"Understood. I will make sure to contact you once we arrive at the gate. I'll also contact the Russian high command and alert them of our departure. Once we leave...hopefully we're able to make it back in a reasonable amount of time. If at all..."

The negative emotions and anxiety he had repressed for the last 16 months was starting to seep through as much as he tried to remain strong. Still, the confidence that others had in him helped to ward off any second and third guesses about what he was doing. At least for the time being.

"I would prefer to choose the team after meeting them personally and getting to know them for at least a few hours. More importantly, my primary goal is to make it to our final destination alive. Once I do that, and I take a tally of who could and could not make it, then I will be able to decide who and who not to choose. After all, it would be a shame if I were to choose now only to find out that they all passed away. I assume life on this planet will continue as it normally would had this mission not been created, yes?"

The Prime Candidate could tell he was still rather nervous about the whole thing. She had hoped that this final one on one with her would help ease a few of those nerves. Both for her personal reasons as well as the fact she wished for him to perform her duties to the best of his abilities.

"You have a point in that. We are about to lose a great deal of men and women to essentially nothing. Make sure the survivors of your people do not lose their morale after the death toll comes out. Keep them in line if you can, at any cost. We can not begin to imagine the level of stress you and your people are about to have to endure for the sake of human kind."

To the point of his final remark she took a moment to assess something mentally before she responded.

"To most extents yes. However with the fact we are not alone and we could be facing invasion any day we have alerted all of our outposts across the system and are in the process of building more ships to combat the enemy we may now face. Infact one of our first acts when we become the leader of this country would be to further boost the budget to our orbital assets to better protect the planet from any extraterrestrial threat we may encounter. As well as reinforce our terrestrial means of combating them."

Menu loved feeling Anunsei's warm touch, so he fondled her hand for a bit and hummed softly. He then looked at Sita's face and giggled as he thought she looked confused, but he remembered their species and cultural differences, so she might have been hungry... who knew. As he listened to the question, he looked into the horizon for a moment. Perhaps they would be somehow aware of his land's history just enough to understand some references.

"Yes, a Prince, because I am one of the sons of the previous King. On one paw, it means a lot of privileges, but on the other, it also means many restrictions, some on prupose and some accidental. For instance, I am not allowed to travel abroad without the King's explicit permission, nor pick whatever job I want. And it also makes it a bit harder to make friends because most people fear crossing the King. Nevertheless, it's a very comfortable life, so I can't complain."

He chuckled as he shrugged and then looked at Sita and the at Anunsei again, asking them both his next question.

"And when did your people have a monarchy?"

"I do not believe I will tell them what the actual death toll is. Every single one of them is a soldier that understands that death happens. The best way to handle it is to complete the mission to honor those who will inevitably lose their lives. Whether we're successful or not in the mission doesn't matter in that regard."

In a way he envied his Overlordian colleagues. From what he could see from the most part, emotional connection was unimportant to the majority of them. If they lost comrades, chances were they'd be able to move on without heavy hearts. Something he knew his people could never accomplish.

It was kind of funny for him to know though that life on the planet he was born on would continue to operate as it normally would. He'd definitely be thinking about it during his journey.

"I see. It's comforting to know that this place will at least be sort of safe while I'm going. I prefer to be reassured that when we do complete our mission we'll actually have a home to return to, you know? Have anything to return to. Who knows, maybe I'll have grand nieces and grand nephews when I get back. WOuldn't that be strange..."

He sighed when he thought about it, wondering how long he'd be gone and what he might be missing. What the state of his country would be when he got back. If there would be war or peace. It was actually quite frightening for him.

"I wish you good luck when you do eventually assume control of the country. I'm sure you'll be just as good of a leader as your predecessor, if not better."

Upon mentioning that he wished her to be better even then her predecessor for a moment she stood in silence. It was clear part of her wished to say something, however the fact that she was still a citizen and under monitor seemed to change her mind.

"Even living up to our predecessors standard would be enough for us to be satisfied. But one such as ourself can not hope to go beyond perfection..."

She glanced down for a moment then back at him.

"Goodluck Admiral. We will see you again in several years. Take care of yourself...and your men."

She gave him an Overlordian salute and slight bow of her head before she dismissed him to go and see about his own peoples final preparations. In the meantime she once more took seat in her command chair, re-interfacing with the entire fleet as she began making her own preparations for the final launch sequence of the mission. The reality of it all still weighing rather heavily on her mind.

By the 12 hours to launch mark every crew member of the Overlordian fleet had boarded their assigned vessels and were in the process of securing and final system diagnostics. They wanted to be absolutely sure to give the mission the best possible chances of success, so no hitches on their side that they control were going to be allowed to slip past any of the screening processes. The final checks went down to counting every single ration aboard every single ship, and even a final stress test on the materials to build the gate. If anything was to go wrong it was then or never.

The fleet had also begun to move into launch path near the Lunar Jump Gate. The Gate itself was positioned and calibrated for the jump to the desired system, and was ready to jump the entire fleet to the other galaxy. Once activated it would be over in an instant, no travel time necessary. Final countdown would commence soon.

Project Eden

Several years ago the planet of Mars was successfully terraformed into a habitable world for humanity. The project took nearly 60 years to complete and represented a pinnacle achievement of humankind. Trillions of dollars and millions of people devoted their entire lives to the completion of this project. Nations from across the Aerth sent their best to the project. And the results over these recent years have been nothing short of astonishing, with over 2,000% biomass growth in the last quarter alone. In Overlordian population alone there are now millions of inhabitants living comfortably on the surface of Mars.

This success coupled with the still explosive population growth facing humanity has lead Overlordian scientists to once more look to options. Not for our modern era but for the future of humankind. The more area we have to grow and expand the healthier our race can become and the further we can advance ourselves on our quest to gain the knowledge still just beyond our grasp. Thus the next logical step in the process of terraformation fell to the next planet in our own solar system not far from our home planet. Venus.

Venus posses several unique challenges over the predecessor Mars. Firstly the atmosphere is composed almost entirely of toxic gases, in a density much thicker then Aerth. The gases prevent sunlight from escaping, causing the planet to have incredibly high average temperatures. In addition the surface pressure of Venus exceeds the Aerth's surface pressure more then 10 to 1. Venus also lacks a magnetic field of it's own similar to Mars, meaning that any atmosphere artificially created will instantly be stripped away by solar winds. And finally the lack of hydrogen on the planet will create an issue when moving to later stages of terraformation.

The Plan

Step One-An L1 Venus Lagrange point Electromagnet similar to that constructed for Mars shall be constructed to shield Venus from that harsh solar winds that strip it of it's atmosphere. Two smaller electromagnets will also be constructed for later deployment onto the poles of Venus in order to provide a failsafe in case of Lagrange Point failure.

Step Two-An Overlordian Fleet will position itself in high orbit over Venus. Once all vessels are in position they will begin a bombing run of the surface. Te goal is not the creation of gas but rather the vaporization or expulsion of the gases on the surface from the planet. To do this the highest yield warhead ever developed will be fired multiple times at the planets surface. The ZPE Nuclear Warhead is the first warhead developed to infuse Zero Point Energy in a nuclear process. The explosive yield of a single warhead is estimated an excess 50 Gigatons.

The Warheads will be dropped with several hundred smaller yield kinetic and conventional nuclear weapons. The goal of the initial wave of ZPE Warheads is to push the gases in the atmosphere into space. The follow ups will continue to push the gas further away while releasing new gases on the surface. The gas released is significantly less the the gas pushed away, thus maintaining a semi stable pressure without the heat entrapment.

Step Three-With the atmosphere cleared of gas an array of Solar Shades will be deployed to help lower the temperatures and reduce the remaining pressure. By this point some gas expunged will begin to return, and if necessary another bombing run will be deployed. However if not necessary then the solar shades will begin to freeze a majority of the gas as it returns, continuing to lower temperature and pressure.

Step Four-By this point in time the atmospheric pressure and surface temperature will need to be below or at habitable levels. Bacteria pods will then be deployed as the seeding process begins. The bacteria will convert the remaining carbon into oxygen as we slowly begin to oxygenate the planet.

Step Five-Using gravitational assists as well as a devoted fleet ice covered asteroids and chunks from the belt will be directed to crash into the surface of Venus. The goal is to aid the creation of water as the surface oxygenates, thus spreading moisture into the atmosphere as chunks burn on entry. Simultaneously hydrogen will begin to be pumped into the atmosphere.

Step Six-Once the surface has reached a stable enough level larger scale lifeforms may begin to be moved onto the planet and Human habitations may be constructed for early dwelling as a natural layer of top soil begins to form. At this point in time only minor corrections of the solar shades to keep the atmosphere at the correct temperature and pressure will be needed until the planet can naturally sustain itself. At that point in time the Overlordian Terraformation will be completed to a degree that widescale colonization from the Aerth home world may begin to move to the planet and aid in their own ways the continuation of the planets process.

The estimated timeframe to completion is 25-30 years. Using resources from the Mars terraformation as well as developed processes during that time have lead to an increased ability to terraform the planet. This level is not full terraformation, but rather completed to a degree that the natural progression can be taken over the course of the next several hundred years.

Menu carefully listened to everything they said and looked behind at the statue, staring at it for a moment before looking at them once again. He raised his eyebrows as they mentioned what sounded like species-based abuses, as he heard before from Anunsei.

"Oh, I see. Theb your experience with monarchy sounds a lot like what most 'natives' -as you would call them- have gone through. Even Kemet saw a time of seemingly never ending abuse and discrimination. Of course things aren't perfect now... not even close, but I can understand how you feel regarding some forms of government and their policies. By the way, what do you mean by 'Blue Ghost'?"

He asked with his head slightly tilted while fondling Anunsei's waist with his big paw from the side.

"Nonsense. You've already handled this situation with a stunning level of maturity. Your predecessor would be proud. I'm sure you'll surpass even her accomplishments in due course. It's just a shame that I may not be here to witness your achievements."

He smiled at her, something quite rare given his personality, then bowed his head and began making his way for the door. He paused, like he wanted to say something to her, but in the end just nodded his head as thanks for her wishing him good luck and then departed. By the time he arrived at his flag ship, the crews of all ships in the Russian fleet had already gone over systems checks multiple times and were more or less prepared for the final launch.

Communication with their Overlordian counterparts was constantly maintained, with each ship sending the okay to both Russian and Overlordian command once its diagnostics were complete. Before he had arrived, the crews of the ships had had a message from the Empress broadcast to them, expressing her gratitude to them for embarking on such a dangerous mission and making clear that she was proud of them, an honor that was very sought after within the country.

As a result, morale was quite high and there didn't appear to be much anxiety, which surprised the Admiral when he entered the bridge in which he'd be commanding from. He spent the remaining time before launch receiving briefings and system checks from his subordinates while commanding the fleet into position to prepare for the jump. Once in their launch path, it was a matter of waiting for the final countdown.

He had made sure not to speak to anyone about anything other than the preparations due to not wanting to create any possible attachments to the crew at that time without knowing who would survive and who wouldn't. Once in the desired launch path, he sent the all clear to the Overlordian and Russian command. All he had to do then was wait and see whether he'd come out alive or whether he'd suffer what would likely be instantaneous death.

