“I have to say Director, I’m very impressed by the design,” Lysithea said in her office, drinking some tea as she looked as a hologram projection of the new Praetor-class model. “It has a less...imperial look, which I think people will like.”
“I am glad to see it’s to your liking,” Director Krennic said, drinking tea as well, though with a lot less sugar. “As you’re well aware, these will of course will be replacing the Mk. 2s completely. Most of these ships have been in deployment since the Kapteynian War and despite everything, we’ve had many issues of them breaking down.”
“They’re only ten years old,” Lysithea pointed out.
“Of course, but as you may recall many of these ships took a beating during the conflict with the Kunkengans. Not to mention many of them were old space cruisers retrofitted during the war with the CIC. These new ships, I can assure you, can handle a lot more and have the same firepower and it’ll only be a fraction of the cost.”
Lysithea was silent for a moment. She did have fond memories of the Mk. 2s. Just seeing one in action, taking on one of the CIC’s own dreadnoughts was a sight seared into her memory. Still, it was like he said. They were older than most liked to admit and of course breaking down. “Alright Director, you may proceed. This will be the beginning of a new Ventus Prime, and a new fleet.”

With the announcement of a new Praetor Battlecruiser from VSI, the Cymiopolitan Space Force has announced that it intends to replace its current fleet Mk2 Praetors with 10 new Mk3 models. The old stock will be traded in once the order is ready to obtain a discounted price.

Distress Signal in the Unknown Regions.
A Maersk-class bulk Freighter with a skeleton crew was roaming the unknown regions of space with a damaged Hyperdrive, leaving the Freighter stranded with no nearby systems on the scanners.
Unable to contact the Imperial Fleet, they resorted to sending out a Distress Signal in hopes anyone would pick it up.

Insurgian Space Command launches first vessel of newest fleet into the Cosmos!
The first Anderson-class Carrier, dubbed "New Horizon", has been launched into space. The vessel is the first spacecraft to be launched with the sole intention of exploration, followed by immediate establishment and colonization. The vessel is host to 3,000 crew personnel, commanded by CAPT. Arthur Concord. Attached is the IDF's 2nd Expeditionary Battalion, commanded by LTC. William Reyes. New Horizon will begin a thirty-one-day trip to Canis Minor.
Captain Concord stood at the bridge, viewing the dark emptiness before him. The Moon sat in the distance.
"Captain, we're ready to enter warp, sir." the ship's driver informed the Captain.
The Captain hit a button on his chair, allowing the intercom to be live throughout the ship.
"New Horizon, this is your Captain speaking. In about sixty seconds, we will be stepping forth on the first journey in which we explore the abyss. To these ends, we shall either meet great wonders and answers to our most heinous questions...or similar annihilation to that which we have faced at home. To that I say, we will find whether or not we are truly worthy to be among the stars."
He released the button, taking his seat in the big chair.
"Nice speech, Arthur."
"Engines are hot, sir."
"Punch it."
Entering warp, New Horizon slipped forward into the darkness, leaving Earth in its dust.

Expeditionary Fleet number A3, lead by Commodore Ottoman Visory had exited Hyperspace a little sooner than expected. He and his Fleet consisting of a Kontos-class Frigate, four Virgil-class Corvettes and six Deimos-class Gunships began scanning the surrounding area.
"Where are we?" Ottoman asked.
"It would appear we are in the 
Ventus Prime System sir." A crewman responded.

A Ventuan patrol, consisting of two Nebula-class Star Destroyers, two Pelta-class frigates, and two Raider-class corvettes we’re making their rounds when sensors picked up something. “Captain Aegir, we’re picking up a small number of unknown ships about one parsec away.”
“Are they heavily armed?” Aegir asked.
“Only a few freighters and gunships.”
“Make a course to intercept. Better safe than sorry.”

“Should we prepare to leave sir?” A nearby crewman asked.
“No, This is where Supreme Commander Mhar wanted us.” Commodore Ottoman replied. There was a moment of silence on the command bridge as the puzzled crewman looked at one another.
“Sir, we have incoming Starships on our scanners.” Another crewman announced.
“Good..Right on time.” Ottoman added.

“Captain, the ships appear to be German Empire.”
“Open up a line,” Aegir said. “Send a message to HQ...just to be safe.”
“Imperial ships, this is Captain Aegir of the Starbird, you are currently in Republic space. State your business.”

The Ships started coming into view of the Commodore and his minuscule Fleet. ”They’ve begin hailing us sir.” A Crewman announced.
”Patch us through and get me a communicator, I’ll do the talking.” Ottoman replied. A nearby crewman passed him the small device.
“This is a commodore Ottoman Visory of Expeditionary Fleet A3. We are here on behalf of Supreme Commander Mhar in order to discuss terms.” Ottoman replied.

“Terms? I’m not sure what you mean, Commodore,” Aegir said. “There haven’t been any talks between our two leaders.”
“Cancel that order to HQ,” he whispered to his second-in-command. “I want you to get hold of the Chancellor immediately.”

“Supreme Commander Mhar was very specific with his orders. We’re here to discuss your occupation into Imperial Territory. It’s different as you know from full fledged Imperial Annexation.” Ottoman explained.

Unfriendly Visit?
Expeditionary Fleet A2 exited Hyperspace in the Jovian Lunar System near the planet of Callisto. Commodore Felix Musk stood aboard his Kontos-class Frigate overlooking the planet.
"Open up scanners and Infrom me when we have incoming ships. Organize the Fleet into a Defensive Formation." Musk ordered.
"Yes sir." His right hand responded. He then relayed the order down the line.
"No problem at all Captain. I know its hard news to bear if your unaware, but yes. A puppet Government will be implemented under the Imperial Order and together we will prosper as one under Imperial Territory." Ottoman said sort of happily.
Aegir couldn’t believe what he was hearing. If the Chancellor were present, he could already see her reaction. And while he was flabbergasted, he could read between the lines. It was a show of arrogance and also a hidden threat.
“I’m sorry Commodore, but even though I do not speak for my leader, I would have to decline and I believe she would do the same. The Republic is its own sovereignty and it will stay that way.”

Ottoman looked out at the Ventus Fleet with a now emotionless face. The communicator falling by his side in his hand. Some of the Crew aboard the Bridge looked at the Commodore with concern.
The Commodore slowly raised the communicator back to his face. "Are you refusing our proposal of Peace, Prosperity and Justice for the Order..." Ottoman responded.
He put the Communicator down and turned to the Comms station. "On my command." He hissed. All Weapon systems were trained on Aegir and his ship.
“Captain, they’re targeting us!”
If this were a game of numbers, the Germans would have the advantage. However, many often underestimate the Nebula and what it was capable of.
“I’m sorry Commodore, but our two nations have differing views of the word Peace.” He closed the transmission. “Everyone to their battle stations! All pilots report to their ships!”

"Now!" He demanded to the Comms Operator. "Open fire! Attack Formations immediately!" Ottoman added.
The Expeditionary Fleet only consisting of X1 Kontos-class Frigate, X4 Virgil-class Corvettes, and X6 Deimos-class Gunships launched the only Starfighters they had, which was 2 Starfighters and 2 Interceptors.
The Gunships would advance with the Starfighters, using their Quad-laser Cannons to help protect the Fighters from attack. They armed their Concussion Missile Launchers and began targeting the enemy Captains ship.
The Kantos began using its 11 Quad Turbolaser Cannons to assist in the Gunship/Starfighters advances. The Virgil-classes assisted as well with their Heavy Turbolasers
