I assume most of yous are American, the US looks all kinds of screwed up in terms of covid atm. Australia has it pretty under control except Melbourne, where I live (and coincidentally so does Max Barry), which has ~300 new cases every day because a security guard making sure people don't escape from our quarantine hotels slept with one of the people in there, got covid, and spread it to the rest of the state which is nice lol. We're on the other side of the peak though thank God, we had 700+ a day.
Good on you. Australia and NZ had it pretty much under control from the start.
We, on the other hand, missed multiple chances to take it down. The police brutality doesn't help much. Nor do the people screaming, "Liberty! Liberty! Liberty!" and whipping out their guns any time they are politely asked to don a mask.
Personally, I'm waiting for the revolution to explode when the mass evictions start in about a month or so.
Like, mass evictions from rental properties?
Our state government just banned evictions for the year hahaha
So civilized -- that's how things should be. There should be a moratorium on foreclosures on landlords that aren't getting rent from their unemployed tenants and on home mortgages for people who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
