Happily! My main is The Ankhalic Vaspriot, which I check more frequently than Nollop. I'd be happy to help you in the issues writing process in any way I can.

Last time we joined SPEAR for N-Day. Whether or not it will be the same this time, is not up to me. ;)

FYI: For reference, more info on SPEAR. Keep in mind it's not up to date for the upcoming N-Day.

Also the dark forest theory is not a theory it is a hypothesis. Been around as a science fiction idea for yonks - see Greg Bear’s “Forge of God” and “Anvil Of Stars” and Alastair Reynolds’ “Revelation Space” future history to name just a couple.

BBD, “move on to other stuff,” really? I recall a time when the Rules Lawyers were treated less kindly…

That sounds like rules-prosecution lawyering to me ;)

Let's have an affair

Exactly, when the rules lawyers cluttered up our RMB with their pettifogging, BBD would quickly shut them down.

My fellow Guardians had seen fit to allow the conversation to continue for a bit, but it was running out of steam.

I remember a time when there weren't even guardians and the rmb was only 10 lines, there was only the delegate who had only the power to eject/ban, no rmb suppression and flags were a lot bigger.
*sigh*

(More than?) Half the people in here weren't even born when the RMB was 10 lines.

It’s okay. No problem. It started as an interesting discussion of some Science Fiction ideas, but once the rules lawyering started it quickly sucked all the life out of the thread.

This week I picked up a copy of The Gashlycrumb Tinies by Edward Gorey as I was in the mood for some delightful macabre. It's basically a kids' alphabet book... but it's not really for kids...
