Announcement: General Election

As it has reached April 23rd, the selected date of the next general election, I encourage all to vote in the election. All registered Political Parties shall be on the ballot, the following parties are:

• Vanguard
• Center
• Red Standard

In future, I would reccomend parties issue their "party list" of candidates before an election. This makes the prospective list of parliamentarians clear, in order of preference by the party.

ie Center's may be
1. Leria
2. Cappedore
3. NIMBYs

If Center only win 1 seat, only Leria is elected. If 2, both Leria and Cappedore would be elected etc. Exceptions can be made if there are more seats won than candidates listed, but publishing the list before the actual is both great for voter transparency, and it makes it immediately clear exactly who is elected at the close of the vote.

You have a good point there and that's something to look into, I don't think it'll ever become a mandatory measure but it's a good idea I hope the Union's parties chose to adopt in future elections, I think the number of seats in parliament may need to be lowered following this election, along with provisions for independent candidates to run.

Red Standard: 1 vote, 7.6%, 1 seat

As the Transitional Speaker of Parliament, I formally request all Party Leaders to announce their appointment of MP's in Parliament by the 26th April 2021 at 21:00 GMT. As the constitution states: "The Parliament shall appoint a Prime Minister from the leader of the largest party or coalition in parliament." I request the leader of the Centre Party, Leria to form a Government in the Kaiser's name.

Respectfully, with the request of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Imperial Union of Allied States, I shall form a government in the Kaiser, South Waterford's name, this government shall govern through compromise, to rewrite our laws and to find an agreeable middle-ground between ourselves and the opposition. With that, I announce the 1st Leria Ministry.

Cheers Leria for the appointment as Deputy Prime Minister, I will take the oath in due course. I look forward to working with you all in both Parliament and Cabinet. I call on the other parties to immediately announce the nations that will take their seats in Parliament, or these will remain vacant and unfilled.
I await the Speaker Cappedore's judgement on when these names must be submitted, as I would wish for this to be done promptly to enable a quick start to the Legislative Session. I also call on the Speaker to determine the date of the State Opening of Parliament.
