TWP Message Board Rules

We ask you to follow these rules: most are common sense and basic courtesy.
Remember that the
NationStates Site Rules apply at all times too.

Residents of The West Pacific are shown more leniency in regards to these rules, especially new nations.

Visitors are also welcome, but they are expected to read the rules when entering and will be shown less leniency.

Breaking these rules can result in warning, suppression, or banjection; with immediate banjection for serious offenses.

Do's

Be careful with quotes: Replace their content with -snip- when dealing with long or rule-breaking posts, but do not alter their content in any other way.

Be patient: This is a worldwide game played in people's spare time. Understand that your post might not get a response in a timely fashion.

Respect everyone: Always be courteous and respectful to your fellow players. Flaming, baiting, trolling, harassment and the like result in banjection.

Stay calm: Discussion is encouraged, but if things get heated during a debate, step away from the keyboard.

Speak English: English is the language of NationStates, so please use it or provide an English translation for your fellow regionmates.

Take time to read: If you ask a question and are directed to look it up somewhere, look it up instead of demanding a full page answer.

Welcome new nations: New nations should have their greetings and queries answered in a friendly manner and be encouraged to get involved.

Don'ts

No advertising: This includes dispatches, factbooks, polls, events, and of course recruitment, unless permission is given by the Delegate.

No asking for endorsements: Endorse other nations to be endorsed back, instead of asking in the RMB.

No double posting: You should always use the Edit button at the bottom right of your post to add more information.

No feeding the trolls: Instead of giving attention, notify the Delegate and Guardians (you can ping in the Discord Server) and wait for them to act.

No inappropriate content: Examples include but are certainly not limited to homophobia, racism, sexism, fascism, nazism, and non-PG-13 content.

No puppetwanking: Don't use puppets to ban evade, like your own posts, or create false conversations.

No real life politics: We're here to have fun playing NationStates, not to get stressed in political discussions.

No roleplaying: We have dedicated roleplay areas in offsite platforms, you can read more in the Map & Roleplay dispatch.

No rules-lawyering: If you are unhappy with a Delegate or Guardian decision, telegram them instead of complaining in the RMB.

No spamming: Messages with meaningless content will be suppressed, with immediate banjection for accounts created for spam.

Remember, the Delegate and Guardians have final say on what is and isn't acceptable.

ok, I will read it and I will nor make the same mistake again

I don't really get sequel logic
You know that part where Rey runs towards Kylo's ship to jump over it or something stupid
Kylo could have just fired the lasers, but no...

And also palpatine being alive doesnt make sense at all
Didnt we see him get blown up

I am a Reylo shipper,, but the last film was horrible- it was so poor in script writing, and in an attempt to fan serve every type of fan, it just disappointed everyone from what i have seen

At least we have the mandalorian i suppose
Baby yoda is so cute

This is perfect. My half-sister has become a dancer in her retirement, and has won a number of regional and national competitions. She just sent me video and pictures of her latest stage performance. She is dressed as the Black Queen, and immediately it comes to mind....

"The Black Queen chants the funeral march,
The cracked brass bell will ring
To summon back The Fire Witch
In the Court of the Crimson King."

The Crimson King's sister is The Black Queen. Perfection. She danced to "Killer Queen" by Queen. She'll be 70 this year.

The 200 nation limit on the banlist is a result of Francos spain take over of The Pacific waaaaay back when.

There was no limit before that. Once upon a time I was exchanging telegrams with Great bight who had taken the TNP Delegacy in '04 after Ups rail. Both of which were better known in their NPO roles in The Pacific. Although Great Bight was also New people of TWP. Great Bight told me that he'd "held a feeder delegacy with only 17 endorsements" previously, thanks to there being no influence and no ban list limit.

Well, well, well you learn something new every day. Never knew there was a 200 nation limit on the banlist.

One reason we learned to track puppets was to know who needs to be on the limited banlist. Which puppet is a threat, and which isn't. I had excel spread sheets tracking players and their puppets.

The best explanation I've heard for Palpatine surviving essentially boils down to, "space wizard powers go brrrrrrrrrrr."

Westwind wrote:One reason we learned to track puppets was to know who needs to be on the limited banlist. Which puppet is a threat, and which isn't. I had excel spread sheets tracking players and their puppets.

Prolific players often have patterns to their puppet creation. NS Intel Agencies would look for things like that. Just as the better agencies noticed that Westwind tended to put a space after the last word of a sentence before the punctuation . <---- This allowed me to post without that space in puppet personas, and not be noticed by those same agencies. When I wanted to be noticed....just add the space. Yes, there are some out there that still track that old Westwind tendency to this day. <---- But you'll notice I don't do that anymore.

I remember a couple players that consistently created puppets with reverse spellings. I recently noticed one that's still around that I trained in '04.

For example, most Westwind puppets have something musical about them. Westwind's motto is a Rush song lyric. Then there is All Good People, and The Gates of Delirium (songs by Yes.) My nation Olias of sunhillow (Album by Jon Anderson) was contacted by an NS player who was once Steve Howe's (Yes guitarist) girlfriend.

There are exceptions of course. Before I joined ADN, Wattle glen was a puppet I created to investigate an intel target. I found out the target player had connections to Wattle Glen Australia and created that nation to get his attention. I successfully caught him with multi-WA nations, asked Admin for a multi check, and they DEAT 60 of his puppets. He'd been using his puppets to threaten war on Wysteria. I provided my intel to them, and all was well. He had another 60 nations DEAT a couple years later. But Defenders loved his later puppet region, Liberty Alliance. He's permabanned from Equilism since early '04, and tries to get back in every few years. I'm not sure why he's not DOS, but defenders love him nonetheless. Which is funny since he was an intel agent for the Atlantic Alliance, infiltrating defender regions.

PS - "He" was multiple players sharing the same nations. In RL he (the main player of the four) called them a 'Corporation'. They even had a website for the Corporation, unrelated to NS, so this was nothing new for them. He was known as Balthamos in the Atlantic Alliance. Over 17 years later and he's still in my NS dossier.

The World Assembly discusses and votes on General Assembly and Security Council Resolutions. GA Resolutions will have an stats effect on member nations.

Other than that, WA endorsements decide who becomes the region's Delegate, and increase your Regional Influence.
