RP: Space Program Update; February, 2009
The Averius Space Program (ASP) has released an update to its space program. Rocket development and research is currently ongoing. ASP has begun sending secure communications satellites into orbit. The nine planned satellites for this satellite series will enable secure communications between the Empire and any terminal in the world, designed to access those satellites. The terminals come with a satellite dish and antenna. Some details about the satellites and terminals are classified, as their use is mostly embassy and military-related. It is rumored that all Averius ambassadors will be provided terminals to ensure rapid communications between embassies and the Empire. Later this year and until late 2011, the satellites being sent will be related to GPS use. Other functions and scedules for these programs are classified.

RP: A Town Called Seishin
Location: Rural Kaethet Region, near Deep Psyche Research Facility

Population: ~15,000
A convoy of government vehicles had stopped in the town to pick up gas; some, noted by the civilians, had CBRN insignia and were part of the JCA. It was unusual for CBRNs to be out here, especially stranger, when they were headed to the radio facility; typically, radio towers do not warrant CBRN intervention, but others appeared to be scientists and assorted workers. The convoy of vehicles would head off to the facility after refueling, and a couple of citizens would park near the warning signs to watch before getting shoved away by a masked National Intelligence agent in combat gear, furthering the conspiracy. It was the talk of the town that week. Seishin was rather unremarkable, just another rural kaethet town with several Urbanates that acted as apartment buildings and plenty of older homes that had varying stages of becoming smart homes. The town was powered by solar panels on a nearby solar farm, with most of the power going to the mysterious research facility and the huge radio tower. The facade of the radio center was having cracks in its narrative from the appearance of CBRN teams. The area felt strangely foreboding; while some dismissed it quickly, it was as if the town felt haunted.
The bold citizens would begin to listen in with ham radios to the restricted frequency. They would allegedly hear static, with occasional inhuman whispers at certain times of day echoing through the white noise. However, the white noise was chilling, unsettling, and indecipherable, but some notes had been taken trying to ascertain what it meant. Some noted that with each day, the unknown whispers seemed to sound more urgent. Weeks went by, and the whispers had become louder but still incomprehensible; some quickly dismissed it as just encrypted government chatter, but not everyone believed this seemed to get dismissed when something that sounded like crying or wailing was on the airwaves. The strange happenings did not end there; pets behaved strangely, birds seemed to avoid the town, and electronics had acted peculiarly from absurdly strong EM waves from the facility, causing compasses to point towards the monolithic tower. As the rumors spiraled soon, Continental Constabulary would arrest those with the radios and confiscate notes and recordings, but some survived the police raids; those detained had been taken to the other side of the country for some reason instead of the local station. More government convoys showed up later that week and enforced a firmer perimeter around the facility, ransacked homes for any radio gear, and confiscated it.
RP: A breach of Contract "Incident No.4"
As the casualties of Stargate mounted, it became natural that N°4 figured she'd be next on the list with 1,2 and 3 all terminated in quick succession. She had called Dr. Min-Jun Park to her facility "dorm" which was more like a prison cell, and the doctor had showed up. She expressed that she wanted to leave the program and return home, to which the doctor gave a sinister grin and brought in some paperwork and set it down on one of the desks. She had signed the papers, or her soul away, but she reviewed it and it seems like some 'additions' had been made and that she'd seen too much and would never walk free, especially when she was shown footage of the "Gate" that they had accidentally opened to someplace unknown and was briefed that she'd be the one to close it. The top minds that had been imported believed only the paranormal powers the Stargate operatives had could do the trick and prevent a breach. A strict regiment was to be prepared that the doctor discussed, which sounded like 365 days of torture, she lashed out at Dr. Park, tossing him across the room with psychokinesis, then went for the door and was stopped by two guards who, with truncheons beat her into tomorrow.
She'd awake in deep solitary, a soundproof room of endless darkness not unlike the sensory deprivation chamber, she assumed was located deep in the faculty from how far the other operatives felt. It's a good time to plan an escape from the year of hell that awaited and potentially being lost in some gateway, really not her problem. In the abyssal silence of deep solitary, N°4's mind raced. The darkness was impenetrable, a void where time and space lost meaning. But it was in this void that her resolve crystallized. She would not be a pawn in their games, a sacrificial piece to be discarded once her purpose was served. The thought of the "Gate," that yawning chasm to the unknown, terrified and enraged her. She was chosen to close it, but at what cost? Her freedom? Her life? The pain from the guards' beating was a distant echo compared to the storm brewing within her. She focused on that pain, and let it fuel her psychokinetic abilities. The silent walls of her cell would yield, and the door would groan and bend open. N°4 moved like a specter through the facility, making some progress, but she had to take an elevator to escape the depths and was spotted on that camera, and a silent alarm went off. As she moved through the facility, the guards would recruit their most trusted operative N°5, for the intercept. The facility was a maze but only had one exit in, which the guards would silently prepare to intercept, meanwhile, as N°4 moved through the labyrinthine facility, she was under the false belief she was abnormally sneaky and was going to make it out of this..
