Okay even if you're called Democratic Socialists, why do you still instate the nation title of dictatorship anyways? Plus you got a crippling economy on top of that which makes me question how your own nation's citizens survive?

Would be interesting to see how much time and what it takes for me to change this nation into a place worth of living in, when starting with the (imo) worst possible options.

I mean it ain’t looking good so far

Oh aye, I finally went from being an 'inoffensive centrist democracy' into a 'moralistic democracy'... Eh, took me, how long have I've been here?... Afew months. According to the NA wiki I am part of the 2%. Hurrah

We need to bring this region back to life; I speak for some of our region's most veteran members when I declare we shall bring back Layem's glory days if we actually choose to try at least. Please take a strong look at the history of when this region was just growing, and the statistics display the fact that we just don't bring in new members no more like we used to all them years ago (actually just a year ago). I do not hold the knowledge of truth to show why this is the case, but charm and wit isn't enough to show newcomers to stick around long term instead of short term departure. Join the campaign to bring back the greatness of Layem from the days when the region hosted over a hundred nations, and we were booming in activity like roleplaying for example. Not trying to make this sound like a political campaign because it isn't as i am not competing againt Maur for leadership, but this is merely a support post to encourage a revival phase to bring more life and enlightenment into the Confederacy of Layem.

I mean something obviously kept you guys this long up to this point, and that's the sort of motivation or dedication to a region with declining population numbers we should use to attract outsiders to boost our active participation amount.

Maur if you need help with attracting newcomers to your declining region we're your people, the region's leader even sometimes needs assistance and advice from its' own citizens. By the people for the people, liberta o' morte, and the freedom regardless of your political ideological alignment is what brought everyone together; let the nations of this humble region help you guide this place back to enlightenment and the old prosperity it held. A new dawn of resurrection is a desperate plea to revive the once active region of Layem, we got ideas and other methods to help you Maur bring this entire place back to tranquility.

I appreciate your input, but this region wouldn't be still functioning up to this point if the main contributing factor was just from laziness. I honestly think the sole reasoning is due to mere inactivity; no remaining nations within our borders actually get online to help participate basically. It's not that they choose not to aid the Confederacy of Layem, but there's some real world stuff happening that prevents that so what we need to do is create a method to get around that issue. My previous posts I mentioned enlightenment and life which we need to truly make this region prosper almost like the old glory days; we been on a decline lately where the population numbers drastically shrunken to forty nations and most are offline.

We just need support to make this place a thriving active region; the offline nations makes us look a ghost town where there ain't stuff going on. Months ago we were doing foreign affairs activity such as diplomacy, and now the ambassadorial work is nonexistent into a state of oblivion. I honestly got some hope under my belt that this place will be booming once more down the line, but to make that happen though we need to work together to make the dream real. One man can talk about what needs to be done like I been doing, but trying to do all the tough dirty work alone won't realistically get the ball rolling.

Umm, I feel like that would backfire more upon yourself than some sense of accomplishment typing that comment; it's your region you created to even have people here in the first place. But like you said there's no obvious caringness to maintain this place that you founded and the choices written root directly to the main command; I'll leave you with your very reasonable point to let it merely die off on your own terms. You enjoy whatever happens to the region of Layem according to what you want done in that statement.

It was your words though. What do you achieve from suppressing my comment?

ATTENTION

Just wanted to say welcome to all of the new comers, and that our regional government is currently under construction. But in the mean time, talk to us on discord.

I back down from my previous intentions in the comments. Any comments that I declare with rhetoric or hearsay won't be related to the inactivity issue I recalled more than numerous times which can look to some as spam. Yeah, the leader brings up a very valid point about this region booming and slowing down in some up down rollercoaster cycles every few months; it's hard I presume to keep putting meaningless effort for the same pattern effects all the time since the founding date. I will indeed focus on things worth doing basically, and I guess not add an unattractive appeal with those statements.

You want to create a large regional roleplay like the colonial one from a few months ago? We can draw up a rough draft or general idea for a new theme, and with the seasoned cartographer Benelux's abilities, a map can be put into action.

You can decide the theme or let the region's members take a vote and eventually, more details are recommended to fully establish the entire organizational process. I had a few ideas like a Layem cold war (your regional nations replace real-life cold war countries), the wild west era which is a rough sketch, and the final one is essentially just around the dark ages.

My thoughts on the themes he suggested. Only two stand out for me.

I can't imagine a nation-roleplay in the wild west. Most roleplays that I've read from that genre are ussually about a group of characters/sole protagonist rather than the American's manifest destiny. The scale would also be something of a matter, since we wouldn't know if it would just a homestead turining into a village and eventually bombed by federal bureucrats who want to declare the settlement the capital of whatever state has been made.

Cold war is, äääääääääääääh, cold war. Only thing I find interesting in those times is the depressing s*** in Asia and Europe along with hilarious s*** happening in Africa and the Middle east. Ah, and classic spy films. Never tried my hand at a cold war nation roleplay.

Yeah, you bring up some very valid points, and I did say that the Wild West theme was a rough sketch that would not be very plausible. Cold War theme suggestion I honestly think wouldn't be all that bad though; we can get creative and such if the idea further develops in time. If this sounds much better we could potentially convert the cold war theme into a World War 3 roleplay; it would be global thermonuclear war during the times of the cold war era, and it can also expand afterwards into life during a nuclear winter. You could rebuild civilizations in the new world of the nuclear fallout, fight wars or form diplomacy, and whatever other ideas to help me out here. If not I would try considering the middle ages or dark ages, not a bad area to explore into.
