The dead of night, City of GorkasskIt has been said throughout history, that the military of a nation is its best and worst tools. Sure, you could make the worlds sharpest knife. But what happens when it is turned against you?
Officers from multiple units of the Gorkassk National Army had met in secret. They had not been swayed by the National Representatives speech. They were not even truly dedicated communists, but instead? Spies. Sent into Gorkassk following The Great Collapse. These men were loyal to one man, King Umberto of 
Western Vapia. Their objective was simple, Kill the National Representative, and all who stand before them.
"Comrades, now is the time we show our loyalty to our true homeland. Down with the National Representative!"

The National Government Control Zone, the area of operation for the National Government's daily operations in Gorkassk City, was quiet. It was 2am, so it was to be expected. The officers, along with their units, slowly advanced upon the National Council building, and after bribing/threatening the few security personnel to their side, the building was occupied.
Just down the road was the Residence of the National Representative. The National Representative Security Detail would not be bribed or threatened, the officers knew. Their only option was force. They decided on brute and swift action. The officers units ran towards the Residence, opening fire on all visible security. The alarm sounded shortly after, waking the National Representative from her slumber.
Ada knew she was in danger, all to obvious from the ear splitting gun fire. She quickly got out of bed, threw on any clothes she could, and ran. She was met with a security guard, who quickly escorted her through the building, avoiding detection. Until....
"Quickly madam, down the stairs to the escape tunnel." said the security guard. The two moved quickly, as the enemy gunfire grew closer, and then fell silent. Right behind them. Down the spiral stairs at lightning pace. They reached the end, and practically barreled through the door. Before them laid a large tunnel, and a car that was able to fit in it. Ada entered the passenger seat, while the guard entered the drivers seat. Suddenly, the door behind them swung open again, and a soldier came into view, and fired upon the car. The car was bulletproof however, so the two managed to escape.
However, this was a hollow victory.
"Commander, the National Representative has escaped."

"No matter. If we inform the world she is dead, we can demoralize our enemies and affirm our control."

The National Council Building, 30 minutes later.

Mihkail stands and salutes the camera, the broadcast ends with the Vapian national anthem playing.
The broadcast ending was the signal. By the time of the broadcast end, the majority of the standing Gorkassk National Army, under the influence of the conspirators, occupied the City of Gorkassk, with plans to further occupy the rest of the nation.
