I can't really say I care about fascists and commies, most I met are generally angry at everyone not thinking exactly like them anyways. I haven't seen a happy commie outside my Cuban vacation in 2009 since the fall of the Berlin wall and Fascists probably haven't had much of a good time since Peron's days. They have a lot to be angry about, so I just ignore them. Besides, today most of them just want attention like a 14 year old troll on any internet forum.
But how did we manage to both upset the raiders and defenders? One would think if we upset one of them the other would be happy?

People get butt hurt easy in NS. We have done fending and raiding both and we have raided raiders so people get upset and call us this and that.

Raiders really have to take that, if you think it is hilarious to raid some introvert RP region but get insanely upset if someone had the gaul to do the same to you, then you are a sociopath.
That defenders get upset on everyone who raids kinda makes sense, at least that is consistent but one would think they would be busy being mad at people like the Blackhawks.
It is true that games like NS tend to bring out the worst in some people.

In this nation simulation game, that is the way it is played. Some regions like to pretend to be helpful to noobs, like Karma, or to be meritocracy, like Augustin Alliance. Some pretend at being raiders, like TBH, when they are a political cosmopolitan org that just happens to still raid. Nothing is as it seems or is marketed. They all want to cripple the nations that refuse to comply with their agenda, and the regions that house those nations. Its a power politics game. So yes, there are very very few nations in this game I would "trust" with anything but glib one liners and disinformation.

I was in TBH for a while and Dear God it was confusing to get around over there. At one point I tried to join their raiding corps and was on standby for two months and just decided to leave then I get put on the blacklist cause of that. They are not always what they seem.
Tru Dat! Being an Imperialistic Region, we get vitriol from both sides.
Then there is the right/left political rift in the game particularly espoused by those in NSGP. Anyone that is right of center should be forcefully removed from the game; while those who are left of center are to be honoured and revered. In their eyes, Hitler is the devil incarnet while Stalin is a saint and the benefactor of humanity. Go Fig.

I’m not saying Hitler was a good man but I’d argue Stalin was still a shade worse than Hitler in most aspects

They were both maniacs drunk on power and had no problem with ending life on a whim. Were they interesting to study after the fact? Certainly. Would I invite either to a dinner party? Negative.

I would argue that, while stalin did horrible things, he wasn't as consumed by his hatred for one group. Hitler was terrible, Stalin in the same ballpark certainly.

It is not easy to compare them. Both killed a lot of innocent people. I think what makes Hitler scarier to most persons is that he made killing industrialized, creating factories made to kill people while Stalin either just had people shot or sent them to Gulags that probably would kill you.
In either case, I think Pol Pot were actually worse then either of them. He killed at least 25% of his own population and there were less a method to his madness, one day he liked you and the next he had you killed just because. That guy was like making Jason Voorhees a world leader. If I had to pick between living in Nazi Germany, Stalins Soviet union and Pol Pots Campuchea (commie name for Cambodia) I fear Pol Pots country would be lowest on my list even if all 3 would be terrible.
All 3 were bloody evil though, the difference is that Stalin is still rather popular in Russia while very few people in Germany like Hitler or Cambodians like Pol Pot. Since Stalin was on the winning side of WW2 history have been far too kind to him.
That is a good point. While Stalin were far from kind to groups like cossacks he didn't hate anyone to the level Hitler hated Jews. Hitler did hate other groups too like homosexuals and gypsies but he had a hate we rarely see in history for Jews.
Hitler poured resources on genocide that he needed for the war on a level few if any other leaders would have done, because even someone evil but slightly sane would have focused on winning the war and used every resource they had doing that.

I think that because Stalin has been treated better than Hitler by History he’s a worse figure. Because Stalin’s evil isn’t as widely know (at least not in the UK) Stalin is still quite popular, despite being just as bad if not worse than Hitler in many aspects. (Jesus it’s hard to argue Stalin is worse than Hitler without seeming like a Nazi)

Lol, I think Hitler actually were slightly worse but that the fact that Stalin still is popular in some places while everyone hates Hitler muddles the whole thing.
And Mao wasn't better then Stalin either, he is still very popular in China even though he was a madman.
History is biased, archaeology isn't. The history books have always been written down by the winners and a lot of importtant facts have been removed for political reasons. It is even harder when we go back in time past the 19th century and we might have a single biased description of what went down.

It’s pretty scary that if you start with a debate over Stalin or Hitler being worse then 2 or 3 names can just as easily be put into that debate but because they’re not European they’re forgotten.
Medieval History is sketchy as hell. The prevalence of the Catholic Church and Monks often being the only literate people makes trying to find a truly 100% reliable and unbiased source well nigh impossible.