As the hours counted down the final checks throughout the fleet went about as normally they would. They had been planning for that moment for months, and now finally that it was here the preparations has paid off. Not a single flaw had been detected that wasn't of minor inconsequential and that could not be quickly and efficiently rectified. All was going as best could be hoped for.

Once Overlordian Command received the clear signal from the Russian members of the fleet the countdown to Gate activation began. The fleet positioned themselves near the gates opening as the gate made final calibrations for the desired destination point. The interior rings of the gate beginning to spin one by one until each ring was rapidly turning. A blue energy field began to form inside the rings of the large gate, and moments later a blue glow emanated from the interior of the gate. In the darkness of space it easily illuminated the nearby fleet of ships as the final countdown began. All that was left was for each ship to pass through the Jump Gate.

The green light was given and one by one each of the Overlordian vessels enabled their shields and sub light engines. The power to the engines was on minimum as the vessels each drifted forward very slowly until they entered the energy field and vanished from the sight of the rest of the fleet. One by one the ships entered, until the entire Overlordian fleet had cleared through. All that was left was for the Russian vessels to follow suit.

The Other Side

The Jump was virtually instantaneous for the crew aboard the OSS Tiberion. One moment they were stationed in their home galaxy orbiting the Moon they had all seen, the next their ship was pointed out into the blackness of a totally unknown star system. Immediately the crew went to work, trying to lock onto the probes sent previously to establish their position.

"Status report number 1."

"Reports from across the vessel are giving the all clear signal Captain. All crew members reporting at full capacity. Ship status at nominal capacity. We made it sir."

"Navigation, status."

"Tracking sir. We are way off course. Our sensor array isn't detecting any other vessel of our own. Nor any object within sensor range of the vessel. We're in the middle of nowhere sir."

"Establish beacon. Open the long range sensor tower and lower the shields. Get us comm links with the rest of the group."

The crew swiftly went to work following the Captains orders, trying to pinpoint just how far off course they had landed so they could reestablish connection with the rest of the fleet. However they could not know how lucky they were already.

Two systems and over 12 lightyears away the OSS Gaul exited the Jump to the sound of metal tearing followed by several systems. The vessel hadn't entirely been transported through the jump, the entire forward section of the ship completely missing. The shield held the atmosphere in for mere seconds before an explosion took out the array as deck by deck the ship was exposed to the vacuum of space.

The Captain and the entire bridge crew had been taken out in the rear of the forward section, leaving command momentarily out of equation as the remaining crew struggled to stabilize the vessel. Moments later the reactor would go critical as several sections had been entirely removed in the jump. A brilliant flash of light illuminated the area as the OSS Gaul was entirely atomized with all hands lost a mere ten seconds upon entry into the new galaxy.

The same could be said for the OSS Lorins and OSS Rogal, both vessels completely destroyed moments after entering the galaxy. The OSS Opris never exited Jump. The OSS Wilindu exited jump inside of a star in the target system, utterly annihilating the vessel in seconds. And finally the OSS Spire, which exited jump halfway inside an asteroid field. Though valiant efforts from flight attempted to salvage the vessel an asteroid had been embedded within the primary engine reactor at the instant the vessel entered and several dozen sections had been severely damaged. Though the ship cleared the field it would soon lose power, drifting into the gravity well or a planet and moments later crashing to the surface.

Of the original 20 vessels 6 had been lost upon entry into the Galaxy. 5 had suffered damages but had been saved. 7 suffered minor damages. 2 entered with no damage of any kind reported.

"Anne. Anne, dear. Wake up. You have a lot of work to do today, remember?"

My eyes opened slowly to the voice of my mother. Not the Empress of Russia who I now knew as my mother, but the woman who gave me life so many years ago. Indeed the person before me was my biological mother, smiling softly to wake me up. Everything felt surreal, like I couldn't really tell what was and wasn't real. Everything seemed bathed in a soft light and was slightly hazy, but I was very comfortable and warm. I felt a peace, calm, and general tranquility inside me that had been gone for years.

"Good morning mom. I had the weirdest dreams."

"They were just dreams." She said. "Were you scared?"

I stood up from bed and looked out of my window. There was nothing there. In fact it was completely bright white, like there was a shining light covering my window. For whatever reason this didn't strike me as odd. Even though my bedroom was the same as I had remembered it being when I was a little girl.

"Scary things happened to you and dad, but it was just a bad dream. I'm okay now."

"What a strong girl. If only your father was here to see how much you've grown." She said.

At this point I began to hear a strange sound. Crackling, as if there were burning embers in my home. Though I heard it, it didn't really cross my mind that it was strange. However, I then began to smell something abnormal as well. A fowl smelling smoke, like burning meat mixed with some sort of chemical. It was enough for me to start turning around to see what the source was.

"Did dad go to w-"

My sentence was cut off when I saw the source of the burning smell and sound. Where my smiling mother had been was instead a completely burnt corpse still crackling away from various burning embers. It was still standing just as my mother had been and continued to stare at me like everything was normal, not that it had eyes anymore. The entire body was charred black. Identifying it as my mother was impossible, let alone identifying it as man or woman. I covered my mouth in horror as I remained speechless and paralyzed from fear. Despite the disfigured, blackened features of the creature in front of me, it walked to me and gave me a hug, still speaking with my mother's voice.

"Dreams are nothing to be afraid of, Anne."

      Silvassa, India. July 4th, 2062

Early in the morning, Natasha-the personal enforcer of Empress Sasha of Russia only known to the world as "The First Sister"-woke after a horrible nightmare. Similar to those that had been plaguing her mind for the past year. Haunting visions of her original family that regardless of what she did, she could not make disappear. Due to her fear of what her parents would say, both Empress Sasha and her beloved wife Empress Eva, she had kept her nightmares away from them. Something made much easier by the fact that she had been dispatched to the captured territories of the Empire during its war with India.

After the initial capture of enemy territories, several Russian units were tasked with "organizing the population". After the main Russian soldiers had captured an area, they were to come in afterwards to sort the population of the newly acquired reason based on their bloodlines. Those with majority Indo-Aryan ancestry were sorted by these Russian units to be brought deeper into Russian territory, where most would meet their ends. On quite common occasion, entire villages were brought away, if not massacred immediately without sorting. However, it was not also uncommon for some undesirables to slip under the radar and survive the Russian squads brought through to find and kill them.

It was Natasha's job to check the work of the Russian sorting/death squads. The abilities granted to her from prolonged close proximity to her new parents and siblings allowed for an easier time in finding those who were in hiding, making her perfect for the job of cleaning up what was missed. It was for this reason that when she woke, she found herself in a military base outside of Silvassa. She had flown to the base due to the area having been recently captured and sorted through, requiring her final initial inspection. The nightmares had put her in a very bad mood, something which she at times took out on those she was sent to get rid of or even her own subordinates.

Once she had rid her mind of the memories of her nightmares, she stood up and left her tent with the intention of getting her job over with as quickly as possible. The city of Silvassa had already been inspected before. Her job was simply to inspect the outskirts of the city in the smaller villages that surrounded it. Often she would find very few people hiding, which she found irritating as it meant she wasted her time. Luckily on this occasion, the village they would be going to was particularly small with only a few dozen individuals left after most had either been evacuated or taken away by Russian forces.

The two soldiers that she traveled with as her direct subordinates waited for her patiently outside of her tent. They witnessed first hand the cause for her reputation, though it did not bother them. They had been specifically chosen for their ability to follow orders, making them perfect for her duties. She did not say anything to them as she made her way to her transportation. They simply knew to follow her into the vehicle, which was driven by a soldier who had only been told where they would need to go.

The two hour journey into the hilly countryside the village resided in was completely silent, with no words spoken between anyone. She preferred it that way since she had no interest in whatever thoughts they may have had. She had no particular animosity towards them, she simply did not care much about them beyond being comrades of hers. She respected that they were soldiers fighting for their country, which was as far as her care for them could go.

Upon their arrival, the few people who remained in the village were going about their business to make the best of what was left there. Once they noticed the three figures approaching, they all stared, knowing from the last visit from Russian personnel that it was likely some would be taken away. Natasha looked upon all of them silently for a moment before looking up at one of the soldiers accompanying her.

"Is this everyone in the village?" She asked.

One her men, who was capable of speaking both Hindi and English along with Russian, asked one of the older women outside if there was anyone else in the village. They appeared to get into some kind of argument, with the old woman shouting and speaking for quite a while, which angered Natasha somewhat. After a while, her soldier came back to her and informed her of what the woman had told him.

"She says the previous troops that came through here took everyone away." He said. "They took away the working men and young women. And children. This is all that remains."

Natasha looked at the woman silently for a few seconds. The woman seemed quite astonishingly resolute. Even defiant, which did warrant at least a small amount of respect.

"One of you remain here and make sure no one sneaks away." Natasha said. "The other, check the houses with me."

She walked slowly to each house, though did not walk inside, instead simply checking the outside. Her companion on the other hand entered each house, checking them thoroughly before moving to the next. He found only a few children, though as per his orders, brought them outside for what he hoped would simply be a population count. Natasha herself seemed to only choose particular houses to search, as if she already knew they would yield results, most of which were children hiding under floorboards. It was the sort of places that most people she found had hidden in, which she found to be quite boring.

Once she was satisfied with the several dozen people they had gathered, she looked back to the woman they had spoken to earlier, then asked her same subordinate to translate something for her. Why the woman had chosen to lie. Once again, it seemed she started yelling about something again, eventually stopping, though she looked quite angry.

"She said she was...told about what the Russians do with the people. White men in this area often tell the villagers of it." He said, seeming confused. "She was quite hard to understand. Her dialect isn't quite the same, but I believe she spoke of Russia's last war with Ukraine."

Natasha was alarmed and angered, both because it was unacceptable for anyone to be aware of what happened back then and because she hated being reminded of that previous life of hers. She ordered her subordinate to ask the woman the whereabouts of the men she spoke of, but the woman seemed defiant, refusing to say anything.

"She claims that they have a right to silence and she will say nothing."

Natasha again was silent. After an uncomfortably long amount of silence, she raised her arm suddenly towards one of the several kids they had found in the homes, causing them to levitate and float towards her. The action scared everyone there, excluding her own soldiers who had witnessed such things more than once. Moments later she ignited her saber and, without hesitation, decapitated the small boy, letting his head and body fall to her feet. It, rather unsurprisingly caused screams to come from the villagers. She then, with her bare hands, lifted the old woman by her neck, squeezing it tightly, but not enough to cause asphyxiation.

"You will tell me everything you know about those men or you all end up like the boy! Am I clear!" She said in English.

The woman frantically nodded with tears streaming down her face, after which Natasha set her on the ground, waiting to hear her speak. The woman explained that a group of men had taken refuge in that village after fleeing from the far east of the Empire over a year ago. The men were armed with weapons and told her that they were refugees from Russia escaping persecution. They had been escapees from death camps in Western Russia after the Russian invasion of Belarus and Ukraine. Their families slaughtered and turned to ash, they were lucky to escape and make their way east. Many of their companions had been caught and presumably killed, but with their weapons they hoped to one day let the truth be known about the tyrant leader of the Empire.

Finally, she explained that many of those men were likely fighting with the Indian government against Russia in several places. Some had even gone back into Russia as part of an "organization" that fought for the greater good. Mostly operating out of the middle east. Once the woman had nothing else to say, she knelt on the ground and mourned the loss of the small boy whose body lay in two parts at Natasha's feet.

