We've had an embassy proposed by United Christian Empires of the West. Any thoughts on this region? I can see some common religious ground, but as we operated as a democracy and have no established religion, that may not be enough common ground to stand on.

I think it would be fine, they seem to be getting embassies with plenty of non-religious Regions, even an Islamic one. So I don't think we need to worry about it.

Are they fascist? Either way, the fact Fluvannia left the name with "no comment" implies to me that he is wary of allying with them.

Logon's suspicions are correct; the more I've heard about them, the more I've determined that any sort of dealings with them is something for us to avoid.

As an explanation for why they were on the list to begin with -- basically going through the tag cloud and looking through some of the regions tagged as "Conservative", "Anti-Communist", and "Regional Government" yielded some options that could actually bear fruit, and some that only look acceptable if you don't dig into it them closely...

Dragonwings was actually good enough to notify me last night via DM that they were no good (he can confirm this), so I had already stopped considering them, but I don't normally go back and edit things after the fact lest that prevent them from making sense.