Project Stargate: Subject N°5 Profile
Former Name: Jin-Ho Kang (M)
Subject N°5 is a formidable psychokinetic. His abilities in telekinesis are unparalleled, allowing him to manipulate objects and environments with his mind alone at levels only witnessed by N°1. However, his psychic skill set is highly specialized; he lacks proficiency in other psychic disciplines, such as telepathy or precognition. Sentinel’s allegiance to the government and the Project Stargate program is unwavering. He views the program as a necessary means to an end, a way to serve his country and protect its interests. His loyalty is not born of fear or coercion but a deep-seated belief in the program’s objectives. Commendable.
Alarms would eventually go off once the guards had set up their blockade, and blast doors would close; they were intentionally moving her towards their blockade by strategically closing down areas. Eventually, she'd reach the area about to turn the corner, but stopped dead in her tracks precognitively seeing her death or capture; if Number 5 had been better at precognition, he could prevent this; she viewed around the corner with the shortest range remote viewing seeing all manners of guards and the Traitor N°5 just waiting for her to turn. She focused and extended her hands with fingers spread apart, reaching out with invisible psionic force like a puppet master, focusing on the grenades of the guards and whipped her hands, pulling all the pins in tandem, chasing panic, and the line was broken up, soon loud explosions, flash bangs, screams and burning fires and smoke. Quickly, she ran down the corridor through the smoke and saw flashes of gruesome, haunting sights of the aftermath of what she had done, she saw N°5 move through the smoke, but she opened the blast door and ran out of the surface facility out the front doors and into the parking lot, before tripping on nothing and hitting the ground. That nothing was but a hand flick of N°5, who had two guards with him that didn't explode. The guards raised their rifles to go apprend N°4, but N°5 stopped them by raising his hand, not because he had command over them but because they had been frozen in place by unseen force; he wasn't going to waste an opportunity for a duel; this had never happened before.
N°4 got up off the pavement, beckoning him to leave also, but number 5 had made up his mind and wouldn't throw away such an extraordinary life to return to the mundane of the Urbanate lifestyle. With bottled up rage, N°4 extended her hand screaming, releasing a bolt of invisible force to skewer N°5. He seemed unfazed, flicking two fingers to the side, and the bolt was deflected into the pavement shattering a considerable chunk and kicking rubble up into the air. He advanced towards her unimpressed, especially since she was allegedly ranked higher than him. He had let the guards free. N°4 would extend her hands and send a wave of psionic energy the concrete cracking as it progressed; N°5 held out a hand in a clawed motion and split the energy to flow around him before twisting his hand and lifting N°4 off the ground choking, she grabbed for the unseen hand and dug her hand in until agony shot back to N°5s mind and he flicked his hand tossing her like a ragdoll into the concrete her bones in agony. He taunted her before lifting a car off the ground with one hand, a display of powerful psychokinesis never before seen, and raised it above N°4. She knew that she was going to die and not make it out of her; she practically had no Kinesis, so she instead focused on the guards reaching into the guards mind, which was surprisingly weak; N°5 echoed in the void, taunting her, but the guard was hers to command, she twisted her hands and be guard raised his gun and shot N°5, he fell to a knee the car dropping, N°4 put her hands and feet up to catch it the vehicle floating in place, before she used what last power she had left to hurl it through the fence and got up limping away, the last guard would chase after, her but this chase was cut short when his neck tragically broke.
N°4 looked back, and the 1,000m radio tower loomed in the distance, an ominous beacon. She disappears into the night. Unfortunately, she was not truly free. The highways and roads out of town got closed off, a strange aircraft circled overhead jamming all communications, and any communication wires had been cut. Black government vehicles patrolled the streets hunting for the lost subject; the roads were blockaded by CBRN, who stated there had been an incident transporting radiological hazards that interfered with comms and citizens could not leave until it was cleaned up, but the town was safe. N°5 had been taken to the emergency room of the facility and, survived the gunshot wound, and soon joined the hunt.
Unrelated to the story, but important enough for extra context on the stranger aspects of the cold war.
Shangri-la Society
Otykenese Occult Society Formed in 1918 with early connections to the Kencheerist movement. Some theories suggest they are true believers in the theory that aliens created their kind and are superior to the natural beings of the world and the destiny to create an idyllic society.
Qi Society
A secret society often associated with Esoteric Kencheerism and Conspiracy Theories. The society is said to have formed in 1871. They believe in an all-powerful energy called Qi, and there exists a subterranean master race that has harnessed the energy. Some speculate it consists of the Shangri-la Societies inner circle, which contradicts the supposed founding fate. Theorists suggest that they believe in harnessing the power to create things like UFOs and improve themselves through supernatural means. Allegedly, some members have received telepathic insights from space guiding their movements.

