[MOUNTAIN RANGE OF AZENYANISTAN - 1.4 MILLION YEARS AGO]

The hot and dry mountains of North Osea was just in the mix of it. People were making their way around. Cain and the spirit landed in the land. “Where are we?” he asked. The spirit looked around. The sun was beating down on both of them. They heard rocks being smashed in the background. “We are in Azenyanistan,” the spirit replied. Cain looked around and immediately located people. “Look down below!” he nudged at the spirit. They looked down at three people. They were walking looking for water.

“Who are they?” Cain asked. The spirit looked at the people down below. “They are nomads that came up from Deerfenland. They are the first of a new species,” he said. Cain looked down. “What species are they?” he asked. The spirit looked down below once more. It had seemed that he did that quite a bit recently. “They are part of the new species called Homo Sapiens,” he said.

They walked down. “I thought you said that this was the battle for Strangereal!” Cain said in heavy confusion. “Not every battle was fought with weapons. The battle for Strangereal is just a saying that scientists use to describe the struggle that we had with another Hominid species that lived here,” he said. Cain was having several questions.

“What was the species that lived here?” he asked,
“Homo Erectus,” the spirit replied,
“Who?” Cain inquired as he was confused,
“Homo Erectus was the longest-living hominid species that occupied these parts of Strangereal. They were heavily advanced for the time. However, they had many flaws that made them die out and Homo Sapiens survive,” the spirit said.

Before Cain could ask any questions, a rock fell next to them. They both made a run for it. Their nerves had not settled. A loud grunt was heard from the top of rocks. “Are those Homo Sapiens?” Cain asked. The spirit shook his head. “Those were Homo Erectus,” he said. Then, he saw a few of them run at an animal on the mountain. Swift moves were put by the Homo Erectus. They killed the animal in seconds before moving towards the incoming Homo Sapiens from down below. More Homo Sapiens turned up with spears. A loud roar was heard from the Homo Erectus. The spirit pulled the boy away.

“Let’s leave before this gets out of hand,” he said.
“Where to next?” Cain wondered,
“The Agricultural Revolution.”