Natasha didn't appear to care. Even if her entire head and face was hidden by her helmet, her body language said she had no concern for the life of that boy. She was only concerned with what she had just been told. After a few minutes, she turned to start making her way back to her car. However, she suddenly stopped as if she had forgotten something, looking at her two subordinates.

      "Kill them." She said, calmly.

The two men, loyal to the Empress and this enforcer of hers, nodded and turned back towards the people crowded together, looking confused and scared. Without hesitation, they opened fire, with Natasha watching as each and every one of them eventually fell to the ground. Even once they fell, her men shot their bodies, making sure that they were dead. Once the gun fire stopped, she continued staring down at the bodies as blood flowed towards her boots on the ground.

"Retrieve the gasoline canisters in the car. I want these bodies burned. No, the entire village." She said.

Again they followed orders, making their way the few hundred feet away to their vehicle to get gasoline. As Natasha was alone, observing the bodies she had created silently, suddenly she heard a loud high pitched screaming. She wasn't alarmed, but looked towards the direction it came from to find the source. It was a small girl running at her with a knife, with tears flowing generously down her face. She appeared to have been hiding in a pile of hay next to a house, but was now apparently upset enough at the death of her loved ones to come out into the open. Natasha was rather amused by this girl's attempt to take revenge for her loved ones, though was somewhat also impressed by the bravery it took.

That being said, she remained ruthless as she normally was. As the girl got close enough to try and stab her, Natasa simply grabbed the girl's arm and took the knife from it, then jammed it directly into the girl's chest, making her fall to the ground. The girl was completely still once she fell, not making so much as a sound as a pool of blood began to grow beneath her. Only a few seconds later, she appeared to stop breathing. It was at this moment Natasha's men arrived with two gas canisters. Without asking questions about the seemingly dead girl that wasn't there before, they began dousing the houses and then the bodies with gasoline.

It took several minutes to do, with Natasha simply watching and waiting for them to finish. When they eventually did, they threw matches into the houses, knowing the embers would eventually set the bodies on fire as well. As large flames rose from the houses, the two men walked to Natasha's side, awaiting orders. After a few moments, she just turned around towards the road that led to their vehicle.

"We're leaving." She said, beginning to walk at her usual leisurely pace.

She had taken no more than twenty steps when she suddenly stopped, her ears picking up a sound besides the crackling of fire. It was the sound of coughing, meaning somebody was alive. She turned around to see the girl she had just stabbed moving slightly on the ground. Her two soldiers raised their guns to shoot the girl, but Natasha gave them the signal to hold their fire. She watched calmly and patiently as the girl, no more than five or six years old, rolled herself over.

With great effort, the girl grabbed the handle of the rusty knife that was lodged in her chest and began to pull on it. For over a minute Natasha watched the girl struggle, until eventually she managed to pull the knife out, causing her to bleed even more profusely. Surprisingly, rather then set the knife down, the girl painfully crawled slowly towards Natasha, using a single arm to drag her body towards her.

The girl dragged herself the entire twenty-five feet on the ground to Natasha's feet, leaving a trail of blood from her chest the entire way. Once at the feet of Natasha, the figure dressed entirely in black that had just murdered an entire village, the girl made a single weak attempt to stab Natasha's foot. It was so pathetically weak that it couldn't even penetrate the boot, but it had seemingly taken all of the girl's energy, causing her to fall unconscious.

Natasha looked down at the little figure, genuinely impressed by such a display of bravery, strength, and a will to live. She looked down at her silently for several moments as fire spread to the bodies of the girl's loved ones in the village. After a little while, Natasha carefully picked the girl up into her arms and then turned around to begin making her way towards her car, a gesture that even surprised the two men that had completed so many such assignments with her, though they did not question it.

She kept the girl from bleeding out the entire way back to the Russian military base. Once arrived, she had the girl sent to an infirmary to have her wound treated. For the entire week Natasha was at the base, the girl continued to be treated, tough never woke up. Once Natasha had completed her duties in that area, many of which ended with the extermination of entire villages, she prepared to return to her family's home in Leningrad, Catherine's Palace. However, she also had the girl placed on the same flight to be brought back to the palace as well.

Once arrived, the girl, who had yet to regain consciousness, was given her own room in which the palace's doctors would monitor her and ensure her survival. As well as making sure the girl was well taken care of, Natasha also reported to her mother, Empress Sasha, about her duties in the east. She knocked three times on the door to her mother's office before slowly entering. The Empress, sitting behind her massive desk and signing various papers, looked to her "daughter" with a smile on her face.

"Welcome back, Natasha. How was your trip?" Sasha asked.

"Thank you, Mother. I have completed my necessary assignments." Natasha said. "Collection of undesirables is proceeding without much in the way of obstacles."

"Excellent work as always. I'll be thinking really hard about ow to reward you." Sasha said, standing up to hug her daughter.

Natasha, who quite literally worshipped the figure in front of her, gladly and lovingly accpted her hug.

"You're too kind, mother. I have more to report though." She said. "It appears the terrorists Russia has been plagued with are likely working mostly out of the middle east. Likely Iran. I want to go and investigate at some point soon."

"My my, your work exceeds all expectations." Sasha said, seemingly very happy. "Now...what is this last thing you wished to report?"

"During one of my missions, I came across a little girl who I found very remarkable." Natasha said. "Her spirit was very strong. Especially for one so young. She...she reminded me of how I was when you found me. I have brought her to the palace. I believe you may want to enlighten her as you did for me so many years ago."

Sasha seemed surprised. It was rare for Natasha to speak so highly of someone, regardless of their age.

"Is that so? If it is you who recommends them, I can't exactly say no to that." She said. "I will go and meet with them once they wake up. Excellent work, Natasha. I will speak with Eva about how to reward you."

Natasha simply nodded and bowed to her mother, then slowly walked out of the door, closing it gently behind her to go and relax for the first time in months. In her office, Sasha, given the nature of her being, watched the young girl that Natasha had brought her. She could see the events that had transpired one week ago that impressed Natasha. Rightfully so, she thought. For a young girl to be so strong and courageous was extremely rare.

Extremely rare indeed, and more importantly, potentially useful. She smiled a little bit, looking forward to watching how this girl would develop in comparison to how Natasha did. It would be very interesting and would help her better determine how to develop future kids she would "adopt" into this special "family" of hers. After all, Natasha had been working alone for quite a while. Sasha believed having one tor more teammates of equal ability could only be a good thing. Of course, only time would tell.

In the meantime, she decided she would leave Natasha the task of preparing the girl for the life she was no destined to have. To mold her into a servant of the state, but asomething more than that. To help lead a sect of people whose loyalties lay with Sasha alone. With her continued status of a goddess accepted by many people within her Empire, heshe knew her status as Empress and head of state would soon be secondary in people's minds to her status as a divine being they were born to follow.

With such a large group of worshipers, she would require those who would lead her worshipers into the future. Natasha was the first of these indificuals, the First Sister. With this new girl's future as the Second Sister all but set in stone, Sasha now had to think of the active procurement of more to fulfill the same roles as Natasha and her new sibling. The uncertainty of the kinds of people she would acquire was exciting to her, bringing a smile to her face.

With her time as Empress quickly coming to an end, she could not wait to fully embrace a new role. One in which she believed she could shape humanity into the perfect mortals she believed they had the potential of being.

Natasha woke up early in the morning, her blue eyes slowly opening after a night full of nightmares. She looked at her prosthetic arm, which showed her a hologram of the current time. 4:00 AM. Immediately she got up and went to bathe, sticking to a strict and rigid schedule. By 5:00 AM she had bathed and eaten, then dressed in her training clothes, which only consisted of skin tight shorts and a skin tight shirt, allowing her to move with the freedom she desired. Once dressed, she walked from her room in her mother's palace in Leningrad through her hallway to the elevator that led into the deeper floors of the palace. Early this morning, she was going to the private training facilities that the Empress had developed just for her.

To get into the actual facility, she needed to get through several doors that required her to scan her eyes and fingerprints before she could get inside. As soon as she opened the last door, a massive chunk of distorted metal flew at her and smashed into the wall next to her head. Natasha didn't seem phased, and was instead more curious about what caused it, though she actually knew the cause already deep down. Inside the facility, her new partner/sister that she had brought from India during the war was training as well. Having been christened Trisha by the Empress, she had grown quite a lot since being brought to her new home. Still shorter than Natasha since she was younger, but had grown significantly since that time. She was more muscular, more acrobatic, much stronger and faster. However, her personality had changed as well.

She had grown violent and quick to anger in contrast to her Natasha's cool and collected personality. While both girls were somewhat arrogant, Trisha had far less issue with showing it and treating other people and objects like they were lesser than her. It meant she tended to tear apart the androids that had been built for the two sisters to train with. They were meant to simulate combat with various kinds of enemy units, from foot soldiers to warriors as skilled in combat as she was. Unfortunately none of them were really skilled enough for her and she often completely destroyed them, tearing them into pieces in a violent rage. Even her fighting style was more angered than Natasha's, with her being far more aggressive with her light saber, choosing to focus almost entirely on offense instead of a balance of offense and defense like her sister.

"You cannot keep destroying the androids Trisha. They are expensive to make." Natasha said.

Trisha deactivated her saber and took a seat when she noticed Natasha standing in the doorway o the facility.

"Expensive?! These useless things are completely worthless! They don't even challenge us anymore!" Trisha said. "What happened to all the actual people we used to train with?! At least they were less predictable."

"You know very well why you no longer train with actual people." Natasha said, picking up a mechanical limb that was on the ground.

"So I cut off a few limbs, so what? You lost an arm when you were young and you got a new one. They can get new ones if they want." Trisha said, drinking water moments later.

"You know it wasn't just cutting their limbs. You taunted and tortured them. And you know you killed a few." Trisha said. "That behavior should be reserved for the enemy, not our comrades. They are our countrymen. They fight for the same causes we do and answer to the same master."

Trisha just scoffed. She had little concern for those she didn't consider her equals. Many times this feeling extended to even some officials in the country she believed were cowards or didn't deserve their positions.

"Whatever. Their lives were expendable. They were meant to make us stronger and they should be proud they helped. I never understood how you and mom never saw that." Trisha replied.

She stood up and ignited her saber, which was yellow in color just as Natasha's was.

"Now that you're here, we can actual train properly though. Why don't we spar a little?" Trisha said.

Natasha just sighed, knowing her logic would probably never reach her counterpart. She ignited her saber and bowed to Trisha, showing her respect. Trisha did the same, something she usually never did to others unless she liked them. Once upright again, they immediately began to spar, showing supernatural feats of speed and strength as they practiced together. Being older and more experienced, Natasha was superior, but she held back to help her sister learn. She never actually hurt her, though she did kick her and punch her since any wound it caused would not be permanent and would be easily healed. This lasted for several hours until she determined that Trisha needed a break, at which point she simply deactivated her sabre, which Trisha took as meaning they were done for the time being. Trisha couldn't help but admire her sister's capabilities. She had utmost respect, even love for her.

As they relaxed and drank water together, the door to their facility suddenly opened, with a palace servant walking towards the two. The servant, a man on this particular occasion, knelt before them and bowed his head before addressing them. He was very afraid since he knew Trisha and even Natasha's reputations, but spoke clearly regardless, hoping they didn't randomly decide he had disrespected them.

