Okay, okay, okay, god that was a terrible way to open cause now I'm just thinking of nalina, aNyWayS, did you seriously think that this was a good way to try to get me to listen to this who'sit/what'sit/whatever, like, god, I get that you haven't talked to me much but this is just goddamn misguided it is, like, if you constantly talked about ariana grande, and I knew you just loved her and freaking (I'm not sure even with that spoiler how okay y'all would be with tons of f bombs so I'll cut them) idolize her, and want more than anything for her to be successful and happy cause I think she's the freaking best, do you think I would then try to get you into Loona by opening with 'every member of Loona is better than ariana grande', I mean, they are, and, I would, but that's just because I don't really care about other people actually liking Loona or not, which, I guess, sorta makes me a bad stan, I need to advertise them better and more effectively, cause as I said I want their success more than anything, but generally I'm content in loving Loona more than anything else and also in other people almost never liking them that much, not because I'd like it to be that way, but just because I'm used to not many people liking them, and even just being a k-pop fan you generally learn to not really care what other people think of your tastes, because they're just plain not gonna like k-pop as much as you do, and they'll probably look down on you for it, and they probably think it's all terrible without knowing a goddamn thing about it, but it's all okay cause you get used to it, you move on, I'm the same with Loona, but on a bigger scale cause even within the K-pop community not a ton of people like Loona and a ton of people hate them without actually knowing anything about them, all this to say, unless you actually don't care about me checking out this questionable person who's person-hood I question as questionable, then you shouldn't have immediately gone for the Loona comparison, cause now there's no way I'm looking it up, like goddamn, also even if I do, I'll be predisposed to dislike her now, regardless of whether I actually would without your comparison, anyway, thou hath crossed a sacred barrier and now thine opinion shall be naught in mine eyes, begone with ye, foul BeASttttttt, also obviously I'm not actually this mad at you lol, I'm just pretend super mad, but there is no way I'm liking this Nora Jones fellow anymore, nobody dares cross Loona >_<

If you'll notice, I did immediately then say but it was like comparing two completely different things, and right now I'm in a sort of calm, meditative mood, so obviously Nora Jones is better than Loona to listen to right now, because Nora Jones excels at calm, meditative music, and that's just what she does; at the same time, there is no way she could compare to Loona for many other categories, like coming up with absolute bops, because they are literally amazing and obviously I love them; so really it's just how you think about the two at any given moment that gives cause for comparison; it's sort of how you can love chocolate and vanilla so much, but they sate different cravings, so some days you'll want something chocolate and other times you'll want something vanilla, so you'll choose one over the other depending on your mood; so what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't judge Nora harshly because it (yeah, basically) sounded like I was bashing Loona, because I wasn't (because they're beautiful and great and I'm not Orbit but I've cruised around their solar system a bit) and really, I had heard such nice things about you and how nice and open you are and what a sweet person you usually can be, but I was warned that you're a rabid fan of Loona (I'm the same way with Reese Witherspoon, because she can do no wrong) and so that's mostly on me for not heeding the advice of my elders; also I feel like I've had ten different "so I guess the point of this" moments, but it just seemed right because you seem great and Loona is great and Nora Jones is great and it never hurts to try broadening your musical horizons!

My Christmas K-pop Recommendation #23 is a little Christmas medley of various jingles by Cherry Bullet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EafpHWzTYII)

Oh-kay, I'll hold back cause you're nice, but one does not simply walk into a comparison of loona and literally anything else in front of an orbit :p To your chocolate and vanilla analogy I'd say that I have never wanted vanilla anything when chocolate was an option, and I would eat a loaf of freshly baked sourdough bread with butter over most other meals 9 times out of 10, but ye-ah I wasn't actually mad or anything I was just being playful, I'll back off now :p

Um, as to your 'I've heard such good things about you' thread, I'll say that the people here are far too nice for their own good, though many pretend not to be, and they've blathered with me long enough that who knows what foggy notions of me they've made through their niceness glasses, great analogy, I know, hold your applause for later, the real sweet people here are probably more whatever scalawags told you such things about me, but yes, I do try to give people the kindness they deserve cause everyone's deserving of love and all, and in general people are just a lot more amazing than they give themselves credit for, so you have to bang them over the head with it until they're too dizzy to contradict your compliments ^-^ Wow, I'm feeling motivated already! *prances off with a baseball bat to go give some people a few more concussions*

Oh, also yeah, I'll listen to a few songs from her if you want me to, though it'd probably be best to give me recommendations instead of leaving me to find her worse songs as I stumble around a quick google search of her >~>

Okay, so:

1. Not even chocolate ice cream? Blasphemy! And yeah, you had best back off! I'm riding high on bath salts and Nora Jones, so I'm ready to go, but in the sense that the baths salts really relaxed my muscles and I'm sorta sleepy now, but not enough to sleep, but just feel really nice.

