Papua Responds to Cantonese Aggression
Canton's acts of aggression have clearly violated our neutrality. Gun boat diplomacy is completely unacceptable between civilised nations and peoples. In retaliation the Republic of Papua has seized all personal and commercial assets from Cantonese citizens and businesses in Papua. Individuals bearing Cantonese passports are being detained at the border and until further notice will not be allowed to board any transportation, they have also been denied access to their personal belongings with the exception of essential medicines. Note that food water and shelter is being adequately provided for them. Port Morseby has temporarily been closed and all commercial sea traffic is encouraged to dock in Jayapura instead, which has access to the open ocean of the Pacific.

A group of 5 armed coastal patrol boats have been dispatched from Port Morseby towards the Cantonese fleet, they are crewed by Marines bearing the Papuan flag. They announce over the radio that they demand an appointment with the commanding officer of the fleet to issue the government of Papua's response: "You have 48hrs to leave Papuan territorial waters or we will consider this an act of war."

Amassadors stationed in Westminster, Peurto Deseado, Washington DC and Beijing have requested audiences with the foreign minister of their respective states to discuss the aggressive action of Canton against the neutral state of Papua.