August 1st, 2007. 2km east of Algerdene, Karzyn Commonwealth. Local Hour: 04:15.
The troops guarding the first line of defense were getting ready for combat, with the weak buzzing of drones interrupted by the distant, harrowing, war chants of Karzynite troops. They had been spotted just in time for the defenses to be activated, with soldiers turning on their thermal sights and for UAVs to be sent up in the sky. Thousands...they were thousands of soldiers from the south and west, slowly charging from the lowlands. Rifles and machine guns ready, with snipers ready to take out enemy jägers or commanders, they would let the advance march un-impeded until they were at the furthest range for peak accuracy to be had, around 750 metres, and then all hell broke loose.
Bodies began to pile up on the corpses of previous attacks, lumped into mounds over time, and those tori who were taking to the skies would contend with combat drones, and soon the summer sun began to rise in the east, with the Karzyn starting to fall back, having lost both the element of surprise and the cloak of the dark...a truly un-lucky assault. For the past five months they had tried to retake that position, to force the Dze back to Bagalgan, even reaching the trenches in many occassions, but it was for naught, thanks to their enemy's artillery they were unable to pull the same tricks they would on the Il-Saakan and by July, the attacks had slowed down, hoping to concentrate forces for a major push, the one that just was repelled, and the ones that would follow for the next month and a half, many a desperate attempt to regain control of the settlement as the capacity to launch large offensives in the area was hampered by the transfer of troops to Hondgad.
Hearing of the successes to the north in late september, the Dze would increase artillery fire on the positions around Erbuyenchgol that were still showing signs of occupation, as well as the shelling of positions in the highlands south of Batandoro, while Shadecloak Rangers were sent to the latter as scouting forces, to check up on the status of the area. By the 10th of October they reported back: it was clear for attack; at the same time, reports from the Crimson principality had announced the fall of Züün-bagaan now having captured everything south of the East Karzyn Hills and east of Rench. Thus, on the morning of the 11th as the sun rose, great columns of mechanized infantry marched east, along the southern slopes and the peaks of The Ripples, leaving forces to defend against anything that may come from Batandoro, aiming to take Orkhando and siege Erbuyenchgol.
The tactics used in Algerdene would be replicated, with light shelling followed by smoke clouds leading to mechanized assaults of positions to minimize casualties as much as possible, they would reach the settlement of Orkhando by the 29th of October, encircling Erbuyenchgol on the 30th and laying it down to siege, hoping to sway the population to surrender to avoid needless blood being spilled on both sides. The tremendous speed of the Dze, who had learned from their mistakes at Bagalgan and other minor confrontations, would force the Karzyn to rapidly split their forces across the entire front, now facing three offensives at once.
Orkhandoro would fall on the 2nd of November, with the Dze and Crimson forces meeting in the mountain pass some 10km east, having captured everything south of The Ripples, and a counter-attack from Batandoro would be repelled from the 3rd to the 11th of October, which had attempted to relieve the forces in Erbuyenchgol, to no avail. The large city itself, having suffered almost two years of constant shelling of its garrison, encircled and running out of supplies, would fall by the 9th, wth many soldiers inside the city taken captive.
With their eastern flank held by neutral, if friendly, forces and their northern flanks in the hills secured, the Dze would start the flow of supplies to the area, sending food, clothing and medical personnel that previously was doing work in Bagalgan and Algerdene to relieve the captured cities as best as possible from the scars of war. Such a move was both out of kindness and out of ulterior purpose, with the Dze hoping to present themselves as benevolent as possible to their enemies in the hopes that some could be swayed to surrender and end this already long war in a quicker fashion. To that end, they would not cease their offensives just yet, coordinating with their Il-Saakan allies for all Dzeioi between Jargonjar and the slopes north of Bagalgan to be transferred east, their positions taken over by allied forces, they could begin amassing the surplus troops in their holdouts in the Ripples and began to shell enemy locations around Batandoro at the same time reports came of a Crimson push towards Barud and Horgaltkhon...soon the nation of 
Torimia would be unified, and their troops could go home.