"Lord Trisha. Lord Natasha. Her Majesty the Empress has sent for you. Please report to her quarters within the next ten minutes."

He remained knelt until Natasha dismissed him, at which point he hurriedly left them alone.

"What do you think mother wants?" Trisha asked, standing up.

"Who knows. It could be anything. Perhaps an assignment." Natasha said. "Go and make yourself presentable."

The two left the facility soon afterwards, taking a short shower each and dressing in more casual clothing, each wearing a simple dress each and tying their hair with rubber bands. Once ready, they rendezvoused outside of the Empress's throne room. Almost as soon as they arrived, the massive gilded doors automatically opened. Inside, Empress Sasha rested on a massive throne, reading a book while she waited for her adopted daughters. Natasha could have sworn her mother had gotten even bigger, but regardless the two girls walked to her and knelt on one knee, bowing their heads towards her.

"How may we serve you, Mother?" THey both asked at the same time.

Sasha sighed and closed her book, looking down at the two of them.

"Natasha, Trisha. I have a certain assignment for you if you would be willing to accept it." Sasha said, though she knew they'd accept regardless.

"We will do anything for you. How may we serve you?" They asked again in unison.

Sasha had a slight smile on her face from their loyalty. She was quite proud of herself for raising such capable girls.

"Lovely. Your brother, Prince Artem, has delivered me quite useful information. He has found that several of the highest ranking members of...that terrorist group will be meeting together in a location somewhere near in the vicinity of Tehran. If his intelligence is correct...their leader may be among them as well." Sasha said.

Natasha seemed immediately excited. She had spent most of her life trying to destroy the German sympathizers that were the Vergessene terrorist group. They had been a thorn in her mothers side for years. She had hoped that destroying them would ease her nightmares and bring peace to both herself and her country.

"How did Artem find out about this? He's a well recognized man in the country and he's not exactly subtle. I find it hard to imagine that he was spying." Natasha asked.

"He simply bed their wives, sisters, and daughters. All of which happily sold out their husbands, brothers, and fathers for the chance to sleep with him again. Funny how so many humans have such weak constitutions that something like that works. Regardless, I trust my son and I believe his information is accurate." Sasha said. "Your assignment is to travel to Tehran and discover where they are hiding. You will have access to my personal legion of soldiers in order to capture any terrorists. I want you to kill most of the terrorist high command. Bring their heads to me, but bring the leader to me alive."

Both girls placed their fist over their heart and bowed, happily accepting their mission. They then stood up and began to walk away.

"Ah! One more thing, by the way." Sasha said. "Depending on how long you take to complete your assignment, I may not be the Empress by the time you get back. Your sister Princess Lelia is to become my successor upon her 17th birthday, which is in a few days. I would prefer that you try to complete your assignment before her coronation ceremony as you are her dear sisters. I would like you to be there."

"Yes, Mother. But...what will you do when you're not Empress?" Trisha asked. "And who will we answer to?"

"Your allegiances will not change. You answer to me, just as Lelia does." Sasha said, opening her book again. "Ultimately I am forever the ruler of this country in one way or another. Currently it is religiously as most of the population worships me. Lelia ultimately listen to my desires as her mother, though I'll try not to interfere in her reign so much. Regardless, your allegiances will remain to me and our religious sect."

"Understood. We will try to return for our sister's coronation." They said.

With their mission assigned, they went off to prepare, taking the day to rest first. The next day, they began preparations to leave quite early, with each of them donning their black uniforms. Each of them prayed to the goddess they worshiped before departing for the airport. They traveled in a cargo plane as per usual when going on missions. It was cold inside and very noisy, but it didn't affect them at all. They were both able to sleep easily, though Natasha was yet again haunted by images of her mother, completely burned to a crisp in the ovens of the death camps in western Russia. It surprised her that Trisha had no such nightmares considering she had actually witnessed her loved ones being murdered right in front of her eyes. In fact she was surprised Trisha loved her so dearly considering she was the very person who destroyed her entire village.

Both girls awoke at the same time when the cargo plane touched down at a military base near Tehran. From intelligence they had received from their brother, they knew the meeting would likely take place in a hidden settlement in the Alborz mountain range outside of Tehran. Upon exiting the aircraft, they were immediately approached by several dozen soldiers that they had chosen to take with them to make sure none of the terrorists in the compound escaped.

"Soldiers. You have been specifically chosen from your particular divisions to assist us on this mission." Natasha said, speaking in a loud clear voice. "Our objective is to discover the compound in the mountains that are currently housing several members of the leadership of a terrorist organization. They are assumed to be traveling with approximately 400 insurgents as protection. With this information, that is 326 more people than we have ourselves. However, they are not a well trained military force as we are, and thus failure is not an option. Both the Second Sister and myself will take six of you with us into the compound. The remaining 60 of you will wait outside the compound and kill any insurgents that exit the base. No one is to survive apart from their leader. He is a man missing his right arm and is also missing a part of right leg from the knee down. The right side of his face is scarred as well. If you see any men fitting this description, you are to leave them alive and report to myself or the Second Sister directly. Am I understood?"

"Yes, Sister!" The soldiers said, saluting her.

With that laid out, they all boarded the several vehicles that had been prepared to take them into the mountains.

    ________

      Vergessene Compound, Alborz Mountains, Iran

Several men of various backgrounds and ethnicities funneled through the winding paths of the towering mountain range. It was a very cold night in the desert, but they were certain that that far away they would have no one following them. They all made their way to several caves, which led through to a system that they had been using as a base over the past decade. The most important individuals, a total of 12 of them, all met in a large cave that had been turned into a meeting room, complete with billboards for planning as well as other essential facilities, even a small kitchen.

Their meeting was fairly generalized for a few hours, with them speaking of what their next course of action might be. Doing their attacks had become more difficult due to the Empire being more strict over recent years. That said, they had gained some allies in their fight for justice. Allies fairly high up within the Russian government. Most of whom were governors who weren't happy with the royal family for one reason or another.

"We've been getting more and more allies by the day." One of them said. "It won't be long until bringing this regime down will be a reality, not a dream."

"That may be the case, but we don't have enough powerful allies on our side." Another replied. "Quantity over quality is generally not a good idea. We require allies that have enough power in the Empire's government to actually be useful. Even if some of the generals and politicians are planning a coup, they don't have the charisma of the more powerful ones. Nor do they command the same respect."

They remained silent for a few moments before their leader spoke up again.

"Any information about Lady Tomoe of Japan?" He asked. "What's her stance?"

"We've received no word from her. The spies we sent to haven't return. We can only assume she had them executed." One of his men said.

      "And General Ibramovic?" He asked.

"Same story, Lutjens. Apparently she had them publicly executed." Another said. "Fierce just like her parents. We decided her sisters weren't even worth asking."

"Having any of them on our side would be a significant boost to morale." He said. "Regardless w-"

As he spoke, the lights in the compound all shut down, leaving them in darkness. There was a lot of confusion as some of their guards ran out of the room to check what was going on. After a while, there were several sounds of explosion and the room shook, causing dust to fall from the ceiling. The sound of gunfire could be heard in the distance. Therefore, their remaining guards decided it best to lead them out of the mountains to safety. They were led through the maze of corridors towards a secret exit in the northern side of the mountain.

However, as they crossed one of the hallways, they came across a single person wearing a black uniform, clearly an enemy. Immediately, the guards shot at them, but they ignited a yellow blade and blocked the bullets before proceeding to start mowing them down. Behind them, a second identical figure appeared as well, killing several men before they could even draw their guns. The men's guards were dead in less than 30 seconds, leaving the 12 high command to cower in fear.

Despite it being pitch black, both Natasha and Trisha could see clearly through the red visors in their helmets. They looked at each one of them closely, checking for the features of what they had been told was their leader. Using their abilities they extracted what information they could out of them, putting their hands on each of their heads and searching through their minds. Once finished with them, they beheaded them without any remorse or concern.

However, Natasha soon reached one of the men which felt familiar to her. She took her time with this one, trying to get a close look at his face. After a moment, her entire body froze, something Trisha noticed, but she assumed maybe the man had made Natasha angry somehow, so just ignored it. However, the man, despite being disable, lunged forward and tackled Nat, who for whatever reason didn't even fight back. He tried to give his comrades a chance to run. Or at least kill themselves before their secrets could be extracted. However, Trisha simply pulled them all back, quickly murdering all of them before turning her attention to Natasha, who remained motionless.

Trisha kicked the man off of Nat and into a solid rock wall, hard enough to crack it. She then lifted her sister and had her lean against a wall, removing her helmet soon afterwards. She had been stabbed in the abdomen by that man, but it didn't look like she cared. She looked like she had seen a ghost. She said nothing, instead just staring at the man struggling to get up. Eventually, he also looked up and met her gaze. Almost immediately his face turned to one of both shock and horror.

      "A-Anne..."

It was all he managed to say before Trisha knocked him out, she then looked back down at her sister, slapping her quite hard.

      "Hey! Snap out of it!"

She shook Nat quite hard, but she was basically unresponsive. After a few minutes, soldiers from their command arrived, having exterminated most of the enemy insurgents. They ran to Trisha and saluted before addressing her.

"Second Sister, there were more enemies than expected, but we have almost eradicated them. Only a few are left." One of them said.

Trisha didn't appear to be paying attention. She was looking intently at Natasha, but eventually stood up to leave. She picked up the terrorist leader by the collar of his shirt and began dragging him away with her.

"We're leaving. Sister has been injured. Carry her back to base. We'll leave for Leningrad when she has recovered."

She paused for a moment and looked back behind her.

"And bring me those heads. They're coming with us too."

        ________

Arash Air Force Base, Tehran, Iran

Natasha woke up several days later in a private hospital room. She was hazy and her abdomen, which was wrapped in bandages, was in a lot of pain. Regardless, she managed to try and sit up, but her sister pushed her back down. She was sitting next to her bed reading a book, though she closed it when she had noticed Natasha waking up.

          "What happened?" Natasha asked.

"The mission was going as planned and then you freaked out." Trisha replied. "How are you feeling?"

Natasha looked down at her belly, her mind suddenly getting flashbacks of what she had seen before she had lost consciousness.

"That man...where is he?' She said, sounding unusually threatening. Enough to make Trisha shy away a little.

"He's being held in a cell on the base. Why?" Trisha asked.

"I want to see him. Now." Natasha said, sitting up with some effort.

Trisha wanted to argue, but technically speaking Natasha had the authority to make that order. She just sighed and helped her sister stand, also giving her her helmet to wear. Neither of them generally liked the general population of the base to know what they looked like. With Natasha steady, Trisha supported her as they made their way out of their hospital room. The trip to where prisoners were held was longer than normal due to her wound, but eventually they made it. They had one of the guards lead them deep underground to where he was being held.

His cell door was opened, where inside he was strapped down to a chair so he couldn't move. It was extremely hot and he was sweating profusely. He also had a wound on his head and on his chest. One from where Trisha had kicked her and one from where his head had hit the wall. When he noticed the two of them, he said nothing, just looking down at his knees. Natasha said nothing for a little while, barely even knowing what to say. After a few moments she removed her helmet, letting him gaze upon her face, which looked like it was holding back tears.

"I never would have thought...that my father survived all these years..." She eventually said.

