Strala is also at a wildly higher tech level than us. You forget the stats, young apprentice.

Jar Wattinree wrote:At that point, wouldn't it be best to elevate the thing on legs and call it a tank? Sure, you'd run into the issue of falling over, or having the legs got shot, or getting stuck, or being unable to go certain places, but at least you can move, if the feet work like the tires of cars to, i.e. putting the least amount of "tire" on the ground as possible yet still holding up that enormous weight.

Pretty much my point. I'm saying that at a certain level it'll become more feasible to use legs than treads or wheels.

Treads are more efficient than legs or wheels at distributing weight. It would be a lot less likely for it to sink into the terrain if the treads are wide enough.

Are you guys trying to make superweapons?

Mhhh~ yes. Summercamp.

Nice.....could you show us?

Kathol rift wrote:It wouldn’t need to move much. The cannon would have such a ridiculously long range that the only moving it would do would be to move troops. The real idea-killer is how to transport it between continents.

At that point you're best off with an ICBM or, like me, warsats. No need to move superheavy tanks from place to place when you can project power from space.

its in one of my factbooks

Kathol wants to make a super-tank so we're debating what's the best idea

More like trying to justify them.

True, which means we still run into the Square-Cube Law of such monstrosities.

Still, your ships actually have survivability while everyone else treats flying wing warships like paper airplanes, despite me telling them they're analogous to their naval counterparts.

Indeed. It would have epic psychological warfare value though.

Conclusion- Just don't bother.

Whats a summer camp? i dont believe we have those in Ballistikov, only discipline and labor camps.

Because if you make it even half as strong as a naval battleship, it’ll never make it off the ground. Weight and gravity exist.

The greater portuguese confederation

good night yall, today was a long day of working on factbooks

Its never a summercamp whenballistikov picks the camp

Because having a whole battleship fly while still having sufficient protection and armament is very very hard.

Cohuila Y Tejas wrote:Conclusion- Just don't bother.

Indeed. Probably not worth it. I might make something along this idea, but it won’t be anywhere near as big as what I was saying.

Kathol rift wrote:Because if you make it even half as strong as a naval battleship, it’ll never make it off the ground. Weight and gravity exist.

I mean, just use Ace Combat logic and give it plotium armor.

Quick Question. What do you think the size of an Imperator class titan should be? I always imagined it around 200 to 400 meters tall, even though GW stated it was 40-140 meters tall. Never mind, scratch that 200 to 400, apparently the old lore size was 1 kilometer. Well bios say hello to Strala's newest superweapon.

Probably best to deal with conventional tanks and if you want something that hits very hard, just put some rail guns on the battlefield.

The Pacific Ring wrote:Looks into Wonderwaffe anti-gravity devices for research

I'm pretty sure that was only a rumor

Ballistikov wrote:Whats a summer camp? i dont believe we have those in Ballistikov, only discipline and labor camps.

A summercamp can either be a place where juveniles are working and doing stuff, e.g. fishing, together for self-training or fun,
OR a place like a bootcamp, where the teens are harshly drilled to be strong and behave.
Basically labor camps without working them to death, but close to it.

There are worse places.