24th December, 2006. Khovd, Il-Saakan Kingdom. Local Hour: 06:00.
Dim was the light that shone upon the Karzynite garrison, overlooking the western edges of Tsetsogtshir's Hills. The guards would notice, however, a strange cloud from the north was seen moving at fast speed in the mountains towards the south. It wasn't very large, but it moved strangely; quickly they noticed that it was not a natural phenomena, but a flight of several hundred Il-Saakan troops, lunging towards their position. A sniping duel would begin taking place, distracting the Karzynites from the soldiers moving on foot through the valleys towards them, quickly swarming their positions.
Calling for aid, they would recieve no answer from the garrisons at Tsogt and Taishaant, the former being assaulted from the south with assistance from dzeii artillery and the latter being shelled in a similar manner. The troops attempting to siege Uregkhan Uul, however, would recieve notice of this and, fearing encirclement, would begin to pull back and attempt to protect their flanks. In a similar manner, Il-Saakan forces near Golongel would cross the river at night and siege the town in an attempt to recapture it. It was quickly noticeable by Karzyn Commanders that this was a mass, planned offensive that was meant to distract their forces from the southern offensive carried by the Dze, as well as the mass airborne landings from the Crimson Principality.
Khovd would be retaken by dusk, Tsogt's defenses lasting until the 25th in the morning, both towns would become a harrowing sight, as Khovd's populace had been massacred...and Tsogt's would soon be, for the Tori were not forgiving of their enemies, even if it was their own kin. By grace of their officer corps would their own actions be limited to individual incidents, not that it mattered when the reports were sent to High Command.
A retreat would be quickly ordered from Golongel and all positions north of Khorovreibal by the Karzyn command, attempting to avoid a second encirclement, while the positions near Uregkhan Uul were told to hold on, with a counter-offensive being planned to relieve them as they became surrounded on all sides and Taishaant was assailed from the east and north by the Il-Saakan. Ever more they advanced, ever more fierce the fighting became, with both sides not being shy to resort to the most crude of melee like the wars of old if that was what it meant to be victorious. A second force would ride from Badaltanshar towards Khorovreibal to cut off the escape from the Karzyn in the northernmost front, recapturing the town by the 1st of January, 2007, and reinforcing its northern defenses and recapturing the border up to Tagaan to force a Karzyn push, where they could be slaughtered.
By January the 5th, however, the Karzynites would launch their counter-offensive towards Tsogt and Jargonjar, recapturing the former, and forcing the Il-Saakan in the southern flank of their offensive to halt in order to alleviate pressure from the encircled troops near Uregkhan Uul, successfully delaying the attack and rescuing a few dozen hundred of their own, though many more would not be so luck. At Khorovreibal the Karzyn forces there would break free from the encirclement, falling back to Barudgadlon, while sending a detachment as sacrifice to cover their retreat, while the Il-Saakan forces re-grouped and organized themselves for the next phase, having eliminated the threats to its northern cities.
May 30th, 2008. Tagaan, Karzyn Commonwealth. Local Hour: 06:30.
A sentry would wake up and take her outpost watch duty, scouting to see if the Il-Saakan forces, having been victorious in the first phase of the offensive, decided to purse further action. The small town was weakly defended, as most Karzynite commanders foresaw the bulk of the enemy forces moving towards Hondgad through Bardugadlon, rather than from the extreme north; nevertheless the garrison carried on their duty as intended, and it seemed today was the day they had been waiting for.
The sentry would spot columns of Il-Saakan forces crossing the border, encircling their positions from the south and east, and began to shell the area. Little could the garrison do but fight, and that they would do. Exhausting their ammunition until the rifles were bent and cooked from the heat and blunting their sabres and bayonets, they resisted the onslaught until the 31st in the morning, buying their comrades enough time to stabilize and contain this offensive, believing it to be the main attack and diverting all resources that could be spared, halting the advance some 15km east of the town about a week into the assault.
Unbeknownst to them, the main force, composed of several mountain regiments, began a silent march through Tsotsegshir's Hills towards the east, bypassing Barudgadlon entirely and using night attacks to eliminate any enemy positions they found, advancing over 50km over two days before being noticed by a substantial enough force; clashes around mountain valleys and snow-cladden peaks would follow over the course of the next week as they drew closer and closer to Hondgad, with the defending Karzyn forced to pull back to the city by the 17th of June, while supported by forces from Barudgadlon that were falling back, fearing encirclement.
A small detachment would be left in that city to serve as a stopgap, which would fall by the 20th, while to the south of the hills the town of Dergel was put under siege in order to open a vector with which to attack the vast plains north and east of Baruun-bagaan, from where much of the forces fighting in Tsogt belonged to. Hondgad itself would be put to siege from the south and west by the 23rd of June, while troops in Tagaan, now under less pressure, launched an offensive that aims to fully encircle the large city and capture the river crossing at Airenelen that led to the Eastern Highs.
The momentum of the Il-Saakan offensive would be put to a temporary halt, however, as the Karzyn sent nearly two divisions worth of soldiers to the front from the Algerdene axis, fully stopping the advance in the mountains and hills until October. By then the front had stabilized, with the Il-Saakan being content in just shelling positions around Hondgad and Delger, as they brought more forces to continue their assault as the forces from Tagaan, under less resistance, kept making small gains throughout the month, creeping over the large Karzynite city. In November, their scouts would report that most Karzynite positions in the area had become under-staffed, a large portion of those forces being relocated somewhere in the south...good news, indeed.