He just looked up at her, now having confirmation that she was in fact his daughter. Trisha just looked surprised and confused, but knew it best to just hang back and watch.

"I never would have thought my daughter survived that horrid camp...." He said. "How?"

Natasha sat down on the ground, looking directly at him.

"I escaped during a roll call. I ran through the woods and then I was found by the Russian military." She said. "Empress Sasha took me in and raised me, so here I am now."

He was visibly relieved and sad at the same time. Relieved that his daughter lived and sad that she was working with those who caused that whole situation.

"Why, Anne? You know what they did to us. Why would you help them?" He asked, wanting to cry.

She said nothing for several moments, just looking away before looking back at him.

"How did you escape?" She asked.

He sighed when he remembered it, looking down at his knees again.

"There was a riot. Thousands ran for the gates to try and break free. Most of us were shot and killed." He said. "It was total chaos. On my way out, I was even run over by a truck. It's why the right side of my body is...what it is."

On the one hand, like her father, she was happy he came out alive. But extremely sad that he'd soon meet his end.

"And what about mom?" Natasha asked.

He just shook his head, starting to shed tears.

"Once I was on the outside I looked everywhere for her..." He said. "I couldn't find her, no matter how much I yelled her name."

Upon hearing that, Natasha stood up, having been made angry. A strong part of her was angry at him for not trying hard enough to find both her and her mother. Now as a result her mother was dead and she had become a monster. She said nothing more to him, immediately walking through the door of the cell. Before she could leave though, he managed to tell her that he loved her and her mother, which made her pause for a moment before she continued on her way.

"We're going back home, Trisha. How long was I asleep?" She asked.

"Four and a half days." Trisha responded, a little concerned about her sister. "Are you okay?"

"Lelia's coronation is in a few days. We need to prepare." Natasha replied. She wiped some tears from her eyes before placing her helmet back on.

Their trip back was mostly uneventful, as were the several days leading up to and including Princess Lelia's coronation as Empress. But throughout what was supposed to be such a happy time, Natasha was constantly under the weather. She had refused to eat any food and she generally didn't interact with anyone unless she absolutely had to. A day after the coronation, Natasha was summoned by Sasha to her throne room, told to bring her weapon as well.

She followed the order like a robot, not really thinking about what might be requested of her. As soon as the door opened, she noticed the figure kneeling on the ground before Empress Sasha. Her father. Clearly he had more wounds than the last time she saw him and he was very weak. She was immediately compelled to rush to his aid, but held herself back due to being in Sasha's presence. The Empress looked at her daughter or a moment before having her come forward.

"I never got the opportunity to congratulate you on a successful mission." She said. "Your work and Trisha's was just what I expected. Has your wound healed?"

Natasha took a moment to answer, almost like she was distracted.

"Yes, ma'am. It hurts, but it's no longer opening like it was before." Natasha said.

"Good, very good. Now, to deal with the elephant in the room, this man before you was once the leader of the group we have fought so very hard to destroy since I adopted you." Sasha said. "He has caused you, me, and our family quite a lot of pain. I thought I would give you the honor of dispatching him. After all, I'm sure you feel no connection for him anymore."

Natasha's eyes widened. Strangely, she had hoped her father would have been killed a while ago so that this wouldn't happen to her, but now she couldn't disobey an order. Had it been any other person she would have happily beheaded them there and then, but her heart was resisting extremely hard. She ignited her sabre, but was so conflicted that she had started visibly shaking. She stood in front of her father, who looked unusually calm.

"Is there a problem, Natasha?" Sasha said, knowing very well how hard it was for her.

Natasha made sure her mother couldn't see her face, as for the first time in years she looked genuinely heartbroken and had tears flowing from her eyes, which surprised her father, but at the same time showed him that she was still his daughter deep down. The knowledge that his daughter still loved him seemed to give him some closure, which brought a smile to his face. He therefore bent his neck down, prepared for his life to end.

"Your mother would have been happy to see that you're alive and well." He said. "I'm sad that you chose this path, but as my daughter I can only wish you a happy life."

His words very much touched her. She wanted to tell him that she loved him, but she just couldn't manage to say anything, though it appeared she didn't have to.

"I love you too, Anne. And your mother does too." He said. "Just do it."

Her breathing had gotten shallow and fast and she started to choke, but eventually she got it over with. She stabbed him through the heart, then deactivated her sabre, letting him fall to the ground. She held him close as he breathed his last breaths, though it seemed he was happy to die in his daughter's arms. Only seconds later, his body went limp and all the life escaped from his eyes, leaving Natasha to grieve heavily. Sasha just watched her for a few minutes, before walking to her and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"We will have the body cremated. You should g-"

"No!" Natasha exclaimed, cutting her off. "I want him buried..."

She was very opposed to having his body destroyed like her mother's was. She wanted it preserved and buried like a proper human being. Moments later, various servants came in to retrieve it, with Sasha giving them orders to clean the body and have it preserved. Natasha would be the one to decide how and where it would be buried. With that, Sasha sent her daughter away. Natasha went straight to her room silently, staring blankly at a wall.

Eventually, her anger and grief got the best of her, making her throw various items across her room in a blind rage, even managing to break her light sabre in the process, revealing the clear crystal inside of it. She didn't notice this at first, too angry and erratic to. She only noticed several hours later, picking up the clear crystal and looking at it. In her heart she had developed a hatred that wouldn't go away, towards herself and even partly towards Sasha. The more and more she thought about it and the more hate she began to feel, the more the little crystal in her hand began to vibrate until finally, it seemed to develop a crack and slowly turn red, like it was starting to bleed.

The Next Day, Catherine's Palace, Leningrad

Natasha woke up early in the morning for her usual routine, though she didn't eat. She went to her bathroom to bathe, taking a moment to look at herself in the mirror once she came out of the shower. Her eyes had turned a shade of dark red and yellow, though she wasn't alarmed. She simply went back to her room to dress, picked up her rebuilt sabre, and went to go to her training facilities downstairs. As per usual, her sister Trisha was there already taking a break from training with the robots made for her. She felt very cold the moment Natasha arrived on that floor, a feeling that was very ominous. When the door opened and she saw Natasha, she noticed immediately the change in her eyes and in her personality, though she said nothing to her. Natasha walked towards her, not looking angry or happy. Just simply...there.

"We are going to continue your sparring lessons today." Natasha said, igniting her sabre.

Shockingly for Trisha, it had become a crimson red color, which was quite frightening. Regardless, she simply followed her instructions. Sparring that day was somehow different than before. Natasha was much harder on her and didn't care if she accidentally burned Trisha somewhere. Clearly something had changed inside her sister for the worse, though regardless of what it was, it likely could never be undone.

Elsewhere in the country, Prince Artem lay in the bedroom of one of his private palaces, surrounded by various unclothed women, many of which were the wives, daughters, and sisters of the men he had led Trisha and Natasha to. He was very much enjoying himself, though was surprised when his mother suddenly appeared before him, not very much caring about her surroundings.

"You did well to find those men's whereabouts." Sasha said, taking a seat.

"Thank you, Mother." He replied, sitting up to face her.

"That being said, chances are there are still elements that are working to bring down the established Empire." She said, making a glass of wine appear in her hand. "I am no longer the acting Empress of this country. That title has gone to your sister, Lelia. You are to follow her orders, no matter what they may be, am I clear?"

Her son simply nodded, though if he knew his sister, he couldn't wait to see what kinds of horrifying orders he might receive. He was quite looking forward to it.

"With me stepping down as Empress, chances are we can expect any anti-monarchist forces to make their moves. They'll perceive Lelia as young and weak." Sasha said. "I expect you and your siblings to support her. It will not be easy, but you'll succeed if you play your cards right."

She stood up to leave, thinking about where to go from there. Ideally she wanted another few Inquisitors to work under her, though after seeing what happened to Natasha, she wondered if a new form of training might be necessary to make them as strong as she had become. Only time would tell. She was also concerning herself with minor things like their names. As they no longer strictly worked for the government, nor was their only job finding terrorists, she might need a new name for them. Or her religious sect in general. It was fun to think about as she left her son to indulge himself in what used to be the women of other men.

More importantly, she was looking forward to being out of the public's attention. Free to do as she pleased and go where she pleased and simply enjoy the perks of being worshiped. And at the same time, it would be fun to now watch her descendants rule the country. Just thinking of the mistakes they'd make or the wars they'd wage made her excited. Of course, there were other serious matters to attend to such as her wife's mortality, but it would hopefully be a wile until she had to think about that.

As she disappeared from her son's room, a name for her religion came into her head.

              "Sith. What a splendid name."

Overlord67 wrote:As the hours counted down the final checks throughout the fleet went about as normally they would.

The bridge of all ships fell almost completely silent as launch began apart from the communications of various engineers reporting the various calibrations and statistics that were being monitored before passing through the actual gate. Upon the final Overlordian ship making its journey through the gate, the first of the Russian ships made its voyage into the unknown, followed one by one by the rest of the fleet. It was a surprisingly peaceful journey for those that had survived the trip. Or rather, it was so fast that any noise of vibration would have only lasted less than a mere second.

The command consoles on the bridge of VMF Imperator Aleksander IV lit up with various warnings immediately once it was pulled through the jump gate. The ship's sensors were initially discombobulated due to the nature of the jump and having issues pinpointing their location. However, after a few minutes, the computers on-board recalibrated and the warning lights disappeared, now displaying that the ship's critical and minor functions were online. Admiral Nicholas sat patiently in his chair, relieved that at least he was alive. As the ship was named after the sitting Monarch, Empress Sasha, it was believed to carry good luck, hence why he had it assigned as his flagship. Though not superstitious, he was suddenly glad he chose it.

      "Report."

"All systems are green. The vessel's computer systems have all recalibrated. We are reporting nausea from some crew mates, but it appears this will only be temporary."

      "Have we reached our destination?"

"According to the navigational computer, we are slightly off course. We are detecting two vessels nearby and are attempting to make contact with them."

Through a screen that displayed the outside of the ship, the admiral saw that one other ship was in their immediate vicinity. From the markings that had been painted on the ship, it was the cruiser VMF Admiral Makarov, a ship much smaller than the Unlike their own, it had received slight damage to the stern, but it appeared that it was still moving and would be able to be repaired with enough time.

It was concerning that they could only know where three ships of their fleet were. And they had yet to receive contact from their Overlordian counterparts. For all they knew, they were the only ships that survived the journey.

"Sir, we have contacted VMF Admiral Makarov. They are reporting minor damage to weapons systems, but are otherwise fully functional. They have made contact with the other vessel. It is Imperator Catherine II. It has received damage. A stress due to an impact with a small asteroid. However their power units are fully functional and there has been no loss of crew."

Nicholas sighed with relief. At least the two nearby ships were somewhat functional, though he knew that chances were the same could not be said of the other vessels most likely. And he was correct. Elsewhere in that same galaxy, a total of 4 of the initial 17 ships having been completely or partially destroyed, all of which due to warping into a space already occupied by another object, be it an asteroid, a planet, or a star.

Six ships had suffered damages that were somewhat significant, among them the battlecruiser Imperator Illyushin I, which had significant damage to the underside of the hull, but was otherwise still functional, with air locks having been able to stop the vacuum of space from sucking out too much of the crew.

In total, 4 ships had been lost entirely. 6 had suffered significant damage, but had their issues mitigated and remained operational. 3 suffered minor damage that was deemed negligible. 4 had come out unscathed, among them the fleet's flagship.

