Orange Creek wrote:"Mhm, the Latin Thrawns prefer to empower the ancient nobility rather than themselves. It's the reason why Arcadia had Francis become Emperor, rather than simply enthroning herself as Empress. Aligned with this, it's also the reason why House Wittelsbach has limited authority, because the current system allows for plentiful other houses to exercise political authority within the country."

It seems that, despite actually wanting centralization, the Latin Thrawns are the ones responsible for the amount of empowered nobility, largely due to their desire to keep a balance of power as well as to uphold traditional authority figures.

"I think that I may have just enough for both nobles, but I might take a loan from you if ever they demand for more money. The Duchy of Athens and the Duchy of Philippopolis are powerful fiefs, and their votes count heavily during court sessions. It'll be a good deal for them to come out in favor of pardoning me. My only issue then would be the Byzantines, specifically the Palaiologoi, who'll probably side with the Thrawns in ensuring my capture."

She drinks, and would hiccup from the alcohol diving deep into her system.

"Let's begin now, whilst there is still time. Anatolia will fall any moment now to the Latins, but Syria and West Croatia are still holding out."

He would nod in agreement and stand up

"Very well, this way." He would grab the half-empty bottle and put it inside his suit cautiously, "For the way, let's go." He headed for the door he came in, but doubtfully would wait a little bit before opening to pop his head out.

A quick murmurr from the otherside by Hans and the sound of footstep going away fast was heard, he proceeded then to open the door fully and wave her to come silently.

BREAKING
An F840 VTOL fighter broke apart in midair over the SNW Afterlight aircraft carrier during exercises yesterday. The aircraft carrier was in the Bahia Blanca, running crew reaction time exercises when the incident occurred. The aircraft was 50 feet (15 meters) above the ship when it began breaking apart. The pilot managed to eject in time, but the fighter was unsalvageable. The cause of the incident is currently being investigated. Around NS$10,000 of damage was done to the deck of the Afterlight, and repairs will be completed within two months.

The Westphalian Post 9/25/19

by The westphalian post

GOOD MORNING WESTPHALIA!

Thoughts Of The People

Q: The westphalian post, as the newspaper nation of Westfalen Westphalia, and a handsome devil, what are your thoughts on the region and its affairs?
A:
The Westphalian Post:"I believe this moment in Westphalian history is certainly interesting, as we are headed into the fall. One of our allies has fallen and disbanded, NWE seems to be doing its own thing, and publication has been delayed thanks to many of my reporters having been kidnapped by the infamous 'Yang Gang'. Overall, I believe we should focus more on ourselves and building back up our culture."

A Political Awakening

In the last week, after talks of the possibility, Westfalen Westphalia's first officially recognized political party has been created. Named the 'White-Mane Royalist Party', the political party created by Ecotopia2 wasted no time in setting down the issues it stands with. The party aligns itself with the Monarchist ideology, with the belief that we should empower the role of Emperor, stick by traditional Westphalian values, and strengthen the culture of Westfalen Westphalia. One proposal given in the party's dispatch (nation=ecotopia2/detail=factbook/id=1257487) mentions how the party wants to create a "museum" of arts in the region, filled with works from the regions residents, in order to attract new ones from outside our borders. The party currently has three members (Ecotopia2, The evile republic, and Flame1). When asked how he feels about the creation of the White-Mane Royalist Party, Ecotopia2 replied that he was "..glad that slowly, but surely, Westfalen Westphalia is moving towards becoming more politically proactive region. We White-Manes are fortunate to have the requirements, and are proud patriots of this great region".
Already, there is talk of perhaps more political parties on the way, with one example being the proposition of creating a 'Cheesecake Party', to which the Emperor Nuer-texias would be welcome to join, according to the nation Wandering Wallabies on discord. Whether this will prove to truly be a revolutionary moment in recent Westphalian history is yet to be seen. This is The westphalian post, out.

The Emperor, Missing?

The Westphalian Emperor Nuer-texias has not been seen that much, only popping out occasionally with a greeting or remark to the region, before returning to hibernation. When we sent the Emperor questions for the interview we were arranging with his majesty, we have not heard from him since, which is indeed very peculiar. Since that point, Nuer-texias has not been seen in public.
This is not the first instance of a missing person's case in Westfalen Westphalia. For example, most of the staff being kidnapped last week, reportedly by the 'Yang Gang', which has delayed our reporting on the region for quite a while. Then there's the case of Eclandia, a former member of The Council Of Elders, who after missing for a month finally showed up last weekend deceased, lacking 4 fingers, as well as a head. Nobody knows if the 'Yang Gang' was behind this tragedy or not, though they are a suspect. Is it possible even, that our very own Emperor Nuer-texias has been kidnapped, too? Will he reply to our messages?? Will Flame1 be the next Goku?
Unfortunately, we can only speculate, and pray for those lost to return to us. This is The westphalian post, out.

Rest In Peace

Over the weekend, Hulldom, founder of the region The Republican Antilles, announced that the region, a known ally of Westfalen Westphalia, will soon be demolished. Proceeding to do so officially on Wednesday of this week, the reason behind this comes from the inactivity of the region, and the failure to attract new nations into its borders. Deciding enough was enough, Hulldom this week finally decided that it was time to pull the plug.
Unfortunately, because the region's discord was deleted, The westphalian post was unable to find a direct quote announcing the decision. In response to this news, many regions, including Westfalen Westphalia offered refuge to citizens of The Republican Antilles, who will inevitably be kicked our before the region itself shuts down. To New Web Forums, And Beyond

In a recent move by Cannula, leader and WA of Westfalen Westphalia, and Wandering Wallabies, a new offsite forum has been created.
"Greetings. Let me introduce you to the new off-site RMB: https://westfalenwestphalia.freeforums.net/" -Wandering Wallabies 09/15/2019
According to its creators, the forum's purpose is to serve as a platform for information concerning Westfalen Westphalia. If things go according to plan, newcomers as well as current residents will be able to regularly use the site, and access sections relating to our region, helping promote what makes Westfalen Westphalia great. As of now, the site is up and running, Aside from the occasional update, the forum has largely worked upon, and has been made ready for public consumption. This is The westphalian post, out.

