Overview of Lugmeltistan

Originally, The Empire of Lugmeltistan was formed in 12,250 H.E. out of the middle of Russia, with the countries East Russia to the east, West Russia to the west, and Indochina to the south. Then, in 12,525 H.E. they changed realities and ended up in Lazarus, in NationStates, on the internet, on the day May 4, 12,016 H.E. at U.T.C. time 07:02:13 P.M. according to the NationStates Boneyard.

The Empire of Lugmeltistan is a country with a troubled, rocky past that little remember or believe. Originally, it was in a universe that, at one point, had a utopian society of immortal beings who unlocked interdimensional travel. Those immortals killed each other in a civil war over mortal rights, leaving the only the mortals they created, silently carrying their own DNA. New immortals popped up on rare occasions, notably when the immortals in the newly formed Artisan Foundation. Led by the superimmortal Diamond Artisan, they fought hyperimmortal extremists in the year 12,060 H.E. over the fate of mortals and immortals forevermore. The Artisan Foundation won, but with heavy losses, and isolated themselves in a facility at the geographic south pole. Lugard Melton discovered a clean, infinite energy source in 12,247 H.E. and was destined to solve world problems, including the century old energy crisis. He used it to found his own country in 12,050 H.E. and successfully brought world peace for decades. However, his son, Lugard Melton II, committed patricide, took his position of power, and everything went terribly wrong. Things got worse for people with every generation of Melton, until Lugard Melton V, believed to be the reincarnation of the first Lugard Melton, led a rebellion against his forefather's regime, with help from the Artisan Foundation, and won. Then, in 12,525 H.E. on Victory Day, everything haphazardly transported itself to a new reality; the region Lazarus, somewhere in NationStates. Years passed, people began to accept it, move on, and forget their history. It is still there, lurking in the shadows.

Now, the environmentally stunning Empire of Lugmeltistan is a successful, socialist nation of equitable equality, with technology and policies so progressive that they even allow for A.I. citizens to be amongst the ranks. Ruled by the charismatic and progressive Leader Lugard Melton, Lugmeltistan is understanding of situations life puts people in and helps everyone reach their full potential so that, together, all will live their best life (even though the infinite energy ran out).

( They ran on transmutation, but killed each other off in a bloody civil war over whether they should have made lesser immortals, referred to simply as mortals.
Since Diamond Artisan fell into some sort of stasis after using so much of his abilities and was swallowed by the earth, the Artisan Foundation leadership fell to his great-granddaughter, Kate Artisan.
This undid the fledgling utopia because there was a kill switch on the machines that made power from them go on and off sporadically.)

History

Unknown to 00:00:00 U.T.C. 01-01-0 H.E.
Relatively long ago, somewhere in the multiverse, there was a utopian society of powerful beings. Scientists later called them immortalis homo, or "immortal man" in english. These ancient "Immortals" were, anatomically, almost exactly like homo sapiens, or Mortals. There are two noticeable differences between Mortals and Immortals, however:
Mortals have a solid, colored epidermal layer made up of skin cells that flake off gradually like scales. Immortals have a translucent, pencil-gray shaded epidemal layer made of one thin piece

mortali immortalis, or "mortal immortal" in english.

immortalis ultra divina, or "immortal beyond the divine" in english.

13:13:13 U.T.C. 01-13-12,000 H.E. to 13:13:12 U.T.C. 01-13-12,243 H.E.
melius quam immortalis, or "better than immortal" in english.

13:13:13 U.T.C. 01-13-12,243 H.E. to 13:13:12 U.T.C. 01-13-12,525 H.E.

(This will be one of your longest sections. No story is complete unless you start here, but a good place to start might be with the prehistoric tribes in your country's geographic area. Maybe your country exists in a real world place (Ponderosa, for example, is an alternative to what is really the Southwestern US) in which case your history may be largely drawn from real-world history. Or, you might get even more creative, inventing a country in the far future or even in another world entirely! It's all up to you, but no factbook is complete without the History section. Go all out here!)

Geography

(This is a mid-sized section, but it should be pretty easy - especially if your country is located on Earth. Start out with some basic facts about land and water area, which part of the world your country is located, and a short list of its overseas territories and whatnot. Then, go into more depth about all the various regions (the west is dominated by Mediterranean coastline, the north is mostly desert, etc). If you want, include some pictures - a satellite image, perhaps, or photos of various plants and animals. Did I mention that? Climate and wildlife information are good sub-sections for this section.)

Demographics

(All about people. Begin with some information about population size and estimated growth rates, including immigration effects. Then, add short paragraphs about the composition of your population: race, religion, language, sexual orientation, etc. If you have information about population density and largest cities, it should also go here. Be sure to check the largest cities section of this guide!)

Government

(A description of your government system. This includes what it is ("The Federation of Trapjackistan is a theocratic dictatorship...") followed by sections on your political divisons, election system, foreign relations, and taxation.)

Military

(This is often a subsection of your government section. This is often where factbook writers make a huge mistake - they forget that the military section should be a brief overview. Nothing is more annoying then getting a telegram asking me to look at a factbook, only to find that my template has been used as little more than dressing around a main course of enormous photos of military hardware. If you must include a picture, limit yourself to one. Also include information about military size, major divisions (like Air Force or Army, not detailed information about the Twelfth Stormtrooper Platoon ffs), and budget.)

Economy

(A mid-sized section about your economy. Some questions that should be answered: What economic system does your country use? What's your GDP, and how fast is it growing? Is your country rich or poor? How big is the private sector compared to the public sector? What products do you export, and who do you trade with? Income, poverty, and homelessness are also good sections to have here.)