However, they were not all in the same location, so their primary objective was regrouping with the rest of the Russian fleet while at the same time attempting to locate at least part of the Overlordian fleet.

Well I need to think about one to begin with... Perhaps history should be a good one to do...

The year following the abdication of Empress Sasha and the coronation of her successor, her daughter Empress Lelia, saw quite a few changes to the way the country was ran. An even greater focus on military power was created by her orders, leading to the development of several new weapons, including a new generation of WMDs, even nuclear weapons. At the same time, some of the nation's laws were relaxed, allowing the population more freedom to do as they pleased. However, the use of a more militarized police force was also implemented, meaning those who did break the law would be quickly arrested and punished quite hard.

Additionally, the nation had greatly increased the rate in which "undesirables" were exterminated, with much less care taken to their human rights and more focus placed on simply exterminating them as quickly and cost effectively as possible. The process of this genocide, which further extended to anyone with a certain ratio of German blood found in them, was not much hidden from the public, though at that point much of the public did believe wholeheartedly in what their leadership was doing. The result was a vast decrease in the amount of money spent on the genocide, while at the same time the rate of extermination and processing of the possessions of those killed increased just as dramatically.

Another change made was a bold order Lelia made, in which the official religion of the country was solidified as the Order of Sith, in which her mother Sasha was worshiped as a goddess. A large part of the nation already followed this religion, but a large part also followed other religions such as Islam. These people worried that they could be discriminated against for their beliefs. And after seeing how the nation, and more recently Empress Lelia, had so ruthlessly killed billions that the nation deemed unnecessary or threats to the state. If the government suddenly decided that other religions were a threat, they could be subjected to persecution. Not only that, but many believed it would give Sasha even more control over the country despite not technically being its leader anymore. For many in the south, the amount of control the Russian government had over so many aspects of life, the perception and general belief that everyone and their possessions belonged to Empress Lelia and more specifically Empress Sasha, as well as the vast territory it controlled made them see the Empire as simply a rebranded Soviet Union

All of this made certain elements within the country very uneasy. Especially combined with the various rumors about some of the new Empress's habits in her palace. She was rumored to be quite cruel and took delight in the strangest things, though no such rumors could really be confirmed. Regardless, rumors along with the country's current and past actions were enough to spur several people into believing that a change in leadership was required. Talk of such a coup had been floating around for several years, but there was a general consensus that Empress Sasha was too strong and therefore it wouldn't be successful. With a young successor taking her place, they believed they could topple the established regime and bring about change.

Governor Toma Qasim's private estate, Tehran, Iran Province.

Various black, luxurious vehicles drove through the gates that led to Qajar Palace, the building that had been assigned to the governors of the Iranian province after the Russian conquest of the territory. The current governor being Toma Qasim, a former Iranian journalist who had reported on the front lines during the country's was with what at the time was official known as the Royal Federation, but was more commonly simply known as Russia, or as they were often called in Arabian countries, Soviets. He chose to become a politician following the war and was elected by the populace of Iran for his apparent lack of fear of the Russian leadership, even going so far as to criticize Empress Sasha over her continued conquest across Asia, as well as how the Empire handled its conquest of India, calling it "barbaric".

In fact he was part of a growing number of lesser leaders within the Empire that had called for an end to the country's imperialistic practices, most of these voices coming from the southern Arabian parts of the country. Many even began talks of performing a coup, a discussion that was ultimately decided to be too risky due to Sasha being the sitting monarch. However with Sasha having been replaced by her daughter, who they perceived as even worse of a dictator, it was decided that they would need to act fast before they believed she would acquire her full confidence as Empress. It was for this reason that they were meeting in Qajar Palace.

Several figures were escorted by armed guards into the palace. Inside, they were led to a massive dining room, in the middle of which was a table proportionally just as large. It was laden with delicious foods and various alcohols, more than enough for everyone to eat a generous amount. A total of six individuals gathered at the table, each with two armed guards. Four of them were similarly looking middle aged men of Arabic descent, all wearing the traditional kandora and keffiyeh. The other two were women, both Arabic, wearing long sleeved dresses along with slightly transparent veils over their faces. Once they were all seated, they waited for a few minutes for their host to arrive, in the meanwhile making small talk regarding their individual preparations for that day. They did not have to wait long, as the Iranian governor soon walked into the dining hall, where he took his place at the end of the table, addressing each one of his colleagues.

"Governors Qamar Burki of Arabia, Qadim Ahmed of Afghanistan, Salih Nazir of Yemen, Razeen al-Hameed of Oman, Hishma el-Sadri of the Qatar, and Taaliah Hamad of Kuwait. I thank you very much for gracing me with your presence here tonight." Qasim began. "While I wish we could have all met under different circumstances, unfortunately the day we've been working for for so long has finally come. I thought it best to at least treat you to a good dinner while we speak. It's the least I could do to thank you for your long journey. Please, eat."

The six governors bowed towards him and each began to eat their meals. They ate more or less merrily for several minutes before Governor Qasim finally began speaking of the elephant in the room.

"Following our feast, our proclamation of independence and the formation of the Democratic Republic of Southwest Asia will be finalized..." He said.

"There is little chance that the Soviets will take this lying down." Governor Razeen said. "It will effectively become a civil war."

"The Soviets seem to be aware that this was coming." Burki said. "I have witnessed the Soviet military pulling several pieces of weaponry and personnel out of Arabia. I'm sure the same has been done to the rest of your provinces that have agreed to our secession."

The other governors nodded, all having noticing the same things.

"How have discussions with Germany gone?" Nazir asked. "They're the strongest country in Europe besides the Soviets."

"They've agreed to supply us with weaponry, but don't want to attack the Empire immediately." Qasim responded. "Especially with the Soviet alliance with the Overlordians down south, it makes the Germans uneasy. I tried to reassure them that the Overlordians would not interfere in what is technically an internal Russian affair, but it was to no avail."

"As long as the Overlordians don't consider it a hostile attack by a foreign power, then we have a chance." Taaliah said, speaking in a quiet voice. "With some luck and correct strategy, we can succeed. However, we also need a plan of action should we fail. Fleeing to Iraq is not likely an option if Germany does indeed go to war with the Soviets. I believe fleeing to Egypt would be the safest option since they have no relations with the Soviets at the moment."

"You're probably correct." Hishma replied, sighing. "It seems the Emirates are still refusing to join us. We'll have to handle them as quickly as possible. As well as contacting the few allies we have in the country. Especially India."

"The Russian general in command of India will assist us, so we don't have to worry about that for now." Ahmed said.

A silence fell over them as they thought of what was happening. In only a few minutes at midnight, their proclamation of independence would be broadcast to the Russian Empire and the world. It was very nerve wracking considering the sort of adversity they would be facing. Chances were that failure would mean execution or worse, but by then it was already too late to turn back.

    Catherine's Palace, Leningrad, Slavia Province

At five minutes past midnight, a member of the KGB rushed through the halls of the palace in search of Empress Lelia. Much of the population of the northern parts of the Empire were in outrage over the recent announcement of what the Russian media and government portrayed as treacherous traitors. Of course, the intelligence community and higher ups within the government already knew that this was coming and had prepared for the inevitable civil war it would cause, but regardless it was a very stressful situation regardless of how prepared they were.

The KGB agent found Empress Lelia laying on a giant sofa in her garden surrounded by maids to attend to her every desire, which at that particular moment meant feeding her whatever she liked. Being Sasha's daughter, she inherited her inhuman size, making the humans around her look incredibly tiny. It was therefore a challenge for them to do everything she asked, though to the agent's eye, they all appeared almost hypnotized to do her bidding, though by that point the agent was used to seeing that from Lelia. Once the Empress noticed him, she waved and had her maids leave them alone before addressing him.

"You've come to see me without prior notification. I remember sending out a memo about doing so." She said, looking him in the eye. "How am I supposed to punish you, hm?"

The agent looked frightened, but retained his composure and professionalism. He knew all too well how terrifying it was to be around her, just like her mother, if not more so.

"Your Majesty, this matter was fairly urgent. As we informed you upon your coronation, it appears several southern states are attempting a rebellion." He said. "Recently they hav-"

"I already know." Lelia said, cutting him off. "My mother informed me that this would happen. Statistically speaking, the rebels are not a threat. They have no military power that is significant to me even with the assistance they are likely receiving from Germany. In fact I have ordered the military to focus more on impending German intervention than the rebels themselves."

"I...I see. Regardless, it would make those of us in the intelligence community more comfortable if you would attend the upcoming briefing, Your Majesty."

"If it would make you all stop crying to me over every little problem...very well." She said, sighing. "I'll save your punishment for later.'

She smiled at him, though to him it looked sadistic and made him dread being anywhere near her again. Regardless, she picked up the dress she had left hanging on a branch near her and dressed up before following him out of the garden and boarded her private jet to travel to Moscow, where she'd host a discussion between the high ranking members of the Russian military that had been determined to be loyal to the Empire. She was frighteningly nonchalant about the whole thing, like she found it more amusing than an actual national security crisis.

All the while, the nation's military already began mobilization against enemy forces, even taking the opportunity to push beyond the country's border with the German Empire, starting a war with the neigbouring empire as well. Yet again, the nation was at war, with the sitting Empress looking forward to her first official victory, following in her divine mother's footsteps. She thought vanquishing one of Russia's most bitter enemies would be a good start to her reign, serving to make her excited. It wouldn't be long until the first shots of the civil war and war with Germany would be fired, properly ushering in her reign as Empress.

    Palace of Versailles, Paris, EIF.

The Imperial Palace of Versailles, symbol of the now gone French Royalty from the late stages of the Capetian Dynasty. Ever since The French Revolution of 1848 which brought the House of De La Croix to power after defeating the Bonapartist Faction and making compromises with the Republicans, Orleanists and the former defeated Bonapartists; Making sure to establish a massive coalition that searched for the benefit of France and it's people taking big steps on the emancipation of women's with them being on equal footing with men's alongside other rights such as universal suffrage for everyone, giving a massive boost to the new People's Monarchy. Those were a few of the steps they did of course, but there were many more, but of course, today that wasn't what should be talked about and it was for another day.

In that palace an emergency cabinet meeting was called to assess the recent 2nd Russian Civil War which broke out in the Muslim territories of The Empire. The situation demanded quick action and an intervention was on order, the question was how?

All important Government and Imperial Military officers were called by Her Imperial Majesty to settle that down and prepare mobilization, the proposals were simple and quick, however, there were also fears of war with The Latins to the east and as such; most resources shall that happen must be kept in European Territory while a sizable and acceptable force is sent to the russian territories aid in the war effort. That was defined entirely for all the presents there; but, there was a problem.

There were concerns that with rebels controlling a great part of the southern territories, logistics would be complicated and forcing the European Forces having to go through the Russian mainland and having to deal with the Iranian Mountains before making any advances through the Arabian Peninsula, of course that if an landing campaign wasn't possible, and there weren't any possibilities of it happening unless a certain amount of conditions let it happen.