RP: GMO, CETI's GMPFs, and GMHFS
CETI, also known as the Cell Engineering Technological Institute, has begun successful work on creating genetically modified organisms from all shapes and sizes, with multiple trials testing said GMOs, resulting in an 80% success rate, meeting almost every requirement. CETI has always been the Confederation's top biotech and genetic engineering research company/laboratory. Multiple branches were made within the company to handle numerous projects, and such branches offered a variety of valuable research into genetically modifying cells for specific purposes, such as phages, to further protect the human body and integrate them into the immune system for improved defenses. And these were now to be genetically modified in plants and animals, and soon, humans. More and more research is being invested now after successfully gaining money through private means. They will continue to forge its path ahead as the world's advanced biotech company. And right now, one of their many objectives is to continue the development of new CRISPR cell designs for cheaper production.
The goal of their new project, also known as Project Genesis, is to successfully test the genetic modifications on a living human being by giving them an enhanced immune system. The gene modifications would then provide a less aggressive nature in its immune response, such as its cytokine storm, better metabolism, and the integration of cancer-fighting cells within the immune system. Tests were successful on some embryos used on other animal species. Although some experiments failed, they quickly learned their harsh lessons, such as mitigating or nullifying side effects caused by multiple factors in the process of genetic modifications. Another branch of CETI focuses on specialized vaccines and methods to eradicate certain diseases. One such Branch is the use of Gene Drive and Genetic Engineering to overpopulate the local dengue, malaria, etc., mosquitoes carrying such viruses, with GM mosquitoes acquiring total immunity towards said viruses. Another branch is creating bacteriophages to combat the rising dangers of superbugs -a bacteria with immunity to antibacterial products and serums. Specialized cancer-fighting cells are also currently in development, although costs will hinder its flow of progression.
Meanwhile, the GMPF and GMHFS branch of CETI are currently testing their new Genetically modified health food systems, using various fruits and seeds, such as bananas and wheat. Those tests include their enhanced survivability in rough environments and changes in natural weather. They also now use fewer resources to produce the same amount, and so on. More tests are still ongoing to this very day, each with a rising success rate with every trial made for testing and experimentation.

RP: Operation Clearing
Recently the African Armed Services have launched Operation Clearing, with Special Forces raids occurring all across the Federation over the course of 12 hours. Overall, 50 raids occurred, with firefights breaking out in several of the raid locations. The Ghost Detachment suffered only 12 minor casualties, while rebel forces were sent reeling, suffering an estimated 40 KIA and over 100 injured for 140+ casualties.
This shocking display of the might of the African Special Forces has dealt a major blow to multiple planning hubs used by the opposing forces, it is unknown what the response will be like, however most experts predict a very very bloody year to come.

With Switzerland’s Scientists and Technate Scientists now cooperating with each other in MUP’s physics facilities. Honalulu saw some great potential to opening the flood gates of relations between Switzerland and the Technate. Director Kaapana of the Honulite Department of Foreign Affairs had asked to meet with Swiss Foreign Diplomats or Representatives in order to establish embassies and a trade agreement between them. Specifically trading for Swiss Medical Equipment and Scientific Tools for Honalulu’s growing Computer industry as well as raw materials such as wood, rice, fish, and other things.
As well as establishing Visa’s for Travel, tourism, and educational purposes. Along with joining what is known as the Currents & Roads Initiative to better infrastructure in participating nations and further improve infrastructure technologies. Hopefully paving a way to immigration in the future between the two nations.
As for Amberleaf, joint research institutions and education centers would be accepted by the Honalulu’s Government along with establishing Visa’s for educational purposes that being research and education altogether. As well as perhaps establishing trade between the Technate and Amberleaf would be pushed in along with the establishment of embassies.
And as for Baltocarpathia establishing embassies and trade agreements would also be brought to the desk of their Foreign Relations Department or Ministry.

Honalulu’s Board of Representatives enacted a new bill to protect Honulite and Technate Military Personnel and other elected and appointed officials of the Honalulu & Technate government against criminal prosecution by an international court to which the Technate and Honalulu are not party. This is dubbed as the [INSERT CITY WHERE THE ICJ IS HOSTED AT] Invasion Act.
The new law authorizes the use of military force to liberate any Honalulu or Technate citizen of a Technate-allied country being held by the court, which is located in [CITY WHERE ICJ IS HOSTED].
In addition, the law provides for the withdrawal of Honalulu/Technate military & Economic assistance from countries ratifying the ICJ treaty, and restricts Technate participation in League of Nations peacekeeping unless the Technate obtains immunity from prosecution. At the same time, these provisions can be waived by the Director on "national interest" grounds.
Director Nalanie pointed out that many of the ICJ's biggest supporters are fragile democracies and countries with authoritarian monarchs.

