Official Message from the Interim Government of /Eastern/ Indochina

It has come to the attention of individuals presiding over Eastern Indochina that Chairman Khan has officially stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Unitary State of Indochina and has relinquished all control over to Saigon. This news comes to us joyfully as a civil war has been avoided. Eastern Indochinese Armed Forces will move towards Nakhonruang to secure the area and to make sure that this is not an attempt to trick Eastern Indochina into letting our guard down. We will monitor the situation, but will also move forward with the Democracy Plan.

The Democracy Plan will see the establishment of a Founding Bill which will establish the Democratic-Republic of Indochina. Once convened, the legislature will have a constitution written and then the constitution will ratified (with or without amendments). This will establish the official law of the land and the entire government. Once the Constitution of the Democratic-Republic of Indochina is ratified, the legislature will meet bi-weekly for the first year after the first official election to be held. The entire timeline of the Democracy Plan will stretch over fourteen months.

We ask member nations of the Asian Union to be patient with Indochina as we will be attempting to normalize the nation after years of trending downhill overall. Once the Democracy Plan has come to a conclusion, Indochina will resume its place in the Asian Union, hopefully with more involvement in the future. The main goal of the Democratic-Republic of Indochina will be to give every citizen a voice in matters that pertain to them, and to give power to the people in situations where their sovereignty is on the line. A brighter Indochina for a brighter Asia in a brighter future.
