Greetings everyone!
It is time to announce the winners of the daily card lottery for 2020-04-06:
The winner of the endotarting lottery is Keeper of the North Umuyyad, who has been gifted season 2 legendary card Separatist Peoples.
The winner of the voting lottery is Keeper of the North Castle Federation, who has been gifted season 2 legendary card Yodle.
Congratulations to both of them!
If you also want to be considered for the daily card lottery, you should become a Keeper of the North. It doesn't take more than two minutes, and you have a chance to win any of Season 1's legendary cards! You can also exchange endorsements and vote on resolutions to increase your chances of winning.
~ Become a Keeper of the North to enter the lottery.
~ Exchange endorsements and vote on resolutions to increase your chances of winning.
~ Win legendary cards for your collection.
Participating in The North Pacific (TNP) WA Development Program (WADP) is a great way to increase the value of your trading card collection. Through our card lottery, every day, two lucky WA nations receive cards of legendary rarity as gift, completely free!
How often does the lottery take place?
We run two lotteries per day: one emphasizing exchanging endorsements (the endotarting lottery), and one emphasizing WA voting (the voting lottery). For each lotterry, we first determine the list of eligible WA nations. We then randomly draw a winner from each list. We finally randomly draw a legendary card to gift to each winner. The selected winners and cards are announced on the regional message board, and are also added to the list of winners below.
How do I become eligible for the lottery?
Here is what you need to do to enter each of the daily lotteries.
This sounds complicated, how do I find out how likely I am to win the lottery?
We have put together lists showing the chances each eligible nation has to win each of the daily lotteries. These lists update daily. If you are not listed, then that means that you are not eligible, which you can fix by becoming a Keeper of the North.
~ Probability of winning the voting card lottery.
Which cards can I win in the lottery?
Gift cards are selected at random with equal odds from among the list of all season 1 and season 2 legendary cards available in the deck of regional nation The Northern Light. This list includes some of the most valuable cards available.
It is the end of the month, why was there no lottery today?
On the last day of the month, the lottery winners are not selected randomly. Instead, legendary cards are gifted to the winners of three top-10 categories of the WADP monthly awards. Additionally, epic cards are gifted to the winners of all awards other than the New WA Member Shout-out. Therefore, competing for the WADP monthly awards provides you with another way to win multiple free cards: up to three legendaries and five epics per month!
Legendary gift cards are selected in the same way as for the daily lottery. Epic gift cards are selected randomly from among the epic cards available in the decks of nations Card farmer 1 to Card farmer 2500.
Where can I find the lottery results for previous days?
The results of the lottery are announced on The North Pacific's RMB. Below you can find a list of all previous results announcements. The winners and gifted cards are also tabulated in this Google spreadsheet.

Additionally, you can participate in the executive government and win free legendary and epic cards through the Executive Card Rewards. To maximize the number of cards you can win, you can join the Executive Staff, Cards Guild, and North Pacific Army.
Where do the legendary cards used in the lottery come from?
The government of The North Pacific operates nations Card farmer 1 to Card farmer 2500, and uses them to expand the card collection of regional nation The Northern Light. This includes the legendary cards used for the lottery.
Can I help?
If you would like to contribute, please feel free to donate cards you do not need to regional nation The Northern Light. We are particularly interested in cards of common rarity, of nations that have ceased to exist, and with eight or fewer owners. Thanks in advance for your cards!

I challenge anyone to a war to win Europe, choose your county to start off with, but you keep the tech and stats of your original nation.
Post self-deleted by Empress bush.
A different Europe btw.
I jolted up in shock, a loud boom hit the air, shaking the foundations of the barracks. The crew leader, Mium, could be heard bellowing out orders in his signature coarse voice. "MAGGOTS, GET UP! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!" More explosions could be heard in the air, with the sound of guns shooting filling up my ears as well. "Looks like it's battle time," I thought as I heaved myself off of my cot, grabbing my gun and helmet. I ran quickly outside, and saw folks from a rival crew firing on us, whilst we returned the favor in their direction.
"Deputy Piui, who is it? Kiwi? Lemon?" I asked, cautiously.
He narrowed his eyes, and quickly replied, "It's the Strawberry Crew," before slapping me and pointing in the direction of the fighting.
"NOW GO DO YOUR JOB!" he yelled out at me.
"Yessir," I said as I walked away.