2. She is really nice, to be fair, if a bit scary if you get her talking. She also managed to work in a musical reference into like every conversation, and if you don't catch it you'll just get this disappointed look and she'll go on about the plot and why it was such an apt comparison or whatever. So no, bad people can speak kindly of you.

3. I totally bash people over the head with compliments too, but mostly in person, because people just don't know how pretty they are and I don't think you can hear it too much, because the world can be cruel with things like that, and people need to know when they look great because I don't even know and everyone is so pretty compared to me and I want to wear their faces!

4. Okay, so, her very best song is what I mentioned before, Don't Know Why. Pure brilliance. I hate it when people inundate me with songs to listen to, and this should give you a good idea of who she is as an artist. Actually, it may not be her best, but it's very representative. If you don't like it, you probably won't like much else of that kind of her music. If you don't like her voice, your ears surely must be broken, because it is impossible to not think she's a talented singer. Impossible, I say!

Speaking of which! My final Christmas K-pop Recommendation for Christmas itself is Psycho by Red Velvet, I cannot import how much you need to watch this enough, this song could literally beat every non-loona song on this Christmas list combined, it is nearing my favOriTe song of all 2019, also no, it ain't a Christmas song, but it just came out and I am pumped ---> (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR8Mrt1IpXg) <---

What is this?

The Southern World Assembly iNitiative (SWAN) is an initiative organized by the regional government of the South Pacific to promote the participation of nations in the World Assembly (WA) and to encourage them to endorse everyone in the South Pacific. The purpose of this initiative is to help nations in this region have voting power on the WA, more endorsements, and more influence which in turn will make the region more secure and active!

What are the World Assembly, Delegates, endorsements, and influence?

  • The World Assembly is an equivalent of the real-life United Nations. Although it doesn't impact your nation as much as the real-life UN it does impact regions such as this one a lot.

  • Endorsements are something you can give or receive from other nations. They are a little bit similar to likes on social media websites except they are far more important to a region and nation because they create the thing below.

  • Influence is something your nation will gain by having endorsements. Influence is very important to the security of a region as it decides how hard it is to remove or ban a nation from a region.

  • A Delegate or WA Delegate is a nation that has the most endorsements in a region and holds all administrative powers such as moderating the message board, banning/ejecting nations, changing the World Factbook Entry,... In the South Pacific, the Delegate is Linkelected every 6 months by member nations of this region.

How do I participate?

Step 1: Join the World Assembly. Click here if you don't know how.

Step 2: Endorse all of these nations. To endorse a nation, click a nation name to open its page, scroll down then click the Endorse button.

  • This is the easiest way to get a lot of endorsements from other nations and gain influence which will help your own nation and the region in the future.

  • Your nation will receive awards to commend your effort of participating in this initiative! (Click here to learn more about awards)

  • Your nation will have a stronger voting power on the WA. (Read this for how)

Click here if you want to learn more about the benefits.

How can I do more?

You can go above and beyond and do more by:

  • Upvoting this dispatch.

  • Sending a link to this dispatch to new nations that haven't participated or encouraging them directly to do what this initiative wants via telegram.

  • Doing the same as above but via our Regional Message Board.

  • Sharing your ideas about how to improve this initiative. (How to do that here)

How do I know how well I am and the region are doing?

You can do that by looking at our censuses (Click here to view them) and our statistics page (Click here to view it). We also recommend you to check out this awesome "portrait" of our region (Click here to view it) to get a look at how large and dynamic our region is.

1. You just can't appreciate the subtle complexities in the flavor profile of vanilla!
2. My aunt (or I guess great aunt, but who has time for all of those silly syllables). She's got bronchitis (again) and hasn't been feeling well, so I've been taking care of her online stuff while she convalesces or whatever it is to make sure she doesn't die here.
3. That's usually how it goes with me, if I'm being honest.
4. Ah, nothing like Nora in the mornin'.
