The Culture vessels deployed their drones to lead the enemy ships away from the planet. They were picking up a pirate fleet and moved away to pursue the supposed pirate fleet towards a large gas giant planet , where The Allied Fleet waited hidden to ambush them.

After a few minutes to ensure that the enemy had taken the bait.
An science vessel of the Culture started to jam the planet's communications and sensors.
The Decepticoncybertron and Cinton were sent a signal to proceed to attack.

As the Flood capital vessels and their fighters escort were ambushed by the Culture's ships emerging from the clouds of gas.
Other Allied vessels then warped in and opened fire on the Flood vessels.

( Hope this makes sense, vaccine side effects have kicked in. )

The Culture vessels start using energy dissipation weapons. To render the enemy ships useless with varying degrees of success.
You notice a bomber type space craft, a Culture design, you have not seen before, deploy an object like a old depth charge.
Which Detonates a white pulse of light. Which causes the collapse of an nearby enemy vessel's shields and energy can be seen fluctuating around the vessel as moves out of control towards the Gas giant itself.
The Flood crew have to perform an emergency ejection of the warp core right into the the Gas giant.
The resulting explosion lighting up the clouds of gas like an Earth lightning storm.

The streets are let up with dazzling lights and celebratory décor all throughout the capital district. Massive crowds of all species and race cheer as much as they can for the event. The national anthem plays loudly and the brilliant banner of Vicavalas waves gallantly above the whole center. Tonight marks the beginning of a new administration that will serve the common folk for years to come. Tonight is the night of President-Elect Roderock's Inauguration.

A full hour of celebration and patriotism unfold all across the planet. The event is also broadcasted throughout every system across the Empire as well. After the crowd calms, she finally arrives at the since. A government U-Wing painted in the signature Scarlet and Black colors of the nation flies over the crowd at a timely pace, only causing the crowd to erupt in cheering. The ship then lands elegantly in the center of the plaza just close to the President's podium where the former president, chairman, the Empress' middle child Myzon, and a few other high-ranking officials wait patiently.

The U-Wing's main door opens, revealing President-Elect Caelia J. Roderock in all of her glory. She struts slowly over to the podium wearing a beautiful handcrafted silk dress, custom-made to her liking. As she walks up to get ready to speak to the nation, everyone waiting for her collectively give her a nod of approval, making her blush slightly. By now, crowds all across the entire Empire cheer in unison. Former President Japochird takes her hand and tells her to hold the other up, which she does.

"Ok, repeat after me Caelia." softly says the former president. She replies and copies his lead.

"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the rights of the Empire of Vicavalas against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the-"

Suddenly, a shot is heard from a while away. The blast from a sniper rifle just barely brushes past Roderock's face, leaving her untouched, but shaken. The crowd stands in shock as they nearly saw the death of their new leader unfold right in front of them. The suspect flees the scene an to a craft marked with the syndicalist star of Cartr's party.

Cartr's Address

Amidst all of the confusion and delay unfolding within the overcrowded Inauguration masses, a massive projection suddenly appears above the square, shrouding everyone underneath in a blue glow. Seconds later, Atticas Cartr's face appears before the crowd and the podium where President Roderock watches in disbelief.

"Citizens of the Triumvirate, I come to you with a very special announcement." he starts.

"I, the great Atticas Cartr, have unfortunately come to you all with the news that I have been robbed of my win in the recent election. I cannot bear to accept the results of a fraudulent campaign and I refuse to accept them. This nation will crumble under the terrible guise of President Roderock unless we take to action. I call upon my loyal supporters to rise up and stop the upcoming madness from happening by moving against the incompetent mess that is the Triumvirate. To Arms! And let the shining star of the Crimson Union guide us all to a new future."

As soon as the transmission ends, a large chunk of the crowd reveals themselves to be supporters of Cartr and begin attacking the Pro-Triumvirate crowd. The officials at the podium with the president scramble from the scene, all fleeing to the safety of the U-Wing still present. President Roderock is the last one to make it onto the ship, just barely dodging a Cartr loyalist who attempted to strike at her.

"Pilot, take off immediately. We need to get out of here now!" ushers Myzon to the pilot, who for some reason hasn't even started up the ship.

The pilot slowly turns around and looks everyone dead in the eye before proclaiming loyalty to Cartr's faction. As Cartr Loyalists slowly push through Pro-Triumvirate groups protecting the U-Wing, Myzon draws her lightsaber and rushes towards the traitorous pilot who attempts to shoot her with a concealed blaster pistol. Myzon's reflexes kick in, reflecting the shot faster than the blink of an eye straight at the pilot's head, killing him on the spot. She then takes helm of the U-Wing and takes off, swinging the ship in the direction of her flagship, the Andraste.

"I don't know what just happened, but something has to be done. This revolt can't be allowed to persist." says the President, still shook.

The former president opens up his com-link. What he sees makes his blood run cold, "Madame President, this isn't just a revolt. It's occurring across the whole empire."

