Yeah. Its a stereotype. But not a white American stereotype, no. The stereotype is this: Americans who are homophobes and doesn't believe in abortion are, more often than not, racist and more often than not, a gunlover. And when coupled with all this, if he proclaims "I'm proud to belong to the 95% of the population, I'm saying this because 5% of the population is saying that they are proud to belong to the other side", he's most probably a white male.
No, I don't need help. That's a weak argument, too. Just because the majority is one way doesn't mean the minority is wrong. You might as well say "if being Christian is normal, then why are most people not Christian?"

Well first of all, people can be sexually attracted or “unattracted” to whatever they want to be, the idea that someone is less than just because they’re attracted to someone of the same sex is archaic, and frankly doesn’t belong in the modern world (or any world for that matter).
And LGBT+ people are a lot more common then you think. Generation after generation, people are becoming more open about their sexuality. Just read this:

Summary: More than 1 in 3 American youths said they weren’t exclusively Heterosexual, while in Britain, it was 52%. It’s not such a small minority anymore, and we can’t go around telling 33% of the younger population that they’re going to hell, and that they’re disgusting. It won’t accomplish anything, and it’s just wrong.
