Ah, well, see that's a complicated issue. It can really add to the Region's effect when there's enough energy and activity in the life-blood of the group to power them both. That makes more people come floating in because they see the activity in both and find a general niche. Besides that, it helps center activity against the general decay of the Summer-winter cycle (though it *must* hook the new members with activities too).

In this case, there were a few issues. Multiple exodus moments left me and others exhausted, and faced with recurrent harrassment by a member who rhymes with Conquistador (on both Discord and RMB) after I gave up the Discord's management...well it compounded together. Besides that, I think people were just too tired to really form the "network" that a community needs, and that left the RMB much more empty than it otherwise could have been. At the very least, it didn't help when people felt the need to exodus again because of it. In this particular case, I think if I had been quicker to ban Mauricil (?) and Lat from the RP/Discord it would have been better later.