In other words, things were set since the beginning in a way, but there was a lot to talk about still. There were three ministers, Four Military Officers and Two Intelligence Officers; The Minister of Economy Frederick Ludenft; The Minister of Foreign Affairs Francesca Artemis; The Minister of Defence Victor Descnot; Field Marshal of The Imperial Army Sophia Watson, Admiral of The Imperial Navy Marion D'Blanc; Air Field Marshal of The Imperial Air Force Viveka Adler, IESIA Chief Director Alice Walker; And Chief Director of the Imperial Communications Intelligence Agency (ICIA) Lorenzo Di Flore. All related one way or another to the intervention in the civil war.

All of them found themselves in a private room below the gardens of the palace that was used as a bunker during wartime to hide any valuable work of art and culture alongside human lives.

"Situation is complicated as of now in Russia." IESIA Chief Director spoke, opening with her hand a hologram with all information regarding the insurrection and the causes of it alongside any possible external actors involved in the rebellion, both for and against it.

"Causes are varied and far too many, but we have been able to pin them at key issues that had been happening over the last ten years. The first one would be The Order of Sith..." Director Walker explained while the hologram focused in the emblem of the Order and the god they followed... Empress... "Her Emeritus Majesty of Russia, Sasha Khavarov..."

Everyone there looked at it in without moving an inch, the move was already expected for quite sometime now but still; It was a surprise that it happened.

"The Order has grow to become one of Aerth's biggest religions if not the biggest one..." The hologram was then expanded to focus on the armed wing of the sect, it's Holy Guard and the most worrying aspect of the organization and one that hasn't go unnoticed by one of Moscow's most loyal allies even if it didn't affected them.

"The inquisitors, The Holy Guard that defends The Russian Imperial Family, and serve as a paramilitary arm for the Russian Government and The Order, we don't fully know the amount of Inquisitors active, but we know well that there are between half-dozen to a dozen of them possibly active." She explained while the hologram begun to focus in the next cause.

The next was related to the famous undesirables of Russia, in general and mostly Germans and Indians, showing images of the ethnic groups alongside of the concentration camps for both groups, the former took years of investigation before confirming what happened in Eastern Europe, it was worrying that such campaign happened, but those were Russian Affairs entirely and they shouldn't get involved on them.

"The Iranian Government protested about the invasion of India as barbaric alongside their genocide, we can understand the reasons of such protest considering the situation." Lady Walker explained while the image focused on the german concentration camps. "Those images are from 8 to 10 years ago, it took a little while to see the pattern but we can now confirm those were concentration camps for Germans; This confirms the theory about the terrorist group La Vergessene being made mostly of Germans, they were created in response to what happened in Eastern Europe."

Everyone there looked at the pictures as they were in shock from them, even so it would be hypocrite to criticize their allies for something they also did years ago too.

The hologram then switched to the new head of state; Her Imperial Majesty of Russia, Lelia. She was the next cause of the war thanks to the rumours that exist about her.

"Her Imperial Majesty of Russia. She has been the other cause thanks to her actions: Massive military spending and construction of a new generation of WMD's, Even more military power and, rumours, that talked about the more personal affairs of her such as Sadism, Delight on strange things and so on... Some compare her to being the reincarnation of Stalin with some even pointing to worse people." The latter did raised the eyes of everyone present excepting Her Majesty, now that they got a bigger picture of things they could really see what was happening.

"So... Let me get this straight Director Walker, you are informing us that a religion taken out of Star Wars has been one of the causes to two that are much serious??" The Minister of Foreign Affairs asked as her Defence counterpart answered.

"It isn't the name that worries Lady Francesca, but rather the recent actions of the Russians that could point to an possible persecution of other religions if they step out of the line." Sir Victor answered while their focus was on that hologram and kept talking about it, meanwhile the rest looked at the rest of information to figure out what should the best course of action be; until a call was recived by The Prime Minister.

As soon as it was answered, an hologram of her appeared in front of everyone with urgent news regarding the recent events.

"If I could recive your attention..." She spoke on a serious tone as everyone shut their mouths and focued on her and only her. "Thanks... If the Field Marshal and Air Marshal could open their holo glasses to check the needed information." As soon as she said that, both officers opened their glasses and found images that surprised them.

Then they were passed to the table and from that area everyone was shocked...

"T-the Russians... They are..." Everyone there couldn't believe the moves they were seeing, with Marshal Adler also trying to make any sense of it as they saw something surprising.

"They are invading the Germans rather than focusing on their rebellion or revolution in the middle east, it's an entire risk that would not pay off if the Germans defend like the last war." Her Majesty spoke as everyone saw the massive mobilization to their western front rather than the middle east.

That made everyone present in the room and communication take a quick decision.

"I want the entire military mobilized for war in the german and middle eastern fronts, we must support our allies while also evade that the Le Vergessene grows once again and in massive numbers." As soon as the orders were given they would be done, with everyone bowing to Her Majesty's orders and leaving to get working on it.

      Allied Intervention

The European Imperial Government has announced their support for their Russian Allies with the Imperial Military already mobilizing their forces to Russia and the German Border to assist in both campaigns. It is expected that this move will be seen as one that will further warm the already established alliance between both nations and cooperate more closely.

Xanathium wrote:The bridge of all ships fell almost completely silent as launch began apart from the communications of various engineers reporting the various calibrations and statistics that were being monitored before passing through the actual gate.

Space

The OSS Tiberion engaged it's sublight engines to full power and quickly accelerated to the nearest planet. A beacon had been detected on the long range sensors indicating an Overlordian vessel was in distress. The beacon belonged to the OSS Spire, which had suffered critical damage upon entry into the Galaxy and fallen into the planets gravity well. Though unlikely the OSS Tiberion was duty bound to search and rescue any survivors as well as scavenge and scuttle anything that remained of the Battle-Cruiser.

Eight Lightyears from their location the planet designated gatehouse was now orbited by two of the Overlordian warships. The OSS Ronin and OSS Daxos. both ships had suffered minor damage but were otherwise perfectly operational.

Already they had begun to establish themselves in the system. The OSS Ronin was an established guard dog, carrying defensive platforms for defense of the gate such as automatic drones and sensor equipment. The OSS Daxos was a designated work ship, carrying hundreds of tons of supplies for the gates construction. Thus the Ronin begun to deploy it's stockpile and set up the ground base while the Daxos began unloading equipment and attempting to contact the rest of the fleet.

Several other Overlordian vessels were also on their way to the Gatehouse location, deploying their long range sensor probes and creating their circle of defense around the gatehouse location.

The OSS Tiberion meanwhile arrived in the planets orbit after 9 hours at maximum sublight. They slowed once they came within close range sensor range and established themselves in the planets orbit.

    ______________

The Captain stood infront of the primary display screen of the bridge. The screen displayed one of the cameras mounted to the outside, giving the impression that the screen was a giant window gazing out from the deck of the ship towards the nearby planet.

"Lifesigns?"

"The planet seems capable of sustaining life sir, but so far we haven't detected anything."

"The magnetic field of the planet is throwing off our sensors sir, according to this there are no lifesigns aboard our ship."

The Captain glanced back at the display, noting the lack of any signal despite the fact he knew for a fact he was still alive and so were his crew.

"Is there any way to boost the signal?"

"Not without raising the shields sir. And if we do that we won't be able to detect anything on the surface. We're blind to what's on the surface sir."

The Captain took a step away from his screen, changing the display to his ship status.

"For all we know there could be anything waiting for us down there then. Usually we'd order a more cautious approach...is the distress signal still broadcasting?"

"Yes sir, location is remaining steady."

"Then we will have little choice. Prepare the away team."

"They are in the shuttle bay already sir."

"Excellent. Display comms and visual on the forward display. We want constant updates. Have medical on standby and prepare a second away team for further extraction and aid."

As he spoke the shuttle departed from the hangar bays, displayed on the screen as the 8 man away team departed to the surface to begin the process of locating the exact wreckage of the ship and attempting to rescue the remaining survivors. Little known to them or the ships crew that they were no longer the only ones interested in the signal being broadcast from the wrecked ship.

Overlordian Androids

With the massive global success of the Hybrid human market for several decades producing billions in revenue for Overlordian companies the next big step was to find another desire for citizens of the globe. The sales of hybrids proved that the market was willing enough to accept a product created in Overlordia. It also proved that many citizens of the globe would be willing to spend money for a long term product. One with little chance of generating their own wealth but would instead work to make their lives easier and provide a personal touch of service.

It is now known however that hybrids themselves had several drawbacks that have made them a less desirable product for many people. For one hybrids themselves are individuals with their own ability to think, and thus often developed complex social lives that reduced their desired traits for the client. Some even broke their restraining chips and managed to break away and live and reproduce on their own, which was not at all intended. And with hybrids rights activists and governments creating hybrid equality laws all over the globe a new product without these drawbacks needed to be produced.

To solve these issues Overlordian companies turned to what many of them knew best, mechanics. Many Overlordian companies specialize in making machines. In particular success The Overlordian Peacekeeper, which has been produced for decades as a standing and lasting design for combat and control. This design infact was the inspiration that lead to the creation of the new Overlordian product.

We are now pleased to sell to the world at full scale sale a brand new product for the home and for the lives of your global citizens. The Overlordian Android!

The AI is also equipped with a restraining bolt built in to prevent the learning algorithm from allowing it the ability to freely think or disobey the commands given by the owner. Nor can they disobey the base programming of the AI, which will prevent them from ever harming a human being.

The Android will run on internal battery, capable of running without end for up to one weeks time, however can easily be recharged by placing an adapter into a home wall socket. Replacement parts will be sold to customers at an as needed basis, and every Android comes with a customer satisfaction guaranteed warranty lasting ten years.

Well, it's just a bit grim and crude than IRL... I mean, as much as close as you can get with Aliens, Advanced Nations and so on...

That's a fair point too... Now regarding the actual one... Yeah... 50/50

Xanathium wrote:

Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku, Azerbaijan Oblast

The sun had already set in the clear sky, painting the horizon in a rich red/orange hue, contrasting with the royal blue the rest of the sky had become. Traffic to the large international airport was forced to move to the side of the road as a government motorcade sped towards the terminal. They all drove immediately to the runway, with the massive jet belonging to the nation's monarch waiting patiently on the runway. The armored vehicles, numbering eight in total, all stopped near the jet, at which point the drivers came out and opened the doors.

Several high ranking members of the Russian government or military stepped out of each car. Out of the last car stepped Empress Lelia herself, wearing a white dress with the Russian red star pinned to the center of her chest, much like her mother often wore. She walked forward towards her plane, though stopped when she noticed who was waiting for her. Her sister Natasha wearing her uniform was waiting at the top of the stairs that led to the plane's door.

Once everyone had walked inside, the stairs were taken away and the pilots informed everyone to take their seats. Lelia went to her private quarters of the jet, with Natasha following her silently. Once they were alone, she finally removed her helmet and took a seat on a chair, her now orange eyes waiting for Lelia to make herself comfortable. Once Lelia had sat down and poured them both drinks, she finally said something.

"Didn't expect to see you here, Nat. What's the occasion?" She asked.

"Mother thought it best that I provide some security." Natasha replied, sipping vodka. "Baku is already at risk from the rebels. It wasn't exactly safe for you to be here."

Lelia just sighed, leaning back in her chair.

"Coming to a place so close to the battle is good for morale. One of these days, mother will have to realize that I can take care of myself." She said, chuckling a little. "Still, it's good to see you."

Natasha was silent, just continuing to drink calmly.

"How did the meeting go then?"

