvaki they were not making much progress as fast as they'd hoped especially compared to the mass killings going on elsewhere in the country particularly due to the sparsity of the region and SI being KIA. So the project was disbanded, they brought out new machinery to dispose of the evidence and any records and video they had capture was sent back home anything useful for forensics was shipped back to Otyken never been seen again, the areas bleached, salted and exploded in any order. The last remaining prisoners where shot dead in a mass cleansing and also shipped home in body bags to a mass grave in Otyken. Sauvaki was becoming a ghost town people had lived without infrastructure for months now, missile strikes, carpet bombings, and helicopter attacks had ground the last bits of civilization to dust and the rag tag fighters where hunted like animals in the final act of the genocide, once they were satisfied the SI were recalled to a rally point by High-Command;

Only to find the JAKATA had been positioned there also the Transhuman Arm of the Technate, who better to tie up loose ends without question, they gunned down several hundred of their own country men and blamed it on milita fighters. The spirit Officers were in an armored convoy heading for home when a CAS aircraft appeared with three attack helicopters and a transport helicopter, all from their own country, or so they believed until ATGM rockets and unguided rockets and bullets pelted their convoy tearing it up, the transport had soldiers rope down, the last thing the Spirit Officers seen was the fibril armor of JAKATA before being executed. What had happened here would not escape, thousands upon thousands and hundreds of Spirit Officers still lived and made it home, but a clear message was sent that disclosing what they had seen and done here would result in summary execution.

Even with the genocide ended the battle here was not done and the SI & JCD would continue to hunt down and neutralize insurgents, bomb everything, and plant landmines all over the place, crossing the border had undoubtedly struck a nerve the province was due to be wiped off the map soon enough, the C.C. had to shoot any Absukians on sight to prevent violence in Sulasin.

An invite was sent out to the nations of Rykensvik, Anheldac, Aquitinia, Cenagrad, and any other nations bordering the Magnumare Sea.
