Yeah...it was head-shakingly bad...half expected them to just start a fist-fight on the floor...😒
Btw sorry Sicilian imperial-capitalist empire, I didn't realise that was against the rules and sincerely apologise for that. Thanks for letting me know, it won't happen again😔

Or in another term, could he live longer than his mother?

I reckon there's more chance that he'll pass it onto William as Regent unless he takes the throne and has a pop at the kinghood but really William would be the popular choice amongst us Britons.

Einswenn wrote:Honestly I have no idea what do you mean by barely hidden costs because there is no difference to what you get in any touristic place elsewhere. If you catch a cab offline you will get extra costs regardless if you are foreigner or local.
If you buy a souvenir in a touristic shop you cannot be surprised by additional costs. Like elsewhere (2).
If you get additional costs at a grocery chain or at a cafe I will not believe it, sorry. Prices are fixed.
If you act like a typical tourist you will be treated like a tourist. Like elsewhere (3).

I am unaffiliated guide and a long term Couchsurfing host so I know this not from social media or websites. If you prepare for your trip you are good. Like in taxi case: there are international apps like Gett or Uber + local IT giants that provide more than just convenient fares and they don’t care who you are if you book via the app.

And the police... dude, it’s odd for Russians too.

Edit: Oh, and if you happen to get in less touristic city and will be lucky enough to find English-speaking person they will likely help you rather than rob you. And bad greedy people or businesses are everywhere, I wouldn’t name them by any nationality

Like I said, it depends who you come across. Typical tourists or not, people ripping-off others is not uncommon nor limited to tourists (yet the latter are more commonly targeted). Souvenir shops in general everywhere are considered a tourist trap so that's a given. As for taxis, it depends on the standard fare and routes taken but I suppose everywhere has a different system.
What I meant was added "tax" when afterwards it clearly wasn't the case, same for "administrative costs". I'm not going to write off a whole country due to one or two cases (especially such a vast a diverse country) but it's an undeniable fact that a stranger or foreigner anywhere has statistically more chances of being taken advantage of purely in an economical sense. That said, I will keep in mind what you said :)

Can you feel October is coming?

Even if Charles becomes King it probably wouldn't last very long, he's already past 70! Crazy how long Elizabeth has reigned..

Well, given his genes, it could well be 25 years, though :D

I get you, thanks. You sounded like blaming Russia for this like if it was its unique feature so I had to comment that way. It was in the topic about visiting Russia as a tourist so my point was there is no much of difference with other touristic places in Europe

I prefer PC than console 😎😎😎