"The regional governor is afraid of impending invasion by the rebels." Lelia said, though she spoke nonchalantly. "He wants us to spend less resources on Germany and more resources on defending the south."

    "And?"

"General Rebecca has expressed her belief that this is a prime opportunity to march on Berlin." Lelia said.

"Rebecca, huh? She's one of Helena's daughters right?" Natasha asked. "I'm not surprised she's so gung-ho about conquering Germany given her background."

"Absolutely. She's just as ferocious as both her parents. What's more, I think she's excited since she'll have the chance to work with the French." Lelia said.

"The EIF is getting involved? I'm surprised you're allowing this considering your greed." Nat said.

It was the sort of comment Lelia could potentially kill someone over, but due to the two of them being sisters and good friends, she just took it as a joke.

"Well I want to live up to mother's glory, you know? But at the same time, victory is what's most important. Our European allies can assure that." She said. "More importantly, think about how it would look if this country conquered such vast territory so close to our French allies. They could be threatened. I want to show them that we mean no harm to them. Sure, it might mean that we end up giving up a little it more territory, but I believe that it's worth it."

Natasha fell silent, choosing not to argue about that sort of thing. As much as she had studied just about everything there was to know, politics and international relations definitely wasn't the thing she enjoyed speaking about most. However, Lelia appeared to be enjoying their talk, so didn't let the silence persist for too long.

"You usually complete missions with Trisha nowadays. Where is she now?" She asked.

Natasha thought for a few moments, remembering the last time she and Trisha had been summoned before Sasha.

"She was already sent to India to assist in espionage and assassination. Along with general enforcement of Russian law and supervision of death camps." She said calmly. "She'll likely remain there for the duration of the civil war. From what I've heard she is really enjoying herself. Even giving some of the scum the honor of being executed by her hand."

"My my, how generous she is. She always was the softy between us siblings." Lelia said, being quite bubbly despite the subject. "Is mother not going to send you to Germany? I'm sure you're itching to get your hands dirty too."

"I go where I'm ordered to go by my master. I am happy to go anywhere and do anything for her." Natasha replied. "That said..."

A rather sadistic smile crept onto her face as she thought of going to Germany, something she had dreamed of for years by then.

"...being sent to Germany would probably be a lot of fun..."

      Six Months Later.

      The Moscow Kremlin

"Her Majesty was right about the South and Germany."

"She is Sasha's daughter after all. To be the daughter of a goddess, their instinct for war is almost unnatural."

"Do you really believe Sasha is actually a goddess?"

"What are you crazy?! You can't say that in this building! And besides...you've seen how gigantic that woman is. And she looks just as young now as she did 50 years ago. At the very least she's clearly not human..."

"All her children as well. They're all so big and yet they're so young. Lelia in particular...dwarfs the rest."

A group of people sat around a table waiting for their leader to arrive. All of them high ranking members of the military who had been summoned to deliver updates regarding the situation in the south and the ongoing war with Germany. Many of the men in the room were discussing the Empress and her mother. As well as the siblings that they had seen very rarely. Normally they'd never speak of Sasha or her family in such a way, but seeing as Lelia was late to the meeting, they had a bit more free reign, though many still said nothing.

"Rebecca, Tomoe, you've both been silent. Don't you have anything to say while we have a bit of freedom?" One of them asked.

Rebecca, the daughter of Helena Ibramovic, scowled at the man who addressed her. Clearly she had inherited the traits of Helena more so than Svietlana. Her eyes and hair both were red and her skin was pale, though she was also taller than her mother. She had also inherited Helena's sharp tongue and harsh personality.

"Shut your mouth. I have better things to think about than the ramblings of foolish old men." She said.

Tomoe remained silent as she sat next to Rebecca, her eyes closed as she listened to what was said. Despite her personality and Rebecca's being quite different, both managed to make some of the older generals in the room quite angry. None of them liked the idea of people so young having such powerful positions, even if both Rebecca and Tomoe had been proven more than capable of handling their work. In Tomoe's case, it didn't exactly help that she was Japanese. Nor was she entirely human either. Her condescending attitude infuriated some of the people there, making them start gossiping rather openly about them.

"I bet you Rebecca only has her position because she's a childhood friend of Lelia." One of them said. "Not to mention her mother is childhood friends with Empress Sasha. She was basically born into this position."

"Yeah but at least she's Russian. Lady Tomoe over there is a Jap. We should have wiped them out years ago. They're just like the Germans if you ask me."

"I heard shes got a thing going with that one French woman who was in the Navy. The Queen now."

"She couldn't even have the decency to marry a Russian man? Well I guess it's not too bad. As long as the blood of those of us in the north isn't diluted, it's probably a good thing if the Japs don't mingle too much."

Throughout this whole conversation, Tomoe had never moved from her position, her eyes remaining closed the whole time. Rebecca was grinding her teeth in anger, but had been told by her mother before to hold her temper back, which she did by eating sweets. Even despite everything that was being said.

"Listen here, Tomoe. Even if Sasha gave you your position and Lelia is letting you keep it, you make one slip u-"

The man talking was cut off by the door to the room suddenly opening, with the sitting Empress Lelia standing just behind it. She walked inside and had the door close behind her, with all the generals and admirals that were previously talking falling dead silent. Lelia went and sat on the large chair that had been prepared for her, getting comfortable before looking around the room.

"Pardon my tardiness. My mother wished to speak with me about a few matters. You may begin your briefing."

With this order given, Rebecca began to speak first, seeing as most of everyone else seemed afraid to. As predicted, the rebellious forces to the south had proven to be a minor threat in the grand scheme of things. Field Marshal Peter, the man who had threatened Tomoe earlier, had managed to have his armies capture the city of Tehran, or so he had reported. In reality he had had little to do with the actual positioning of the armies, having instead his subordinates such as Rebecca do it, though he claimed the credit. In contrast to the earlier half of the century when the country was very often at war with adversaries of similar power, recent times had meant that people such as him had risen to such positions following their predecessor's retirement.

Despite not receiving credit however, Rebecca continued to describe the army situation to her leader and childhood friend. As well as the armies dealing with secessionists in the south, a branch had also been sent into German controlled Iraqi territory through the Caucasus. In the north the Russian armies had also pushed quite deep into Germany's territory, capturing Romania and eastern Poland whilst pushing into Greece. The entire discussion about the army's exploits alone too several hours, by the end of which Rebecca and the few others who assisted in her briefing were quite tired. Empress Lelia appeared to not be fatigued at all, instead just nodding and looking to the Navy and Air Force commanders for their reports.

As soon as the Navy was addressed, Tomoe's eyes rather lazily opened and she started describing the movements of her forces. In essence, she simply had them bombard the secessionist territories, though made a point to avoid the cities themselves and instead aim for oil refineries and air bases. Her breifing lasted less than an hour, possibly due to the fact that she was so lethargic and wanted to get it over with. So lethargic in fact that as soon as she was done her eyes closed again while the various heads of the air force described their own operations, which in comparison to the Navy were quite extensive due to their constant bombing behind any borders.

"Seems I was correct then about the secessionists being of little importance." Lelia said, once everyone was done. "And the fact that they're receiving assistance from Germany allows us to knock out those filth as well. Seems we were quite blessed. I expect a conclusion to this war within the next two years. You are all dismissed. We'll meet again to further discuss strategy in approximately two months."

Everyone nodded and began funneling out of the room, though Lelia had Tomoe and Rebecca remain behind to talk for a little while.

"I apologize for how your peers and superiors are giving you trouble." Lelia said. "Normally I'd dispose of such people but seeing as we're in the middle of a war, perhaps it is best to wait."

"My only goal is keeping this country safe." Rebecca said. "If that means having old fools accept credit for my achievements then so be it."

"I guess you always were kind of mature back when we were kids." Lelia replied, chuckling. "From what I was told your mom would have killed that man for speaking to you that way."

"I wanted to kill them myself, but I didn't think you'd be too happy." She replied. "Besides, now isn't exactly the time to be picking fights with people."

"True. There will always be time for that after the war." Lelia said. "And what about you Tomoe. You were quite quiet the whole time."

The grey haired woman looked up at Lelia for a moment before yawning and deciding to say something.

"The cold climate here around this time of year doesn't exactly agree with my body." She said. "I'm just a little fatigued. And besides as long as he didn't insult Ms. Mervay, then I am perfectly content."

"Speaking of which, I'd like you to speak to her after this." Lelia said. "Seeing as you're so close with the sitting French queen, I'm sure you'd be going to visit her some time soon anyway. When you do, ask her for me about what exactly she'd like to do regarding Germany once the war ends. It gives you an excuse to go see her during this busy time, yes?"

Tomoe paused, but nodded after a few moments, quite looking forward to the opportunity.

"That's settled then. Both of you are doing very good jobs. You can expect pay raises once the war is over." Standing to leave.

The two women nodded to their leader, following her outside. Tomoe herself immediately went to the airport to go back to Japan and prepare for her trip to France. Rebecca on the other hand boarded a military flight to Warsaw to oversee the army's operations in the area, something she had been assigned to do by Lelia. Perhaps to give Rebecca a chance to show her worth without having credit stolen by her superiors.

Temporary Russian Military Installment, Outskirts of Warsaw, Poland

The plane carrying Rebecca landed on the makeshift runway near the city of Warsaw. In the distance she could hear the sounds of explosions as enemy forces were bombarded by Russian artillery units. Once the plane's door opened, she was immediately met by Natasha, who was to be her personal guard for the duration of her stay there. Of course, Rebecca did not know Natasha's actual identity and knew her only as the First Sister, with Sister being a title bestowed upon certain people by Sasha herself. She was led to the building that had been turned into the command center for the armies in that area. Rebecca sat down behind her desk then looked up at Natasha.

"I'm surprised Lelia even had the authority to assign you as a guard for me." She said. "What were you doing here before anyway?"

"I was tasked by Lord Sasha to hunt down any Germans hidden in our captured territory." Natasha said from behind her mask. "One of the most enjoyable assignments I have had to date."

"You seem to carry a stronger hate towards the Germans than most of us Russians." Rebecca said. "Care to elaborate?"

Natasha was silent for a few moments, then sat down and started messing around with a rubix cube, make it float in her hands while she was solving it.

"They are trash and stand in the way of Lord Sasha's dream of perfecting humanity." She said. "Few of them are worth keeping alive."

Rebecca didn't say anything for a few seconds, eventually just shrugging.

"I can't say I disagree. I care little for the Germans." She said. "I do what I do because I love my country and my people. And I want to make my mothers happy."

"Then we have similar motives." Nat said. "It's rather unfortunate that I can no longer hunt them down while you're here, but at the very least I was assigned to guard someone who is worth guarding. So tell me, how much German territory is to fall under Russian control after the war?"

"Empress Lelia has sent Lady Tomoe to speak with Queen Juliette about that very thing." Rebecca replied. "Chances are it is split half and half in Europe. What the French do with Germans in their land is out of our control."

It seemed to bother Natasha a little, but eventually she just nodded and continued messing with her rubix cube.

    "Hopefully they share our sentiment..."

      1 Month Later, Paris, EIF

Tomoe's private jet flew over the airspace above Paris, having given a request to the international airport to land. The purpose of Tomoe being there was quickly given to the French governemnt, with her jet landing at the airport and waiting on the runway for permission to taxi and have her brought to the Palace of Versailles.