I quickly responded to his orders, and ran over behind the skirmish, sniping a few members of the Strawberry Crew. We, the Pineapple Crew, had been at war with the Strawberry Crew for about a few months now, after one of their members murdered our former deputy. I continued shooting at them, ducking down to avoid a few shots aimed back at me. We valiantly fought as hard as we could, but our Leader had us fall back and abandon our base after they overpowered us.
The crew was ordered to retreat and regroup at our secondary post up north, where we still had firearms and supplies to carry out our operations. I, along with several crew members trudged along up the hills, weary and tired after the defeat. As we made our way up to the regrouping point, we were all entirely fatigued. Looking around at the others who had just arrived, and were arriving, the same sentiment was present with them, as well.
Our Leader made his way upon a table, and began to address the crew, trying to get our morale up. "We may have lost some of our men and supplies today, but we will continue fighting the Strawberry Bastards, no matter what," Mium announced after we regrouped at our secondary post. "We still have our spirits, and we have enough supplies here to stage a counter-attack." He continued, speaking about how we were all great, then finally dismissed us after a few minutes. Though his efforts were valiant, we all went to sleep weary and dismayed.
yes, we're a nation of chaos rn
The Chuck and Yohannes—NationStates Forum
Princess Elisabeth was suddenly tired, more tired than she’d ever been in all her life.
She knew that the fastest way to make a parliamentary submission was to e-mail the Speaker, then ring the Chancellor herself. Elisabeth had started to do that last week, when Felix, her assistant, told her that would be an inadvisable shortcut to make. For a while Elisabeth was undecided, but, when she received a letter from the Office of the Clerk of the Whole Committee about the ambassador of The Armed Republic of The Chuck, she quickly realised that, soon, she’d have to mentally prepare herself for yet another round of negotiations. A shortcut would need to be made, and expediency allowed, so that she could catch up on her paperwork. By midday she could see that, at this rate, she would not be ready to properly negotiate with the incoming Chuckian ambassador.
Felix was still trying to help her make a submission when, as if by chance, an official from the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade entered her office. He was old, probably in his seventies, like most senior ministerial advisers. Elisabeth studied him for a long moment and wondered if he was an important aide. “Your Royal Highness,” he said to Elisabeth. “My name is Joseph.” He looked at Felix for a moment. “I’m here to deliver an important Library Research Paper from the Office of the Speaker.”
“Well, my Parliamentary Service assistant is still here, but you can trust him with confidential information,” Elisabeth replied crisply. “Please, have a seat, sir.”
Joseph placed the paper on her desk and seated himself next to Felix. Elisabeth glanced at the report. It contained the latest quarterly economic outlook below the small Bank of Yohannes logo; and the highlighted sentence which said: Yohannesian industrial chemicals exporters currently pay roughly four hundred million dollars of annual duties in the Chuck!
“Four hundred million dollars of duties on our goods that enter the Armed Republic of the Chuck every year,” Joseph pointed out. “That’s too much, according to the Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade.”
Elisabeth said, “I agree—so, how can I help?”
Felix answered. “There were two precedents where we can interfere, well, without consulting Parliament. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Embassy and Consulate Programme of the previous Social Democratic Executive Council did that to protect our manufacturers in Hippostania, just before the World Assembly repealed Security Council Resolution # 107 Condemn Hippostania.”
Joseph gave Felix a rebuking look. Elisabeth smiled ruefully. Joseph looked as old as dear Grandpa. He was probably shocked by the impolite way that Felix had addressed her. Then she said flatly, “I will propose for a gradual reduction, very slow and over a period of six years, of the tariff rate against our industrial chemicals exporters in the Chuckland to five—firm, right down to five per cent.”
“But what can we offer them in return?” Joseph smiled. “Ma’am, we know that industrial manufacturing and the arms industry are the two largest industries in the Chuckland. The Bank of Yohannes has also forecast that our current demand for imports from the Chuckland will continue to increase over the next five years—though our trade with the Chuckland constitutes only a very small part of our international trade, this will not help the long-term movement of our merchandise terms of trade.”
Elisabeth said, “No time for this.”
Everyone paused as something outside the window caught their attention: a loud cheer broke out from outside. Elisabeth could see that the ambassador of the Chuck had arrived. She rose from her seat and walked to the door. “I will go down there to greet the Chuckian diplomat, myself.” She turned around and smiled at Joseph. “Thank you so much for your help, sir, I will give my submission to the Minister tomorrow morning.”
“I will be staying here too, then?” Felix asked hopefully.
“No,” Elisabeth chuckled. “You’re going down there with me. Let’s go.”
