I live in South Pacific, and came across mention of your name while trawling the RMB for something. It made me remember a long-time resident of ours, The lepearchauns, having brought up working with you in the past (I think in the FRA?). Anyway, he has recently left the game, and in case that was something you would want to know, I thought I'd reach out. He left a touching farewell address which was captured in this dispatch.
Cheers
Thanks. Yeah, I did see lep had left, which was a pity. I knew him a little bit from the FRA, and also because I was involved in North Pacific back when it made an effort to be a functioning region, and which had a history with SP as fellow Not Actually Feeders. I think my nation was there as a "just in case" sleeper in the event of invasion. I probably intended to chat on the RMB too.
Well, looks like you didn't need me, then. But I'm glad to have heard about it from your end, as well. Being somewhat history-minded, I like to hear such stories.
I was not aware of the other "Not Actual Feeders," that's pretty fun. Sounds like a regathering of regions is in order :P Looks like North Pacific was, at some point, refounded. Is that really where the FRA began, as it claims in their WFE?
"Not actual feeders" is a term I just made up, but that's kind of what linked North Pacific / South Pacific. We did have a "League of Pacifics" alliance at some point and might even have shared offsite forums - I can't remember too clearly.
North Pacific was an old defender region, originally founderless. It's where Big Killer Babys was from - he founded the FRA, alongside Northern Chittowa of Global Right Alliance, and The Merlion of Jethnea, and NP/GRA/Jeth made up the first three member regions. BKB was the one who came up with the idea and put the early effort in, so yeah - North Pacific were where the FRA originated.
It got refounded at some point in the lifetime of the FRA; BKB and I shared the founder and I then passed it on around when I left the game in 2017.
Yeah, I figured that was the case. But it's as good a term as any. I know every time I mention my region, I have to append "(not the feeder)" to the end of it.
Well, I wasn't aware of all of that history in North Pacific. Pretty interesting, though, thanks for taking the time to explain. I looked up Big Killer Babys on the forums, and they seem like they were good folks. I only regret that I cannot collect their trading card :P
Dang, I miss lep already. :(
and I hold Jethnea, and have systematically and consistently kept it alive and secure. smh
He had a real earnestness and sincerity about him. When he wasn't a grouchy b*stard :P
*Flails arms* I'm gunna nuke stuff! YAY!

Do not mistake silence for death
Not surprisingly, my largest industry is tourism. It makes perfect sense because my nation is on the moon.
Any idea how to end the silence? I'd love to have more lunar nations to talk to.
There is on air no the Moon, thus no sound. Hence, silence.
No, I mean getting the RMB active again.
