The Imperium of Husseberg is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Kaiser Reinhold II with an iron fist, and notable for its rum-swilling pirates, museums and concert halls, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, cynical population of 3.331 billion Hussans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The medium-sized, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Blumenland. The average income tax rate is 82.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Hussebergian economy, worth 545 trillion Imperial Credits a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 163,774 Imperial Credits, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

An increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents, the "Dreadnowt" is the pride and joy of the Hussebergian Navy, the slowest students feel vaguely targeted by their Mendelian Inheritance coursework, and soldiers' positions are given away by the glint of their bayonets. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Husseberg's national animal is the Ferrets, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Husseberg is ranked 67,286th in the world and 1,170th in The East Pacific for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring 3,525.19 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