Emperor of the Western Romans

In an effort to at the very least appease the Western Latins, as well as the bulk of the remnant Restorationists, the Latin Patriarch of Constantinople would be granted authority over the ceremonial, de jure institutions of the Western section of the Latin Empire which was never dissolved.

However, unable to claim the imperial title himself due to national policies against caesaropapism, the Patriarch Stephen Orsini would instead select one of the clericalist nobles to act as puppet emperor in his stead, selecting the politically insignificant Carl-Christian of Holms-Lich, whose dynasty has only ever ruled over minor comital fiefdoms throughout its existence.

With significant backing from much of the conservative courts, and with notable opposition from the Byzantines, Carl would be crowned as Charles VIII, ever August, Emperor of the Romans, and would be granted the titles of Prince of Bavaria, King of Italy, and King of Hungary, to rule alongside Francis III as co-rulers of the western and eastern sections of the country.

In practice, however, Charles VIII would merely be a pawn of the Latin Patriarch, with his actual imperial territory only confined to the City of Munich, which was specifically made to be ruled by a Latin Emperor, as well as the Kingdom of Hungary, which was the only western Latin territory to survive the Latin Emergency. The rest of the country's "western section", however, would be controlled directly by the unrelated Empire of Germany, as well as various rump states.

The Crispo and de La Roche family are going to be interesting meet ups, I hope nothing goes awry. But how troublesome this still is... Ah, but really my only regret is having chosen to fight without having decided to see Ferdinand one last time. I do really regret it."

After sighing a bit, she would brighten up again.

"I don't know. It's not like I'll find happiness in old friends and empty pursuits anymore, not while I'm in hell. It's best to just surround yourself, and distract yourself with pointless bits and things, and soon, you'll be dead. Eases the pain a bit. Don't you think so too, Hans?"

She looks at him as she follows close, thinking for a moment.

"Or maybe that's a bit too morose..."

"My brother had sucessfully restored the Bohemian Nobility just because he found out the person behind some protest was some long-lost school friend, my family hardly break ties and trust unless under a worthy reason of doing so. Then again, we don't really socialize that much nowdays too," He stopped at a corner to sneak his head, then sigh in relief. "You can always holo-call him, that is if he has even learned yet how to do holocalls, if not I think somewhere in here there is still a classic phone of old."

He would stop before the elevator and the door that led to the 'emergency exit', most likely stairs.

"Well not quite yet, and I've tried that but I keep being too fvcking smart and too fvcking alive to not notice, as my brother used to say. And he's a workaholic, all he ever needs is just a constant task and he'll be as good as you and an infinite reserve of alcohol. Sometimes all you need is to make a new home or try to resemble the one you most liked and probably is less controversial."

He then turned to her, "Elevator could be halted if they suddenly notice that I am not taking you to the bathroom, in the stairs is probably darker than satan's taints."

I am going late to school just for Orange, worth it since today I got like nearly four hours straight of fvcking math

"I don't want to bother him, not through something as noisy as a call. He's been meditating a lot recently, repenting a lot to the bishops too. Mostly, he spends his time at his bedside. People don't even see him anymore outside his house, so maybe there's a reason he's been keeping quiet."

She pauses, thinks, and would follow up on her words, "And to speak more practically, calling him will reveal my location by satellite. He's in Athens, so he'll be using a state-owned phone..."

After rounding the corner, she would add, "That's the inevitability of being learned, I suppose. You'll never, ever be satisfied. And that doesn't just go for us, it goes for the majority of people. Have you seen the Latin peasantry lately? They're moralistic, quiet, and now much wealthier with all the economic reforms. If I'm to guess, they're the happiest people in the world and they don't even know it"

Just as they halt by the elevator and stairs, she concludes, "Just keep pretending that I'm happy, I suppose. With enough apathy, and maybe a touch of stupidity, I'll just realize one day that I've stopped pretending."

After only a split's second thought, Caroline would nope out of being trapped inside a metal box. "I'll take the stairs I suppose. If it's completely pitch black though, I may have to hold tight to a railing to keep safe. I mean, it's better than being trapped inside an elevator awaiting impending doom."

"I think at this point only Sweden and Mervay do not have as much state-owned thing as the rest of Europe, and He's in Athens...curious place to be at the time, I imagine he speaks only Latin there." He headed to the door, with a sigh as it was one of those heavy doors to move.

He would cackle as he forcefully opened the exit door, looking sideways to see if anybody heard that "Sounds like Denmark before it ceased being Denmark, doesn't it?" He would finally open the door, walking to the opposite side and grabing the handle from inside, expecting caroline to go inside so he could close it.

"Worry not, just loose yourself into the least intelligent places of the internet and you will feel your stupidity rising in a matter of just thinking of it. Apathy seems the easy bit of your treatment, central europeans find it rather easy after a while." He looked through the shadow-filled staircase, for it was a snail staircase.

He took out his holophone and turned it on, "Do I take it or do you want to take it?" He asked
