While we support a nation's right to its own sovereignty, we do not believe altering the name of our community to be in our best interests. Allow them the opportunity to remain independent, but without changing what has meaning to the rest of us.

We would like an open dialogue with the NNE and though we would like to point out that it's not changing the name just adding on to it .....

Special snowflake syndrome in action.

If anyone has an alternative idea for IDM. I won't do anything unless there is a vote by our WA membership members. Considering something like the independent autonomous lands of Novus Lucidum.

How about we don't change anything because just like Brexit, the EU didn't change their name. So I see no reason to change ours.

How about leaving the region; therefore not accountable to the rules, while remaining in the region is illegal? I see no reason for IDM to do this besides getting a special status.

We shouldn't do anything.

Every nation here is autonomous. IDM and any other nation can have all the referendums they want, it changes nothing.

However I do have one idea related to this in order if our former members return ever when it comes to autonomy. They can keep their rp map, forums and abide by policies I established in our dispatches. The minus side they wouldn't be allowed to be on the region council. However they can create one themselves but it does not supercede the region. As founder I would act as intermediary leader rather than the governor to keep conflict at bay. The world's are separate. Much more thought needed though.

If former members return, then they can join without any of the changes. They will be treated as if they never left the region.

Would this nullify the amendment already passed?

I need to know what amendment you are talking about.

Amendment 1

The spread or out of character support of bigotry, nazism, or the murder of people for political motivations will be subject to reprimand at the discretion of the Minister of Civil Affairs. Every nation is still guaranteed the right to believe their own economic or social ideals as long as they do not violate the above conditions.

How does what I said equal to nullifying this amendment?

Why would it?

Before it was passed wasn't it said it was already covered in the constitution? I have no idea if repeal of this would bring our former members back.

Why would we repeal the amendment though? I'm confused as to what message you are trying to send.