The Otykenese, driven by tales woven into the fabric of local legend, sought the enigmatic Iktah. It was their culture and relics that held keys to the enduring quest of the Senzo Isan. In a bold maneuver, the peculiar aircraft dispatched paratroopers and gear into the wilds, laying the groundwork for an advanced archaeological encampment. This was soon followed by a flotilla of warships charting a course northward, their helicopters buzzing towards the nascent base. The Iktah, believed to be botanical in nature, were an anomaly flourishing in a realm of near perpetual twilight. Yet, as the days unfolded, the Technate's presence burgeoned. High mobility transporters navigated to sites revealed by aerial reconnaissance, rumored to harbor locals. The heavy military footprint was a because they anticipated volatility and peril posed by the elusive rump state.
Archaeology: Progress Update (Dze-Technate 2008 Science Accord)
Establishing the scientific outpost in the northern reaches of Dze presented a formidable challenge. Previously: An an effort to render a ship invisible with psychotronic machinery the ship mysteriously disappeared for some time then reappeared intact with the crew gone and N°1 the Stargate operative no longer inside the sensory deprivation chamber with some chilling log entries about what they had witnessed a sinister apocalyptic realm where physics broke down.

The realm, a grotesque echo of our own, is a desolate landscape where the familiar has been corrupted into the uncanny. It's a world suspended in a perpetual dusk, where the air is thick with floating spores and ash, and every surface is coated with a strange, viscous substance. Structures that once stood proud are now decayed, overgrown with a malignant web of vines that pulse with a sinister life of their own. The laws of physics are twisted here, with objects hovering without reason, and light bending in impossible ways. Sounds are muffled, as if the world itself is holding its breath, and the silence is broken only by the distant, haunting cries of creatures that lurk in the shadows. This is a place untouched by time, an apocalyptic vision of reality that is both alien and horrifyingly familiar a realm that mirrors our own, yet is consumed by darkness and decay. It is a dimension of nightmares where the remnants of humanity are nothing but echoes in the void.
The sensory deprivation chamber, a silent prison of saline solution, had become N°1's world; a world of torment, where the water boiled and crackled with an energy that seemed to feed on his agony from the malfunctioning psychotronic machinery. The crew of the vessel, navigating the impossible realm fruitlessly, had dwindled in number, picked off one by one by monsters that swooped down from the darkness. For what felt like an eternity, N°1's howls of pain had been the only sign of life within the chamber, a haunting reminder of the human cost of their journey. But then, abruptly, the howls stopped. The crew, driven by a mix of desperation and dread, gathered around the chamber. With trembling hands, they released the locks, and the lid lifted with a groan. Inside, they found N°1 motionless, his ordeal seemingly at an end. But as they leaned in, his eyes opened eyes that were now black voids, devoid of any human emotion his body deformed. He rose silently, the air around him still vibrating with the remnants of the chamber's Psi-energy. The crew staggered back in horror as N°1 floated out, transformed by the realms influence and malfunctioning technology into something other, something terrifyingly deformed and alien.
The agony has stopped, but why hadn't they rescued him sooner? They clearly were not his friends, he picked the crew apart like insects with unseen force ripping them apart, before departing the ship with a few survivors to bare witness to how he should shape this strange world they had discovered, but he sent the ship back a trinket that was a reminder of the suffering this damn program had inflicted. He would fly across the sea the strange realm made more sense to him it was similar, he would decide to setup at his old home, which in this realm was decayed and abandoned. He would harness his abilities here, learn to understand, and become one with this place.
RP: The Gate

A rover had been sent through the gateway that was opened by N°2 and based on what they seen was called Yinjian or Mingjie both used interchangeably on reports, the rover found an apocalyptic hollow world it's chronometer and navigational systems couldn't fathom the realm, it soon was attacked by alien flesh monsters and contact was lost. Almost every week a new rover was sent in, some returned with samples others got attacked by horrific creatures from the unknown, sometimes creatures would enter into the sealed room for a time delaying sending a rover but would eventually leave and return to their realm. The laboratory conducted analysis on samples collected and all the strange matter and biology. N°2 had remained in a Catatonic state and was hooked up to medical equipment like a comatose patient. Video captures and samples reached the highest levels of classification. The incident had MAJIK-12 members visit the site to provide their expertise on the matters of the strange. One thing was for sure the gate needed to be sealed before it breached the holding room and there was an unknown amount of time before that happens or before something they cannot contain comes through. Soon a dreadful report came in that the vines has burrowed into the concrete and where headed to the next level, it was sealed off and Hazmat pyro teams got dispatched to burn the vines, merely delaying the inevitable.

