Region: Intarctica

Highly respected King of Vä;

This ruling sets a precedent which the Empire ultimately accepts, even if it was carried out under non-optimal circumstances. It was decided solely by the Väitian high judicial court, but since Draecovia also has acted alone in the Conclave before, in extraordinary state of affairs, it is deemed to be acceptable.

Now when alliances are technically allowed until the formation of a functioning Joint Congress the Empire has decided, for the time being, to not create a counterweight to MATO. It would simply not be in line with our ideology to join a faction with the remaining nations of Intarctica. This also raises the question of Sphenitopia; we would like to see the situation de-escalated as soon as possible, to avoid possible armed conflict. As such, the Empire recommends that the Holy Emperor and Allfather allows an independent tribunal to investigate Sphenitopia's recent actions. The worst that would come out of it would be monetary compensation to deceased non-Sphenitopian nationals, which we see as far superior than an all-out war.

Honoured spokesperson of Totenburg;

We will not cease trade with Sphenitopia, nor will we halt diplomatic protocol. Sphenitopia is already being sanctioned by MATO, and adding a long-time friendly nation to the mix would only further risk igniting the flame of war.
