Sozialdemokratische Rally in Agram.

Sara Silivasi, the leader of the Social Democratic Party was present at a rally held by her party today in the city of Agram, in the Kingdom of Croatia.

She took to the stage along with many other notable embers of her party and presented her manifesto for the upcoming election, promising sweeping reforms and radical policies across many areas. Highlights included the creation and funding of a universal basic healthcare service and the creation of a blanket 14/hour minimum wage nationwide. In addition they promised to create a better example on the international stage, acting as a beacon of hope and peace for the world and cutting ties with nations who have been accused of human rights violations and more.

She also promised to issue a number of social reforms. Being a member of the LGBT community herself she promised to petition the Kaiserin to support an amendment to the constitution and bill of rights to protect all citizens from discrimination based on sexuality and gender identity alongside the already present protections based on Age, Nationality, Sex and Disabilities.

She then hounded Walther Ritschel and his Freedom party for being nothing more than alt-right authoritarian fascist demagogues who only stood for the wealthy and political elite while claiming to be a party that represents the common man. They claimed that the "freedom" represented by Ritschel is nothing more than false populism and nationalism based on nothing more than scapegoats and buzzwords. She claimed that a dark future awaits should Walther and his cronies gain office.

If elected, the social democrats promise to bring Danubia into the 21st century and create a modern nationstates where all people of the Danube are truly free and equal. As the first non-german, female and lgbt chancellor of Austria she would prove that all are equal and all have a chance to make a difference.

Current Polling - National Elections

POLLS MAY NOT BE ENTIRELY REPRESENTATIVE OF ACTUAL NATIONWIDE OPINION, THE FOLLOWING IS ONLY AN ESTIMATION OF THE CURRENT VOTING INTENTION DURING THE UPCOMING ELECTION. POLLS MAY CHANGE OVER TIME.

Sozialdemokratische Partei (SDP) - 302

Donau-Freiheitspartei (DFP) - 254

Demokratische Partei (DDP) - 67

Donau-Grünen (GPD) - 20

Reformkoalition (RKD) - 2

NO OUTRIGHT MAJORITY
323 SEATS NEEDED FOR MAJORITY
DEMOCRATIC PARTY LOSE MAJORITY
SDP WILL BE THE BIGGEST PARTY

Polls show that currently no single party has an outright majority for the first time in Danubian History. As the largest party, the Social Democrats have the highest chance of forming a coalition. The most likely scenarios in this case are a coalition with the Democratic Party bringing the total seats up to a comfortable 369 or if that fails a coalition with the Greens and Reform Coaltion, leading to a slim majority of 324.

The Freedom party are not far behind however, as they are not far behind the social democrats and could potentially form their own coalition with the Democratic Party should the social democrats fail to do so. alongside the big tent reform coalition they could barely reach the 323 seats needed to form a coalition.

The Democratic Party are disheartened by recent polls but have not yet given up hope, urging people not to give into extremism and promising to be a force for peace and unity across Danubia, catering to the centrist policies of previous governments. However, as they are looking to lose 87% of their former seats (467) to other parties it seems unlikely that the democrats will return to government meaning that for the first time a new party will take the chancellorship. However, if they maintain their current powerbase they could take the role of Kingmaker allowing Democratic leader TomᚠKuchár to maintain strong influence over future Danubian politics.