Project "Safety Net"
In a secret strategic document adopted by the National Assembly and signed into action by the Director, the main objective of Midribbonian foreign policy and defensive action shall be "the establishment of safe zones in places crucial for international trade, migration and environmental monitoring". What this entails is that Midribbonia is going to actively reach outside its territory to establish fortified settlements, heavily armed and populated with military personnel. The first "dot" in the "Safety Net" is going to be a close one: the Defense Ministry has proposed a 20% increase to annual military budget in order to produce more ammunition for the navy, as well as create 3 new ships, one of which is going to be an aircraft carrier. It is also expected that the newfound funds will go towards organising an outpost just near Midribbonia, in the Patima Sea, on the Mavony Islands, for now claimed by 
Oseiyra-Norein. According to the credible sources within the Defense Ministry, a military operation is in the works, and will commence in the early 2010's.

While Honalulu played being a great nation that served its people well within the Technate. Things were far from the truth in certain areas. While Otyken and the higher ups batted their eyes away from the rural areas of Honalulu until after the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon. Where Honalulu tried to burry towns and evidence of them ever existing and transitioning the remaining survivors of these rural communities to the urban centers. Rural areas became less of a way of living especially when vertical farms began propping up during and after the event. Many people who wanted to be free from how the state operated and separates their children from them.
While some farmers moved an influx from rural to urban areas along with a growth in the population produced demands for more housing and with residential buildings being restricted to being built at tops of 10-11 floors cities demanded nor space to expand residential areas. This was true for Marirna especially since they were in the mainland where many of the rural farmers were impacted by the UAP.
Thus city needed to expand however it was near rural areas that had residents living in them and it would be simple as paying them cheap to kick them off of the premise and have them live elsewhere though some stood their ground and demanded more from the city governments. In which Honalulu’s government couldn’t green light the takeover of land until all members of the commune signed off on the takeover.
That is where the Hahalua Clan came into play. Doing the dirty work of ridding the settlers from the villages by constantly harassing them. These Clans, Yakuza, Mafia, or whatever you may wish to call them. Though one growing business is narcotics which made its way into Tamatau. Honalulu’s government has made mocked burnings of drug crops and raids on supposed narcotic production and shipping sites though it is yet to be known if this had any proper impact to stop the flow of drugs into the nation.

Aquatic life and people can be damaged by sonar radars especially active ones or coming near passive ones. Thus Honalulu has decided that a ban on active sonar use within their oceans unless during wartime is done so as to minimize impact on marine life as well as possible deaths caused by sonar radar uses. Foreign vessels or military ships that use active sonar radars within or blast it into Honalulu’s waters shall be dealt by apprehending and prosecuting the offender. Usage of military force may also be necessary to bring foreign offenders to Justice.

RP General Shift
With a large coalition of liberal Christian and labour focused parties winning the general elections of the states, a sizable shift to the left in economic policy can begin. It has long been the idea of liberal elements within Baltocarpathia to allow socialist influence over the economy to grow within certain boundaries which was met with brutal opposition by the former imperial government. Now with democracy in place, such reforms will become much easier to pass. First of these would be an increased tax on the wealthy and on corporations which would be partially used in donating to the poor. Healthcare and home building sectors would also gain much needed support from these reforms as the Christian majority favors helping the homeless and sick get the care they always needed. Racial and sex based discrimination continues but is no longer endorsed by the state. Punishments for domestic violence and abusive behavior towards women and minorities have been ramped up in local law books in hopes of swaying the population away from such barbarity. LGBT rights remains almost unheard of in the political discussion of any of the major parties, but fringe left movements have begun small but organized demonstrations to gather support for their cause in the more liberal regions

Tensions stirred among those in the international community, which some rumored could spark dangerous conflicts, if not, then war. Alarming news rattled officials in the Swiss federal parliament; the technate had outright declared their intentions to invade and possibly destroy the International Court Justice.
“Well… s**t,” Aureth whispered behind her tongue.
The parliament murmurs behind their desks and covered hands, looking at each other for any ideas or signs of hope this conflict would die out on its own. Only time can tell in this situation they feared.
“Update us about the situation as soon as it comes out.” She ordered.
Statements, from the Swiss president regarding this sudden turn of events, were addressed to the far reaches of the world, hoping their message wouldn't fall on deaf ears.
The transmissions were sent worldwide, being translated to every existing language.
“It is with a heavy heart to see such travesty fall upon a renowned international institution that has helped to secure brighter futures for those victimized by evil foes, but it is within the interest of the Great Confederacy of Switzerland and her people, humans, ants, and other sapient species alike, to remain neutral should the diverse and unique civilizations of Kalrania walk into the gates of hell.”
“It is with common courtesy from us, the representatives of the Swiss government and the entire nation, that we do not represent the Phoenix Blossom Alliance. The great nations of Amberleaf and Baltocarpathia's opinions are their own. Should the two nations pick their sides, the Swiss will try to support them and the other side with peaceful intentions to restore and repair relations in this growing rift. Under the strict neutrality we have maintained for many generations, we will remain the neutral third party.”
“The Swiss will not be involved in any military operations, except for future peacekeeping. Should there be any malicious incursions within and without our borders, the Swiss will strike back with harsh and vigorous ferocity.”

