Why does your nation support "marriage equality"
Hi, so I just clicked on some of our leaders and apparently "marriage equality" is supported by this group's leaders. I joined because I liked the link to John MacArthur and liked everything posted. But apparently there is a wide gap between what is posted and what people here stand for. Time to find a conservative Christian group.
Ecclestia is a secular country and the government, which is currently a centre-left coalition, passed marriage equality legislation however churches and religious organisations are able to fully marry according to their conscience and religious tradition. That being said, 87.8% of Ecclestians are Christian and 97.8 % believe in God - I'm sure you can guess how commonly same-sex marriages are conducted.
I prefer to say 'I'm Christian'. I'm a follower and believer in Jesus Christ and have dedicated my life to living by his example. In my eyes, there are no coservative or progressive christians, there's just christians doing the best they can to follow Jesus. Hope you enjoy the next Region you venture to :)
I understand your position. I disagree with the premise that Christians can do the best at following Jesus, but let other parts of their lives, worldviews, or actions to still be unChristian.
I was too harsh in my disappointment. As I trust you believe what you say you do, but it is suboptimal for a Christian society to allow for gay marriage while still claim to follow God. Following God does not lead to policies that allow for openly offending God, especially under the fictional premise that 89% or 90% of people are Christian in your nation.

Lord God,
I give you thanks, for you are good, and your mercy is endless.
Here I stand, at the start of this holy week,
This week in which your church remembers Jesus’ passion and death,
And I am distracted by many things.
Turn my eyes now to the One who comes in your name
The one who opens the gates of righteousness
The one who answers when we call.
I bless you, Lord, for shining your light upon me,
And for sending your son to us, in human frailty.
To walk the road we walk.
Open my eyes that I may see him coming,
And may praise him with a pure heart.
And may walk in the way of his suffering,
And share also in his resurrection.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.
Almighty God,
who through your only‑begotten Son Jesus Christ
overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life:
Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord’s resurrection,
may be raised from the death of sin by your life‑giving Spirit;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
Hello! My name is Rev. Meng, as you can already tell, I am an ordained Priest :) I love worldbuilding and so in my spare time I thought I'd join a region and meet other like-minded people and apostles of the Lord!

NS CHRISTIAN DENOMINATION CENSUS
Hi everyone, we'd love for you to participate in the Christian Denomination Census.
Our Founder has now CTE :(
And I'm back. In all honesty I will likely only be logging in frequently enough to not CTE again. But I do check the site at least once a day on the Ibica account, so shoot a TG that way if you need me! I'll see it much sooner.
I'm also Baptist so make it 8!