It is then revealed to the president that the address had been broadcasted to every major system, inciting multiple large-scale rebellions in the name of Cartr's newly proclaimed Crimson Union with it's capital on the world of Invictus in the southwestern quadrant of the empire.

"Nearly an eighth of the military has defected from the Empire and some whole planets have seceded to the Crimson Union. The empire can't persist if there are open rebellions." says Former President Japochird.

President Roderock takes a look at everyone around her, shocked and confused.

"Notify the Empress and Chairman of this and I need a full mobilization of our remaining forces. It's time to put down this insurgency. The Civil War has begun." says the president to Myzon, which she does immediately.

Are was in the sky, her wings keeping her afloat as she breathed in the cold air as it hit her face. Below in a wrecked apartment block a raid was occuring, her new 'human' troops moved against a suspected cell of insurgents.. no matter though, it was bound to be over quick.
The troops and a few Eleni spread through the building sparing nobody. Near the end of the raid Are came down from the sky and smashed into the building through a wall. she was in a bedroom, 2 Eleni were there and looked shocked as Are bursted in and on the floor by their feet was two dead bodies, a man and woman.

"My lady.", one of them bowed their head as they held tightly onto their spear before looking around.
"We searched the roo-", the Eleni stopped speaking, he heard the smallest of noises, it came from under the bed. One of the Eleni picked up the bed and threw it to the other side of the room. There was a teen girl hiding under it, no older than 14, seeing another victim lead to the Eleni smiling as they raised their spears to throw at the terrified girl on the ground.
Are stared momentarily and before the Eleni could throw their spears her hands turned into long claws and she sliced through the heads of her now dead comrades. Her claws retracted and blood dripped off her fingers. She stared at the bodies of the dead humans then to the girl on the floor now rocking back and forth. Are continued to stare at the girl, her own face becoming saddened... her own fate befell this human girl.. a life of no real family, a life of emptiness.. perhaps it would of been proper to just kill her.. but no.... she couldn't.

Are kneeled down holding her hand out to the girl... there was no reaction.
"Please...", pleaded Are, not wanting to leave the girl alone... yet there was still nothing.
Are then looked to the floor,
"There was nothing I could do...", Are muttered before looking back up at the girl who she proceeded to pick up. Are slowly elevated off the ground and flew to her castle, careful not to go too fast. Even still it was a quick trip. They set down on the roof and went down to Are's personal quarters where the girl was brought to the guest bedroom, Are set her down and placed a hand on her arm which was met by a flinch causing Are to pull her hand back.
"I-I understand.", Are then said leaving the room.

Days passed and Are cared for the girl, bringing new clothes and poorly prepared human food.
The girl hated Are.. yet was started to sort of gsin trust for her.. she was so confused. The invaders killed her parents but Are wasn't like them.. or was she? It tore her up.
One the 8th day Are entered the bedroom to take the dishes away, they said nothing as Are went to leave the room but she stopped... the girl spoke.
"Astra...", the girl spoke.
"Astra?", questioned Are as she turned out, a bit shocked the girl spoke.
"My name is Astra..", the girl clarified, sitting up though her eyes looking down at the bed's blankets, still no courage to look at Are.
Are placed the dishes the dresser by the door and walked closer to Astra, a bit of a smile on her face now.. she got to hear Astra talk finally. Like when they first met Are held out her hand.
"Please.", she'd whisper.
Astra turned her head to look at the hand then up at Are. She was... confused to say the least but did it, she placed her hand on Are's, she gasped as she began to see Are's memories.. the death of her parents, the death of her planet, the death of her husband.. there was so much death, so much inflicted by others and so much by her in the name of her master, Morikotto. Then she saw the fears of Are.. the fear of being alone was the biggest amongst others but there was one that even chilled Astra to the bone.. a darkness.. plain darkness but there was something in it she couldn't see, there was a terrible dread.. then there was a a last fear she saw a flaming eye and there was a figure walking from it.. then Astra saw what Are wanted most... a family.
Are took her hand away slowly and looked down before looking back up at Astra, Astra returned the stare,
"I-... why did you kill so many? M-my parents are gone.. some of my friends.. just so many.", Astra's eyes began to fill with tears.
Are didn't know how to answer.. though she tried her best.
"He would of punished me..", Are said and without another word took the dishes and left the room.

The Flood defences struggle to mount a co-ordinated reply to the Decepticoncybertron onslaught.
As explosions can be seen all along the defence sites.
The Flood Flood fighters though are more organised and form up to attack to attack the Decepticons.

The Flood capital ships now faced with The Decepticoncybertron fleet have to meet the new threat as
Part of The Flood fleet tries to maneuver quickly to attack Decepticon fleet and help their defences.
While the rest of the Flood Fleet tries to form up to fill in the gaps in their fleet formation.

I would like to think that the lukewarm response to the poll is not an indication of a lukewarm response to the election.