RP: SOUTHERN ROUTES
The Swiss delegation met with the representatives of the wealthy island nation of Neuestaat, located within the southern hemisphere of Kalrania. Convoys of cars with armed escorts met in an undisclosed location in GCS and Neuerstaat territories, delivering and reviewing the trade and business agreements laid out before them. The designated buildings for the meeting were nothing more than your average high-rise building with the meeting buried deep within the center. The rooms were protected within and without, featuring enhanced ventilation systems, strengthened plexiglass, and reinforced walls; this was a standard for some Swiss buildings. Nevertheless, both parties thoroughly discussed and negotiated economic deals that would benefit both nations.
This led to huge trade deals and major business agreements after much careful deliberation. Heads of the negotiations, which wanted more out of these seemingly meager talks, were steadfast and assertive with their goals to establish their presence in their respective countries and their longstanding grandeur/status in the international community.
Finally, the two parties settled on exporting their most valued products with the Swiss importing their high-tech products and the Neuerstaat importing luxury products. Automobile imports and sales establishments were also reached as well, creating huge car sales and the expansion of their corporations to set up production and manufacturing operations within the Swiss Confederation, and sales firms of car companies were negotiated by the Swiss to be set up as well. This bilateral agreement would thus create more jobs for the Swiss population and its residing permanent immigrants, thereby reducing unemployment within the country. This would benefit their newest trade partner, guaranteeing them greater access to Swiss markets. Negotiations with the first section were agreed upon and signed. They negotiated the second section, guaranteeing Swiss companies have more access to their markets via their newly established Neuer Branches.

RP ~ Diplomatic Moves Between Aquitinia and Rykensvik
Due to the initial diplomatic outreach by 
Rykensvik to 
Aquitinia, and the Aquitinian Crown’s response, terms were discussed between the two states. On the table were issues of military aggression, civilian movement, international trade, and diplomatic embassies. It was very easy for Aquitinia to agree to the Rykensvik request of a Non Aggression Pact, due to the unaggressive nature of the Crown. As for civilian movement, little change was made, with border crossings still being fairly strict.
Trade was resolved in a simple manner, with it simply being made open. Items already illegal or restricted in one of the nations would naturally also be illegal or restricted in terms of trade. Notably, Rykensvik brought mostly oil, iron/steel, and some more industrial products, while Aquitinia could provide a large quantity of both grain and dairy products, with the latter being more notable.
As far as embassies went, both sides allowed the opening of the other’s embassies within their capitals. Thus, Aquitinia now has an embassy in the Rykensvik capital of Anslo, while Rykensvik now has an embassy in the Aquitinian capital of Ardeaux. Due to the complex nature of Ardeaux, the Rykensvik embassy is located in the section commonly known as “new Ardeaux”, since it is the portion most available for building development/construction.
RP | Trouble in Techno-Paradise
Amberleaf had recently finally finished the construction of the ICJ headquarters in the city of Attactus. Amberleaf was itself very proud for having been internationally elected to be the host of the ICJ. Having been given international recognition and a responsibility, Amberleaf had something to prove, taking its responsibility very seriously.
The Technate ( Otyken, Kemonomica ) had tried to threaten the ICJ, promising an attack on the headquarters of the ICJ, located in Amberleaf, should any case against the Technate be made. This statement of intent by the Technate had been interpreted, wether meant or not, as a direct challenge by Amberleaf, a blatant demand to bend to the Technate's will, and an insult to Amberleaf as host of the ICJ. Amberleaf had achieved pride in its international hosting of the ICJ, and it mad at the prospect of a thought friendly nation taking action to take this sign of pride and achievement away.
Amberleaf had something to demonstrate. It announced its official decline to the Technate's demands. It mocked their threats of attack. Amberleaf felt rather secure, an isolated island-nation of decent size, a history of paranoid military culture, partially built in the underground. Amberleaf announced internationally that anyone wishing to do so, may freely in Amberlevian support bring the Technate to court in the ICJ.
The planned cooperation with the Technate had been put on hiatus, not wishing to receive their citizens, or send its own in potential danger until further notice.
